Really disappointing downturn on food recently. I used to rave about this place, but the food has become bland and the level of care in preparation has decreased. I ordered a vegetarian dish and 40% of the dish was Taro. It was completely unspiced, and no direction on the level of hear was solicited. Also, maybe this is picky, but sake out of disposable plastic cups is tacky. I don't know if I'll come back after 2 years of consistent patronage. It's such a nice place too, it's very disappointing.
this spot is very much Thai comfort food, in a comfortable neighborhood spot. They were slammed when I went in with a big family order, but the staff were very accommodating. Very friendly, professional service. I’ve only had the tofu Pad Kee Mao and Thai Iced Tea thus far, but can’t wait to go back soon and try something else off their varied menu offerings.
Really close to where I'm staying visiting Sacramento and have eaten here twice. The foods amazing, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. On my second trip I had the crab fried rice, my friend bad the pork belly with broccoli Rabe and sticky rice. Both dishes were incredible. We tried the cold sake Mio and it is our new favorite! It was fruity, sweet but not too sweet! I wish this place wasn't so far from home, I'll miss it, and the vibes!
The menu is fairly typical for Thai cuisine. We were visiting from San Francisco where we have many great Thai restaurants. However, we found the food lackluster and disappointing. Service was adequate for this type of place but mediocre. A rice plate with stir-fry vegetables (tomatoes, onions, cucumbers, pineapples) is offered with chicken as one of a few protein options. The dish was barely acceptable. The chicken, cut in thin slices, then deep-fried resulted in a dry and chewy meal and the glazed sauce was so sweet it could be a dessert. Sadly and in contradiction to the menu description, the few veggies were sparingly added as an afterthought. I counted 4 slices of cucumbers and the rest was mainly onions. My partner ordered Pad Se Ew (rice noodles with pork and broccoli) which was much better but mostly noodles, and minimal pieces of broccoli. We waited quite a while for these two dishes, and none of the staff bothered to ask how the dishes were or if we needed anything.
I popped in for lunch recently. It’s been a long hot minute since I’ve dined here, over seven years ago. The place looks exactly the same. The food is pretty tasty but I’m no expert on Thai food. During peak lunch hour, buckle in… it’ll take awhile for your order.
The cashier spoke at the volume of a whisper. I told her I can’t hear her. She just repeated herself in the same tone and volume. I still had no idea what she was saying, so I just went on to tell her my order of Panang Nuer at the mildest version they can make it for dine in and asked for ice water. She told me the price, but again I couldn’t hear her.
The Panang Nuer is sliced beef in semi-spicy panang curry. The curry tasted like peanut butter and had a kicky spice level. I can take some level of heat. So if you can’t, I dont recommend getting this dish. Also the slices of beef were super thin. There were a few slices of red and green bell peppers. Those slices were also scarce and inconsequential. There was plenty of the liquid curry though. The curry was served with a side of white rice. The price was $16, there were no lunch special pricing. The curry was tasty just not hearty enough to fill me up. And it was an entree serving size.
(.*shout out to Ms. Sarina**) ... I am a long time lover of TC and could probably count on one hand the reviews I've ever taken time to do... but i am SO impressed with new face to SARINA i couldn't resist the urge to give feedback asap , she is a natural to say the least, truly a breath of fresh air... made me feel at home and was the epitome of hospitality thoroughly excellent!!✨️
This is our usual hang out spot with one of my girlfriend groups. We ordered several helpings of the Fried Pork with Sticky Rice. It's my favorite item on their menu. The pad Thai is tasty as well & easy to share since it's a large plate. Don't pass up the pork belly stir fry either. It's delicious over rice. Great snack type foods while chatting it up over Thai Iced Tea and Coffee.
It's a casual spot offering good food, beer & wine. Happy hour if offered as well. The manager is friendly and attentive, so is their staff.
There's a small patio with heaters. It is next to the alley with lots of foot & car traffic. Especially for food pick up & delivery services.
Parking can be challenging since it's in midtown with curbside parking. Often times, I circle around a few times before finding a spot.
This use to be the spot! But the food has changed. Pretty dissapointed cause I've been coming here for +10yrs and now this place is a complete dissapointment. Now I am looking for a new spot for Thai food.
