Clean restaurant, delicious food, and friendly service! Really, what more could you ask for???

Best pad Thai I ever had in my life. I love the crunch of the fresh green beans and mung beans sprouts. Wow.

I also loved the curry ramen that they made vegetarian for me.

Trying here the first time. Food was good. The place is cozy ans small no waiting needed. We had 5 people at the time. We order the tum yum and we ask to make for 5 people and the waitress is ok for that. We went ahead and order few more items from the menu with the regular prices but didn't realized they went ahead and upscale to 5 people in all order without telling us. At the end, the bill came out few items that we had order regular was charged for the upscale that we didn't asked. The group wasn't happy with the charges. They need to tell us what they plan to charge from what was from the menu. They can't went ahead and charge something that we didn't ask for. But overall foods is good 👍.

Super friendly service. The person that was in charge of our table was so nice. The food was really good (and spicy), they even have the street food style fried pork. Soo good and addictive with the tamarind sauce. The papaya salad was delicious as well. The curry tasted super authentic with the right spices, not too coconutty. I think this is now one of my favorite Thai spots in Sacramento and need to come back and try their other items.

New Thai pop up restaurant, was good experience, I asked the owner Apple if they had mango salad, they didn't have it on the menu but she said she will make it just for me. And it came out delicious, we suggested her to add to the menu. The food was well presented and delicious, I was too full to try their dessert but will be going back for mango sticky rice dessert next time. The drink was very nicely done too. Love the interior design, open concept with high ceilings, makes the restaurant feel very spacious, neat, clean and modern. Will be going back.

The service is excellent, they’re nice and friendly. We got boat noddle, crab fried rice, ramen, takoyaki, karaggke chicken fried and I love them all.

Food are good portion for the price. Everything tasted good. Love the chicken red curry and pad Thai. Papaya is also good. If you love boat noodles, this is one of my fav places for that also.

Thai ice tea was pretty good. We also ordered the curry ramen,love the flavor and the service was good! Pad see ew was too salty and we don’t recommend the Karaage chicken.

Pipo is amazing! We love their curry ramen and pad see ew, both with tofu. The restaurant is clean and pretty to be in. The service is kind and quick. And the food is unique and delicious. Definitely a favorite spot 💕

Beef pad thai and curry ramen were bomb. Crispy chicken with fried rice topped with the various chili vinegar/fish sauce condiments was yum! I cant wait to go back and try other things!!

Delicious, well-presented food. menu has plenty of options- Thai, Japanese, and some fusions of both. generous portions. open and airy space, very clean bathrooms. the owner is friendly and welcoming, we enjoyed speaking with her. Appreciate this is a local family owned place. Will definitely be back :)

This place is a gem..The food is packed with flavor. I got yellow curry and chicken basil. I am happy I found this place. No more driving to My Thai. Pipo is better( my opinion).

Cute if somewhat eclectic Thai spot that does ramen. I had the khao soi ramen, pad Thai, and pad Kee Mao. Everything was excellent! The ramen noodles were springy, the egg yolk was perfectly seasoned and jammy, and the broth was mildly spicy. Beware the spice levels here, as even a spice level of 1 will have a small kick, so if you are sensitive to spice, let the server know. My wife has a soy allergy and the staff/owner were very attentive to her needs and made sure her food was safe. Will definitely return!

Hands down my favorite Thai restaurant in NorCal. Everything I’ve tried here has been delicious. I’m always craving their pork belly. 😋

The food was great, but waiting time for taking orders is way too long. Hopefully, they can get more helper!

Party of eleven went in and was treated horrible. Two ordered were missed and they decided to ignore making it and serving the other customers. Server never came around to refill tap water. Request for a refill four times and both the server and the lady waved us off just standing there. Mind you it was not super busy either, As they took care of all the others first working on their time and not the customers. It was a rude experiences and will not return.

The best pork belly basil in town

Ramen comes to mind when the weather is cool and raining! Ever since I heard Pipo Ramen & Rice is on the Top 100 Places to Eat in Sacramento, I have been wanting to try this place. It's located in South Sacramento, off 65th Street, in this quiet plaza with plenty of parking.

We came here for dinner a little before 6:00 pm on weekdays, and we were the only customers. The place is clean, tidy, and spacious with a high ceiling. We sat down and were given the menu and water right away. At first, I thought this was a Japanese/Ramen restaurant because of the name. After looking at the menu, it turns out it's a Thai restaurant. Either way, I enjoy both Japanese and Thai food.

