Curry, noodles & other Thai specialties served in a charming venue with bright decor & patio seats.
Thai House is one of the many Thai restaurants near my work. Most of their dishes are pretty good. Sometimes, I order to go, but I like to have my meals there even though they don't have a big dining room. The service is fast and friendly, and I like their food. However, the parking lot is very busy most of the time!
The menu provides a pretty decent variety of food.Pretty much typical from majority of the thai restaurants.. The number one choice I enjoy.
Is the drunken noodles and a spicy eggplant.. came back for the third time and this time I had pad Thai..yummmm I guess they hate people taking to go orders because they always appear to treat them differently..
Gets very busy during weekday lunch hours. Longer wait for a party of three. I ordered the eggplant lunch special with tofu as my choice of meat. Eggplant was roasted well. I would have preferred my tofu to be browned well though. Lunch special comes with a salad and choice of white or brown rice.
Thai House never disappoints. The first time my partner and I ate here we noticed how many people were saying things like ‘see you next time!’ on the way out - we should’ve guessed this meant the food would be great! I think this spot is a locals fave because the food is so good & folks return for a reason. We Deff will be too!
The food was the some of best Thai food I’ve ever had. Hands down. I ordered the Eggplant Delight. When I tell you this is so flavorful and filling, I still have lunch for tomorrow. It has prawns 🍤 chicken and vegetables with this sweet and savory sauce. Definitely coming back.
The grill prawns were the same shrimp you find frozen at Safeway. The spicy chili sauce that came with the dish was pure salt. For 25$ I was expecting a decent sized plate, however got like 7 small shrimp and 4 pieces of grilled vegetables.
There is a discrepancy between the online order system and in-house, by around 2 to 3 dollars per dish.
Extremely rude employees. Me and my friends showed up 25 minutes before closing and were asked what we were doing by an employee. After being greeted disrespectfully the chef began yelling from the kitchen “game over” repeatedly where we were asked to leave by the employee. On top of that we called around 8 o clock *an hour before closing and the call went straight to voicemail. Really was looking forward to trying this food I heart it was good but the way we were treated was very unfortunate.
The food was delicious and was cooked fast and fresh. The service was so so, there was 3 of us dining in and the waitress had brought out my friends plate first and served it in front of them, when she brought out my plate (7 minutes later) she left it on the end of the table (which was no where in my reach) and walked away 🤔. The quality and satisfaction from the food outweighed the poor service luckily. Would dine again but hopefully that waitress is having a better day.

Wow! Delicious curry dish!!! Great service! And the Chang beer was great! Atmosphere is calm, clean & friendly ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Five years later and it’s still delicious with great service !

My food was burnt (chicken on top of my Drunken Noodles) . It may have been because it was late and staff was tired but I still would have liked better quality. The flavor was great and the amount of food in the box for $21 dollars was decent. I wish the girl answering the phone would have quoted the total on the phone instead of when I arrived so I didn’t have sticker shock. I would say if my food wasn’t burnt(chicken) and I knew the price of that dish ahead of time it would have been a 5 star.
If you choose to go here, I wouldn't recommend any of the curry. It was very watery. Too much tofu and not enough veggies. Ordered takeout of curry and veggie egg rolls. The egg rolls were not veggie. I haven't had meat in years, so it really sucked to find out by biting into chicken. Unfortunately we won't be returning. 50$ really hurt for a takeout experience like this.
First time my wife and I went and got a stir fry. Flavor was great and we were quite pleased.
Great flavor and service, appetizers and soup arrived first, then above average entree's. Fine dining food in bustling cafe setting.

Excellent
Great tasting food and very easy to go pick up experience.
Food was just nasty tasting ordered 8 pot sticker they charged us for 32 pot sticker everything was cold pot sticker were over cooked and very little flavor to them be careful to look at your order if it is take out. Worst food ever beef and broccoli was horrible 😫
Good
Pad Thai was mid it wasn’t bad just didn’t have a lot of flavor and Thai food in my experience is usually spicy or comes with a topping you can add to make it spicy that didn’t happen but the Thai ice tea was great

Love their food, hate their service. Waitresses aren’t very welcoming.
