Late-night eatery featuring familiar Thai dishes in a relaxed setting adorned with a foliage wall.
I walk by this place all the time, and it's always full. So tonight I went and was not disappointed. For being in the Tenderloin, this is the best Thai I've had in a long time. Portions are really big and very reasonable priced. Just don't say you want super spicy, I like super spicy foods, but that was a little too much. Definitely recommend it to anyone who has never been there.
I was here last night with friends celebrating Mom. We were seated as soon as we entered and the place had a big group that was dining there. The lady server was the only one helping so she was too much tied up but still she was good with serving water and menu cards. They do have separate menus for alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks besides the food menu. The menu has vegetarian, meat, seafood, noodles and main entrees. We ordered Tom yom soup, pineapple fried rice, chicken noodles, salmon curry, catfish curry and side egg fried rice . Everything was good. The catfish curry looks spicy because of its color but it's not spicy. We also requested dessert fried banana with ice cream as my friend's mom likes it. The lady later brought sticky rice with mango with a candle on it. Also, with music playing happy birthday to you , that was very touching what the server lady did. Something which none of us expected. We loved that gesture and left happily. I will definitely recommend this place as it's open till midnight and the food, service and ambience is great and it's not too pricey.
We stopped by Million Thai for lunch before a matinee show at the Curran Theater. The menu had a good and fairly standard selection of dishes. The yellow curry was DELICIOUS - a lovely depth of flavor and nicely spiced without being spicy. Their Thai Iced Tea was also delicious (and most unexpected in SF, served with a plastic straw, thankfully). The server was very friendly and personable.
We'd definitely come back again for future shows at the Curran.
Great atmosphere with the esxeption of the homeless people outside. The food was okay, but the sound of microwave bells going off as our food was being prepped made me feel uneasy. At least the curry is microwaved.
If you've ever been to Thailand and miss the authentic flavors.... this is the place. 💚
love that this place is open late. it can be hard to find a good place to eat late at night in nob hill but you KNOW i'm always down for thai food like i will slurp that mf pad see ew like i've never eaten a day in my life and that's exactly what i did that last three times that i went here. place is small but usually not too busy so you always get a good spot. good menu. decent food and good service. nothing crazy to write home about. they don't have portraits of the king and queen of thailand so like it can't be THAT good but it most certainly hits the spot for late night curry cravings. tbh. what am i even saying. i'm here like every week. and the prices are reasonable for the area.
I just ordered a pad see ew with beef through their website for pick up & it’s delicious!
They used both Chinese broccoli and American broccoli which was cool because I haven’t seen many restaurants do that.
The portion is huge for the price (which if you order through their website & enter the promo code, you get like 10% off). The flavor is really good but be careful if you can’t handle spice! I ordered it at a medium level and it’s got a much bigger kick to it than I expected, which I love and don’t mind. But if you’re sensitive to spice, I’d probably order spice level none or low lol.
The server was really friendly when I came to pick up my order & I’ll definitely be back!
The food was so delicious but the neighborhood is full of homeless people.
pork tastes weird
Some of the best, most reasonably priced Thai i have had. Good presenation, great taste, great service. Highly recommend.
My favourite Thai restaurant in the City. I love the quality and taste of the food. The service is fast and efficient. The only thing I would change are the chairs, somewhat uncomfortable.
Freundlicher Service und gutes Essen!
Kleines gemütliches Restaurant in Downtown SF. Es gibt für jeden Geschmack etwas auf der Speisekarte
Posto molto carino e confortevole. Servizio delizioso e piatti veramente buoni
The food is very good! Between 5 pm till 7 pm it's happy hour: Beer 3, Wine 5.
The place was laid back, service was perfect (not too invasive and came around enough to take care of our needs), and most importantly the food was delicious. It felt like eating at my auntie’s house.
Watch out for their spice levels
Very relaxing and food tasted great!
This is a gem in the tenderloin. Was walking home late and wanted to grab a (relatively) cheap and healthy dinner. I had Million Thai saved on a friend's recommendation but this was my first time going. I got the Pad See Ew with chicken and it's the best Pad See Ew I've had so far in SF. Very flavorful, and the meat & veggies were perfectly cooked. It came with a small side salad. I also ordered the tofu spring roll appetizer which was very fresh and well made. It ended up being $27 with enough food leftover for a good lunch.
I was the only dining in when I arrived so service was very prompt and attentive. I saw one of the staff bring out cokes for the Recology workers picking up the trash which was nice.
The space is relaxed, cheerful, cozy, and clean. I'll definitely be back and hopefully with friends so we can try more things on the menu!
