The Coconut Fulton is the premier Thai Restaurant in the Arden-Arcade area, a popular spot serving traditional Thai dishes, craft draft beer & wine in simple surrounds.
We have enjoyed dining at the Coconut Fulton many times, and have always been delighted with the experience.
We decided to order take-out for a large family gathering, and the meals were perfectly prepared and steaming hot at the appointed pick-up time...just perfection!
Anna took or order and is delightful, and the chef is amazing. Absolutely every family member loved their meals...How can anyone beat fabulous food and delightful people? The pricing is very fair as well...want great Thai food? Treat yourself to this exceptional restaurant...Oh, the Mixed Vegetables with a great variety of brown rice is one of our favorites...even the rice is exceptional!
Have been coming to this place prior to ownership change. Food has always been great, but tonight it was subpar at best. $15 for green curry dish that had all of three 1/4" pieces of eggplant which was hard, and not cooked through. They included red bell peppers that were barely cooked, one piece actually had mold on it, which I spit out, but continued to cautiously eat the remaining pieces which were not tainted. I did order a glass of Bogel Pinot, but after taking a small taste discovered the bottle was corked, and tasted a little like a dry port. I inquired if this was a new bottle they poured from, or a previously opened one. I asked if there was a fresher bottle she could pour from. The YOUNG pleasant waitress said it was not a new bottle, she returned with a new glass from what I thought was a newly opened bottle, and it was fine. After receiving the bill, there was an a different price for the glass I had ordered. The price was increased b y 42%! I inquired to the older waitress to make the correction, but she raised her voice and said that it was a different brand. I politely explained that I had never ordered the brand she had on the bill , nor was it even on the menu, and asked to correct the invoice to the price for the glass I ordered. The women kept raising her voice to me and said that I had to pay for what ever brand I drank. Apparently I never had a choice or option with regard to this. I said I am happy to pay for what I ordered, explaining if, unbeknownst to me, they decided to pour a different brand, I shouldn't be charged that. If I had know this is a policy of bait and switch when they can't keep their opened bottles of wine properly stored, I would have ordered tea!! The older waitress said in a loud and pitched voice that she would remove the item. I said, If they want to replace food with other higher priced items without the consumer's consent that is not a good practice, and how would they feel. I explained that removing the item off the bill in no way makes me a content customer, what is fair is that I should have been advised and had the opportunity to choose if they were going to bait and switch to an item without customer's knowledge. She refused to put the item on the bill after I said It should be. The woman went on about some internal policy, which she probably set herself, to loudly state that she would never serve me again, adding did I expect her to pay out of her pocket for this item? I think the women is having some personal struggles and not mentally all there. Since she refused to add the item back to the bill, and did NOT want to hear the customer's point of view, a discussion, or customer feedback regarding the experience, I quietly added the additional on the charge card, plus a tip for the young waitress that had served me politely. It's a good thing I didn't mention the mold I tasted as she might have really flipped a lid. I get that business' are struggling, and they try their best, but PLEASE, remove belligerent and hostile employees or owners if they can't deal with minutia interaction from loyal and local guests. The location downtown has awesome and friendly staff, and the food is far greater at their other location.
Food is pretty good, but the experience was ruined with disappointing service. My coworkers and made a reservation here for a group lunch because the staff promised they would be able to split our checks at the end. Then day of the server said she wouldn’t do it. Don’t promise something you can’t deliver, I dislike being lied to. we won’t be coming back in the future.
My mom is in the ICU and was just told she is allowed to eat real food. I thought I'd bring her some Tom Kha soup (her fave). I placed an order for pick-up and, when I got to the hospital, learned they had packed the wrong soup. When I called them to let them know, that staff was extremely rude and accused me of trying to "take advantage of them." They asked me what kind of soup I was given by accident and, because I didn't know the answer to their questions (again, it wasn't what I ordered so how would I possibly know what it is), they became increasingly hostile and accused me of lying. They claim that I must be lying because I won't leave the hospital in this moment to bring their wrong soup order back. B minus for food and F minus for customer service.
Never disappointed when I get takeout from here! Took me a while to realize I had the same place I loved in midtown right here in my new neighborhood, I've been stoked ever since!

The worst customer service like EVER. They have no human decency. FOR ANYONE!!
Very good food many vegan options awesome place to eat!
I ordered Nam Ka & Papaya Salad from this Resturant back in April &/or May of this year 2024. I have been sick ever since. WOM goes they poisioned me with Algea!