'23/10 1st time customer/review (dinner group of 4):
-- Very easy to find in prominent street side location at entrance of shopping center. Plenty of free parking.
-- Small, tight indoor and patio (fenced) dining, but BOTH noisy (inside from kitchen and outside from busy shopping center/street). Inside was uncomfortably cold for a fall day, to point took that moved to patio dining even before placed order. Not ideal inside or out for hard of hearing, wheeled mobility impaired, or small children.
-- As other reviews point out, service was nice, but slow and unattentive to the point multiple time had to get up to go find waitress. Also, as other reviews also pointed out, food delivery time to the table was disjointed (3 members received food well before last member).
-- While the menu is decently impressive, and food is plated beautifully, the food itself was VERY bland. Two at our table can take heat, and specifically asked not only for their dishes to be spicy, but to also bring spicy sauce to table. Neither happened without, once again, seeking out a waitress. Sadly, even then, at two attempts--their standard 3-dish sauce tray and a "spicy oil," the heat was still elusive. Both diners were quite underwhelmed at best. Being it was a celebratory dinner, we tried NOT to focus on the dismal service and food.
-- While holding out for the dessert to be as amazing as the menu picture, the plating did not disappoint. However, sadly, the taste did--undercooked black rice and generic mango ice cream.
>> Bottom Line: Sacramento has many other Thai restaurants worthy of your hard earned dollar. This establishment works in a pinch if "nearest vicinity" is the driving factor to patronize.
When I entered the restaurant, a customer was at the register indicating she had been waiting a long time and couldn’t wait any longer for her order. The owner came out and started yelling at the customer. It was shocking, watching a business owner yelling at a customer. the customer finally left but after she departed the owner return to the kitchen and continue to yell for at least a half an hour the unhappy customer had been gone for half an hour. I sat there and tried to eat my food that I was looking so forward to my stomach was getting so upset when my food finally came. I just couldn’t eat it, I paid for my food and I left and when I got home, the food was so spicy I couldn’t even eat it and I remember the owner yelled out my order to someone and it was my order because of what I had asked for the food was so hot I couldn’t eat it. My stomach was so upset who wants to go into a restaurant and listen to the owner yell for at least 30 minutes I asked my way to dear god is he ever going to stop and my waiter basically said no this is just how he gets .
As I was putting my food in the to go box the owner yelled that we don’t do miles. We do it one way spicy he was right so don’t tell customers they could have a mild say it’s either spicy or extra spicy. For those people who like their food extra spicy good for you however, sometimes food can just be so spicy that it’s not even comfortable to eat then add that the owner is yelling, horrible absolutely horrible.
ONION RINGS and Thai Iced Tea!
Can get busy on the weekend so reserve ahead. Pad Thai is a too sweet for my liking.
Great Thai food, excellent service, reasonable prices.
Parking is an issue but worth the effort.
Very disappointing. Food was tasteless. Staff was nice. It's a shame that the food was disappointing.
What a disappointment. Regularly have done take out over the last 3 years or so. In the last 5 or 6 months the food has taken a terrible turn. This last trip the Pad Thai was dry, the chicken was dry and tough, and the sauce was tasteless and almost nonexistent. The tofu was rubbery and absorbed no flavor. The limes were juiceless and the chicken egg rolls were just short of burned. That was my last trip here. Almost never get what I ask for without checking the order before I leave. This time was no exception. But people are very nice.
I ordered the Thai creamy coconut soup while I was there and got the grilled chicken with their special house sauce “to-go” and I gotta say this was the single best order of food I’ve had in my entire life. Absolutely delicious and a fantastic demonstration of how Thai cuisine should be. 10/10
The fish. That's it.. That's the comment. 🤩😍🤩😍
This place been having the same owner for ever! The owner is kind and nice and he trained his staff well. They will make you feel like your apart of there brand like if your going over to a family member house to eat. They listen I’ve been eating at this tai house for many years and not once have an order of mines was messed up. They’re roof is delicious. The drunken noodles are bomb! They have a spicy basil jasmine rice with extra extra jug and once you eat that you will never want to want to eat any other rice.
Always great every time I go!!!
