Everything we order was delicious! One of my favorite dish here was their crispy calamari. It was perfectly crispy and the sauce was tasty. We also loved the crab fried rice and the Tom Yun soup. One thing I wanted to point out was that they were very accommodating to my allergies.
I went with three other friends. We ordered various dishes to share:
Starters:
• Crispy Egg Rolls
• Mieng Kim Kung
Specials:
• 24-Hour Beef Noodle Soup
• Basil Bomb
Dessert:
• I-Tim Boran
• Choco Lava Cake
• Mango + Sticky Rice
Everything was tasty, but I especially loved the 24-Hour Beef Noodle Soup (the broth is delicious and the beef just falls off the bone) and Mieng Kim Kung (which has the perfect crunch and texture). Next time I am in town, I’ll have to try more of the seafood!
Stopped by right when they opened just in time for happy hour (5-6pm)! Service was quick and food would be out in literal minutes. The ambiance was interesting/fun/lively and the bathroom decor was insane. But the food.. THE FOOD!! A bit pricey for each dish but worth it!
Pad see you - my all time fave noodle dish. They did an amazing job, the meat to noodle ratio though, they don’t skimp on the meat and it was so delicious (we ordered the wagyu beef, they don’t have regular beef haha).
Hat Yai fried chicken - Seeing southern fried chicken and Thai food combo was an interesting take so we got it! And we did NOT regret it because oh my gosh the fried chicken was sooo crispy as well as the roti. Dipping it in the curry and pairing it with the butterfly pea rice was chef’s kiss. This stole the spotlight and was my favorite dish..
Loved my experience here, I’d say food was at least $$$ per person, so be aware. Also didn’t know this (not a SF native) but they also charge a SF employee mandate, which is an extra 5% to the bill!
The newest Thai restaurant in Berkeley. Highly recommend the 24 hour beef noodle soup and the curry dishes. The beef shank is extremely easy to eat because it’s so tender and soft. The ox tail special is nice, flavorful and tender too. 🥩🐮🐄
Service uniforms and decoration feel Thai authentic too. An instagram able place for get togethers. 😆🥰
Farmhouse Thai is a fantastic spot for authentic Thai food in the Bay Area, with great ambiance and decor. We went for dinner without a reservation and got a seat at the bar. The cocktails were decent but not exceptional. The fresh veggie rolls were amazing—especially the peanut sauce, which was so delicious! The papaya salad was incredibly spicy and flavorful, just perfect. For the entrée, we had the pad kee mao, and it was the best I’ve had—perfectly spiced and absolutely delicious. Overall, a great experience and highly recommended!
Amazing
Rude phone service. Need clearer spiciness selection for delivery. I ordered via DoorDash and could not see a selection option for not spicy or low spice level. So I chose medium spicy which resulted in entrees delivered that were too spicy hot to eat. We were very disappointed. I called to speak with someone at the restaurant who rudely dismissed my concerns and said that no one else ever had such an issue. I continue to believe that Thai Farmhouse Kitchen should clarify how to order entrees that are not spicy or low spice level.
Food is delicious here and a lot of great choices. My only down is the time of kitchen closing. We showed up at our 7:30pm reservation, and first thing we were told before hi was "we close at 8:30pm". And then after our first order, we were told at 7:50pm last call, even for drinks. Lol come-on... This is so early and rushing. Definitely will come back for lunch but this is not a great place if you want to take time with friends for a dinner.
Great food and ambience
Farmhouse Kitchen is the cutest little thai place in SF. The food is pretty solid and not ridiculously expensive for SF. The decorations set the mood, and the staff are friendly and fast.
I had the pad thai, which lasted me another dinner in terms of portions. They also have free desert for a review, which is a delicious coconut ice cream.
Overall, I would bring more people here! I spent $20 with tax and tip.
Really like the food and service
Excellent food, really nice staff. Truly Thai.
Farmhouse Thai is great for vegetarians! We got the roti and dip, pad kee mow (vegan), and the yellow curry. Service was great and food came out relatively quick. Will definitely be coming here again
I was so surprised by this menu. I had no idea that this place was a hidden gem around the corner. I took my friend there who’s visiting from out if town. we just had a blast going through the menu and trying everything was such great presentation service was fantastic. I can’t wait to go again and bring friends
Great ambience and drinks

Farmhouse kitchen used to be good, I think, I seem to remember it being good, but I was much younger then. Here's what I'll say about it now... there are a few really good dishes (exibit A: the samosas -- truly out of this world; last supper before the state murders you level of tasty). But the issue is, there are A LOT of dishes on the menu that are mid (you'll be counting the number of tofu pieces you got and marveling at all the white onion). The price point is outrageous for the quality of the food you're receiving. My advise would be to try the samosas, and then get your grub at a mom and pop thai place closer to you. Don't feed the farmhouse machine.
