Food was good , service was a little above average. The hospitality was great though she was refilling our waters and asking if we were doing okay. We got the chicken satay which was a 9.5/10 , we got the thai chow mein w/ beef which was a 9/10, the pineapple fried rice w/ chicken was a 9/10 and the yellow curry w/ chicken was a 10/10 , and didn’t get a picture of the thai tea but it was an 11/10. Would recommend this place for sure, and excited to come back and try new items! Fyi: we shared this as a family of four and it costed $66 and it was almost not enough food for us so your looking at around $15 per person i guess.
If you’re driving to or from the airport or if you’re craving tasty Thai food, do yourself a favor and stop by.
The pad Thai was what I believe to be very authentic. Crispy bean sprouts, crunchy peanuts, rice noodles with the perfect texture (if rice noodles could be Al dente), and the sauce was just the right amount, it wasn’t swimming in it and it wasn’t too dry.
You could tell that the vegetables were fresh for both the papaya salad and the drunken noodles. The shrimp was also very fresh.
I really enjoyed the honey ribs as well, sweet sauce with a hint of curry.
The Tom yum soup wasn’t my fave, but I generally favor Tom Yum with heavy tomato flavoring. Still very tasty, the veggies were fresh, the mushrooms cleaned.
Our prior go-to Thai restaurant was not truly vegetarian (shrimp paste in curry/sauces, for example), so we had to stop going there. Came to Thai Princess for the first time. They endorsed that their food was could be made pure vegetarian with no fish sauce, oyster sauce, shellfish, or shrimp paste in what we ordered. Hopefully that is true.
Food was lovely. We ordered Thai spring roll (vegetarian version, no shrimp), eggplant dish, and pa-naeng curry with tofu + mixed vegetables. Nicely sized portions and we took left overs home. The spring roll wrappers were soft and easy to bite through. Also enjoyed that they served us water infused with orange slices. Would definitely come again! Be patient as they have limited staff working.
Tried out this place for the first time. I got the Pork Belly stirfry or padkra pow and 2 cooked eggs. The pork belly was too over cooked and dry. I couldn't finish it because it felt like I was chewing on charcoal. The flavor was there though. They just need to fix that problem and it would be a hit dish. I know alot of restaurants precooked their pork belly for the day and just recook it in whatever dish they're going to make later on. But this piece I got just wasn't it. I've had this plate before at other restaurants and it was on point. I guess after you open up for awhile you start to get lazy with the cooking. Serving quantity over quality. I'll give it a try again some day and hopefully they fix that problem.
Thai princess spicy fried shrimp and chicken satay is to die for! Literally spectacular. I love those dishes and Thai tea! Awesome customer service! Fast service. Make sure to ask for a 2 in spiciness because ordering a 4 makes me cry lol! I only took away a star because one time it seemed like they gave me an old dish and reheated it for the spicy fried shrimp and sometimes they skimp on the shrimp.
Ordered online. After calling with no reply went to pickup order. They were closed!! Despite website and posted hours saying they were open. Asked gal next day about our cc charges. No problem with cc refund.
But no apology no " we're so sorry about your order when we should have been open but weren't " . Good food. Terrible customer service. Not going back!!
My mother and I got horrible food poisoning after eating here in August. I thought it was a one off accident, but then I heard someone a week ago at the Starbucks next door talk about how they went to the ER from food poisoning after eating there. Please be careful if you choose to eat here, and I am posting this as a public health concern.
The Basil Crispy Pork is ahhmmmaazzzing. The crab fried rice had so much crab. The papaya salad was a great balance of sweet and spicy.

Veggies were extremely fresh. Spring rolls had delicious dark green lettuce. Very yummy.

Really good food, great service, and reasonable prices. The restaurant is very clean, and I highly recommend it.
Authentic Thai food here is great! I usually go for take out but the service for dine in is very enjoyable. My favorite orders here include the tom yum soup with chicken and shrimp, and the fried rice with chicken. Pork rib good too. They cook great with authentic ingredients. Recommend!

Stopped by here randomly since we were getting froyo and this was the best thai food in sac I had in a long time. I am very picky too. The quality is so good and prices are not bad too. This restaurant does alot of takeout so we were the only ones dining in. We ordered pad thai. Noodles were very chewy and perfectly cooked and the tofu was fried before so it was very tasty. Husband got pineapple shrimp curry! We are def coming back. 100% better than Thai canteen lol
Delicious food and pleasant employees. We ate in, and I would order takeout next time.