Good Thai street style food. Good price and quick self service. Only thing is the limited street parking can be a challenge during peak hours.

If I can leave a zero star I would. They forgot one of my dish for my order. When the charge cleared on my account, they added an unauthorized tip. Do not go. Bad service and not genuine.

Best Thai food in Sacramento.
My meal was inedible. I like heat: I put ghost pepper sauce on my dinner almost every night. I don’t know what happened here. I ordered a medium spicy pad kee mao, and each bite felt like I was eating a whole Thai chili pepper. Not sure if the individual peppers were just spicy or if they somehow messed up the dish. I could only eat half the plate because my stomach started to hurt. I tried diluting the leftovers with rice at home and it didn’t work. I can feel the spice winding its way through my guts, something that’s only happened when I tried Hot One’s “The Last Dab” sauce. What’s worst is that the spice overtook any of the flavor of the dish.
Very plain food. Nothing special. Nice staff.
Good food, good service. The crispy tofu was awesome.
I’ve been eating at Thai canteen for years at the Davis and Sacramento ones. The Davis one definitely never disappoints. Recently the standard of the Sacramento one has gone down so much. The food is horrible. I’ve been buying from them the past few months, all the time, the rice is dry, hard and uncooked. The chicken entrees like number 8 has lesser sauces and the chicken pieces were too big. I ordered them spicy and it came not so spicy and not much sauce coupled with bad rice. It felt like eating hospital food. I’m never coming here again. I’ll stick to the one in Davis.
The food was good. I enjoyed it.
This place used to have some of the spiciest food around. They must have gotten in trouble because now, ther s barely any spice to their Thai spice
Food was fire
Really bad Thai food. You want a dish with peanut sauce? Be prepared for an entire jar of peanut butter dumped on your plate. I like peanut butter, but not a whole damn jar emptied on my food.
Great food fast service
the area is terribly dirty, unclean. Table tops are sticky and not clean. I have been waiting for the food for almost 20 minutes. The food still hasn't arrived. The saleswoman who spoke to me seemed not to understand anything, even though I spoke English. In short, I will not use your place again and I do not recommend it to people.
When my wife and I went up to the counter to order our food and drinks, we were told that we had to pay a mandatory 20% tip. The reason they gave us is that it is their policy when there are six or more people in a party that we must pay 20%. This is a self service restaurant, which means no waiting staff to take your order or wait on you. We met two other couples there but each couple were planning to order and pay for their own food and we were planning to sit together at one of the benches. But for this restaurant we each were required to pay 20% gratuity for just taking our order by the cashier. This is really getting ridiculous. We all walked out and went next door to the Peruvian restaurant where we gladly agreed to pay the 20% gratuity because we had a great waitress that was very attentive and provided us with great service throughout our meal.

Their food is good.
I have only ordered delivery and the curry portion is TINY, very small portion.
Also they forgot my two Thai ice teas and when I called they said it’s ok to let them know next time I order.
I called today to order and the staff made a huff and puff, passed me around on the phone said sorry we have to ask our manager. Personally I would have just added two Thai iced teas they forgot on their last order, it’s only $4.50, it’s not such a big deal to have to call a manager. It’s very very poor customer service. Especially for a regular.
Been coming to this place since the grand opening. Haven’t dined-in in awhile and the first noticeable thing is the service and just the overall atmosphere. You can tell when someone just stop caring about their business. Tables were dirty and sticky, chairs and tables outside are wobbly and haven’t been wiped down. People working there have zero customer service. Dude in the front was literally looking down the whole time without eye contact and we had no idea if he was waiting on us to order or not. When we went to go get ice there was literally no ice left. So we were left drinking warm water. Quality of the food and Portion size was ok but was overly sweet.
By far the best Thai restaurant in Sacramento. I drive 40 minutes from Roseville just to eat here. Great food and great atmosphere. Highly recommend trying this place
Worst service ever
Ordered pad Thai with tofu and fried rice with tofu. The tofu tasted very sour so didn’t even finish the food but still got food poisoning. Been having diarrhea today both my friend and I are having same symptoms and that was the only thing we ate last last night. Moreover the service was so slow waited over an hour for this spoiled food. Avoid at all cost!
