It's worth the drive! The quality of the food is much higher Standards than others l've tried in the area. Must try Eggplant stir fry! If you're not an eggplant fan give this a try it may change your mind! Absolutely delicious @ Tom Kah soup is creamy and delightful. Great atmosphere and very nice owner
Great Thai place to try out!
Food: Fried wing, roti with curry, Thai style papaya salad, pad Thai, & steak salad. Portions! Great portions for a Thai place!
Ambience: Small but welcoming. Loved all the natural light that came in through the window.
Parking: Small. Would be hard if it was busy cause there are other shops & restaurants around.
Service: Quick & friendly.
Overall I really enjoyed it here. The food was good. I Don't really care for sweet pad Thai but I've had sweeter at other places...maybe Pad Thai is just not my thing. Liked the look & feel of the place & food was good but the best thing is their portions! Usually Thai restaurants give you so little for your buck that unless it's just you or you & a date, it's not worth going to when feeding a family. Usually a dish is like 2 small handful but here, it fills the whole serving plate!I would definitely come back here again.
Recommendation: Go! Definitely go check them out too!
Locate in a small strip mall, I found it hard to get in and out of. Also, minimum availability of street parking. The business is only 6 months old. However, the tables are beat up, scratched, and sticky.
They had a floor fan to cool the place down. The food was full of flavor, and the portions were large. The homemade spring rolls are full of lettuce, very well presented, however, not worth the money. The service is good and friendly. We will give them one more chance.
Wonderful food! We ordered a la carte: pad thai noodles with chicken, Thai fried rice with chicken, yellow curry with chicken, and the stir fried vegetables (no chicken😂). For appetizers, we shared egg rolls and spring rolls.
Everything was on point! Nothing negative. The fried rice was one of my favorites. Very tasty. Loved it with the yellow curry over it. The yellow curry was coconut milky goodness. No spice, which we looked for the kids. I'm sure you can order to the spice you like. The stir fried veggies came in a delicious sauce that went incredibly well over white rice. The pad thai noodles was okay. Not negative, but okay. The peanut sauce did the spring rolls was delicious.
Overall, wonderful place to get your Thai food fix. Definitely would come back and recommend.
This is some of the best Thai food in Sacramento but it is also the most expensive at almost $30 per dish before tax and tip. For two people ordering one appetizer (Thai spring rolls), two entrees (pad see ew with beef and papaya salad), and no drinks, it was close to $100 after tax and tip. Their food quality is worth it though. Everything tastes homemade! I also like that part where they present the check in a little metal bowl at the end. It’s classy.
CHARM THAI has delicious, tender chicken satay with sweet/savory dipping sauces.
The drunken noodles are FAT AND CHEWY, they have amazing texture and superb flavor
The lad thai is delicious and the noodles are in that special chewy-but-firm zone that makes me cream myself.
They provide housemade chili powder which goes well with the pad thai.
Overall CHARM THAI is an adventure in mouthfeel and their food has that flavor that makes me wanna keep eating to the point where I forget to breath.
I ordered their Drunken noodles for lunch and they were absolutely delicious and flavorful. I got medium spice and the heat was perfect. The ingredients were fresh and the atmosphere in the restaurant was so welcoming. I will definitely be eating here again and highly recommend anyone to visit Charm Thai. Can’t wait to try the rest of the menu!
Great Thai food, good servings and friendly service. Basil fried rice was delicious!
One of the best I ever had. Food is very good. Nice people hard working and a place that I love to recommend.