Best experience! The food was amazingly delicious the service was excellent. This will be a must stop restaurant and if you do not know how to order they are very helpful!
Very few restaurants duplicate eating in Thailand. This place is amazing. I stop in every time I drive by Sacramento.
Looks like new ownership in this place. See ice is mediocre, owner server barely says a word. Given plates and when I pointed it out, no apology, just a grunt. Had to retrieve my own condiments. No bowls for the soup. No more lunch special. Place is not the same as the previous owners. Was a ghost town during a mid-week lunch. This place use to be packed and phone ringing off the hook, no more. Needless to say, we will not be back.
Such a cute place with amazing food. The customer service was perfect and the food was fresh and delicious! My new favorite Thai spot in town.
I got the pad thai with chicken...I never had peanuts in my noodles(then again I never had Thai food either) so I was skeptical the first time trying it...those lil nuts added a whole new taste to the noodles(I tired a portion without peanuts first)...now when I order it I ask for extra peanuts...I also tried the pineapple fried rice...the only downside is you get 2 shrimps(I'm a shrimp lover)...the rice was delicious and very filling...you definitely get more than what you pay for...I can't wait to explore more of their menu
Whenever I crave real authentic Thai food, I go to this place. I like my food very spicy and this place makes it as spicy as I want. Of course, they'll make it not spicy also all depends on your preference. I rarely get disappointed with their food, it's almost always consistent. I ordered Chicken Bamboo shoot (my favorite) and deep fried catfish (was a little salty but was still good). I highly recommend Thai Princess.
I usually have a pleasant experience at Thai Princess. Tonight the lady working at the counter was quite rude. I was polite and honest about the fact that I did not appreciate the way she treated me. Instead of an apology she was defensive and rude. Not sure if I will continue to support this business.

This has been our favorite Thai place for years. Whenever family come to visit they always want to eat here. Sadly, over the last year the service and food has not been very good. I've been treated rudely by wait staff and the food is just not the same. We had dinner there the other night..the same dishes we've had countless times and I swear the recipes are different. The kicker was last week I ordered delivery through Ubereats and they cancelled the delivery shortly before it was to be delivered. Time to find a new favorite Thai place.
AMAZING!!!! Some of the fastest service I’ve ever experienced (food came out in less than 10 minutes of ordering). Amazing quality and taste and reasonable pricing. Would definitely recommend
My husband and I got severely sick after eating one of two places, this being one of them. We are currently trying to figure out what we were infected with so we can treat it. The symptoms are debilitating for me and very uncomfortable for my husband.
One of their reviews from 5 years ago states "If you want to get sick eat here. The food preparation is very unsanitary. I watched the chef come from the bathroom with unwashed hands and went right into making the food. horrible place."
Again, I don't know if I caught something from here or the other place we ate at but it's important that I post this in case anyone else is suffering from similar symptoms from mid September 2022 to October 10, 2022. My husband and I really need to know what we were infected with so we can get better. I'm crying everyday because this should not have happened and has turned my life upside down.
They outdid themselves with the panang chicken curry. It was one of the best I've eaten. The rice was also perfect. I suggest taking the bay leaves out before eating they are small and blend I with the green beans.
It used to be a nice place, but not any more. The waitress wasn't very nice. Kept staring like I was going to leave without paying. She asked me did I signed the receipt. No thank you. No fortunate cookie. Elements of prejudice even though I'm from the Midwest where I never encountered this behavior. Never going back again.
Food is always on point! Order ahead and it’ll be ready when you arrive 😃 red curry/ silver noodle salad, papaya salad are all my go-to’s!
Good food. Great service!
the papaya salad was ok, the sweat and sour fish was not good, and the services was way below par.
We ordered six different things and they were all either very bland or overly sweet. The Thai rolls were okay though
Dissappinting. Have seen other reviewers comment on gluten free options available here but when I stopped by to order gluten free fried rice the order taker gave me the impression they think gluten-free is vegan or vegetarian. Then when I explained what gluten-free meant, she responded with "we have the sauce", which she then claried "it's a light sauce" upon me asking. I have no idea whatthe light sauce is but she couldn't confirm it was gluten free when I asked her, she just kept repeat that it was light... Afraid she was confusing it with light soy sauce or light salt sauce or something else, I did not feel comfortable ordering from here, alas I had to walk away...very disappointed.
I highly recommend this place. I'm no expert on Thai food, but this one is really tasty and has a lot of flavor.
Great food
Cashier woman so rude.