Currently eating some of the best Pad Thai I have ever tasted. The restaurant is very clean with interesting decor and art. The woman who helped me was so friendly and gave me a water and slices of watermelon while I waited. The whole vibe of the place was warm and inviting and the service was above a beyond! Thank you for the great food and service!!
food is alright but they have marked out "over rice" from their curries and now charge 3.5 dollars extra for a cup of plain white rice. The weirdest thing I have seen happen at an asian restaurant
Good Thai food and excellent service. Pumpkin curry, shrimp spring roll appetizers, and Tom Ka soup were well prepared; they’ll make vegan accommodations upon request.
If you’re in the neighborhood catching a show or at a club, this place will do fine even though there are better Thai spots if you drive a couple of miles west.
I walk by this place all the time, and it's always full. So tonight I went and was not disappointed. For being in the Tenderloin, this is the best Thai I've had in a long time. Delicious!! Best yellow curry ever!
Super leckeres thailändisches Essen mit einem tollen Preis- Leistungsverhältnis!
Super freundlich!
Einfach top!
Came here for a quick lunch. The pineapple fried rice was very good and so was the pad thai. Definitely has that hole-in-a-wall goodness feeling to it. I recommend this place for anyone looking for some solid Thai food.
The service was prompt and friendly.
Food great, service warm and efficient. Two TVs in a small dining room was too much (did I mention great food!)
The service was the worst we ever experienced. The server kept asking us if we are ok, staring at us in a such a weird way. We told her we are going to share the food. When she brought us the dish, istead of putting it on the table, she kept holding it in her hands for a while and then she commented: do you want to share it? The second dish was brought to us by her colleague. Apparently, she did not want to serve us anymore. He was very polite! The whole situation was very odd and tension and the server (the lady) was extremely unprofessional since she approached us. At the end, they automatically put 15% gratitute. Seriously?
I am very dissapointed and feel very sorry for the rest if the employees. Because of one server, other suffer as well. We order pad thai (fantastic!) and fresh rolls (avocado was a bit old) but overall, the food was delicious.
If you love Satay/Peanut, get the chicken satays and PraRam main. The Peanut sauce is amazing!!
Great food, my husband loves the peanut sauce!!! Staff are always so friendly and helpful with recommendations. Loved every meal we have had here.
Great Service, Great Food, Dare I say Best in the neighborhood.
I was here last night with friends celebrating Mom. We were seated as soon as we entered and the place had a big group that was dining there. Tiny restaurant but the meals are packed full of flavour. My husband and I LOVE Thai food and always try to get it wherever we go. We can confirm that the Thai food here is reaaaalllll gooooooooooodddd!!! So delicious that we came back twice during our 1 week trip.
It was also a sure fire way to get a solid serving of vegetables in which is always hard when travelling and staying in hotels.
Definitely recommended.
Ordered two items online to pick up. Item 1 should be non-spicy. Item 2 should be mild. Came home, Item 1 is really really spicy and Item 2 is inferno. (I usually eat spicy but this is absurd)
Delicious! One of the best meals I had in San Francisco
very good and inexpensive! what more could a girl ask for
Everything looked very nice and it was very convenient, but the Pad See Ew was probably the most watered down I've ever had. Great presentation and the small salad was nice but the noodles were so lacking it was like the La Croix of Pad See Ew. At the very least it was also quite affordable, but I couldn't see myself coming here again.
Pineapple fried rice is a bit soggy and the chicken wings are not too meaty.
Excellente cuisine thaï. Rapport qualité /prix 👍🏼
What a surprise! If you have lived in Thailand or traveled there extensively and know Thai food well, go straight to the back page. (Thai only, with Latin and Thai script.) If you’re not an expert and order from that page anyway, please don’t complain if what shows up seems a little strange, too spicy ow whatever. It’s made the way it’s supposed to be. Don’t ruin it for the rest of us by complaining and giving them the incentive to Americanize it, like the Thai food you get most places.
There is a definite homeless presence in the neighborhood, but don’t worry about taking Muni and walking around. Just watch your step, move steadily towards your destination, and mind your own business. You should be perfectly fine.
This is our new go to Thai place. Super bold flavors. We had the pork neck salad tonight, which was really surprising and delicious. Love that they make the cashew chicken with crispy chicken.
Amazing fried rice and drinks for a fair price
Everything very good.
Solid Thai food. Definitely recommend.
Quick service and great food. We had an hour before seeing a show at the Golden Gate Theater. Our server greeted us as we walked in the door and got our order started right away. The food came out hot and plenty of flavor! My yellow curry had some spice to it which I loved. Plenty of rice too. Our server also brought out some complimentary slices of watermelon. Perfect cool down for my dish. The restaurant was clean and we were able to close out our bill quickly even with four other tables being served. It’s a cozy seating area but overall great atmosphere.