Shockingly delicious Thai food. It’s in a cozy, unassuming spot but don’t be fooled: the food is amazingly good. Easily my favorite Thai spot in Sac, I hope they stay open forever.
Food was delicious and the server was extremely kind and attentive.
One of the best dining experiences we have ever had! The attention to detail with the service and quality of food is 100/100!!! I highly recommend this amazing restaurant! The staff and food are incredible, we can't wait to go back! ❤️❤️❤️

Such great food!! Just the fried itself had so much flavor. Ask for chili oil if you want some spice - it’s delicious.
Attentive service, excellent food, would definitely return. Ordered the Tom kha soup (medium) and it had a deep and complex flavor. We then had the panang curry chicken (hot) and it certainly lived up to the spice and the hype, very impressed with the flavor. Total with Thai ice tea and rice came to $40 with tax and tip.
Amazing food
Found this GEM while taking my gf to get her nails done across the street. Kin Thai was my favorite Thai place in sac until eating here. The staff is WONDERFUL, the food is SPECTACULAR. Recommend the basil fried rice with pork belly, and the pad see ew. The pineapple curry is also really enjoyable.
People of Sacramento, I can’t believe how freakin good this place is, holy smokes!!! I have eaten at many a Thai restaurant in the Bay Area and here, and this places takes the Mf’ing cake! The flavors were ON POINT. Can’t wait to go back and try more things. This place is a treasure. I am not exaggerating.

Dingy place that can really use an upgrade to the decor. A little bit would go along way as far as that. Honestly though, interior design is something I could care less about. The server was slow and oblivious despite that I was 1 of 2 customers, the meal took about 40% longer than it should have as I was waiting for her attention while they ate, chit-chatted and played on their phone. They forgot the Hot Tea I ordered, gave it to me after serving me everything else and still charged for it, not a big deal, just annoying as Hot Tea always takes a while to cool and I was practically done with my meal at that point. I ordered the Fried Tofu and the Egg Rolls for apps. The Egg Rolls were disappointingly awful, again good potential, they looked great, perfect size, I love the ingredients they used I think they just weren't fresh as they were mushy in the middle with a poor texture but the worst was the bitter greasy taste of the wrap probably from a combination of really old fryer grease being absorbed by the old spongy wrap. The fried tofu was not much better, again I think it just wasn't fresh. It was likely fried at a different time and then reheated as it was very dry, and flavorless (yes even for fried tofu I eat it a lot) and the biggest tell: still cold in the middle. The only saving grace was the entree I ordered; Veggie Delight with Fried tofu; despite being a little too much on the salty side (I like salt, it was just a tad bit overdone) the dish had an excellent garlicky flavor and the veggies were fresh, crisp with a wonderful variety and cut appropriately (not giant pieces), it was a very tasty! However again the fried tofu I don't think was fresh and again poor grease taste. After writing all this out honestly I think they're only problem is that they are being cheap and not changing out the grease in the fryer, that probably created the poorly cooked tofu (old grease doesn't get as hot) as well as produce a rancid taste on everything that is cooked in it. So please Charm Thai; GET NEW GREASE FOR THE FRYER

It was my first time visiting and I didn't have any expectations, but I was blown away. I am definitely coming back.
Some of the best thai food I have had in Sacramento! The thom kha was even better than the ones in Thailand. A little expensive but definitely taste good.
Very yummi. Very friendly.
The appetizers are amazing and the service is great as well. We are definitely coming back.
We ate in the restaurant and I want to speak to other negative reviews. The portions were average size. The food was plated very well. It's slightly upscale, certainly compared to a hole in the wall Thai place. Very freshly made. Very tasty. No notes.
Over priced and small entrees.
I just had the pad thai and steamed veggies. It was not good. The pad thai tasted like it was leftover from yesterday... noodles stuck together, sauce was thick, and mild must mean no spice at all... and the veggies were raw. I was excited to try a new thai place that had glowing reviews, but am very disappointed 😞 I ordered to pick up, and arrived early, and my order was ready when I got there. Small place, homey. Not sure I will go back.
I was made to feel special and the food was out of this world good❣️
The Mango Curry is amazing!
I love Thai and this place is amazing!
A little pricey but you get what you pay for. The food, curry, pad see ew, and fried rice were absolutely incredible. Same with the chicken satee. This is my favorite Thai spot now.
La comida fue delicioso y la que nos atendió fue muy amable.
Really good and fresh food. Green papaya salad was outstanding and among best I've had anywhere.
Finally! An authentic Thai spot in Sacramento. We were very happy with the food and the service. Did not expect the food to be this good! Will be coming here all the time from now on. Please visit this place and try it for yourself.
Have been here 2 x. Awesome! Charm platter for appetizer was great.. Pad See Ew best I ever had. Others ate nearly all their chosen entree. Great service. Quiet relaxed atmosphere. Clean. Good parking. Reasonable price. Will be back.