For the first time being, I have to give this establishment a grade A. The food was fresh in hot and came out within 10 minutes. Keep in mind it wasn't rush hour when I went. The server was excellent, offering help and suggestions. They have indoor and outdoor seating; the establishment looks small, but its spacious inside. I enjoyed the Thai tea, would choose that every time over anything in the bar. Yeah, they even have a bar... Give Thai Canteen a try; you won't regret it. The meals are fulfilling with a laid-back atmosphere. Oh, they have a TV too, I know right. Thanks for reading, cool person
Food is good service is pretty bad. Ordered and paid for a second beer never got it.

I placed a to go order for pick up. Once I got home, I found out that two of my dishes is not what I ordered. They also left out a $14 dish but still charged me for it. This was my first time eating here and it will be the last. Been to lots of Thai restaurants, and this one is by far the worse, not only with taste, but service as well.
I decided to stop by here at midnight since it was the only place open. I was greeted by a very rude girl at the front who doesn’t understand directions. I mentioned several times about my poultry allergy yet she recommended me a “tofu” dish with chicken inside. This makes me very concern about the qualifications of the employees here. The two star is for the atmosphere convenience.
This place always hits the spot and caters to the late night crowd of Sacramento. I highly suggest #27 the drunken noodles
I don’t know how you guys can mess up an order. Waited for almost 1 hour for my Togo meal and didn’t come with it suppose to be

Ordered the yellow thai curry, medium heat pad thai, pineapple fried rice and the garlic fried rice and pork and let me tell you. We are in Heaven! We're from reno but staying in the area for a little and visit regularly and I will be ordering all of this over again. We were so pleasantly surprised with how good the quality of the food is!
Їжа смачна але все дуже гостре а так все добре 👍
Атмосфера на 3⭐️
A friend from work told me about this place and they did not meet my highly anticipation. I ordered garlic fried rice and it was dry and some of that rice were hard to eat. I felt they gave me the bottom of pot that was burnt. The Thai pad noodles was tasteless and sour I couldn’t eat it. However, the curry soup was very delicious. Maybe it was the cook on duty when I ordered me but I’m not going back there again. Also, the bathroom does not have a lock inside, literally you can be using the bathroom and someone might push it open. I was horrify.
It’s cheap and always available, just how I like my
Ah, the great Thai food adventure of 2024 – a culinary quest not for the faint of heart or the sensitive of palate. In our effort to embrace the flavors of Thailand, we ordered the 'medium' spice level. Now, for those uninitiated in the art of Thai spice roulette, 'medium' is apparently code for 'Let's ignite the unprepared diner's mouth on fire.' We chose the Panang curry. Little did we know, 'medium' in this context was a euphemism for 'We forgot to mention we measure our spices on the scale of impending doom.' There's spicy food that gives you a gentle kick, spicy food that makes you break a mild sweat, and then there's the kind of spicy that has you reconsidering all your life choices up to that moment – the Panang curry falls into this last category. It's the culinary equivalent of a prank war, where the kitchen clearly has the upper hand. The irony wasn't lost on us when the other dishes, also ordered at a 'medium' spice level, turned out to be as mild as a Scandinavian summer – a confusing inconsistency that adds to the thrill of the Thai dining experience. It's as if the chefs are back there, rolling dice to decide the fate of your taste buds. So, if your idea of a good time involves playing gastronomic Russian roulette and ensuring the dairy industry stays afloat with your sudden increase in milk consumption, then by all means, dive into that medium Panang curry.
Great spot for late night grub
Tasty!!! Such good flavors and they really know their Thai heat. Their ice tea is perfect for a hot day
Very friendly when picking up my order, had it ready and hot. I always order "medium" spice level when trying a new place to make sure that I can taste the food and judge the heat level. The food was very good, and man oh man did the heat come on! Definitely more on the hot end of the spectrum but no complaints from this heatonist. Already plotting my next trip.