Nice place. Fairly busy when I was there so the time it took to get my food was long but reasonable. Service was good, waitress was nice, and the food was also good. Also very good value.
Great Food!!!
Came into town for weekend Xmas shopping and saw this place had great reviews/ratings and had to try it. My lady is a Thai efficianado and she was very very pleased as was I! It really is a gem and will be coming back when we are in the city next
The food here was amazing and so tasty. Highly recommend it! Personalized good to our taste !
Excellent food so delicious and awesome staff tonight. Great prices!!
Wow I seriously don't understand how this place got 4.3 stars! The food was basically just noodles, with soy sauce, miniscule pieces of meat and perhaps one stalk of broccoli. I was so sad because I had hoped for so much more.
Wunderbares Essen, sensationeller Geschmack! Äußerst freundlicher Service, einfach tadellos! Wir kommen wieder !!!
We stopped by after our dinner plans fell though but I’m so happy they did. The staff was very nice and the service was amazingly fast. The best part? The food was SO GOOD, quite literally one of the best meals I’ve ever had. You’ll thank yourself for checking this place out.
The most delicious Thai food! Don’t miss it, you must try for yourself!
Fantastisk sted. Virkelig lækker mad, utrolig høflig betjening, og bare overordnet set, rigtig gode råvarer. Priserne var ligeledes helt fair. Klart et besøg værd
Its a pretty decent thai restaurant. Saw the place is small in photos, so called them in advance to find if there’s any waiting. Food was tasty. Ambiance is pretty decent.
We stopped by on the way to a concert, in a rush. we asked how long for noodles and the staff had them ready in 3 mins. Best pad kee mao I’ve ever had and staff were super friendly and accommodating. Don’t be deterred if it’s not super busy because the food is amazing.
Super Essen, netter Kellner, ein wenig zu kleines Lokal für meinen Geschmack
Wonderful food and wonderful service! Lots of vegetarian options! Particularly great pad see ew. Portion sizes are huge (much bigger than they look on the menu!). Be aware that if you order a mild curry it'll still have a bit of a kick (which I liked, but if you want no spice at all be sure to say so). 10/10!
We ended up here when another Thai restaurant was too busy but ended up loving it. The guay tiew lord was full of seafood and had an amazing sauce. The larb salad was delicious and had plenty of spice and mint. The fried bananas were also super tasty. The whole time we ate we talked about how we want to come here again. Server was really nice but definitely was busy with how packed it was. Anyways, can’t be beat for $20 a person sit down dinner and dessert.
Sehr freundlicher Service.
Das Essen wurde schnell zubereitet und hat hervorragend geschmeckt. Die Portionen sind recht groß und es sollte jeder satt werden.
Die Preise sind sehr Bodenständig.
A great little Thai place. We ended up returning for a second visit on our return to San Fran. Service and food is just lovely. Everything you would expect from a good Thai restaurant. Surroundings and even frontage may be off putting to some but don't be. You won't be disappointed. Complimentary mini fruit platter for the end of the meal us the cutest and very tasty and welcome.
We had shrimp rolls, Thai fried rice, and panang curry. Everything was flavorful and delicious! The service was top-notch. I definitely plan to eat there again before I leave San Francisco!
Von aussen eher unscheinbar. Drinnen sehr sauber. Service ist richtig freundlich und Essen war sehr schmackhaft.
This restaurant was recommended by the Orange Village Hostel, it turned out to be an excellent recommendation. Although the restaurant was busy and we had to wait for a table (which is usually a good sign), the service was prompt and very polite. We had two combination meals on sizzling platters and a thai style fried rice. The food was piping hot, very tasty and plentiful. All washed down with a cold Thai beer. Thanks very much.
Great option for quick late night Thai food. Super tasty and the staff are friendly.
This place is awesome. Food was fantastic. I’ve never written a review about any where I have been, I liked this place so much I just had to say something. The owner is such a nice guy too. Go, you won’t be disappointed.
Excelente comida, el menú tiñes fotos de varios platos, buena atención.
Pretty good Thai option. Small place but with a menu with a lot of tasty sounding options. Lunch specials available, even on weekends.
The pad kee mao was not too spicy but still quite good. Nice fresh green beans were used. I was not expecting the chicken to be ground (even though it is traditional) so personally I would try a different protein in this preparation if you don't want it this way. Lunch special included choice of a side - the spring rolls were fine but nothing special. Also a small salad and some fresh fruit. Even though it was a lunch special the portion was large. Presentation was nice.
