Delicious Thai restaurant. I recommend the Drunken Noodles

Diner Review №2

Loved the food.

Diner Review №4

We ordered for a company on Thanksgiving and we were very disappointed, the chicken was so over cooked, the rice and soups was okay.... I just feel for the price that everyone contributed to over $200 for various foods, that the food should have been fresh, and make a person at least want to visit the restaurant this was so disappointing.... They should at least serve fresh food and not food that was left over from the night before.... Its 10:25 in the morning and all of my coworkers are finished eating what they could digest... I will never recommend this restaurant to anyone nor will I ever order online. We set up our food to be delivered at 10:30am...do the math from the time they're open to our delivery at 10:06am

I've only used delivery but the food is so good and a great deal!!! This vegetarian is very happy!

Diner Review №14

Decent Thai food with friendly service. The dishes taste like home cooking. The Thai iced tea was good but halfway through the drink I found a fly in between the ice cubes (probably just unlucky though).

Diner Review №15

Very tasty food. Huge portions so a great value. My 3rd time and I really enjoyed it. Definitely will become a regular.

Diner Review №16

The Khao Soi is amazing.

Diner Review №17

My order was wrong and the food was too salty. It tasted like someone dumped soy sauce as the only seasoning ingredient.

Diner Review №18

Great, as always! Eat here 2 or 3 times each time we're visiting San Francisco from Australia.

Diner Review №19

No wait to get in, the food was great and the price was fair. The service was outstanding so i dont understand some of these other comments on here. Also the portions were very large.

Diner Review №20

My burger seemed dry and unexciting, but the others in my party seemed to like their food. Others ordered spring rolls (I had one and these tasted fresh and minty), fried mushrooms, chicken skewers (I had one and they were pretty good), yellow curry, green curry, crab fried rice, etc... So I think I just so happened to pick the wrong dish. I'm not sure how much they spent, but my burger with fries was only $16.

The staff was nice, friendly and attentive. The section we were sitting in was a little snug, but we all fit. Overall, the best part of my experience was the staff and the fact that they accommodated our large party.

Diner Review №21

Came here on a Thursday evening and their reservation system was really simple! Not a lot of people there either.

Good:
- Decently fast service and really nice clean interior
- Loved the pad c u here with chicken, it was so tasty and the noodles were chewy
- The papaya salad was a great texture as well and really good as an appetizer
- I was a fan of the Khao soi, it was a huge portion size and the soup was so good

Bad:
- A little overpriced for Thai food, felt like it was $5 more than other places

Overall really liked this place! It was close to the Barry’s we went to ahead of class.

Diner Review №22

Food is okay. Some staff are nice but one is very rude. She rudely told us to remember what we ordered (we were trying to figure out which dish was the chicken version vs duck version) but then she forgot to bring us half of our dishes so she should remember what we ordered too!

Diner Review №23

Would come again, great food. It's not crowded and quiet, so good for dinner catch up

Diner Review №24

Not only was the food exquisite (I recommend the crispy chicken with Basil, side of jasmine rice), but the service was impeccable. My boyfriend and I ordered our food to go--we're tourists, and I wanted to eat at Dolores Park, but we were on a tight schedule. We picked up our food, said our thanks, and walked out.

Two blocks away, while crossing the street, we heard a polite "excuse me?" We turned back and saw the chef, holding a small box. "I forgot your rice!" She must have sprinted to catch up with us. The food was very tasty. 5/5.

Diner Review №26

I didn’t know this place earlier. We were trying to go Stonemill Matcha next door but they are closed today. Surprisingly the food it’s really good here. We had three appetizers skewer shrimp satay, spring roll, papaya salad. All tasted yummy with quality preparation. Our waiter is really friendly as well with good service. They actually have both Thai food menu and American brunch menu to choose from. The only improvement I will suggest is the interior design and paint color. However, the overall quality food is above average to the other Thai restaurants that I been to.

Diner Review №27

Solid experience! Warm and attentive service paired with fresh and delicious Thai favorites. Also nice as it’s close to BART.

Diner Review №33

Do not eat at this restaurant.
It is the worst Thai food I have never had.
We spent $80 and ended up throwing it all in the trash.

Avocado Summer Rolls
- over ripe / brown avocado and wilted lettuce
App Sampler
- took one bite out of each item but couldn’t eat them
Drunken Noodle
- broccoli was charred/burnt which overwhelmed all flavors
- very little chicken
Crispy Chicken w/ Basil
- crispy means burnt
Yellow Curry
- very little chicken

Diner Review №34

Diner Review №35

Diner Review №36

Accueil chaleureux très agréable repas

Diner Review №37

Had the yellow curry, which I've never had before and was really enjoyable. Have the garlic noodles only if you're a big fan of garlic.