A coworker and I had a break, and we both had some errands. So we went in my friend's car and finished our errands and she suggested Thai Canteen. It was right next to where we both get our hair cut, and I had somehow not eaten there. The chicken yellow curry was near perfection.
I find it hard to accept that I had not eaten there! That will be rectified!
Walked in, got in line, the person running orders (not the one taking orders) looked past me to the person behind me got them their order, ran an in person order then acknowledged me. Then informed me they my order “didn’t print” from the online order I made. Even though it was placed over 30 min ago. Had to wait, lame. This is the 2nd time coming. First time was fine. Nothing to write home about, very middling.

rude wait staff
Excellent food, decent prices, and very fast service. Also, they were able to accomdate my gluten-free diet.
Great late night Happy Hour menu!
Pad Thai for $10 and it was a good sized portion and very tasty. Also got the spicy wings and they were a tad spicy and sweet and were delicious! Highly recommend this spot in Sacramento, and it's open until 1am.
Best authentic Thai food I’ve ever had in Sacramento. Love that the cooks in the back were all Thai.
Ordered the curry fried rice , when it was delivered the rice mush and they forgot the chicken. When I tried to call there was no answer
I cannot get enough!! The food is delicious!! Flavorful, large portions. Well worth the money. I'm addicted! 4th week in a row I'm reaching out to get more. Pad Thai and Pad Kee Mao are the favs in our house. Timely service, well packaged. No issues on our 4 deliveries from this restaurant. I get the Pad Thai, my son gets the Pad Kee Mao. Both of us have left overs for the next day they reheat and taste as good as the day before. He likes spicey food and says the medium spice is perfect. I am a spice baby - zero for me and it's still very flavorful. 10 Stars if I could.
This place was super delicious. The duck rice plate was gerh good and flavourful.
Tom yum had great flavor but it was too sweet. I didn't like it sweet. Fried pork was good but they changed the dipping sauce. I don't like the new taste. This isn't my favorite place to eat any more.
Open late. Very busy.
Love the hours of operation.
First time I got pad si ew and they didn’t put any sauce. Really dry. Second time I asked for extra noodles and no extra noodles were included. I was charged extra too.. the one in Davis is a lot better
Prices went up and portion of the plates got smaller. Foods good tho
It’s a pretty average place. Foods not particularly amazing but also not bad. The service is pretty bad. They’ve got the slowest, arguably incompetent, people working there. They always mess my order up. Every single time I order for pick up I request silverware and they always forget it. There have actually been multiple times they couldn’t figure out how to charge to my card. They don’t do anything right or particularly well. Really only come because it’s the closest thai place to me, though I’d actually be better off making the drive or bike ride literally anywhere else.
I walked into the Thai Canteen yesterday afternoon, hoping to pick up a bite to eat and take home with me. As I was deciding what to order on the unfamiliar huge menu wall, the young man at the counter handed me a takeout menu and told me, “It would be easier this way,” as his attention went to a couple who came in right after me, so I sat down at a table to choose.
I noticed that the man greeted the counter person in a language other than English while they stared at the menu, as I had been moments before. They were told to “take your time.”
As I was ready, I walked back up to the counter, and told the counter person my order, I was told to, “Wait. I’m helping them, first.”
Flabbergasted, I placed the menu down on the counter, and walked out. I guess I wasn’t the customer type he was interested in serving. He stood there, waiting for them to choose, ignoring me! Too bad for me. And now, too bad for Thai Canteen.
It was fast service.
I really liked this place. I came here despite some of the reviews because it's one of the rare open late places left in sac and I love some late night grub being someone who gets off at 11pm. The food was very fairly priced considering the portions, the quality and the service. I see a lot of people complain about the prices and I've had A LOT of Thai food and felt that it was very fair especially for the quality. First time I've ever liked sticky rice with mango. Most of the staff were very kind and courteous. Despite being busy they kept an eye on us and checked in multiple times. The ambiance was fun. I love this place I will be back.
The food is amazing. The staff is great
Good food, great price!
This food should not be advertised as Thai in any way. The food is edible but definitely not close to what you’d expect.
Just moved to the area and found this place. Good spot to grab some late night Asian food.
Best Thai food in Sac for sure.