Good food — Pad Kee Mao and Pad Thai are amazing! Love the mango sticky rice too :)
Order Panang Neua, papaya salad and green curry. Panang Neua is definitely our favorite.
So good. Loved the yellow curry and pad Thai.
Everything we order was delicious! One of my favorite dish here was their crispy calamari. It was perfectly crispy and the sauce was tasty. We also loved the crab fried rice and the Tom Yun soup. One thing I wanted to point out was that they were very accommodating to my allergies.
good and fun
Amazing food and service! We ordered and the food came out so fast! 10/10 recommend.
Food is amazing— crispy branzino 🤤 and the staff is incredible!
The food is so spicy so its impossible to eat. Curry is extremely fat. Tom yum doesn't taste like tom yum at all, just spicy water with tomatoes and huge pieces of onions
Tasty!
I would eat here every day if I lived in San Francisco!
The curry was good it was cool that I got a big coconut thanks
Great vibes and portions!
Delicious food, attentive service, fun atmosphere
Went here for a family Sunday dinner and loved it! Very quick & attentive service. The food was well flavored with generous portions! Would come back again!
Loved being able to watch the Bills game while enjoying my food!
Great food!! And service!
We got the Tom yum soup, fried chicken and herbal rice salad. Good food and quick service!
Thai fried rice was very good.
Pad kee mao is very good! Great level of spice.
Fun atmosphere. Good food. Great quick service. And good with kids.
Pretty good vegan options but not super flexible place
For example their veggie coconut soup has fish sauce in it and they can't remove it
I enjoyed my time
Fun and tasty. Great portions
Very good
Came here because I heard it was great and I'm not at all disappointed 😎
Awesome food and great vibe!!
Great experience overall, a must when visiting San Francisco! Service was great, food was amazing and the atmosphere is very fun, thank you!
Best food I’ve had in a while. The fried branzino was amazing
The best bowl of Noodle I’ve ever had., The meat just fell off the bone. I loved it.! Great service too
My sister and I dined here as a birthday celebration and it was absolutely delicious! The atmosphere was amazing and the staff were incredibly friendly! We confused our reservation locations and they were able to accommodate us which was so kind ! We will definitely be back !!
Staff is so friendly and great food and atmosphere. Very large portions
Service at the bar is quick and friendly. Pad see is delicious, green curry is spicy but good.
Yellow curry is good
this place was AMAZING. had great thai fried rice and a wonderful atmosphere as well as free appetizers and thai shots
Foods are ok, restaurant is clean and nice looking, service is bit cold, not enjoyable, I wish they know how to smile to customers and showing appreciation for such expensive simple foods, yes, the price is high, with most rice noodles, bit chicken and very less beef cost $350 for four people. The warm service would be better ‼️
Didn’t attention online orders and dashers
Will come back again.
Farmhouse Kitchen Thai has a warm, inviting vibe and serves up really tasty Thai food. The dishes are full of flavor, and the staff is friendly. Definitely a great place for a delicious meal!
Caught up with a friend over lunch here at Farmhouse Kitchen as it's one of his favorite spots in the city for Thai (and him being a Thai national, I trusted his judgement).
As a vegan though, there were only a few immediate options and some I thought I could potentially veganize. Having just had Thai recently, I decided to go with their Tofu Noodle Soup since I was also feeling soupy today. I should've stuck with my go-to pad see-ew instead.
I found the broth incredibly bland and the dish overall very mediocre. I loved the giant pieces of fried tofu and veggies, but the overall dish itself really lacked flavor, and I've had incredibly flavorful veggie broth noodle soups at other Asian restaurants in the Bay. When I asked for chili oil, I realized the different sauces they had all contained seafood products rendering them not usable for me to liven up the dish... oh well.
I think they're worth a retry and this time I would stick with their street food classics like Pad Thai and Pad See-Ew, if they're able to veganize it since a lot of their sauces/dishes that normally are vegan by nature contain shellfish in its sauce.
Overall, be careful if you are plant-based and vegan especially.
Great!
Delicious and unique dishes! Large portions left us satisfied and full. Would highly recommend!
Cheats tourists, forced 25% tip and service charge, highly not recommended.
