We serve variety of Thai food. All dishes use quality products and fresh every day.
Ordered takeout from Corner Thai Kitchen and loved it! We had the crab fried rice with the pad see ew with mock duck and it was perfect. Nice portion sizes that are sure to leave you stuffed. The staff was very friendly and didn’t need to wait long for my order. They have an outdoor patio as well that is dog friendly. Recommend if you’re looking for some great Thai food!
I came here for lunch. I had the drunken noodle with chicken and fresh spring rolls with peanut sauce. The drunken noodle was really flavorful and fresh. The fresh spring rolls with the peanut sauce was a really nice touch. The peanut sauce is one of the best I've ever had. The waiter was really nice and on top of what we needed. The inside is really clean and the seating is just right. I would highly recommend you come check this place out. I will be back again thank you for taking care of me
This is a great place to grab a quick and tasty dinner. Did I mention they are quick too. (Oops, I Spoke too soon, Edited after 4th visit , this time was a super long wait for anything. Took 20 min just to get water, coming in at 7pm on a Wednesday, another 10 min for other drinks and 5 more min to take our order. They took a few to-go orders at the register from people walking in after we were seated, before taking our order so I subtracted 2 stars. Not cool. )
Original review:
The staff are super pleasant and accommodating, even though they got my Togo order a bit wrong (lost a star 🌟), it was still worth it and close enough. Their menu has a good variety so I try different things when I return. Try the mango sticky rice if you enjoy sweets. I love it. I didn't take pictures of my food this time but I ordered mango fried rice with chicken, but got mango chicken stir fry with a lot of bell peppers and white steamed rice. Oh well. I'll look next time before heading out. Try them out. I hope you'll like this place. I do.
Corner Thai took over the previous Thai establishment and I actually like this place better. Their menu is huge! Mainly Thai dishes with a mix of Lao, Vietnamese and Chinese dishes. We came for dinner and a few days later came for lunch during 11-3pm. They also have happy hour from 3:30-6. Has patio seating and 6 tables inside.
We’ve ordered:
-curry puffs
-mixed tempura
-orange chicken
-pad Thai (spice level 5)
-crab fried rice (spice level 7)
-Panang curry
-garlic wings
-beef pad see ew lunch (spice level 7)
-combo drunken noodles lunch (level 7)
Pad Thai and crab fried rice are always our go to when it’s our first time dining. Both dishes had great flavors but too wet, almost soggy. Great crab portions. We took it home and dried it out a bit and it tasted excellent.
The lunch special came with a side of soup of the day, salad, egg roll and cream cheese wonton. Great portions.
Overall, Corner Thai was decent except the wings had a smell to it like freezer burn fried in oil. The flavor and texture also lacking.
Spice level 7 seems to be the right mark for me giving that kick at the end where you could still taste the flavors.
This place has the best pad Thai! The food was flavorful, good portions, reasonably priced, and had authentic taste. The service was top notch. The place was clean and comfortable
This is my new go to place for Thai food. Definitely save room for the mango sticky rice dessert. I can’t wait to go back abs try more of their menu
The food is good, the service is terrible. I ordered today and the lady was extremely rude. I’ve been to Thai food before and it’s pretty authentic, but it was missing something. I ordered drunken noodles and something was really sour. The wontons were good, but it’s hard to mess those up because it’s just cream cheese and Batter pretty much.
As far as the service, I would not recommend whoever worked with me today. She was extremely rude and snooty and gave me attitude because I wanted to pay cash instead of card. I hope you never have to pay cash when you come in here so you don’t get the same treatment. Two lady that work today, try to treat people nicer.
Lastly, I do feel the prices were a bit high for the food and the flavor that I received. Not really impressed with the location or the decorations, it’s a bit much and they should dial it down. Parking in the shopping center is not very fun if you’re going at lunch or dinner time. Overall, I give this a three star rating and I think that’s being generous for one extra star, considering the food had a very bitter sour taste to it and drunken noodles does not taste like that. Thankfully, the wonton saved it. Next Door, there’s a pizza place in a Greek place, I recommend expanding your horizon Instead of feeling regret for ordering sour noodles.

crawling with worm like parasites . better off in a trash can . literally where do they get the parasites? they think no one knows
--- also they put a toxic chemical like draino in the food if you eat here see a doctor
It’s a good neighborhood Thai place. We regularly get takeout and enjoy the food. I like the pad see ew and the mango fried rice a lot, along with the soups.