We came in 20 min before close and they wanted to refuse us service. We said we would be quick and would they make an exception since they didn't close for another 20min. Begrudgingly they did but after they took our order we never saw them again. I never want to hurt a small business but I would encourage you to stay open in accordance with the hours posted.
My review is limited since I only ordered two items from the snack. The salt and pepper calamari was decent, there isnt much I can say about it. While the fried chicken wings was disappointing. There aren't any kind of seasonings on the chicken. I could taste the farm the chicken from it.
These guys take pride in their food. The shrimp were all nice and clean. Pad Thai was delicious and made me change my mind about Thai food. I’m just impressed because whoever cooked my food is very clean and I’m a picky person who sometimes hesitates eating out because of cleanliness.
Used to like this place, but a recent experience really turned me off on recommending it. Showed up on less busy afternoon and the kitchen was way behind and swamped. That would have been ok if they had mentioned it, but the wait staff did not. I’m a pretty patient person, in fact I waited around 45 minutes (in person) for my order. During that time multiple other customers came up asking nicely for money back, their drinks, trying to figure out why their to in person order came in to go boxes, etc.
Meanwhile, door dash orders were filled promptly, leaving in person customers to suffer. The staff and manager acted indignant when I wanted to cancel my order, blaming the kitchen. There was visible confrontation between the kitchen staff and the front house over the issue.
I canceled my order and took my business to Thai Orchid a block down. They filled my order promptly and had much cooler AC to boot.
My friends and I come here at least once a week after taiko (Japanese drumming) practice, and it's a pretty solid pick most nights. They also have a location in Davis.
The food is pretty consistent in quality, and the happy hour (and happier hour) prices are really nice. I usually get the happier hour Pad Thai. The spice they add really varies, regardless of what you specify (mild, medium, hot, Thai hot)
Service can be hit and miss. On some days, they will be very attentive to the tables, but on other days, it can take up to an hour for food. Sometimes they warn you while you're in line, sometimes they don't. I don't hold that TOO much against them, since this is also a popular place for online and delivery orders.
The atmosphere is very nice and versatile. It's a nice place that you could go out to for a meal in the middle of the day, or a meal before/after hitting the nightclub.
Pad thai(mild) : bland taste, beef overcooked, level 0 amounts of spiciness, dissappointed for it being a Thai restaurant.
The peanuts were nicely crushed.
Pineapple fried rice(also mild!): Not bland, but edible. Still no spicy to be found. Also, if I'm going to pay 14$ for pineapple fried rice, the least they can do is make pineapple fried rice.
Not just make fried rice and add a couple chunks of pineapples, they also taste like they were canned pineapples.
You know when you order mango sticky rice and they infuse the essence of mango onto the rice and it has such a beautifully soft texture ?
They didn't do that with the pineapple fried rice. 🥲.
UPDATE:
The crew has always been good to us but they now have some new crew members and a new manager who are all FANTASTIC! They had really good customer service and even entertained us !! Shout to the new crew we met, Josh, Tyler & Ben ! You guys rock !!! Josh kept us entertained, Tyler checked up on us frequently and Ben was nice. We really appreciated all of your great customer service !!!
BEST PORK BELLY I EVER HAD !! GET THE PORK BELLY PLATE AND YOU WON’T REGRET IT !!
Pretty much everything on the menu is good !!
ITS A MUST TRY ! Never a disappointment!!
Always great!
Delicious and good services 👌
They add an 18% tip for themselves even if you are eating by yourself. just a warning. Shady practices like this need to stop
BEWARE: This place recently implemented a mandatory 15% tip even though it was just me. If your food costs more than usual, ask for an itemized receipt. It's scummy to use this without notifying customers
This place has excellent food and service BUT they recently implemented a sketchy (b/c it's hidden) 18% automatic dine-in fee to your order! They don't give itemized receipts, so you'd never know. They also still have the option to tip when paying, so one would never know that they had already tipped 18%!
For this reason, I will be going elsewhere. It's a shame that Thai Canteen has begun doing this.