Great food. Kind server! Willing to come again :)
Lightning fast service, the beef roll is very flavourful
Loved it! Highly recommend!
Amazing ambiance, great customer service, and delicious food!
Great taste and atmosphere !!
So good
Confused - hopefully the dine in experience is extraordinarily better than take out.
Farmhouse wings chewy and oily.
Pad “see you” - incredibly oily / added fried egg, only good part lol - white chicken hard and chewy.
Um, not even grimey oily Thai food good on one of those craving days / just sucked
Don’t take out / maybe go in? lol good luck!
Great experience during Holiday time. Cool decor, spirit, tasty food, prompt service.
I loved the atmosphere it was so cute and the food was amazing! The service was friendly and we got our food pretty quick.
Awesome food as always
Great food and service. Fried chicken and pad Thai we're delicious. Family friendly.
Summary: Good atmosphere, suitable for large group gatherings. Average, overpriced food. Decent service once you're seated. If you are looking for a gimmicky fun time, go here.
Food: The stuffed chicken roti appetizer was the only tasty thing on our table, and tom yum soup was just tomato and pepper, devoid of any other flavors. Tofu noodle soup was similarly bland and forgettable, filled with dollops of tough uncooked broccoli stems (not actual broccoli).
Service: We had to wait 30 minutes outside even though we had a reservation, and we weren't the only ones with that predicament. Once seated, however, the service was quick.
Price: for the experience we had, this was a complete rip off. $19 for a tofu soup, and 18.50 for a cocktail. Plus 5% sf mandate, that gets added to the subtotal. $50 per person.
I would not recommend it. There are other much more reasonable and delicious Thai places in the city.
Good Ambiance, nice cocktails and food
Delicious food, spicy! And great atmosphere. Little bit loud could use some buffering.
I came with high expectation because of the score and reviews, and left with disappoints and salty taste in mouth. Foods are pre-cooked, and tastes worse than the average Thai foods. Branzino is very salty, Tom Yum is over sour, and the blue jasmine rice just doesn’t boost appetites. Neua Num Tok Rolls had beef overcooked making it hard to chew. Seafood sizzling was so spicy and the fish was not fresh, so does the fish used in Tom Yum taste very fishy with bad smell. The only dish was good and not tasting like pre-cooked is the Pad Thai You. Overall, it’s too pricy for their dishes, and they charge 5% employee mandate and 20% service fee. The boss must be really happy on making easy money with customers paying for their employees.
Food and service are terrible.
Best Thai food in SF 🥰
Stopped by for lunch on a Sunday whim and was pleasantly surprised with how quickly we were seated. The staff was warm and friendly, especially accommodating to our toddler. Food was delicious and served throughout our dining time was attentive.
Food is bomb. Even though I just came back from Thailand one month ago, it still wowed me
The food was delicious and the service was great and fast. The restaurant is beautifully decorated. 10/10!
Some of the best Thai food I've had outside of Thailand. Calamari was delicious, and the Thai fried rice with prawns was amazing! Can't wait to go back.
Fun atmosphere, good food, attentive staff, especially A and E!
This is my third time eating at Farmhouse Thai. My office also orders from here a lot. I love everything on the menu, especially the Thai cuisine classics.
The only place to get stuffed and get some food too. 🤌🙊
Great food, great ambiance, great staff
Fantastic
Service was great, food was great, ambiance was on point
Had dinner there. Food is just average. Service, interior and decor are about the same. Artificial flowers make it look cheap.
The food was excellent and came out really quickly. The waitress at our table was very attentive and considerate, even noticing that my girlfriend was struggling with the spice and offered milk to help quench the burning feeling.
Don't be like me and let the campy decor write this place off. It's not just another IG worthy spot with disappointing food, although their food is very photogenic. Farmhouse Thai is actually dishing up fresh takes on authentic Thai flavors!
Both appetizers we tried were quite delicious, but I thought the flavors of the wagyu beef skewer make it a must order! The lettuce wrap with toasted coconut and shrimp was recommended by our served and I'm glad we tried it because it was the second most delicious bite in my opinion.
I loved the pork rib panang curry, which was just the right amount of sweet and spicy. The prawn curry was very tasty but verging on inedibly spicy for me (they do warn you adequately so be warned!!). The spice really builds, but it was so delicious I couldn't stop eating it. I ate huge amounts of the butterfly pea rice to cool off my mouth. Even better than rice was the Thai tea, but I think service it what a huge snow cone ball on top made it very difficult to drink.
