I decided to give this place a try. When I first walked in, there were about three different people working & all three were so kind. I spoke with (who I think is the manager) Alex. He was very personable. & the woman who waited on me was just as personable, she showed me what she used to make her yellow curry. The service was amazing.

The food was also really good. I often have a hard time finding yellow curry that actually has some spice to it. I ordered the coconut shrimp, fresh spring rolls & yellow curry. All three were delicious. The curry was so flavorful & spicy. My eyes were definitely bigger than my stomach. I had leftovers, the portions were big so you get your moneys worth. 10/10. I’ll definitely be eating this place again☺️

When I get there, grandma tells me to wait 5 min because they’re just about to fry it and she didn’t want it to be soggy when I arrived there. Then it turned into 12min. These shrimps looks like they rolled in some coconut shred and over fried. And this was $10. People preparing meals weren’t wearing gloves nor tying their hair. Not coming back here.

I was in the area and found Mimi’s based on her stellar reviews. This is a small establishment but big on flavor and heart. We had Thai iced teas, a pot of bubbling Tom Kha coconut soup with chicken, Mimi’s famous Pad Thai and her made from scratch Green Curry. Everything was delicious, comforting and plentiful.

Mimi personally checked on our table to make sure everything was ok and to our liking. We learned that she uses her mother’s recipes, grows some of her ingredients from her own garden and has a strong passion for making food that nourishes and heals, using aromatics herbs, roots and spices. She won over both our stomachs and hearts and we definitely plan on becoming regulars.

I tried not to give a bad review for this place since I have encountered the people that worked here in person before and they were nice and apologetic for giving me a wrong order! I ordered here before and instead of giving me curry and gave me fried rice. I had to drive back to get the curry. The people sincerely apologizes and so that made me feel better and let it go.

BUT Today! I placed an order and my card got charged. I sent my husband to pickup our order just to find out the restaurant is close! Waited for the restaurant to accept the order, my card got charge, waited for 25 mins to get it ready and just to get there and the restaurant is close!
I'm super mad today. Not only they wasted our gas and time and not answering their phone but also made me HANGRY.
I won't be giving this restaurant a 3rd chance anymore! Will never order here again!

My partner and I were craving some Thai food and decided to try here. They were honestly one of the best Thai food places we have ever had! Support your local small business and seriously go here!!!

Place is small, quiet and clean. Parking is on street, sometimes not available. I only go there during day time, questionable neighborhood. Pad thai and curry are my favorite. Spicy noodles are a big mush when you get it to go.

UPDATE. Under new management. Food is even better now. Owner cooks with fresh ingredients, had pad Thai, and has a different flavor now. Better flavor. I also had the yellow curry, it was very creamy citrusy. Inside restaurant is brighter and less clutter on the walls. Sitting area is arranged different, with a few chair looking out the front glass window. I take back my comment about the mushy spicy noodles since I have not had them yet to go.

Randomly picked this place for dinner for dining in for a family of 7 (3 kids) . We were greeted and quickly seated. The staff was extremely attentive and all of our food was fresh HOT, delicious, and fullfilling. Everyone left happy and satisfied. The staff was so kind and happy to serve us. Rarely are you greeted so well while dining out.

I had the mama Mimi's special curry with beef and pumpkin. It was superb! I asked for a 5 on the spicy level, which is rated 1 through 10, and a decent amount of spiciness. My coworker ordered the drunken noodles lunch special. She loved it. As an appetizer she had the shrimp spring rolls. I wish I took her on when she offered it because it looked so fresh and tasty. She loved it. The owner Miami stopped by our table and she was so sincere. The prices are very reasonable for fresh honestly food. I recommend this eatery highly. We will go back for sure.

The food is like what you'd get it in Thailand except that it's a bigger portion lol. I loved their pad thai and pad see eew. Their som tum is so refreshing, light and flavorful. My brother absolutely loved their thai sausage fried rice. And my brothers were surprised that their crab fried rice is with real crab and not the imitation!

The family is so kind. I ate a lot of kanom krok in thailand. So I curiously asked them how come we don't have that in SD. Surpsingly, the owners offered to make it for me! Eating it felt like I was in heaven again.

I'm always grateful of the thai kindness and hospitality.

Wow this place was delicious. We got the Pad Prik Kang which we’ve never had before. It had a very rich chili curry flavor with basil and crispy green beans. Yum! Also got Pad Thai which is one of my go-tos. This one was one of my favorite I’ve had in San Diego. We got spice level 4 for each and it was perfect amount of spice for us. Lastly, we got the garlic wings which were very crispy and came with a delicious sweet and sour sauce. Overall everything exceeded our expectations. We are definitely coming back.