We found a hair in chicken fried rice ordered for the kid. Happens. We mentioned it to the staff. She said she will get us another 1, took plate away and returned with a plate of tofu spring rolls as an apology! We dont even eat tofu!! We asked her please get us the rice u promised the kids haven't eaten, she was shocked and got just little of it. Very disgusting. We never said we wont pay. Disgusting behavior.
If you are closed you should turn the light off instead of being rude. I offered to just not order and leave. She said no its okay and continued to have a nasty attitude. Never coming back again.
A cute spot in Mission Gorge area. The workers were VERY kind and patient with our family. The food was very tastey as well! 10/10 food 🤤
This is difficult for me to leave a bad review, but this was some of the worst food I have ever received. The egg drop soup had a strange sweet taste to it with a small amount of egg shells and then my first bite of drunken noodles ha a large piece of egg shell in it. The flavor of the noodles was just ok, and had very minimal chicken in it. The restaurant also wanted to charge $2 for peanut sauce while their sign said it was free for the first one. I picked this restaurant because of the high ratings, but I feel like it is quite misleading.
Dropped in for take out. My food was ready in about 5 minutes.
I’ve been here over 100 times ! Don’t get me wrong the food is good well I only eat fried rice although this one is my favorite so far .
Stove never reviewed bad or good because it’s my go to ether way . The food is fresh sometimes it taste like way it should sometimes it doesn’t . Ether way this has to be the rudest restaurant I have ever ate at and I eat out everyday !! They started w: a forceful 18% tip mandate service then for some reason it was removed . Mind you it’s not a large restaurant. It’s a restaurant with a seating of about 15 people and service is regular service order your food you get it and then you’re checked out. Sometimes I tip because the service was great and the food was as expected. Sometimes I prefer not to because it would have been the same as takeout or maybe I didn’t receive the service. Either way I have never been chased down for a tip. this is the third time this restaurant has did this although when they are tipped they do not say thank you they are always tipped over $10, this pass day the lady continues to come outside to ask for a tip. It’s kind of embarrassing not only discrimination. I will no longer be eating in here. It’s just a couple of Thai cultured people who have Mexican cooking in the back and are making money off of the area.

So I brought my mom here for dinner and pam the waitress was the worst waitress I've ever experienced at a Restaurant in San Diego.
Don't go here , trust me.
Good amount of foods are serving and delicious meals. We ordered the fried rices and Tom yum soup were delicious. We will come back again when visit SD.
Our favorite place to get Thai food in San Diego. They do an amazing Khao Soi, crab fried rice, and drinken noodle—all of which was authentic and flavorful!! Even the Thai tea was made to perfection.
My husband and I have been pretty picky with our Thai food, and we’ve been going to convoy for it in the past, but this will be our new go-to spot.
I always get the Yellow chicken curry! Some of the best in town. Highly recommend! Staff is friendly. I’ve eaten here 40 times.
I heard you charged someone $1.00 for ice? Why charge a customer $1.00 for ice? Won't come here anymore
The Kapow Kai Dow was pretty disappointing. It came with 2 times more vegetables than chicken. It was literally 3 spoons of chicken total. The flavor was alright which is why I gave it 2 stars but it also had more oil than sauce. Compared to other Thai restaurants for the same price, you get way more chicken and flavor with less oil.
Good food, great service
Quality food with a comprehensive menu. I got the mango fried rice with tofu—generous amounts of mango and veg, and the tofu cubes were nicely sautéed and bouncy. Dining companion liked her orange chicken.
Wow. One of the best Thai food I’ve ever had. I got the spicy noodles, lunch special
Let's just say I order out from Corner Thai often. My elderly parents love it too and they've become very picky. The pad thai is great. The yellow curry tofu is my go to.
Love the spicy chicken
Fresh and delicious. The ambiance is very cozy and tranquil. I loved it.
I really like this place, so I still gave it 5 stars. I love the Pad See eww and Pad Thai.
But I want to make a complaint about the tofu spring rolls…. Should rename them the bean sprout spring rolls… I wish they took care to make their spring rolls well.
If you look at the photo I included, all of those bean sprouts are from one spring roll!!
There was literally two tiny pieces of carrot and I didn’t detect any mint when I bit into it. Glad they use romaine and the peanut sauce is good though.