First time here and will definitely be back
Clean and fresh. Authentic. Yummy

Phenomenal and great staff.
Haven't eaten at this specific location, but I've been to 2 of their other ones, I get the green curry with avocado and been addicted since. I HIGHLY recommend that dish and this place!
Took my mom there impulsively. Great food, great service and reasonable prices. We both had leftovers for another meal each!
Food was subpar, everythingwas served cold including the soup and curry. Service was pathetic. We were given dirty tea cups for hot water. Ice cream was served with main course. The waitresses kept rushing us to place the order. We were at the restaurant by 7.45 pm. We will not be returning . The one in midtown is far better
The worst Thai food ever eaten. Restaurant manager ignored our comments when I phoned in. Asked for not spicy. Too
Spicy. Veggie wrap hard as a rock. Inedible.
I’ve been here several times with friends/family this year and The Coconut on Fulton is GOATED. Portions are generous, prices reasonable, and staff is friendly. Their drunken noodle and Thai iced tea are some of the best things on the menu.
The newer reviews of people complaining of new management being poor or the store being dirty are ignorant. I’ve seen those same customers be really rude and cuss to the employees which has always been uncalled for. Treat people with respect and you’ll often be treated well in return. It’s a quaint Thai restaurant in Arden, not the Taj Mahal. People need to stop nitpicking and make their own food if they are so concerned.
Try the restaurant! I definitely will be back with more customers
Went today, bad service, had to ask for everything multiple times. Then when I told them, they laughed at me? I went to this restaurant few years ago, maybe it was owned by someone else, but bad service!
This restaurant has a pest issue. Ants are crawling all on the window sill and tables. Was brought to the workers attention and they did not care. I did not eat there. There is no telling what the kitchen looks like. This needs to be reported to the Health Department. Would not recommend this establishment!!!!!
Food is kinda bland since the new ownership. Service was fine no problems. Atmosphere is also kinda bland since new ownership.
Authentic blend of Asian spices on a wide-ranging menu of favorites suited to American tastes. Rice noodles and paper wraps, Fresh veggies, Savory soups with and without Seafood, Creamy dipping sauces & all the sides for hot and sour. They'll get part of my ENTERTAINMENT FOOD budget EVERY MONTH!
I've eaten here twice. Service is good and the staff is friendly. The restaurant seems clean. The food is bland and sparse on the protein and veggies. I had tofu pad thai that was...fine, small and fine. The beef fried rice had very little flavor, a few pieces of broccoli and maybe 2 ounces of beef - pathetic, frustrating, annoying. The portions are ok at best, and other Thai restaurants within a mile or two are tastier and have better value. Don't really recommend this place.
The food is delicious and service too,you will need to visit this place 😀😋😄
I called in my order and told them specifically that I had a food allergy and if they could make my drunken noodles without onions. I picked it up asked about if they were able to make it without the onions again and they said it was ready to go. I got home and half the veg was onions.
I only ever get one thing. Padthai, but it's always good and always is enough portion. I always peer over to see what other people get while they are eating, and it all looks good as well
We’ve been customers here since the previous owners and since the new owners. We’ve always had a good experience and treated kindly and attentive. But today we didn’t experience any of that . Not sure what her name is but she said she was the one in charge today on Sunday 2/18/24 during dinner time around 6pm . She was very rude and not attentive. She argued with us and when we asked for a plastic container for leftovers she argued as to why we had to have a cardboard box instead. And she raised her voice to us. That is not good customer service at all. She was a really rude lady.
Excellent seafood dishes.
Location is ok
Atmosphere is good
Food and Service is excellent
We had red curry, fresh rolls, and drunken noodle. Sauces were light and delicious and the shrimp and chicken cooked perfectly. Service excellent and food delivered quickly. Lots of great draft beer choices including Track 7, Lost Coast and Knee Deep.
Food was amazing I got yellow curry and my wife had Se-Ew they where delicious!
We are going to come here more. Everyone is super friendly and fun best service I’ve have in years!
Food sucked. Service sucked
My new favorite place to eat food is amazing!
My order notes were confusing for you guys tonight but I had written that I had only wanted extra mushrooms and no onions. I hadn’t wanted extra protein especially with the $4 charge. In my final instructions I said “with the protein” so I was clearly saying I didn’t want extra proteins. I’m not happy at all about the $4 extra charge and did call you guys before you closed but am not happy with a credit or getting a refund back from Uber. You guys should of just given me back $4 in cash to give to the driver instead. Also to top of the $4 charge I was already angry about, when my soups arrived, I saw that they were both Tom kha instead of one going tom yum with no coconut milk. I ordered two different soups, not 2 Tom kha soups. I felt like this was done intentionally and on purpose in the kitchen and I feel now you guys are getting greedy and not reading my instruction notes carefully and now thinking it’s okay to charge customers $4 for something they didn’t want or ask for. Plus you guys got my order wrong and have me the wrong soup. I’m upset too that I was told I would only be credited for one soul in the future when it should be 2 soups since now my order was wrong tonight and I got 2 Tom kha coconut soups instead of a Tom kha and a Tom yum. I’m pretty disappointed and angry as I’ve spent a lot of money at this new restaurant and I have ordered the same two different soups 8 times by now and this is my last straw. You guys lost a customer and now are being greedy with the money and overcharging customers now since you guys can read my detailed instructions and you guys can’t get the orders right in the kitchen as well and have given me the wrong soups now! I’m really disappointed and angry with you guys. You guys lost a customer. I tried to be nice to the phone lady but I was pretty pissed and angry and still am, not cool guys.
Really delicious food 😋
This is a great place for Thai food. The food has flavor and does not require a lot of heat to flavorful. I actually prefer mild, which seems to have a little heat. We love to go to this place and the original location at 10th and T.
I have been a regular customer of The Coconut Folsom for many years, and I have noticed that the dishes have gotten better and better over time. The food is delicious, the service is excellent, and there is plenty of parking. If you are looking for a great Thai restaurant, I highly recommend The Coconut Folsom. And be sure to try the mango sticky rice! It is truly amazing
Been to this location multiple times (said I wasn't coming back but keep coming back because the food is good). However, order has NEVER been correct. Usually just missing spice (always order medium spice) sometimes wrong dish comes out. Always come with a friend and one if not both of our orders are wrong in some way. Would love to just come and actually get what we ordered. Please do better.
Fresh and solid.