We use to love this place. The food was amazing, the portions were big and the prices were affordable. We just ordered some food and they had raised their prices by $3-4 a dish. We get it inflation.
But we ordered dinner portions. The food portions were so small! I think they gave us lunch portions which sucks bc dinner is an extra $4-5 a meal.
I'm pretty disappointed.
Also they seen to have changed their name so this maybe new owners. The online menu is different and it no longer gives you a spice option.

This place is a gem! I try to come every time I can. The place is very chill and clean. They usually have music playing, but comfortable enough to have a conversation over lunch/dinner. I have tried their yellow curry, pad thai, egg rolls, and garlic edamame. Everything is delicious, homey and made at request, which is one of the things I love about this place! The serving sizes are real good too and the staff is friendly and attentive.

The neighborhood is a commercial and residential area, so there is foot and vehicle traffic all the time, is also well lit and there's also other businesses around.

We order spicy level 2 and it was just rhe right amount of heat. I'm pretty sure we couldn't handle a 3, however! The neighborhood can be a little sketchy. But the restaurant is small and the lady working was so nice. I was surprised they had a lunch menu on the weekend. I got the chicken pad Thai and the spice level of 5 out of 10 was perfect for me. The kiddo go the chicken panang curry level 3. It started out great for him, but the spice level went from a 3 to a 6. Would definitely come back, might not eat in the restaurant because of the crazy outside.

To be clear i really like this place and want it to stay in the neighborhood. However this place now compared to 2020-2021 are very different. The food used to be so flavorful and bright, really fresh veg and great sauces.

The last few times i have gone here however, i have been disappointed.

The Crispy Pork and Broccoli is my favorite and it just doesn't hit like it used to. The meat is tough and chewy and the veg is soggy and sad looking. Even the Dumpling Soup was AMAZING. But now its bland and the dumplings are all stuck together and very light on filling.

Not sure if its different staff, bad management, or lazy practices but I really hope this place can increase the quality of some of the food. Granted I only stick with a few things here but those few things have all gone down in quality. I hope the best for this place because its perfect for the neighborhood.

The manager of this place should consider providing better training for their employees, especially in handling pickup deliveries. I waited for 20 minutes without being acknowledged or offered assistance and 30 minutes of delay on the pickup time for my order. The customer before me had to raise their voice to get attention, which made me hesitant to do the same. The blonde server saw me there but decided just to ignore me, the only way I could have her attention was if I had screamed too, but I just couldn’t do that. Eventually, I had to contact Grubhub customer service to make them call them to know what was wrong with my order, then she decided to give me attention, and asked me “who I was waiting for”. After I said the name, she turned and didn’t give any information of how long will it take, I had to ask again after few minutes not knowing when I would leave that place, and I was already super late for my school, which I missed half of my class because of this. It's clear that there is a need for improved customer service and respect for peoples time. My experience with ordering food for pickup was disappointing. This raises concerns about how they might treat delivery drivers as well. Lame.

10/10 food every time, best prices, my favorite place for curry. I recommend the pineapple curry or pad see ew or the coconut soup. It is also conveniently located next to two liquor stores, and has plenty of parking in the lot in front of the restaurant. Love TukTuk

This is a very casual hole-in-the-wall which mostly seems to serve take-out or delivery. If you’re looking for “an experience” at a Thai food restaurant with tastes that will amaze your palate, you will not get that here. But if you are looking for some pretty good food that is affordable on a weekday when you don’t feel like cooking, then this is the place for you.

Their Tam Kha soup is very flavorful, and their green and mango curry is delicious. Their noodles can be hit and miss, but for the most part they are also appetizing.

Make sure you call before you order online. Sometimes they close before their stated closing time or sometimes they open much later then their stated open time.

We ordered half the menu and loved everything. We'll be regulars from now on!

I won't be going back again. I've been going for years and today I went and they charged me a bunch of money. Of course I asked what happened and he said we changed the pricing. I asked when as I was just in 3 weeks ago. For the pricing now the food is not worth it to me.

These reviews are CAP. The food here does not deserve a 4.5 rating. I truly believe people in San Diego can't be trusted. Y'all have terrible taste buds. I have had Thai food from many different places. I even had a type of food in Thailand. I'll order chicken fried rice and the chicken was boiled with no seasoning. They didn't even separately. Cook the chicken on the griddle and add it into the rice afterwards.

This is a hole in the wall spot. Very hidden but don't let it's outside appearance fool you. The food is very delicious. Service is also great and staff is very friendly. I used to be 5 stars but they're now skimping on their protein. My favorite salmon rice this visit was missing a the essential ingredient...the SALMON. Please don't skimp on the quality of your food. The flavor is A1!

Yuck yuck. I want to love this place because it's close to my house but the two dishes we got (Drunken Noodles and Pad Thai) were awful. Smelled like vinegar, just a mush of noodles; I was very hungry and couldn't eat either dish.

