And they have lunch specials that come with rice and would have cost me maybe $14 - $15 but they didn't ask me if I wanted the lunch portion or not. But my supposed non lunch portion looks small like a lunch portion. I will NOT order from them again and this was my 1st experience and it was HORRIBLE.

The chicken fried rice was very good and of course the Thai tea was great. The teen worker wasn't very attentive, and you could tell she didn't want to be there, but I was a teen once, so I get it.

We ordered a few dishes to share: Tom Yum Chicken, Golden Duck Curry & Flaming Drunken Noodle with chicken. We got the dishes mild for spiciness. The soup and the noodles were delicious and enough to share for 3 people. I personally didn't like the duck curry as much. I would like to come back and try their other curry dishes. 😊😍😋

I like spicy food. I enjoyed Pad Thai dish and Drunken Noodles with any choice meat, that is including Duck if You like duck 👍

Nice tasty Thai food.
We were a group of 8 colleagues, and ordered almost 12 dishes, and all of them were pretty tasty.
The taste was good and the quantity was sufficient. The total bill was around $250.

The food was subpar, and the place was dingy. The server was sloppy and messy. She spilled some sauce on the table and chair as she was taking away the plates. She didn't bother to come back to wipe up the mess. She seemed to be rushing even though it's just 730pm.
Foodwise, it's one of the worst thai food I've tasted in the 626 area. Had better thai food at a mall food court. I'm not a fan of this location at all.

Great Thai food

When you talk about food quality and the mere delicious taste, wow! This place is by far one of the best around. If you guys are around or close, try it! Don't be fooled by the surrounding buildings that look abandoned. Try it out. Amazing Thai food! Peppercorn Short ribs were astounding, drunken noodles were my favorite, papaya salad spicy but oh so tasty and some good classic fried rice! Highly recommend!

Nice Thai restaurant with very good Thai dishes...we had duck and half chicken with good portions.

I walked in with my mom and the cook and waitress looked at us then at each other and laughed fter saying something in their language. I ignored it and placed our order. We ordered 4 items and left hungry because the portions were so small even for 2 people. I am never coming back here again. The young waitress was rude. I did notice that other customer's plates were not as skimpy as ours. The only professional person there was the cashier.

Even items that don't list meat seems to have non-vegetarian base. It's a place best avoided for vegetarians.

I drove by and saw this place and decided to walk in and try the food .A Nice man around 50 yrs old seems to be the owner welcomes me, two waitress standing just looked at me as if they were confused for some reason. The Nice man politely tells me to grab a table and says they will be with me shortly. I go and pick A table...as im wating for the menu a younger looking waitres brings it to me, As she was aproching my table I gave a friendly smiled and i say hi to her ,I get no respnse from her no greetings or anything, she has a look in her eyes as if she doesn't care, she comes and just slides and throws the menu on my table without saying anything and just walks away, she didnt even introduce her self or asks me if i wanted something to drink, i got a bad vibe from her , so i thought if her attitude is that bad i can only imagine the food and service would be bad too, So i decided to save me the trouble of getting bad service and possibly getting bad food . I get up immediately from my table and just walked out of the restaurant. With hundreds of other thai restaurants i got on my phone and i found this really good Thai restaurant in El Monte on valley called Thai Excellente , the food is delicious, two older ladys cooking and their service is awesome.

Great food at reasonable price

The food is very excellent and tasty. The portions are excellent as well. I am a heavy (somewhat) person that normally goes back for seconds and dis not feel the need to do so. I will be eating here more often. As to the spice level in the food when you order hot, it did not let me down. It was plenty spicy like I requested.

They have papaya salad with options of raw shrimp and crab. Not that I eat the raw crab (shrimp yes!), but I would say authentic Thai restaurants usually serve this, lol. Eat raw stuff at your own risk though.

Wide range of Tom Yum and Tom Kha soups. They ask for spiciness while taking order, so you can provide your level as per comfort. Decent place for family.

If you like spicy noodles, definitely try the flaming drunken noodles (pad kee Mao) and when they say "how spicy?, Just say "SPICY". This thing is tasty and spicy! I even add dry red chili flakes on top. It's my guilty pleasure. All their other food is good too, but this is my spot for spicy rice noodles dish.