I love duck, so I immediately knew I wanted the Crispy Duck Fried Rice. I was surprised that the duck breast was served on top of the basil fried rice, instead of diced and cooked together with the fried rice. I really like that because I can see what part of the duck I'm eating. It's also delicious! The duck was crispy and savory. The basil and Thai seasoning add unique flavors to the fried rice. Generous portion. I would definitely get this again. 5/5

We also got the Tonkotsu Ramen. It's your typical ramen with the standard toppings and ramen egg (ajituske tamago). The broth is creamy and not too salty. It really is perfect for the rainy weather. 4/5

I came here and grabbed a few things to go for the first time and I’m obsessed! Wish I had known about them sooner. Walking in I was surprised because it’s actually really nice inside, modern design, high ceilings, spacious. I ordered the soft shell crab curry ramen, and the seafood Tom yum ramen. While I was waiting for my ramen I had asked what the Mango Pipo drink was, and the guy helping me just made me one to try, he was so nice! The food portions are good for the price, and everything was so fresh and flavorful. The broth for both soups were so rich and had really good depth of flavor. The textures of the ramen and the seafood were perfect too. I think this place is going to be my new fixation.

Food is so good, best Thai boat noodles in the house. Service is great. Owner comes by and see if everything is OK, which it is always is. The atmosphere is bright and lovely. Definitely number 1 in my heart for 5 star quality everything. I've been here on multiple occasions and owner is always happy to accommodate me and my party.

Great food and service!

My wife and I wanted some Ramen and tried this place for the first time. It was an absolute pleasure to eat here!! 🤩 We will absolutely eat at this restaurant again. We ordered a Chicken Curry Ramen and a Miso Chicken Ramen. The Curry had a bite to it, but a good bite with spices. The Miso was a very tasty milder Ramen. The atmosphere was very relaxing and modern. I would definitely give this restaurant a perfect 10 out of 10. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

First time there. We ordered curry ramen, shoyu ramen, tom yum ramen, pork belly, gyoza and thai tea. Everything was delicious. Will definitely return. Friendly service.

Amazing food here! Best of both Thai curry and Japanese ramen worlds. A great fusion. The owner was so accommodating, friendly, and attentive during our visit. It felt and tasted like we had been transported back to Thailand. Great value as well - the potions are huge! We will definitely be back.

I ordered soft shell crab Pad Thai which is very delicious. Most of the Pad Thai I had was too sour, but this one is very yummy. Kids ordered the Shoyu ramen, they like it too. Will come again.

Although this is a ramen restaurant, I was surprised to find they also served Thai food. I tried their boat noodles and it was delicious. Perfectly seasoned. Good portion. This will now be my place for boat noodles! I can’t wait to go back and try more dishes on the menu.

Waiter named Bom was very nice. I had yellow curry and it was just how I ordered it (mild, 1 spice level). Food came really fast. I hate loud restaurants but it wasn't too loud.

Owner is awesome! We’ve been here about 5 times and each time impressed with the quality of the dishes. The crispy pork is a highlight although we’ve also enjoyed the ramen and curry here. Portion size is definitely a little smaller compared to other local joints but the food quality is undeniable.

My top favorite place to eat at whether it’s for lunch or dinner. I come here very often and established a relationship with the owners as a regular customer. I always recommend this place to all my friends and family. Really a hidden gem, I love the boat noodle here! Thank you Bom & Apple ❤️

The food was delicious 😋! A must dine restaurant. I've been wanting to go there for a while now and finally was able to go on Mother's Day, the best decision because everything we ordered was delicious!

Nice little hidden gem for the local area. We can't here will little expectation. We actually thought it was a typical ramen shop but We were really impressed. We aren't expecting it to be a Thai Japanese fusion. That said, they nailed it. The food is really good. We got the pipo ramen which is a must try. Crispy duck fried rice was excellent and the pat Thai what was good but not stellar. Drinks were good. Thai coffee was nicely balanced. Similar to Vietnamese but not as strong and has a week balanced flavor. Lastly their green Thai is tea was really good! Nicely balanced flavor. Not too sweet.

Good but not five star good. Miso ramen came wth lots of goodies, but the broth wasn't as savory as what you get at really good Japanese restaurants. Kaarage chicken was light and tasty.

