I love the appetizers. They were crunchy outside n soft inside. The stir fry rice was very tasty!! Now i got the spicy chicken noodles..um i wish bell peppers were cut a bit smaller n well cooked, needs a bit more flavor n chicken...(small serving)... that idk.. but it will be great a little more for the price..

It's my first time to dine in here, and oh my God, they got the best pad thai in town!! Been to a lot of Thai restos here in Sandiego and by far, this is the best!! There's a lot of foods to choose from too from their menu. And I bet, they are all great as well! Will try their pineapple fried rice next time, their spicy roasted eggplant and curry!! The staff are all so nice and accommodating, too!!🤍

Great surprise!!! Went here randomly. Food was great. Medium spice level let you know it was spicy but didn’t keep hitting. Staff were incredible!!! Will return to try more dishes soon!!!

We have been sick, it’s my birthday, it’s gloomy outside - what a sad day. We decided to finally try this place as I love Thai food so much but am picky, especially when it comes to my Panang. Well, let me tell you, with each bite, the day got brighter and brighter! It was amazing! You could taste the coconut in the panang and my son (a child) ate almost all his pad Thai with glass noodles, which is a compliment to the chef! We will definitely return to enjoy this delicious, fresh, and generously sized food! Thank you for making my day brighter, Di Chan!

Super delicious local Thai restaurant, the food was phenomenal, but the spice is light, so don't be shy about cranking the number up if you like it hot! Really friendly, easy to find, tons of parking, decent dining room. You gotta order at the front though, so go in, order, sit back, enjoy!!!

Long wait for doordash pickup. Owner completely ignored me in front of other customers when I politely asked again.

Barely any meat in any of the dishes, ordered sweet and sour with chicken and it was literally 3 pieces of shredded chicken and thats it. And the beef salad was 90% onions and juice. Never coming back.

The food was good, some better than others. Crispy stuffed chicken wings were good but not great. Satay chicken was tough but still decent. Thing is we ordered out so everything had been boxed & likely that changed the texture of the food, meaning it partially steamed inside the containers. Chicken larp was excellent & so was papaya salad, actually better 2nd day. Mee Krob was why we chose this place to begin with & was very good too. Loved their Thai tea & definitely will be going back again.

I asked for very mild pannang and it was SPICEY! I had to ask for a plate, chopsticks soy and napkins. I counted 7 pieces of chicken. Full of chili I wanted to throw up! I asked for mild! Almost $3 for a scoop of rice???? It was watery and I got 4 each of green pepper and red pepper slices. Watery, nobody at the host/hostess station and I can make better Thai curry. Hire me, ill teach you.

Staying nearby I decided to try the closest highly rated Thai Restaurant. My normal order consists of Pad Thai, Pad See Ewe, and Yellow Curry.
ALL 3 WERE ON POINT! Very delicious food all the noodles were well seasoned(sign of a well seasoned wok).
The potatoes in the curry were cooked all the way. I hate getting them half cooked.
The chicken in the Pad Thai was crispy on the outside but succulent on the inside.
The portions of veggies to noodles and meet was not over powering. Idk about you but I hate getting a dish where it appears to be a veggie dish with a side of noodles & meat.

I'm very picky about my Thai food and I will be coming back to Di-Chan.

I got the eggplant which had good flavor but who charges $1.25 for rice? It doesn't include rice at all. Rice should NOT cost that much. Literally every other place includes it in the meal. The entree is already $10. Very disappointed.

The spring rolls are open ended on both sides. How are you supposed to eat that without falling apart? Also the wrapper was kinda dry and chewy and was filled mostly with iceberg. The shrimp in the fried rice still had the tails on, which doesn't make sense when it's mixed into the dish. Maybe if it was on top of the rice.

It is very expensive for such a small amount of soup but it tasted very good, the problem is i ordered sweet and sour fish, and it was expensive so i thought it was going to be catfish, or alaskan pollock, but it was simply tilapia, the cheapest fish, and it wasn't cut up in pieces they just gave me a whole tilapia with sauce which my daughter is allergic to, if your gonna sell something you should specify what it is and give it the right price

The spicy basil noodle was incredible! I went back the next day and tried something different.

The food I got was totally diffrent from what I ordered ,and they were not even friendly in tryin to correct my order.Not happy with service and don't reccomend eatin here.