Love this place. Pinapple curry was delicious!
I ordered the green mild spicy curry and spring rolls with peanut butter sauce, good location. I would have liked more curry, but I wish many Thai places would do that.
Ordered vegetarian dish, received chicken. Everything was unbelievably bland for Thai food even when spicy was requested. This was a total waste. Won’t be ordering again.
Very delicious. I ordered a soup to go.
I’m never one to write reviews but I got to die my favorite Sacramento Thai place! The best Pad See Ew with actually wide flat noodles, amazing Tom Kha soup, and service is always great! They also have a cute patio area for outside dining.
The dish that I ordered, crispy noodle, came out sour and salty. Not my liking. I only ate 1/4 of it. It came with veggies and choice of meat. There was barely any veggies, 2 pieces of snow pea, 4 baby corn, couple bamboo (I think), that's all I could remember. I was Disappointmented. Our waitress took forever to pick up our tab, it was not even a busy day, only 3 occupied tables. I had to waves down a different waitress to check us out. That's my last time I'm going there again. No tips from me that day.
Excellent customer service. Very clean. But curry was very underwhelming. More water than coconut milk and the ratio of meat to vegetables is at 4:1. Spice was on point though.
Edit: tried it out again. Even worse this time. It was like soup. Their good customer service can’t make up for this.
Delightful menu-quality food.
Always look forward to returning.
The food was excellent and the staff was very attentive even though short staffed. They were all putting in a great effort to attend to everyone. Highly recommend.
I just ordered food from this place. My entire order is burnt. The rice is burnt too. Bottom of the barrel. You lost our business. It's a shame as I was looking for another Thai restaurant as a backup. We order Thai once a week. I order from Phaya Thai all the time and they are generous with their portions. We just spent $60 on food that is not enough for 2 people. Spicy garlic shrimp, spicy eggplant, mild yellow curry. I hope the owners read this and fix this quality of food.
These folks have some of the most authentic and delicious Thai in Sacramento! We come here explicitly for Spicey Eggplant and Pineapple Fried Rice, but have recently discovered Green Curry and Thai Fried Rice as some other dishes to add to our favorites. The staff is courteous, clean, and prompt and we've never had a single bad experience! The owner is always around and does everything that he asks his staff to do, which is amazing to see.
Fantastic shrimp spring rolls and side salad. Service from my server Willy was fantastic!
Great locally owned place. Delicious curry and love the spicy basil stir fry. Great service and the owner is friendly and a kick to talk to.
Soup was high in salt and rest of food prep was just ok
Has always been good, have eaten there many times. Definitely recommend.
Such amazing food. So authentic and delicious. Pad Thai was absolutely amazing! Eggplant dish very delicious as well. Good customer service. Definitely a must if yoi like Thai food.
Delish food
Lovely wait staff
Conveniently located
The best yet! Large portion of meat and perfect amount of sauce.
Oh Wow ! 👍❤ Exceptionally delicious Thai food. Friendly staff that add a spark of joy to your day.
Thai food menus and flavors (recipes) change alot at every restaurant. That's good, because boring is not an option. If you want to try something a little different, just choose a different Thai restaurant.
But Thai House should be near the top of your list for the next meal to savor. I don't use the word savor, because it means slowly experiencing a delightful sensation. But, I found myself eating smaller bites to prolong my dining experience.
Eggplant is difficult for chefs to cook well. Without exception, Thai House cooked the most perfect and flavor-filled eggplant of any restaurant.
I hope my meals were not just wonderful kitchen accidents. I will definitely be back to find out. Although given my savoring experience, I may option to try a diversity of entrées.
Never let's me down
Great service every time I come here! Yeli- wonderful server. Thank you 😊
Good food, but the prices have skyrocketed. Cannot afford it anymore.
First time eating here, very good service, food was delicious. 👌🏼
Always delicious. My daughter swears they make the best pad-see-ew in the area. I love anything here and appreciate the menu.
Wow ! Best Thai food in town !!! Addicted
Shared tom kha soup w my roommate. It tasted bad and shrimp tasted bad.
Tom kha soup was terrible.