Delicious Thai food with fresh ingredients. Service was great and the owner was enthusiastically proud of her cooking
Great quality Thai food and reasonably priced
I usually order the Thai Fried Rice but change it up with Brown Rice, add chicken and not spicy. Quality of taste is always flavorful and satisfying, like a home cooked meal! Great portions of serving!
I love coming here anytime I’m craving veggies. Their vegetarian meals are impeccable. But the last 2 times I’ve eaten here, my fish dishes had chicken in them. As a pescatarian, Im more lenient on meat, but if youre strictly vegetarian or allergic I wouldn’t order here. But the cheesy crab wontons are TO DIE FOR.

Tasty
Best Thai food in San Diego as well as the owner and staff!
nice small place , but tasty food, our second time there, friendly people!
We were really glad we stopped here on a whim for lunch one Saturday. Food was delicious. Service was wonderful. There's indoor and outdoor seating; plenty of parking. Beer, wine and sake is served. Alcohol and apps on happy hour! Extensive menu. Pictured is larb salad and spicy basil with ground pork
Excellent Authenic Thai Food. Always piping hot and fresh ingredients
Good food & service
Lots of choices
This past week it has been pouring rain in San Diego and so naturally I was craving something warm (aka soup). I was craving curry but at the same time a noodle soup and that’s when I decided to order Khow Soi noodle soup. It is so delicious and gives you the curry satisfaction with plenty of veggies and noodles as well! I had enough to last me 2 days (hence the photo) and it’s just as delicious!
Delicious food. Great service
Can't get enough of this place! Their Pad Thai is so very good and usually enough to take home! We get the fresh spring rolls every time we visit, the peanut sauce is mouth watering. The dine-in is good for small groups and the take-out is prompt and always available.
Thai food here’s always good.
This is one of my favorite Thai spots! My favorites are the yellow curry and Chicken Pho Soup!
Good place. Nice amount of food for the price, nice friendly service
First time trying Laos papaya salad. More fishy than Thai papaya salad. Apparently, because it uses anchovy sauce. Still good, needed more rice. I can't eat it by itself or need a protein pairing.
Hot basil chicken was also good. We did the mild spice, so my toddler can try it too.
I tried Thai food in Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Pai, and Ao Nang. But this restaurant’s Beef Drunken Noodle + Tofu Red Curry is some of the tastiest, freshest, and most authentic I’ve ever had!
I tasted a smoky flair in the beef from a perfect fry in the wok!
And the perfectly tender chew of the drunken noodle was like a full body massage for my gustatory cortex.
I live down the street now, but I will be returning here long after I move.
(I forgot to take a picture of the food after one bite let to another and I could not stop myself).
Almost forgot to mention it only took 10 minutes for my order to be ready. Phenomenal.
Everyone in the group really enjoyed their food. It was so good we're already making plans to return after Christmas.

We consider ourselves fortunate to have discovered this gem. Initially planning to visit Rubio's, we were deterred by the long line and opted for this place, only to find out it was their opening day. Additionally, we learned about their other location down the street, King of Thai.
Our order included Tom Kha soup with fried tofu, which turned out to be the best we've had in San Diego. It boasts a rich flavor and thickness that sets it apart. We also enjoyed the appetizer sampler, with a special shout-out to the chicken satay, which was notably moist compared to other places. The accompanying peanut sauce was excellent.
The service was outstanding, marked by attentiveness and warm smiles. We look forward to returning for more culinary delights.

Outstanding Thai food Thai Flavor!!
Super cute and delicious
My new favorite place and best Thai food I've had! The food was delicious with generous portions and beautiful presentation and the staff were super sweet. Will definitely return often!
Finally, great Thai in my neighborhood.
Great menu but it is the drinks that sets them apart from other Thai Restaurants in the area. The service was extremely good as well. I will be a regular here.
I was inline first for Thai tea thanks for ignoring me and skipping me for the next person. Witch I had cash 9-16-2023
I love this place! Their Drunken Noodles are better than any I found when living on the East Coast! I even liked their Chi Tea (I had coconut milk in mine). I don't usually like most chi. And if course what Thai meal is complete without mango sticky rice? Love it! I'm so happy this place is in my neighborhood! 💯👍😁
Excellent Pad Thai!!!