We love this place! The food is always great, the staff is super friendly, and the prices are affordable for what you get (you get a LOT of food). They’re very good at accommodating different diets (like vegan). Really nice inside, when they open back to the public go here for indoor dining and until then, get their take out, they’re super fast and accommodating!
Always good
They know us also
Tried the red curry with chicken, pineapple, shrimp, and brown rice. Good tasting and plenty of food
Is the best service and food
Best Thai food around order Chicken Tom Khan soup it was amazing. The flavors I definitely be ordering more food.
I love Thai food, and this place is the best in town. They are also very reasonably priced. Their curries are yummy, but my favorite is the Thai Basil dish. If you don't like spicy foods, be sure to order mild.
My daughter is a picky eater, but she loves the fried wontons. It had been over a year since we last dined here. She often mentioned the wontons so I drove 30 minutes for her to get wontons on her birthday.
Good food and good service.
Love there pad thai with any protein.
They have the sticky rice with mango for a sweet dessert option.
The angel wings, imperial corn with mushrooms, thai noodles, the list keeps going on, but all the food we have enjoyed.
The soups have been good too. The tom kha with chicken, The coconut broth was excellent, insert straw and slurp it up Loaded with mushrooms and all the goodies Has all the flavors that just make it great.
The vegetable soup was so good it brang back tastes from our childhood favorite spot restraunt from far far away from here.
The pineapple fried rice was good too.. Pineapple fried rice - chicken, 2 pieces of shrimp, pineapple, tomato slices, onion and a curry like taste for seasonings.
Parking is easy and plenty in the shopping area..
Customer service is so sweet and nice.. makes you like coming back back for more.
I should have paid closer attention to the reviews. The supposed “crispy” fish was soggy and slimy. The spicy fried rice was over cooked the texture was more like risotto, tasted like soap (3 other people tried it said same thing), there were barely any veggies besides some wilted greens and giant onion chunks, it was also flavorless just hot pepper spice and not in a good way. Tried to call restaurant and the woman who answered was rude, inflexible, and simply unapologetic about the low quality of their food. Thank goodness for Uber eats doing the right thing. It went straight into the trash bin. 10/10 wouldn’t recommend and we def won’t be going back.
Clean and a solid 4 and maybe better but depends on what your dish is. I usually rate Asian on Pha Thai and there is 3.5 but there drunken noodle is above a 4
One of my favorite Natomas Thai restaurants. Love their mango chicken curry!
I placed an order online before I had to show up for work. Website seemed very easy to navigate so I thought it wouldn't be an issue to pick up my food, boy was I wrong. Showed up and the doors were closed but I could see 2 employees in the store looking right at me but refusing to acknowledge my existence. After knocking for a bit an annoyed employee opens the door. I explain that I had placed an order online to pickup but they told me they were closed for lunch and wouldn't open for 30 minutes. As I told them there wasn't any such notice on the website the employee says " Well I don't know what to tell you" and CLOSES THE DOOR ON ME WHILE I AM STILL TALKING. I have never been treated so rudely at any restaurant. This place used to be awesome but has gone downhill over the past year or so.
Really disappointing drunken noodles.
Good food watch how much she charges and make sure you get the correct change. Our food came out to be $40 my husband gave her $60. She was not going to give us change. But my husband caught it and let her know. She was very apologetic. Gave us the change, overall yummy food.
Good solid thai food.. variety of beers could improve..
IF you don't want to be open the don't be open!
My family ordered 3 items last night and all were very disappointing.
First was the Pad Thai ... or what they called Pad Thai. It was basically a container packed with tons of noodles, 3 pieces of chicken left over egg scraps and 1 green onion. There were zero peanuts or bean sprouts. The only redeeming thing about this dish is that the flavor of the sauce was slightly above decent.
Second was Green Curry with chicken. Good flavor and amount of chicken, unlike the Pad Thai, but not enough veggies. Also if you ask us if we "want rice" and we ask if it comes with it and you say yes to which we reply yes then ... then add the rice. We didn't get any rice. If you had no intent to add the rice then don't ask us if we want the rice that we're supposed to get. All you did was bring glaring attention to the fact that you didn't give us any rice!
Lastly we had Asparagus with prawns in light brown sauce. There were 5 prawns so interpret that as you will but the asparagus was pretty lacking. Almost all stalks and overall we felt that the volume of asparagus was very low. If you order a dish titled "Asparagus" then you should be making the asparagus the star of the dish.
Overall this was very disappointing as we had dined in a couple times pre-COVID. IF you don't want to serve dishes as described or don't care to complete the dish then just don't be open for service. We have no reason to go back for dine in because of this.
Fantastic little gem of a spot the food here is awesome, definite must try!