This is the best pad Thai I have had in a long time! I was there on a Sunday evening, which isn't a busy time for restaurants, and the place was hopping. Don't expect to get your food fast, the kitchen is busy. The food is pretty spicy. My medium level order had a good kick to it.
Food so good!
Thai Canteen is an outstanding Thai restaurant, an authentic gem of a dining experience. The cuisine is simply irresistible with dishes that embody the traditional tastes of Thailand, curated with sublime skill by master chefs and served up fresh for patrons to savor.
One of the highlights, of this already stellar eatery, is the turnip cake dish, which is an explosion of flavors with every bite. The dish is a marvel of culinary texture and exquisite taste, cooked to perfection and epitomizing the essence of traditional Thai fare.
Thai Canteen excels where many other restaurants fall flat, by serving consistently delicious dishes every single time. The quality of the food is simply unmatched, and is reason enough for patrons to come back time and again. The dedication to producing tantalizing meals, always served with attention and care, has clearly paid off.
But the restaurant's charm runs deeper than the impressive culinary offerings. Whether it's an early meal or a late night snack, Thai Canteen's extended hours let night lovers indulge in trays almost at any time of the day. This welcoming Thai diner has truly become a community institution, with regulars and visitors alike taking solace in its fabulous Thai cuisine and beneath its warm environs, making Thai Canteen an experience, not just for dining, but for the unforgettable moments created there.
Was good. The staff is pretty nice. Had the curry chicken #4 was good. Be careful the medium hot is a beast. The pad Thai was probably my favorite. Very good. And also had the beef soup, good taste, not a fan of the beef balls but over was pretty good. The coke was kinda meh so maybe not. The Thai tea was 💣.
Got the Green Papaya Salad today. It was pretty good, a little heavy on the lime juice. What I didn't expect to have wedges of Lettuce (which I can't eat) under the papaya shreds. Don't think I've had that happen before. My friend got the Garlic Rice n Pork specialty... very tasty!
Shady. My second time here I was charged $26.10 the first time and this time I was charged $31. It was exact same order. At least let the customer know.
I got the #5 with taro fries and Thai iced tea. It was soooooo good
This is my favorite Thai spot in Sac. I'm a huge fan of the tom kha soup and I've made it a point to try every restaurant's version of it. This place does the best one hands down. Wings are good, pad thai, panang curry all great. Keep up the good work guys 🤌
Been coming here for years since my buddy recommended it. Great service and fantastic food.
This is my third time eating here. My first experience was great big portion lots of flavor. My second time not so great but I assumed they were just having an off night. Third time I ordered the garlic rice with fried pork I asked for extra eggs, extra pork and extra garlic butter because my second time ordering wasn’t pleasant. I also ordered the PAD SI EW that the cooks couldn’t come to an agreement about so they brought out PAD THAI NOODLES and asked would that be okay. I didn’t receive any of the extras that I requested and the fried pork was so dry and hard with a lot of fat. As explained I’m pregnant and my craving was not for pad Thai noodles. Every time I order my food I ask for the spice on the side. The food was so hot I couldn’t even enjoy it. I’ll be calling or going back up there when they open. I ordered my food to go, had I know when I was at the restaurant I would have asked for every penny back. Not to mention the manager did say his cooks are walking out on them so not sure if you want to eat here if they cooks don’t want to work there. I’d find a new place to get good Thai food this place is going down hill and fast.
Late night delicious eats vegan Gluten free options available. I had the yellow curry with a thicker coconut sauce base which is my favorite. Great job Thai Canteen!
They are not playin' good af.
LOVE this place! I have tried almost every single thai place in Sacramento and then I found this place. I would order here almost everyday for lunch and dinner the entire time I went to Sac State. Never had a problem with service, everything on the menu is delicious (yes i’ve tried almost everything, pad kee mao was my favorite), not too expensive, and is in a really nice part of Midtown! Check it out
Ordered red curry with a side of rice at 12am. Curry was fresh and steaming. Peppers on the side. Rice... rice was still soft. Superb
Cute canteen style thai restaurant in downtown open late. Very busy for late night, food was good but the drunken noodles were overcooked and slimy. We asked for replacement noodles and they obliged, but the replacements were also overcooked. The servers were nice but too quiet and we had a hard time placing and confirming our order over the noise in the restaurant.