I import handicrafts from SE Asia and have been to Thailand more than 50 times and I love good Thai food. Last night was my first time eating at Corner Thai Kitchen and I was impressed. There were 3 of us and we ordered 4 dishes; Tom Kha with chicken, Mango Fried Rice, Massuman Curry with chicken and Ginger with pork. The Tom Kha and Mango Fried Rice were really exceptional and as good as you would get in a good Thai restaurant in Thailand. The Massuman Curry was also very good maybe a 4.5 out of 5. The Ginger with pork and other vegetables was good but wasn't as tasty as the other 3.
The serving size was large and even after stuffing ourselves there was a lot to take home. The service was very good and friendly.
Bottom line I am adding this restaurant to my list of great places to eat in San Diego.
Great quality, portions, cosy spot, and friendly staff. Thank you for a great night!
Good food, best service … gonna go back again
Best place in the area since Lilac Thai Kitchen closed! Sad they closed, but so glad we found a great new place. Love the pad thai. First time I had ever tried thai iced coffee, it was very delicious, I always get thai tea but this may be a usual. Our youngest loved the Thai mango chicken and our oldest loved the Hawaiian fried rice. My husband loves the options for his food allergies. Great place.
Great flavors and wonder addition of a good Thai restaurant in the neighborhood. Definitely going to be a go to joint.
Inconsistent. Been coming to this place since opening and ordering same item, same spice level. Every time spice level changes and today order seems unseasoned at all(no heat and I request very spicy) and I order and rice is mush. If this were my only experience, I wouldn't come back. Just went back and food was perfect. If it stays consistent, I'll be a long term customer.
Great, hospitable service! Clean, and plenty of delicious dishes to choose from!
Nice ambiance and the dishes had interesting flavors
Pad Thai: Tasteless, no flavor, very dry, ended up not eating it due to how flavorless it was. I also ordered my pad Thai with beef ($2 upcharge) which ended up being so chewy i was not able to eat it.
Cream cheese wontons were tasty as were the crab wontons.
Will not be returning though due to how disappointing the Pad Thai was.
I give the food a 3 but the service was a 1 so it averaged to 2. The staff don’t really listen and rather respond. I would say I don’t want broccoli and they would say “so yes to the broccoli?”… it was extremely frustrating. They kept giving the drinks and food to the wrong people. They weren’t really paying attention.
The food wasn’t special enough for me to get take out there so I won’t be going back.
The egg rolls were yummy but the drunken noodle was below average and they weren’t thick enough. Idk it was weird.
Quality food, large portions, reasonably priced. Can’t ask for more.
Pleasant surprise! Really great food. Fresh veggies. Not too much oil. Light on fish sauce. Also, they just fixed up the inside. We will definitely be back.
We got all our dishes with fried tofu and they give you huge pieces. We loved the Tom Kha soup the flavor is so sweet and savory at the same time. Their portion sizes are huge, enough food for three meals each. We are so happy that there is a Thai restaurant close to us that has such good food. Looking forward to trying more.
This place is outstanding!! We had yellow curry, fresh spring rolls with tofu and fried spring rolls. All 5 star dishes
Great food, friendly staff and atmosphere! We visited before they closed the kitchen in the afternoon. We were able to order and dined in just fine. We ordered a few main dishes and appetizers. They all came out in a timely manner and flavorful. Definitely hits the spot, swing by, they’re definitely worth it!
Food was hot and fresh, great service friendly staff!
Someone great first time experience. Nice clean welcoming place. I ordered spice level 1 and it was so spicy that i took 2 bites and threw everything in trash. I hope there was some miscommunication between the cashier and cook or a typo between 1 what I ordered and 10* what I received. Would definitely like to give them another chance.
Hawaiian fried rice with chicken and shrimp was flavorful even though I ordered it mild. So good! Egg drop soup had ground chicken in it and sooo warm and just GOOD and not bland at all like normal boring egg drop. I will definitely be coming back.
Great food and a very friendly staff!
We are so lucky to have stumbled upon this place. We were gonna grab Rubios but it was a huge line there. Decided to go here and found out today was their opening day. And that they have another location down the street; King of Thai.
We had Tom Kha soup with fried tofu. Best we’ve ever had in SD. It’s very flavorful and thick.
And we had the appetizers sampler. Really delicious too. Special call out on the chicken satay. It’s not dry like most places. And the peanut sauce was excellent.
The service was great too. Attentive and full of smiles.
We’d definitely return for more.