Outstanding, consistently my favorite Thai food. This is a chef, not just a cook.
Charming service staff.
Like salad? Wow, currently my favorite dressing.
Like Pad Thai? My favorite.
Like Fresh Spring Rolls? My favorite dipping sauce.
The umbrellas on the patio are awesome.
Dine-in open.
Chai Tea, very nice.
Would like a coconut creamy sauce to replace curry sauces. Curry is good, but I don’t like curry much. Not necessarily coconut, but a creamy sauce when not in the mood for curry.
I came in about 1:30pm and took a table outside, only two parties were finishing their meals on the outdoor patio. It took about 10 minutes for someone to step from the inside to bring me a menu. My dish, cashew nuts with tofu was OK but not warm enough. The other day I had a meal with the chicken and the meat was so so. My take: 3 stars.
Good food
Worset restaurant
My first time at this restaurant gave me customer service I have not experience in a long time! Despite face masks and the wind, Yeli and another person were so awesome to us! And the Thai tea rocks my world!! Thank you Thai House!🌈
I have been here multiple times! The food and costumer service is excellent. Staff members are polite and very helpful. The food alone will blow your taste buds into a whole other dimension. The Thai Tea is so addicting and sweet you'll have to try one everytime you come to Thai House Restaurant
Great food, friendly service and outdoor seating!
Amazing and my go to for thai food.
Love the Drunken noodles..
1. Our 1st time here because the restaurant I originally wanted to go was closed.
2. They took much longer than the time estimated but considering they were busy I let it slide.
3. When the food was finally done, they didn’t ask nor give us any forks or napkins (COVID-19 everyone is eating in their cars obviously due to “no dine in”)
4. When we got our order, the food was very bland. No flavor. Also the chicken in my egg rolls had a slight odor and tasted off so we tossed it. Then the chicken in the noodles tasted sour and had a bad smell so that was thrown away also.
5. Save your time and money. Go elsewhere for Thai food.
not a safe place to be during pandamic
Absolutely delicious food. Great kind and energetic staff and very reasonably priced. Their fried rice and mixed vegetable stir fry attempts delicious.
Great Thai spot.
Good and friendly
Best Thai food I’ve ever had.
Good tom yun and pad thai pork
Love this place and always my go to Thai restaurant. Their ingredients are so fresh and it isn’t bogged down with hella oil. Their pad Thai is literally No. 1 in my opinion.
Their egg rolls and chicken pad thai are some of my favorites, but all their food is exceptional! By far my favorite thai restaurant in Sacramento. Great lunch deals with good portions.
Fantastic!
Veggie curry dish was delicious
Nice place for thai food
Very delicious food! Will definitely come here again
To start they put meat in a non meat dish. Also the pad thai had no flavor, very dry. The packaging for take out wasnt smart, sauce got all over the place. Returned my food and luckily a refund but wont be returning. Vegans and vegetarians be careful as this place.
Hands down! Best guest experience I've had in a long time. Katelyn was my waitress she knows her menu and made great recommendations. (My 2nd time having thai) They were busy when I came in and I assume my order didn't get placed right way. When I tell you once they realized, they went above and beyond to make sure everything was amazing. Paul started to help and made sure I was enjoying everything. You can tell the owner really cares and will do anything hes able to do to make everything right! Highly recommend! Thanks for the great service while I'm here in California!
One of my all time favorite Thai restaurants. Service is excellent and prompt. You get that "family" feel to the place. It is a bit on the small side and I wish they would rotate a few new items on a regular schedule to keep the menu fresh but that is nitpicking.
Food always comes out consistent and delicious! Staff are always very friendly. Highly recommend Thai House.
The owner is the rudest person I’ve met. The waitresses are very sassy. Will not come back. I’d rather eat out of a garbage can. I’m willing to bet that the tips don’t even go to the workers
Se come delicioso y fresco
Drunken noodles are the best
The people are authentic
Love the food here.
Drunken noodles and Pineapple Fried Rice great
A great place for Thai food!
Great food. Best Thai tea

Pictured: pineapple fried rice, brown rice, spicy eggplant stir fry, spicy drunken noodle with prawns, vegan friendly pad Thai, chicken pot stickers.