Ordered takeout and will definitely return. Order was correct and hot when I picked it up. Fresh rolls are lettuce heavy, which I personally enjoyed. Drunken noodles with tofu and vegetables was spicy and perfectly seasoned.

The biggest hole in the wall for Thai food. Everything I have ordered has come nice and hot. I actually stopped going to this other Thai restaurant because I feel like this spot is way better plus it's not crowded and I can order online. This restaurant is worth a try. The calamari taste really good. Some of the photos I took were under an LED light so the color is a little off.

This place has the most amazing Thai food I've had in San Diego! DO NOT skip their pad thai! The portions are good and I can get both non-spicy and spicy food for me and my partner that is bomb! The thai tea is sooo good and not too sweet. I like the rolls and curry too. So good!

Cute “hole in the wall” type of place (so I knew it would be good). I got takeout tofu pad Thai and veggie egg rolls. Both were delicious, and pad Thai was some of the best I’ve had here in San Diego - not too dry like a lot of places.

I've been here several times now and absolutely love the food here. I'm a spicy-freak so I always get extra spicy, my roomie enjoys it a little more...normal spice lol. I've had the Drunken Noodles which was perfect, the Red Curry is delicious (especially the eggplant, perfectly cooked imo) and the Tom Kha soup which is probably the best I've ever had the flavor is miles above any others I've had. I've only ever ordered online and picked up but the cashier is always friendly and the order is always just as I ordered it. Price is excellent for the quality.

This is my favorite Thai place around the College area. Easy to order through Door Dash, or over the phone. The menu is diverse and everything has incredible flavor! The Red Pineapple curry is one of my favorites. The Chicken egg rolls are really tasty with the orange sauce. The vegetable soup is light and flavorful. Service is always prompt. Order is always accurate. Food is hot and fresh. Highly recommend and a favorite <3

The owner is friendly and polite, the food was delicious! I recommend the rare steak pho, the beef-knuckle broth tastes like it's been steeping for hours! A wonderful experience all around.

Ordered for delivery. It arrived hot. The chicken egg rolls and ragoons were good. The pad thai I got was a 4 level spice. Was almost to spicy. Tasted good, but about an hour after eating part of it I felt like it made me really sick. Took a few hours to feel better again.

Wow! This little place has some of the best Pad Thai I've ever eaten! It had the perfect stickiness and sauciness consistency and the shrimp were delicious. Could've been spicier but I don't mind specifying that I want it spicy next time, I didn't say anything about heat on this occasion. Staff was very friendly and I was given a lot of food to-go for under $10. Will definitely be back when I'm in the area!

Yummy thai food. I introduced my dad who is 82 to coconut curry shrimp for the first time. He didn't like the bamboo shoots but loved everything else!!

BEST THAI FOOD WE HAVE EVER HAD! We got the Thai Sausage Fried Rice, the crispy dumplings, crispy chicken egg rolls and garlic wings. The rice was awesome!! They actually let you choose the spice levels from 1-10! We compromised because I'm not a big spice person. We chose 2 and for me you could definitely taste the spice, but it wasn't too hot. My husband loved it and said he would up the level on his order the next time, since he's a spice head. Lol. We were both so surprised and thrilled to see that we even had the option! The dumplings were a dryer version of a potsticker, very tasty! The egg rolls were very light and crispy, very yummy! The garlic wings were spiced just right and were not overwhelmed with garlic. The prices were a little high but they are worth it for the quality of food you receive. We will definitely be eating here again and be recommending it to everyone we know!

Really great Thai food. A hidden gem in this area... I went there recently and a very drunk homeless man came in and insisted he paid for food he hadn't. Instead of hollering at him and threatening him, beautiful young dude in the superman t shirt went and fixed him some food,even asking him at the end, if he wanted sauce. They treated him with dignity. It was an astonishingly humble display of goodness. Eat here y'all...the food is as amazing as the staff...I've never seen such a potentially awkward situation handled so brilliantly and compassionately...

I love small family owned Thai food! Being Thai and new to San Diego, I DEFINITELY think I found my spot. Greeted by nice ladies who also cooked the food, which was spicy and delicious. Good prices for the portion size and quality. They are all very friendly there and the food is legit!

Great food and if they're close enough theyll deliver. The curry can be a little on the spicy side so just be sure to let them know if you cant do spicy.

Best sticky rice ever!

Called in. Phone service from the time they took order was very good. She was straight to the point and apologized for the delay. Delivery took a little over an hour but when it arrived, it was got, great, and they gave us 2 dree desserts and 1 appetizer. It compensated for 2 of the Thai tea not having bobba. Overall great food and great customer service!!!

Ordered via Eat24 all the time, they aren't offered on there anymore so we order directly. Mango chicken is pretty tasty. Nice staff.