Diner Review №38

One of my favorite spots in the Mission!! They used to be up in 16th, the old location was much roomier and cuter, but the food is just as good at Valencia. Only place where I like drinking Thai Tea. Also, the service is excellent! The servers are very kind and attentive.

Diner Review №42

Well, disgusting Tom Yam. Awfully over salted brown water with one slice of tomato and canned mushrooms. Threw it away. Never ever.

Diner Review №43

Diner Review №44

Amazing service and portion sizes for the price. We were a group of 6 and we paid 80$ with tip! Very reasonable. Recession/inflation friendly!

Diner Review №45

Diner Review №46

They seemed to be short staffed. Okayish veg spring roll and a little too sweet call me berry cocktail. Overall average experience.

Diner Review №47

Everything I ordered was delicious. If you don’t like spice, make sure you let them know.

Diner Review №48

Great service but horrible food. I got the pad kee mau. No flavor, stale tofu. Maybe I was there on a bad day.

Diner Review №49

Diner Review №50

Solid Thai dishes with toned down spiciness. If you like Thai cuisine but can’t deal with spicy food, this is great place to explore. Totally underrated so no waitlist or lines.
The food is fresh and staff is great.

Diner Review №51

Diner Review №52

The food was really good. Quantity wise also good.

Diner Review №53

Diner Review №54

Diner Review №55

The massaman curry is delicious! Tried one of the seafood curries as well—both were tasty but on the slightly sweeter side. The brown rice is a mixed grain one, texturally satisfying and soaked up the curry nicely. Papaya salad was just the right amount of spicy with crunchy peanuts.

Diner Review №56

Diner Review №57

The zesfty beef was really good but my soicytom yum noodle soup was very acidic and not spicy

Diner Review №58

It was okay. Veggie options. Flexible in substituting tofu.

Diner Review №59

Spicy Thai!
This great neighborhood restaurant pulls off all the favorites with a new freshness. Their dedication to fresh, quality ingredients is obvious from the great taste. Each dish is distinct. Thank you KRUA Thai!

Diner Review №60

Somehow generic, and the outdoor seating is on a block with lots of mumbling angry homeless persons.

7/14/21. I've ordered from here several times. 99% of the time the food is perfect. I love 😘 the fried vegetable 🥒🍆 rolls, the avacado rolls, & the fried 🍚. Today though, the fried 🍚 rice & tofu in it were burned. I called Caviar & received a refund for the fried 🍚 portion. I tried to call the restaurant numerous times today but always got a busy line. I asked caviar to tell the manager their cook burned my fried 🍚 today. It never happened before this order.

Diner Review №66

Diner Review №67

Don't bother with the Pad Thai here. Too sour, too bad. It used the thin type of noodles which easily stuck together, resulting in a big sticky noodle mess. Expensive too for $14. Also where were the spring onions? There was nothing appealing about this dish. Cream cheese taffies tasted like they were just re-fried. Thai iced tea too sweet. Krua zesty beef had an odd undercooked texture. I'm giving this 2 stars for the polite staff. Please do better :(
PS their sticky rice wasn't sticky at all. The only nice thing about their mango sticky rice was the mangoes

Diner Review №68

Yummy yummy yumm

Diner Review №69

The staff here is super friendly and they provided Great service. I didn’t enjoy my meal, I had the three seasons fish meal, I was on the spicy side depending on your palette but it was delicious. The portions were really good size and the prices are good too. I will definitely recommend this place and will be coming back.

Diner Review №77

The pad see ew here is shockingly good — I'm amazed by how tender the beef that came with the noodles was. Plus, Krua has outdoor seating in the sun, which has been great during COVID.

Diner Review №78

My favorite local restaurant. Great service and great food. My favorite is the Pad C U, which has a tasty sauce, delicious noodles, and high quality tender beef.

Diner Review №79

Unfortunately my meal was totally unflavored. Anyway I like to thank them for keeping the place open during the pandemia.

Diner Review №80

I understand using fish and oyster sauce, but our chicken skewers tasted like they had been in a sauna with a treatment of putrid dead fish for months. Disgusting does not even describe. I can’t believe what we just ate.

Diner Review №81

Favorite Thai food in the city!

Diner Review №82

Eggplant with tofu was great! Tofu was done really well. Everything was colourful and flavourful. Love the basil taste.

Diner Review №83

Diner Review №84

Diner Review №85

Vegetable egg rolls were spicier and more flavorful than my chicken pad thai neither in a good way.

Diner Review №86

Super nice and accommodating. Tasty too

Diner Review №87

Outdoor seating. There wasn't any left, but a waitress grabbed a table and made a spot for us. Service was good. Food was great.