Not pictured: Thai coconut soup, which my friend enjoyed
Their Thai food here always tastes great. I've been ordering from here for years. Would highly recommend the eggplant dish, but the curries are good as well.
This is the best Thai food ever the lady's are hot here too
I got my food and also observed that the environment-friendly curry is a little dripping ... not what I'm made use of to. I tasted pad see ew and also it was pretty excellent yet discovered the noodles is a little over chef but it was truly delicious. Bananas were a little tiny and it was a little dry.
This location offers really charitable proportions. The fried rice (vegetarian) was good, as well as the quantity of seasoning made it quite wonderful. The yellow curry was delicious. However, I can not give this place 5 celebrities. I did not mind the within - little, however it was adorable and also the tables were not too tiny, in my opinion. I guess I simply can not provide this place 5 stars due to the fact that there are better Thai restaurants in downtown Sacramento, for a less expensive price. This location is overrated.
My favorite Thai restaurant. Everyone there is friendly and their food is delicious!
Great waitress
Great, fresh tasting food. Friendly service and overall neighborly vibe!
Food is amazing
Everything was great. They even gave complimentary salads.
Great Thai food
Fantastic food
Best Thai! Love this place! My family and friends eat here often!
The food at this restaurant is great but the owner is obnoxious.. he yells at the servers and the cooks in front of everyone. He is a loud arrogant jerk. I would continue to eat here if he would stay home.. my last meal here was ruined by his yelling orders at the servers. So rude and unprofessional!
We have been regs here for about 6 yrs , it is as always clean , easy to get a table quickly, food is always good, great service, food is delivered quickly. We love this place and great prices. The food is really flavorful, they aren't afraid to use spices,
I've been to this restaurant a few times and each time the food has been amazing. Their staff are friendly, the service is great, there's nothing not to like! I'd highly recommend the Panang curry and the Thai iced tea. For those who need gluten free or vegan options there are actually quite a few and some that are not listed as such can be made that way easily.
Food iss delish! Had drunken noodles which were just the pique of spice on top of a little sweet, yellow curry was warming and soulful, and fried rice was clean and fresh. Service was friendly. Parking at Loehmans Plaza stinks, but the food at this place is worth driving around the lot a few times.
They made my food too spicy when i called back and asked for it to be remade like i asked "little spicy" (not EXTREMELY spicy) the manager refused. I had to pay for another plate with no spice. Greed before customer satisfaction is not good business.
The food is always good but a bit on the pricey side. We usually get the veggie pad Thai with beef. The shipping center can get a bit crowded so parking space can be a challenge.
Great Thai food!!!
This was my first time to this restaurant and I was very impressed. I did not know what to expect, since the atmosphere was average and simple. Don't let that detour you. The staff was very friendly and the food was amazing--good peanut sauce and pad-tahi. One of the cooks made many recommendations and said they can always customize a little if there is something you don't like in a dish. I will defiantly be going back... SOON.
We have been looking for a Thai place that is a bit closer to home. This place is fantastic. Great environment. Service is quality and prompt. Their menu selection is broad and reasonably priced. I love their Pad Thai. We highly recommend!!
Great food, excellent service and a casual light-atmosphere.
This place serves up some consistently great Thai food - I love the Pad Thai and the Drunken Noodles. Service is attentive and friendly, and always quick. The location is not huge, but the size of it adds to the experience.
Called 8:30pm on Sunday for a quick take out meal. Google and Yelp list place as open until 9:00pm. Was told kitchen is closed. Bummer! We took our money over to Bento Box (also in Loheman's plaza) and they were happy to sell us food!
I ordered Pad Thai to go. There wasn't any tofu nor shrimp in the dish. The noodles were short cut pieces and overcooked. I took a pic. of the dish.
"Always check your order before leaving the restaurant."
I wasted. $12. (Including tip)
Very good and quick service
Good and service always Great! Totally a must to visit!
The food here is great and everyone is extremely friendly.
Pricey but delish. I only had the pot stickers, so I know you can't go wrong with these. The place was not overly large,... was cozy but not small. Very clean.
Food is good. I find myself coming here almost everyday.