I personally was impressed with the place settings which were way better than what I have at home or have experienced at other restaurants. The place is just the right size so you don’t feel overwhelmed! Even the water was five star!! My daughter had the Thai iced tea and it was delicious!! We shared a chicken panang curry plate with sticky rice and were very satisfied!!! I have ate at other Thai restaurants in California and Las Vegas and this was the best!! The staff was extra friendly and the place was super clean and I was impressed because they had different seats at the tables!! I definitely recommend and will come back!! My daughter does not eat pork but I hope next time to be able to eat the same dish but with the pork belly!!!!!!

Cute little shop with HELLA GOOD FOOD! Menu was small but PERFECT, straight to the point, and the server was super nice and helpful 😁
This is my favorite Thai restaurant in Sacramento now. We only got the drunken noodle with tofu and it was perfection! They accidentally brought it with chicken instead of tofu first, but that was such a forgivable mistake because we were so pleased with our dish! The initial first bite flavor lasted until the end bite. We took the roti with green curry appetizer to go and had it as a nice snack for lunch the next day. Honestly, many of my go to Thai restaurants have gone down in quality and consistency and so many use frozen egg rolls now, or so spicy you burn your taste buds so I'm so pleased to have found this gem! Will definitely be our go-to from now on.
Anyone that rates this place less than 5 is gonna have to fight me. The food is perfect the staff is awesome. She tried to get me to order less food haha not today — I need all good stuff. Been looking for perfect Thai in Sacramento, now I found it! Fragrant, rich, light citrus, and FRESSSSSSH. Highly recommended.
Mind blowingly good food
Wonderful food! We ordered a la carte: pad thai noodles with chicken, Thai fried rice with chicken, yellow curry with chicken, and the stir fried vegetables (no chicken😂). For appetizers, we shared egg rolls and spring rolls.