Their food is delicious and not-kidding spicy! The papaya in papaya salad appeared to be cut with a knife, not the shredder. It was flavorful! Loved the dry shrimps. Also re: the negative review below, I think it’s a custom to serve papaya salad with a wedge of cabbage, not shredded cabbage. My Thai mother in law does it the same way and I’ve seen it served like that in many other Thai restaurants.

The fried rice was also really good and didn’t taste artificially flavored or too salty. Would love to come back to and try other things!

Service was quick and friendly, restroom was clean. Parking lot available.

I just came from there and the food was cold and tasted funny also when we left she had the audacity to ask me why didn’t I tip and she gave me a face . I don’t recommend it . Save your money it’s not worth it .

They have amazing Thai food, I haven’t dined in here per day but have gotten take out to go. Their food is super authentic. It’s a average price, the wait does take a while as they make the stuff fresh, but it’s totally work the wait. If you are to get to go order I’d recommend calling in advance for pick up so at least by the time you get there the food will be less of a wait or ready!

I got their soup, and curry and honestly by the time we got home and was eating it, it was still super hot. I don’t know how they keep it that way, but it’s as if I was eating at the restaurant, didn’t have to worry about it getting cold.

You know what is a delicious supper? An authentic Thai cuisine. So without further ado let’s begin this exciting food review.

Tantawan Thai Kitchen is a large thai restaurant that offer a variety of Thai cuisine. It’s located in a large plaza in Garvey avenue in Rosemead. They have one other location in West Covina. We came here as a first time customer and dined-in for dinner. We were warmly greeted by a female host and ww as seated to table number #6.

They have QR Menu on the table for easy access. We decided to order a thai iced tea, pad woon sen (thin glass noodles stir fry), and veggie egg rolls. The Thai stir-fried noodle dish made with glass noodles, egg, veggies tossed in a savory and slightly sweet pad woon sen sauce was warm, moist, tasty and very flavorful. Similarly, those veggie rolls were warm, crunchy and delicious especially when dipped in chilly sweet sauce. Thai iced tea
was refreshing and not too sweet.

Service was fast and on point. Staff were assiduous, amiable and followed health protocol. Prices seem fair. Finding a parking spot was effortless. Overall, we enjoyed our authentic Thai supper and I recommend this place.

The Tom Yum Noodles was authentic; very tasty. Enjoyed it very much and finished the entire order! The Thai Jamaica drink was also excellent and helped offset some of the spicy soup just perfectly. I would highly recommend this combo!

Service is slow! No one came by to ask if we needed anything else. Also this place is very tip hungry. Last time I checked tip is not required by law. There are better Thai restaurants around. Do not recommend.

My mom's yellow curry was delicious! Not overly coconut-y and the spice is more of a back burner tingle. I might want to try spicy next time for the curry! Rice is NOT included in this dish. I believe it is $2 for a small portion.

Their Tom Yum Noodle Soup is probably the best I've had in a long time. Their packaging makes eating easier. The soup and noodles are stacked on plastic tiers making it easy to combine everything together and eat straight out of the containers. Most places use the tall plastic containers for soup which cannot be turned into a bowl. Their medium is fire for the Tom Yum! They don't downplay the spice like most Thai places. I love not having to add extra chili/spice to my dish.

Came back a week later to try their Southern Curry Noodle and Mango Sticky Rice. They were okay. Mango sticky rice and thai tea were too sweet for my liking. I forgot to order medium spicy for my Southern Curry Noodle so that might be what was lacking for me? Will be back to try their other items!

We arrived just past 9 and they closed at 10 so the waitress asked us if we were going to get it to dine in or to go and we told here it was dine in.it seemed like she not want us to eat there becuase she asked us a few more times if it was to go and we told her no. The last time she asked us if it was to go we just got up and left. It was still early enough to stay and eat there buy ig looks like they just wanted t ok close up and leave. We will never go there due to their bad service.

Bad service

They have very good Thai food and its not overpriced. We love their chicken satay and veggie dishes . But be careful if you can't handle spicy dishes cause their level of medium spicy is super spicy so go mild. We do like very spicy but most don't.

deliciosa cocina Thailandesa, frescos maricos, y variedad de platillos veganos, sirve. muy buen ice Thai tea. muy elegante y. mucha amabilidad y sonrisas.

Food is only ok, and the service fluctuates between good and average.

It's a little out of the way from where I live but it's always worth it.