Tasty, friendly
The staff is awesome. The food is delicious. Always hot and quick service. Great gluten free options too!! Love this place!!!
*****BEWARE*******
This place will help themself to a nice little tip and hope you won't look at your bank statement to catch it.
I ordered for pickup one evening. Paid $27 for my food on my debit card. I checked my bank statement a couple of days later and saw a $31 charge. A $4 tip for pickup is quite generous.
I immediately drove over to the restaurant. When confronted with what happened, they refunded my money. If you pay with your debit/credit card, CHECK YOUR STATEMENT. They will steal from you.
Very rude lady at the front counter . I entered this restraunt at 2:15 pm . She tells me they will close at 3pm to 4pm . I told her I had 45 mins .. she tells me that I will need to leave at 3pm .. very bad experience .. there were lots of people in the restaurant that were eating and she refused to serve us . Very embarrassing.. word of advice never go there between two pm to 4 pm .. rude lady won’t serve you
Very characteristically Thai food. Slightly adapted to the American palette.
Such a lovely little place. Foods food and a pleasant ambiance.
Excellent food and affordable.
Good food. Good ambience
They need to update their hours. It shows they were open and we arrived at 3:09pm to find out they were closed for lunch for one hour! Then we ended up going to Thai Spoon Restaurant, and it was one of the top Thai restaurants we have ever tried.
Veggies in the Tom yum soup over done.
Really good food. Really good service!
The food was very delicious. Quality food for the price. Very friendly staff.
Quite disappointing
Not authentic at all
I wouldn’t come back, sorry
Awesome place. Delicious food. I like wonton soup and pad see yew here.
I remember coming to this place like 3 or 4 years ago.. It was jam packed and our group had to wait outside to be called in. So, it was little surprising to see almost all the tables being empty at first... We ordered a Satay Chicken as Appetizer. I couldn't imagine that the signature dish would go wrong... Our group's Friday lunch was nothing like we imagined.Very disappointed..
I ordered shrimp bamboo shoots dish and it came with ONE shrimp. ONE. I paid $1.95 extra on top of the $12 entree price...for shrimp and got ONE. Asked for peanut sauce and got none. Ive ordered from Thai Princess before but never again.
Thai Princess is the best!! Its a beautiful restaurant first of all ...and you can't go wrong ordering. Everything on the menu is delicious!!! ..And you gotta get the Sweet Sticky Rice with Mango..its SO YUMMY!!!! The Yellow Curry is incredibly flavorful..it's SO GOOD!!!
It's alright.
I was on Friday at this restaurant and will not visit or recommend anybody! Service and attitude to the guests (visitors, clients) was bad! The waitress always tried to mentioned to us and other family, who came for dinner with child that the restaurant will be closed at 9 pm, and we have to be in a hurry.
The best Thai restaurant ever.
Great Thai Food! Good service too.
Good solid Thai. I have had good luck ordering gluten free with the manager help.
Good but not the best
Best Thai food in North Natomas by a huge margin. Full of flavors, great heat, use of real chili peppers. Try the Jungle Curry. Food 10/10, ambiance 7/10 Service 7/10.
Ok this is my favorite Thai place in Sacramento❤❤❤❤yummy
Love it
Ok...same generic sauce on different curries
Great place for Thai food try the Pangang Curry. Service is always friendly when I visit Sacramento.
Food
Very delicious food! I will definitely gonherr again! The people are friendly and had no problem making a few cjachan to the dishes I ordered to suit me. Best Thai I have had in Sacramento!
Love it
Fast service, great food.
I had been invited to lunch by friends and they decided we'd give Thai Princess a try. A smaller strip mall type place, yet it felt roomy and comfortable. It was fairly busy, but we were seated immediately and asked right after by a server, what we wanted to drink. It was cold so we all ordered hot tea. It came very quickly, hot and perfectly steeped
We ordered hot soups. Both my friends ordered a coconut milk based soup and were asked how spicy they each wanted their soup to be. I chose the soup of chicken with lemon grass and basil. It was hot, mildly spicy and delicious. Ernesto had chosen very spicy for his coconut milk soup. Wowsa! It was hot!!!!
Lisa had ordered hers mild and i loved it.
Next time i will order the coconut milk soup. My lemon grass soup was a bit too sour for me to have it again. Even though the chicken and veggies were really delicious. We also had a spring roll type appetizer stuffed with tofu which totally lacked flavour
I give Thai Princess 5 stars for service, prices and the soups. And will go back to try a few other things on their menu. Good stuff!