Decent prices for 2023 SF area. ($20 after tax)
Outstanding!
What a hidden gem in Tenderloin / Union Square area for Thai food. Came here for lunch, not expecting much…. Staff were extremely nice and attentive.
I think what I enjoyed the most was just how tasty the food was. The Penang curry was great (and not too spicy). Really great presentation also, loved the orchid flower on my dish!
Will be back!
Great!
Fairly priced for the area. Hearty portions of fresh Thai options. You will need to ask for chili powder or chili sauce if that's your thing. Tiny space, frequently packed (a good sign of the quality). Food prep time is a bit long, but fast and easy to pay up, box up, and move along on a lunch.
Good food and service. Liked the yellow curry and vegetarian fried rice. Staff was very friendly !
So so good! We ordered the vegi egg rolls, Pra Ram, & the Pad Khee Mao and shared everything. Large portions, low prices, and excellent food and service. 10/10
Authentic thai
Excellent yellow curry
Green Thai curry is so good!
Very tasty and very friendly. Affordable
Wanted Thai food late at night with my date and this place delivered! Noodle dishes were excellent, service was great. Would recommend
Had a fresh roll with prawn as will as seafood pho.
nice small kinda authentic Thai restaurant, just next to Hilton SF hotel.
The Green Curry is definitely amongst the best Thai curries I've ever experienced!
affordable prices. unfortunately I haven't seen anything like a lunch-combo-special.
The interior could be a bit more "thai-cozy", plus it was too cold.
but overall it was very good and most definitely the food was supertasty!
I had a delicious green curry and very good service in general. I recommend it.
This restaurant is close to thai tasty, papaya salad, Tub wan it was great
Got food poisoning
One of the best Thai places I’ve ever eaten at.
Gorgeous facility. The duck was tender, the panang curry was creamy, spicy, and the dish was hot the entire time. I got the Thai iced coffee and it was strong and velvety. I highly recommend this restaurant. Sumit was a very attentive server and the table was cleaned constantly. My crystal water cup was never empty. Compliments to the chef and Sumit.
Good food
Love this place! Great food and great price. Very nice staff when I picked up my food
I stayed that the Hilton across the street for 8 days and ate at this lovely restaurant almost every day! The food quality, portion size, and variety are all unmatched in the area. The family who owns it are all very friendly and committed to retaining their customer base. Go taste Thailand at Million Thai!
Atmosphere was amazing and so was the food. Definitely a good find.
Gutes Essen zu einem fairen Preis.
Nettes und freundliches Personal
Really great Thai food. Food came out a bit sporadically but that's mostly because I was part of a large group.
It was our first meal in SF so we were anxious to get food! The food was tasty althought a little heavy for us. The place was quite with a nice environment, althought a lot of smell to fried food (obviously).
As expected, they asked us if we have the vaccination probe to sit inside. (Oct. 2021)
Great foods. Great customer service
I give million thai a 5 star. They are friendly. I call to order and requested special orders on the papaya salad and larb salad and yes they made it for me. Mind you I've call 3 different thai restaurants first. Alot of thai restaurants here in SF only carry thai style papaya salad & plain larb style salad... but I wanted laos style papaya & a different style larb n of course they made it for me. 🤗🤗
Good food from all around the Thailand regions with authentic taste north, south ,east ,west and central
Very good food and reasonable prices. The pineapple & orange slices with the flower garnish were a nice touch.
Other than that, it’s Thai food. Assume it will be good, and when you come here, expect it to be fantastic!
Great food for a reasonable price. Loved the crispy basil and penang curry
Authentic Thai food, not sweetened, lots of spice.
Very quiet place in downtown SanFran but some of the best Thai food!!! Everything is SO fresh and good, and the service is fast. Must stop if you can find this little gem
식당 자체가 쾌적하고 고급스러우며 음식은 평타이상 칩니다. 추천드려요
First time here, it was really good. 2nd time the food was mediocre.
OMG!!!! This was the best red curry ever. I got it with tofu and the veggies were great. Fresh broccoli and bell peppers. I got it spicy and it was definitely 🔥. In the best way. Go get you some 🔥🔥🔥. Also. Just walked in for a to go order and it was wicked fast.
Tried the panang curry and green curry and they were both excellent! Perfect for a cold windy day in San Francisco.
Portions were large and service was quick, but this is some of the worst Thai food I've ever had. The pad see ew noodles tasted sour, and the chicken was flavorless and chewy.
Wasn't too sure about the place at first but food was great, would come back again.