I’m giving zero stars for horrible customer service, you don’t pick up your phone for a pick up order 45 minutes before closing, I get you guys probably want to leave but a to go order is going to hurt anyone, plus it’s mad disrespectful to let the phone ring and hang up the phone one a customer 40 times. You can at least pick up and say “I am sorry we are no longer taking orders at the moment”
Open late!

Love this place, never had anything I didn't like. Don't miss the turnip cakes dish...not something you are going to get most places and it's delicious!
Bomb food! Best Garlic fried rice with pork belly!!! Price is reasonable! Good ambience and very friendly staff ♥️ Disclaimer : their heat levels are legit compared to some other thai restaurants so be careful 🫶🏼
Food is great, very authentic, fresh, and comes out piping hot. There's not much more to say if you like thai, you gotta try!! Wish the place was bigger but not a big make or break..
My go to place for Thai food in sac
I was really craving drunken noodles and this place seemed popular. I was originally glad to see that the restaurant was busy, however, that also meant that I waited over 30mins for a single dine-in dish. The portion for one was family sized, I would have liked a bit more sauce, and the noodles were a tad over cooked.
This place has great food, fantastic staff, and a fun atmosphere for a night out of dining. I will be going back again soon.
My food was great! However, it was a little on the bland side. My daughter item was very tasty and great! Overall, very delicious and yummy.
So good! And fast service!
Tasty Thai food, quick service.
My favorite is the pork belly dish. The curry dishes are good too but all dishes should be a bigger portion for their price. My experience has been great but my brother had food poisoning. Now, I'm a bit hesitant to eat here. I really like all the different spice condiments they have pre-packed and available. The smashed Thai chili pepper is spicy and delicious. They also have fish sauce with diced Thai chili peppers.
Food is terrible
Cute little Thai place in Midtown by Sacramento. Love the casual almost brewery vibes here.
Food was great and they don’t shy on the spice! Forgot to photograph the Pad Thai, but our group was just craving the basics today and got plates of that as well as the crab fried rice. The medium spice level was fragrant and present throughout the entire dish even if you feel the need to pick out the chilies so if you can’t handle things too spicy I’d go one level below your usual! Servings are big!
Order at the front and they bring out the food to you, water and lemons on self serve. Staff were super friendly.
Plenty of street parking but you might need to walk a tad if you don’t find any out front of the restaurant.
Awesomeness and happening spot on a Wed and super crowded at 10pm.
I had the Tom yum and we had the stir fry. I also had a Thai tea 🍵. It was very good.
Updated Review: Used to be 5star quality, dropping it now to 4. Delivery orders from DoorDash have been lackluster. When ordered for delivery/takeout, we received Kana Moo Grob that was mostly fat and end pieces. I believe the same attention should be given to the quality of takeout orders as is given to dine-in.

Excellent food and service. Thai tea is great. Love their happy hour (3-6pm every day and 9pm-close Tues-Sat). Get the sake and small plates!
Some of the BEST THAI FRIED RICE IN TOWN. Absolutely love this place. Prices are good, food is good, and they actually make spicy...spicy.
100% recommend their crispy shrimp app, Thai fried rice (doesn't matter what you get), and or their crispy pork belly with Chinese broccoli!
One can never go wrong eating here!!!! The food is delicious!
Thai canteen is a cool lunch spot. I always order the pork belly with Chinese greens it’s soooo freaking delicious! The shrimp pad Thai is also very good.
The menu is not like the typical Thai restaurants it has a smaller menu with a modern flare.
I keep forgetting to take pics it’s probably because I’m always so hungry when I get there I have no time for that Lol.
Def would recommend looking for some goodness during the lunch rush or just hanging out.
Ok, so just a word of warning, I had to ask for my food spicy for it to taste right, but I had pad prikh king from here spicy with chicken and it slapped! Medium spicy ain't near enough, tho so be warned.
Good service, friendly employees, and tasty entrees.
Best Thai in Sacramento hands down, best service, the vibe is awesome. My Lady and I will always choose this spot over every other Thai spot everytime.