Quality Thai food with friendly staff and quiet dining.
Sweet fried rice sweet egg rolls...
Super disappointed. I’ve been going here for almost three years and the last three times I’ve gone (over a few months) the food has been horrid. Our pad Thai and drunken noodles, the noodles in both dishes tasted like they had been straight up soaked in sulfur or tap water. So gross. I’m really against wasting food and we both ended up tossing it. We’ve gone two times since then and the dishes have entirely lacked flavor. I used to love this place but we are done wasting our money on consistently poor food.
Perfect place for authentic Thai foods! The atmosphere is relaxing and comfortable, perfect for small families that like adventures!
Decent taste, has a limited menu.
Love this place service is great and the food is amazing always!
Thai princess spicy fried shrimp and chicken satay is to die for! Literally spectacular. I love those dishes and Thai tea! Awesome customer service! Fast service. I only took away a star because one time it seemed like they gave me an old dish and reheated it for the spicy fried shrimp and sometimes they skimp on the shrimp.
Excellent food, fair prices. The restaurant was nearly deserted when dined there and that's a shame bc it's a wonderful hidden gem!
My food was delivered after 35 minutes in a bag, so the fresh spring rolls were hot and wilted. ALL dishes were spicy, even dishes not marked Spicy on menu. Pad Thai was soggy. Awful and inedible food. Through it away.
Excellent food
Good food and atmosphere that won't break the bank.
Not real Thai food but decent Chinese Thai style food. Spicy fried rice is good but not much meat. I like the coconut soup, and shrimp wonton soup. Lunch time is the best time to dine here.
Great food, service and atmosphere. If you want a nice quiet Thai dinner this place has got you covered at a fair price
I love the small mom and pop feeling of this place and the wonderful attitudes of this place. I've always loved jimboys but these two ladies may I say are the best at getting your order out right fast and hot. And what can I say except their smiles go from ear to ear. As well as personal politeness for miles to come. I will add a picture later.
Good food, clean restaurant, fast service. Without requesting it wasn't spicy at all, actually a little sweet compared to others.
I've been looking for great Thai joint in my area. So far this spot is it!
Was on my way to the airport and I called in an order. The pad Thai was hot and ready for me when I arrived. I paid, and ended up having a few extra minutes so I asked if I could eat in the restaurant and they kindly obliged with very kind service offering me hot tea, Thai tea or iced tea.
The pad Thai was very tasty. The shrimp and chicken weren’t overdone. Glad I found Thai Princess. Perfect for the trip to or from the airport if you’re traveling though.
Delicious! I enjoy the food and the service is fast.
Delicious Thai food. Owners are so friendly and always know what we order. Great for takeout as well. Highly recommended!
Very fresh food with fast, excellent service.
Solid food, every time. Nice staff and relatively quiet. A lot of regulars here. Great curries and the thai fried rice stands out.
I love this place! Awesome service, great food, and some of the best thai coffee and tea i have found in the Sacramento, don't know what Tina is complaining about. I dont many places that repeat the order to you anymore but would it make you incredibly out of breath to repeaat yourself and ask if they have the order correct? As far as asking for "ANYTHING EXTRA", they have been more than generous with me and have even gone as far as selling me the bags of Thai coffee they make their coffee with so i dont have to go in and spend a ton of money for my 3 a day Thai coffee habit.. they're incredibly reasonably priced to..
Thai Princess replaced a previous Thai restaurant (Bangkok Garden) in this location that I had loved to go to frequently. Because of that, I didn't really visit the place because I was afraid I would be disappointed. But hunger crept in one fine day, and I decided to give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised, and the food was quite good. Service was also good, but a little slow. We tried the Satay Chicken and Thai Egg Rolls to start, and then had an eggplant dish and a chicken bell pepper dish. All was very tasty.
First of all, asking for EXTRA anything takes an ACT OF CONGRESS to get! They suck at taking orders. They don't repeat it to make sure it's correct. You ask them, and they say "okay, I got it!" do they really? Won't be eating there or referring this place anymore. What a joke! BANGKOK THAI GARDENS on ARENA waaaaaaaaaaaaaay better.
If you want to get sick eat here. The food preparation is very unsanitary. I watched the chef come from the bathroom with unwashed hands and went right into making the Food. Horrible place.
Great food. Quick service. Nice and quiet enough to have a conversation. Love this place.
Used to be called Bangkok Gardens, Was better
New management nothing tastes the same overly priced
Great food at great portions and prices
Serves good Thai food. Sometimes gets busy
I think it's a new owner but the food is good