First time... Food was good, not esthetically pleasing like I'm use to with Thai but flavorful. Not the best value prices are a bit hi for the amount of food. It's the pandemic so the food was to go so not review of the inside, Service was not so good - young girl who could care less about being there with one word answers... so all in all disappointing and could not recommend. You may do better.

Good, really well balance flavors. Enjoyed every dish we had. We will be returning for our Thai food needs... which I say because sometimes I just need Thai food.

Good selection of typical dishes you find at Thai restaurant. Had the pad see ew which was very tasty. The ginger salmon was a special and the sauce was delish but the salmon could have been fresher. I would probably stick with a curry next time. Service was friendly. Took a litlle longer than expected for food to arrive. They don't have Pra Ram (or rama - broccoli with peanut sauce in case you are hoping for that)

Wonderful little place in the Clairemont area. Always greeted with kindness from the women who own and run the restaurant. Very kid friendly and the food is fantastic!

Some of the best Thai food in the area. Good selection, with pretty substantial portions for the dinner; and a really nice lunch menu as well. Really fast service, too. My favorite dish is the yellow curry, but every dish I've had has been really delicious.

I wish I went a little less spicy on the pad see we because it had such good flavor I think I allowed myself to go with my normal spicy everything that I robbed myself of the taste of it. It was so good. The woman at the counter was so friendly and I really appreciate that. Those little half moons, whatever they are, were as equally delicious. I will have to eat in next time so I can try their soup. Oh, and they are earth friendly and I have some nice reusable containers!

Visited this place after a long break. Not crouded and the service was fast. Tried basil fried rice and it was good.

As someone who works in the restaurant industry, I hate to do this but I think it needs to be said. I ordered from here via postmates. I'm partially at fault for not reading the description more thoroughly. But I've never eaten at a thai place that charges extra for white rice with their entrees! Who does that?! Also, the portion size was TINY! As someone who is familiar with food cost percentage, I know the ingredients they're using are not expensive. Especially not rice. This place will not be a place I eat at again. The flavors are all there but not worth the portion size and lack of rice.

The BEST green curry. I get it with fried tofu and mixed veggies. Has a great variety of veggies. And you get the little mini empanada with it + rice. Great value and best green curry I've had around here. Consistent too -- I've ordered it at least 10 times and its been spot on every time.

I get the Thai fried rice spicy with chicken. Ever since my friend first brought me here a few years ago, I've been hooked on this place. I love the food here. I brought my daughter & mom here & now they're hooked on this place. They love it too. My daughter brought her friend & now she loves this place. Great food & great customer service. The noodles are also very good. I recommend this place to everyone.

Sauce was watered down. Charged me a 2nd time to get the sauce I had originally requested on the side. Lots of extra charges. Wasn't happy w meal & didn't feel it was important to them that I was. Disappointing.

Good Thai food with great service. They could work on the atmosphere in the restaurant a bit by ensuring that they don't use the dining area as food/supply storage. I got the spicy roasted eggplant with chicken and shrimp. It was delicious, but takes a bit longer to prepare so if you want it, order it as soon as possible.

Excellent food and large portions. Reasonable prices too. Try the Mee Krob appetizer--have only found this in a few Thai restaurants, and they do a great job with it here.

It is a place that I recommend to anyone that loves Thai food. I love pineapple fried rice, green curry with beef, naam-soht, wonton soup Thai style, eggplant basil, sticky rice with mango.

My larb gai was soggy and not a 5 level spice level while my papaya salad was dry and spicy and both were half filled with wilted cabbage. No sticky rice available either unless you order it as dessert.

I LOVE THAI FOOD! This is my favorite place to go to. I go there 4 times a week. Sometimes even 5. There service is excellent. I always recommend this place to friends and family and to anyone who loves thai food. There food is amazing, out of this world, exquisite. This is my go to restaurant. So far everything I've eaten there has been much better than anywhere I've eaten before! I recommend their Pad See Ew, Pad Thai, Pineapple Fried Rice, Spicy Basil Fried Rice, and Cashew Nut. They also have this very delicious dessert thats homemade called coconut ice-cream. The best thing is, is that you can pick whatever level of spiciness you desire.

Di-Chan has the best Thai food I have ever eaten. My wife and I frequently drive down, about once every two weeks from Carlsbad to eat there. You can get your food to go, but there's nothing like fresh Thai food from Di-Chan. Our favorite is the Spicy Basil Noodles and Spicy Basil Rice.. Once you have that you'll order it every time!