The restaurant is so authentic that my Thai friend said they were playing the best Thai party music and all the wait staff were speaking Thai to her. The service was very friendly and attentive!
If you have space in your stomach, try the Thai Vacation which is warm sticky rice with ice cream and fresh young coconut meat. It is a great combination of textures and temperatures!
Amazing experience overall was a good spot for vegetarians. Food was super yummy and fresh overall a great experience!
👎👎👎🤢🤢🤢🤢The worst Thai food I ever had!! Really bad service ,the staff there very rude. At first they let you wait outside very long time and ignore you even the restaurant is empty. Also, can you imagine they only let you sit by the stink smell restroom while the rest of restaurant is very empty! that’s so disgusting! Never go this bad place, save your money. Also, The $17 soup without any meat, only have bad and non fresh cabbage there. If you want protein, you need to pay $1 for each shrimp, That’s so robbery haha
AMAZINGGGGGG RESTAURANT!
From the service to the menu. Everything was spectacular. I highly recommend the Branzino dish & the seafood pad Thai! Just go see for yourself!
Very fast service and the beef short rib was amazing. Cool ambiance, worth checking out!
So l I know that Thai food has sugar in it but this place really dumps a ton of sugar in their dishes! As I had my dinner, my dexcom started alerting me to a dangerous blood sugar level and quite honestly the food is too sweet to enjoy. Lastly, the atmosphere and service were pretty dismal. Walking into this place is like walking into a back alley rave and the service just sucked.
Incredible food and hospitality - 10/10
Best and most creative Thai Restaurant I’ve ever been too. There are lots of great Thai restaurants but this one is just a whole level up from the rest. Delicious amazing food, staff are so incredible and nice.
The newest Thai restaurant in Berkeley. Highly recommend the 24 hour beef noodle soup and the curry dishes. The beef shank is extremely easy to eat because it’s so tender and soft. The ox tail special is nice, flavorful and tender too. 🥩🐮🐄

Great dinner spot!
Food was delicious and staff is friendly. Could use a bit more lighting but great experience overall
Food came out fast & tastes great! I do think the Khao Soi at the Jack London Square location is bigger & better tasting but this is still great :) I came in today to try the SpongeBob Krabby, Patty burger and I loved it!
Delicious food and fun atmosphere! Came for the SpongeBob special and stayed for the original drinks ;)
Food is great, staff very friendly. Love the vibes!
Delicious food and great service
The appetizer is okay. However, The Run Juan Seafood Sizzling and the Crab Fried Rice are so much overpriced, with so little crab meat and so little seafood for their price point. Will not visit again!
Amazing food. Might be lil spicy for some.
Excellent Thai fusion food with generous portions.
Coming from LA, was looking for authentic Thai food, and a friend recommended this place. If you are driving, you’d probably find some parking after rolling around for five minutes or less. But if you were Ubering, you’ll get dropped off right outside. We got the fried chicken, yellow curry with pork, and dry noodle soup with beef! Everything came out in 5 minutes which was crazy for the quality of food!! Their chili oil actually has a really strong kick so beware. Great for large parties and lots of drink options. Staff was super kind! Vibe is lively!!!
Food was soo gas and atmosphere is fun. The roti may be the best thing ive ever eaten
Great food!
Good service and good food
Food is great and reasonably priced
Best Thai in SF
Very OG. Very yummy food and huge portions. Happy hour appetizers are just $10.
Our meal here was incredibly mediocre. After hearing and seeing many good reviews, we had high hopes. Those were rapidly dashed as the meal went on.
The Thai iced tea came with a ball of snow-cone like ice on top—my paper straw could barely pierce it. As time went on, the tea was absorbed into the ice, meaning that you had to eat the ice to get all the tea, which was then watered down.
My partner had the alcoholic version, which tasted much more of rum and coconut than Thai tea.
The chicken pad tai had tofu in it—we weren’t sure if that was a cost cutting measure or a mistake in the kitchen. For its part, the tofu had no flavor, but neither did the rest of the dish. It was room temperature upon delivery.
We also had the crab friend rice. Shrimp came atop the ~crab~ fried rice, which again causes us to question whether this is a cost-cutting measure. For a $40+ dish, I expect a flavorful and crabby meal. The dish we had lacked both of those things.
The servers were very attentive, almost to a fault. We were asked if we were ready to order 5 times (literally) in 5 minutes by 3 different servers. They were friendly though.
All-in-all, we walked away thoroughly dissatisfied.
Very very bland fried rice. Uncle Roger will cry.
