The food here is super legit! High quality Thai food that tatses like home cooking. They even have some dishes not many other Thai restaurants typically offer in SD and I recommend trying various dishes you may have not tried before.

i knew we were in for a flavor explosion when the shrimp paste came out with the veggies for the pho. the lao pho is savory, sweet and addicting all at once. slurped down all the broth and was not hella thirsty like at other pho places which use hella msg. the lao sausages are herby and juicy however it doesn’t include sticky rice. the thai boat noodles were perfectly balanced and did not have the overly star anise flavor. will need to return to try their nam khao and all the other noodles!

I HIGHLY recommend the 🦀 Crab Fried Rice w/ extra crab. It's soooo good. I also enjoyed the seafood salad, sesame cookies and fresh squeezed sugar cane juice. So refreshing.

Ordered a papaya salad thru Uber eats and the 4 papaya on it were not cooked all the way making the entire dish inedible :(

Pad Thai chicken had a weird flavor. Pad see ew was blank and the vegetables were overcooked in it. Drunken noodles was also bland and even tho ordered it “extra spicy” (the hottest offered) it was more like a 1 or 2 star.

Will not be returning, due to food safety issues and lack of flavor.

This place was formerly So Saep and now under new name and ownership. Max occupancy for this place is 18.

It was the Lao Pho that caught our eye since the other known place that we know serve this dish is in OC.

We got Lao pho, Crab fried rice, Fried chicken wing, Chicken satay and Panang curry.

For drinks we got Thai tea which was sweeter than my liking. The cococane was refreshing and naturally sweet. Fresh sugar cane with real slices of coconut.

We came during lunch and the service was super quick and everything tasted delicious. In and out within one hour.

The chicken satay is on the dry side but dipping in the peanut sauce made it better. The curry was a level 6 spice but it was not spicy and my tolerance is low. My new favorite place for crab friend rice. Lao pho tasted like viet pho and even better than some viet pho places.

Overall, we will for sure come back for the other dishes.

Wanted to try the place that took over So saap and Im so glad I did! This is a convenient location for me right off the freeway when I need my lao food fix. Today I ordered the supreme papaya salad which comes with vermicelli noodles. I also ordered nam khao, pad Thai, and khao piak sen. Everything was good and I can’t wait to come back and try other dishes. I ordered online and it texted me to let me know my food was ready. (Appreciated that as I hate going in just to wait)
Staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. I believe they’re in their soft opening phase but please give them a try if you get a chance!

Best Thai food I’ve had! Pad Thai was perfection. Crispy pork was very tasty and tom ka soup perfect taste. Owner was very nice and kind. Definitely one of the best Thai restaurant I’ve ever had!

this place is an unexpected gem. A bit small, but the food is delicious. Normal lao offerings done exceptionally, kind staff, prices are lower than most restaurants while the quality of the food beats them all. 5 stars only praises

I found this place by chance on my GPS and decided to stop by on my lunch break and give it a try. The food was very authentic and amazing.

Our go to spot. So good, the mango sticky rice is delicious (bit bigger potion of sticky rice would be amazing, it's my fave) and so are the noodles. Drinks are also very good. The cashier is friendly and always answers our questions. 10/10 !

Great little hole in the wall location. Went there for lunch takeout. Many dishes on the menu can be made vegan. Good portions for the prices. Service was great.

You absolutely HAVE TO come visit Mama Air and her son Kin Saep! My husband and I started with the coco- sugar cane drink and it was fantastically refreshing! Such a simple drink but it was amazing. We should have known after the first sip that this place was going to be special. My ordered the Seafood Pad Thai, Pork Belly Salad and the Fried Tofu.

After my first bite of the Pad Thai, I knew immediately. Somebody’s mother was back there cooking up this masterpiece. I can’t stress this enough, come eat here. I asked to speak to mama Air and she is the sweetest woman with a true gift for cooking love into each dish!

I got the Thai Boat Noodle when I say delicious, I mean it. I could have eaten just the broth by itself. This was my first time going there and it won’t be my last, they’re so much more I need to try.

Great service, not the best looking location, but some pretty darn good food! I’m petty picky about my pad Thai and they made it just right. Location isn’t the best looking but that’s not what we fatties are here for right!!!? Highly recommend :)

I ordered uber eats from here, for dinner. The food was alright. The sausages were flavorful and not too fatty. The wings were a little too salty and dry without the sauce. Their crispy pork belly was disappointing. It was too chewy! The medium spicy laab was a little too sweet. Portions were enough to share between two people. I did not like their jeow som and the other one for the pork belly. It was too salty or too bland.

Crispy Chicken Basil is ultra satisfying to my tastebuds! Mango rice was great dessert!

Often are best nuggets are in our own backyards. I just found this Thai restaurant on 47th St. and market and it was amazing. I had Pho with brisket, tripe, cracklings and all sorts of good stuff. I’ll Certainly be back.

I love their food and sugar cane juice. They were fresh and tasty. The staff (maybe owner) was very nice. They seemed to have more to go orders than sit in customers. Inside of the restaurant is pretty clean more like a dinner feeling. Will definitely recommend this place and come back again!

I’ve had a lot of pho in my life, and the Lao Pho has to be one of the best I’ve ever had. It’s labeled as “24 hour broth” and it definitely tasted like it. My family took up the whole restaurant and we all were very pleased and full afterwards. Service was great, our waitress was very patient with us and super sweet.

Great seasoning, flavors, portions and prices, all around would definitely come back again.

I ordered the Thai papaya salad and chicken pad Thai! It was the best papaya salad I had in SD thus far. They nailed the flavoring for the salad down! The pad Thai noodle were cooked just right! You should check this place out if you in the mood for Thai!

My lady and I had an amazing experience here. We drove from Palm Springs and needed out Lao food fix. Exceeded beyond our expectations. Everything we ordered was amazing. We got the supreme papaya salad, shrimp spring roll, pork neck, crying tiger, and few other things. Very rare you go to a restaurant and literally everything is at minimum a 9/10. Only thing is wished our papaya salad had the whole crabs in it rather than mixed in. The owner was an extremely friendly and gave great recommendations and was cool guy to talk to. Next time we are in the area it’s mandatory for us to come back and support and try some new stuff. 10/10 food quality and service must try.

I have been to several Thai food places and the food here was very good.

Tonight was my first time trying this place. Ordered through DoorDash. I got the tofu spring rolls, veggie egg rolls, khao piek, and pad se ew. All of these items were sooooo good and arrived in perfect condition. I’m definitely going to be visiting in person. Awesome food with a great depth of flavors. Definitely a lesser known treasure.

This place took over one of our favorite local Thai/Lao restaurants, So Saap. It's a nice convenient location for us, so we decided to give Kin Saep a try due to all of the fantastic reviews we saw. This place did not disappoint! The food was incredible and so was the service! They are thoughtful of how they prepare the food for you and also ask questions to ensure it fits your pallette or dietary needs. We will definitely continue to come here whenever we having a craving for great street food! Thank you!

This has to be one of my most favorite places to eat that’s is around my neighborhood. The food was a solid 10/10, the customer service and staff were both very amazing. The atmosphere and dine in options are both very nice and welcoming, if you are around the neighborhood I suggest trying Kin Saep.

Crispy mango shrimp and spicy basil fried rice was our absolute favorite! With everything we ordered we loved each and every item! You can tell a TON of love was put into making the food! Definitely give them a 10/10 with food, service, and overall experience!