Diner Review №88

food never came

Diner Review №89

The flavors are so strong and hit the spot! This is a solid Thai place to come back to though the portions are a little small for the price. It's worth it for the flavors. Here are the dishes I ordered:

--Pad See U: The noodles are perfectly flavored but too salty
--Pad Kee Mao: Wonderfully strong basil taste! Although it looks quite similar to Pad See U, it is drastically different in taste. Some people may find this dish too spicy but I was not bothered by it.
--Yellow Curry: PERFECT. It's so good with lots of vegetables. It's a bit sweeter than other yellow curries I've had but this is literally so good. A bit disappointed it doesn't come with rice though. It's +$1 for rice.
--Thai Iced Tea: Loved the flavor but too sweet.

Diner Review №90

The worst pad thai I’v ever had

Diner Review №91

Tom Yum tasted like vomit. Just corners of tofu and a few slices of button mushroom and vomit broth. Tom kha equally disappointing. Charged me for wine we didn't get. Crispy rolls are ok but at what cost

Diner Review №92

Diner Review №93

Diner Review №94

Diner Review №95

The veggie roll appetizers were delicious, but unfortunately the main course I ordered (Pad Thai) missed the mark. It was fairly bland and the tofu in it was soggy and disgusting. Not super impressed.

Diner Review №108

Nice atmosphere. Great staff. Delicious meal.

Diner Review №109

A solid place to grab lunch if you are into less greasy Thai food. I don't think I would consider this place particularly authentic, but the flavors are good and food is fresh without being too oily or heavy.

I'm a fan of their spring rolls for an appetizer - great crunch. And for the main I love the Tom Yum noodle soup with rice stick noodles. I've always enjoyed Tom Yum but had never tried it with noodles until here. Now it's a weekly tradition!

Diner Review №110

Great but not amazing. Tried their signature crispy basil chicken, flavors were great but nothing outstanding for the price. Restaurant itself was spacious and comfortable, would be great spot for a few quiet drinks.

Diner Review №111

The food was cold by the time it got served

Diner Review №112

Diner Review №113

My go-to Thai place in SF. I love the Green Curry - plus they have yummy sangria.

Diner Review №114

Seemed like it took nearly an hour to get food even while the place was nearly empty. Pretty clear they prioritize to go orders ahead of order in. When the curry came it was overly watery and not much to the shrimp or seafood as promised. Final bill came in a bit over expected price for the value - truly worth half the price. Would not dine in there again.

Diner Review №115

Great food service and wait could be improved

Diner Review №116

Solid takeout

Diner Review №117

The most disgusting pad Thai I've ever had.

Diner Review №118

My dish was insanely over-peppered.

Diner Review №119

Perry Meh place. Our drunken noodle was super over peppered (too much ground pepper), made it hard to eat. The fried pad thai wasn't too good either. Go elsewhere!

Diner Review №120

Love the food and drinks.

Diner Review №121

Amazing food and service.

Diner Review №122

Diner Review №123

I ordered a takeaway. They got my order wrong although I checked twice when I picked it up with them. The food was not good and it was pricey

Diner Review №124

Diner Review №125

I have never had a mediocre dish here. Everything, even the standard Thai-American dishes, is exquisitely prepared and delicious. They pay attention details in the taste and presentation. Best samosa in town - soooo good. This is my #1 go-to for delivery, but their establishment is also cute and super clean with very good service. Highly recommend.

Breakfast in the morning, Thai at night! Raw sugar factory turns into blue pea at night! It’s my favorite Thai place in the mission! Their pumpkin curry is delicious. Diner Review №148

Mediocre Thai food. But it's never full, so you can walk in anytime. Service is friendly, portions are on the larger side. Everything tasted fine, but not spectacular. The curry samosas were good. The pad kee mao was okay. The pineapple fried rice had a curry flavor that I didn't like.

Diner Review №160

Not delicious. Overpriced and not authentic. The Tom Yum is chicken broth with raw veggies. They didn't have the spicy garlic chili oil. And my green curry didn't even come with rice. While the food was edible, it tasted on par with Leanne chin, Panda Express or pick up stix. The green curry was halfway decent.

Really great food and very accommodating staff. We went here for a friend’s birthday dinner and despite the huge size of our group, they took great care of us. Even took a few group photos at the end.

All of noodle dishes we had were delicious. We also shared a bunch of apps (scallops, drunken fries, etc) and we were not disappointed.

Diner Review №175

Wow where to start...the vibe is good, decor is ok, but the food was so underwhelming. Sigh. The flavors weren’t authentic Asian. The consistency of the rice and noodle dishes is so off, sticky, almost slimy. Fried rice should be 粒粒分明, noodles should be easy on the tongue like silk that can slide right in. It wasn’t.