Delicious food! They need more help. Atmosphere lacking. Order to go.
The best I've had yet. Their soups and noodles are so much better than other places in this area. Prices are very reasonable also.
My wife and I ate here last night and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Great taste, value, and large portions. The Pad See Ewe with chicken was wonderful as was the Veggie Delight with beef. Even the jasmine rice was perfectly prepared. We've had a lot of Thai food in town and this is one of the best so far.
Great food! We tried one dish mild and one medium spice. The medium spice was delicious with some spice, but not too much. The mild was too mild for us, but still delicious. The GF option was clearly marked on the menu. You have to request that it be made GF though. Easy enough. Large portions, which I was glad for. I love Thai left overs for lunch. The prices are reasonable. There are a few easy things they could do to punch up the decor, but it was nice enough. I’d rather have great food than hip trendy decorations.
I am a Thai aficionado and Charm Thai is near the top of my list in Sacramento. Great new spot in East Sacramento. I have tried nearly half the menu and it has been delicious. Service is friendly and homey. Highly recommend!
This place is so good I recommend it
The best Thai food I’ve ever had in all of Sacramento and anywhere else! The staff are amazing, and the owner is absolutely the sweetest woman ever!
Delicious fresh hot appealing food and friendly service. Best Thai in town!!!
This place is delicious. The pad see ew is unlike other versions I’ve had; it’s different in a really good way, kinda peppery and delicious. The red curry was awesome too. This is probably the best Thai I’ve had in Sacramento.
My only “complaint” is that they need to add a “special requests” note in the online ordering system so that I can order certain dishes without onions! Please add that if possible.
Best Thai Food in Sac. It’s like a good Chinese restaurant. Service is a bit slow but that only means the food is great. So expect both.
Such a great experience. Not only was the food amazing, but the staff really cares about the quality of the food. The slightly higher prices are worth it. And the Playlist they had was a true jamfest.
Exquisite food, beautiful environment and such great service. Highly recommended, a must eat place to go!
I spent two years in Thailand when I was in the Air Force. Loved the food, particularly the egg rolls and fried rice. Finally, after many years and attempts, I have found a restaurant that captures the authentic flavors and plating I have sorely missed. They still could use some decorating and interior finish work that seems to be in progress but we will certainly be back.
I am 12 and a VERY picky eater with not a lot of experience with trying new foods. But today we took a visit to Charm Thai and it totally expanded my food range! I got drunken Thai noodles with rice and my dad got green curry and spring roles! My dad likes to try all foods and tell me how he likes them, and I put them as reviews. He told me this is the best Thai food he has ever had in his whole life. Same with me. The owner Liu is extremely friendly and such a lovely atmosphere and vibe all together. We will most definitely be back and so happy you are added to east sac!!
Charm Thai has just opened and it is truly excellent. Everything we ordered was delicious with very fresh ingredients. We recommend it highly - we now regard it as one of the best Thai restaurants in town.
I went to Charm Thai for the first time today. The green curry, the drunken noodles, the fried rice and the spring rolls were all delicious. Will definitely be back. So happy to have another excellent food option close to my neighborhood.
Loved the decor and music. Felt like being back in Thailand. The two things better than the atmosphere was the food and the owner. Seriously freaking good food that will compete with anyone’s favorite place around here. How things were cooked were bit different from what I was used to and loved it all! Liu the owner (I hope I spelt that right) is an absolutely wonderful person that will leave you smiling. I can’t wait to go back soon for more fantastic food and more talks about Thailand!
Awesome food. Awesome service.
Cool atmosphere, the Panang curry was great. Would eat here again
This small Thai restaurant is really the best Thai restaurant I’ve been to. I don’t usually do reviews but I’m doing this one.👍👍👍👍👍
Food was delicious. Service was excellent and pleasant. Highly recommend Charm Thai.
I heard about this restaurant from my coworkers. The food is amazing and the staff is so kind! I got the mild drunken noodles bowl and it did not disappoint! You can tell how truly authentic the food is and that they use fresh ingredients. Will definitely be returning!
Ordered takeout, and it was impressively delicious! We met the owner Liu while we waited, and she was very welcoming and generous. Cute vibe inside. Honestly some of the best Thai we have had in Sac so far. Definitely going back!
Super super yummy! We ordered takeout online for the family and walked in and was greeted by who I assume is the owner. She shook my hand and asked me to let her know how everything tastes. Ended up calling her this evening to tell her how fantastic everything was. :) great addition to the neighborhood.
Delicious food, amazing service, and really beautiful design. Plus they were playing great music!
Fabulous new little Thai place in east Sac. The food was incredible and the portions huge. We had a variety of dishes and they were all delicious. The staff was so friendly and helpful! We loved it. Give it a try!
Had dinner, larb and yellow curry. Both were excellent, just the right amount for spice, blending cool and heat perfectly. Liu has brought her mother's recipes into full life. Try it!! Let's support this new local business.
Wonderful place to get food and so happy to have it in our community! It's a really fun and homey vibe and the staff are super friendly and fun. Definitely recommend going and supporting this restaurant.
What a fantastic find. We had been waiting for Charm Thai to open — and the wait was worth it.
Best thai food I’ve had in Sacramento and Liu the owner is wonderful. Highly recommend trying East Sac’s latest place for great food!
The food and service were both excellent! We all were charmed
Went tonight for dinner - delicious and service was great. Tom Kha was perfect!
We ordered take out on their third day in business. The owner was super sweet and the food was good. Indoor decor is nice with a ceiling treatment that keeps the echoey noise down which I always appreciate. I wish them the best of luck with the new business!
Such a sweet little Thai restaurant. I went 12/1/2023 and was their first customer ever. The food was absolutely amazing. Spices and flavors were on point. I had the drunken noodles and spring rolls both of which I'd highly recommend.