As someone who has ate at numerous ramen restaurants in Sacramento, I can confidently say that this is, without a doubt, the finest ramen spot in the city (in my opinion). Definitely a 5-star restaurant! Food was delicious. Best takoyaki in town! The soft crab curry ramen was very flavorful :) The owner also gave us his newest concoction of a matcha green tea pandan drink - free of charge. Very kind. Wonderful customer service. Pipo is unique in that it has Thai & Ramen both! I stopped in for a quick lunch in between meetings and was very happy with the food, service, and pricing. For spicy lovers, you can adjust your level and spicy actually means spicy here. Their Thai tea selection is excellent as well. If you want to support a local small business run by a wonderful family, then this place is definitely worth a stop!

BEST ramen I’ve had! I had the curry ramen with crispy pork belly. I added the pork belly to the soup and it was delicious! I asked for extra noodles and it was enough for lunch the next day. The owner or manager was so nice! He gave me a free soda! Definitely coming back!!

I ordered the soft shell crab ramen. There was a whole fried crab on top and amazing broth flavor. The egg was also cooked perfectly which I always appreciate. I rarely review places but this was just so good.

This place is sooo nice!! Very Clean , the service is amazing, the bathroom is very clean. I don’t sit at many restaurants to eat because they give me dirty vibes but here? The kitchen and the floor looked clean. THE FOOD Was amazing !! Recommend the Octopus Takoyaki, yellow curry, and The Pad Thai.

Truly 5 Stars!! Our waiter was the owner.. Always smiling! He really made me feel like he was happy to serve us. I've never eaten anywhere ( except for Green Jade in Carmichael when Louie was still the owner ) where I felt our server was genuinely happy to serve us..
Next was the atmosphere. The interior design was pleasant to me.. I really enjoy places that have creativity built in..

Last but not least, the food was awesome! Tasty with no grease on the plate, & no lipglossy feeling on my lips after lol! The proportions are just the right amount too.

Overall I loved everything about Pipo & so did my family!

The best ramen I’ve had in Sacramento! Apple and her husband are very sweet and pleasant to talk to, they were even nice enough to give us a complimentary dessert just for trying them out. Everything is made with care and we plan on coming back many times.

It was great! The ambience was great and the owners were great. They were very forthcoming about what was tasty on the menu. My wife and I tried the Basil Crispy Pork belly with rice, tonkotsu ramen, and the chicken pad thai noodles. Food came out nice and hot. The colors were very vibrant and put together quite nicely.

The loss of a star.
Each were delicious but every item was off a taste. The pork bellies were fried too long and were a bit hard to chew. The color was getting close to burnt. There wasnt enough sauce and basil flavor from the dish.
The tonkotsu ramen had a really light taste to its pork broth. I prefer a hardy broth versus what they were serving and towards the middle, the broth had a seafood taste. Egg wasnt pickled too long which caused the egg taste saltless.
The chicken pad thai had just a bit of flavor after adding the peanuts and bean sprouts. The dish was lacking seasoning. Chicken wasnt salted too much as well.

All in all, I'd come back for the recommended items the owners recommended. Happy eats and enjoy!

Absolutely incredible! The friendliest staff and the food was so amazing. The Thai iced coffee is by far the best I’ve ever had (Thai coffee is my usual go-to). You will not be disappointed. I had the miso ramen and my husband has the Tom Yum ramen.

First time here. The Tom Yum Ramen was phenomenal! Like being back in Thailand with a twist. Scallops and Shrimp were cooked perfectly!

service and food were both amazing! the workers are super friendly and interacted with us lots since we were having trouble deciding on what to get (so much yummy looking food 🤤). delicious food, amazing service, definitely will come again. give them a visit if you have the chance!!

8/23/22 - Returned and tried new dishes, they are just as delicious as the others. Apple and Bob are awesome, and they cook the best local dishes hands down. Highly recommend.

The owner was very kind and accomodating to requests. I have never found a ramen that I have craved or been really impressed with, however Pipo changed that! Really good food, large portions, quality ingredients. I will be returning!

Expect to spend $10-20 per person.

They're a newer restaurant, and I live right around the corner. I popped in with a couple of friends for some ramen. They had lots of variety on the menu, and the owner is super sweet! Priced very well and of course i had to try the thai iced tea!

Services were good. Waitress was very friendly. This restaurant also has Thai food. Pipo tom yum Seafood ramen was very good. I wished my bowl of tom yum ramen look as good as shown on the menu, but it is not. Most of the dishes were very good. Some dishes are little pricey. I think this restaurant opened in the wrong location. For this kind of price, not sure if anyone around this area can afford it. Will come back again to try different dishes.
