You can choose your level of spice from 1-10. I order 4 for the green curry which was perfect for me. It was a good flavor and reminded me of the flavors of Thailand Curry. The pumpkin curry my husband ordered 8, it was hot but he liked it. He added extra veggies to his. The pot stickers were fine, next time we order them we’ll get streamed. The service was good and we got our food in a short time. They have indoor and out seating. It’s a smaller place so you may want to call ahead and see if they have seating Available.

This Thai place is a small cozy restaurant just opposite of Sprout's. Taste is good, not heavy on the wallet. Menu is not that expansive, but you'll find all the standard Thai entries. Portion size is not that big, but should be okay for that price. Since this place is small, it will not be comfortable for groups of 6 or more. This will be perfect for a quick to go pick-up, on a normal weekday. Spicy fried rice is must try, it will not disappoint you.

After reading the reviews I think I got my hopes too high. They belong right here. 3 solid stars. Expensive however for what it is.

I've tried basically all the Thai food places in Poway and this place ranks in the upper echelon for its service, food quality, and taste.

Not my favorite place to get Thai food from but does the job and tasty nonetheless. I ordered the pad see ew and though nothing special or out of this world it met the criteria for "good". One thing that separates this place from others is that their shrimps come without the tails which is a positive. The Tom Kha was actually quite delicious and I would certainly try again.

Their service is what put them ahead of other spots. Quick readiness along with an easy ordering system and spice level selection.

I was very unhappy that I waited for food for more than 30 minutes. They do not serve as orders are received, but depending on how profitable it is for them, as I understand it. I arrived before everyone else, and 10 people were served after me. And I was sitting and waiting just because I'm a simple courier. Thank you for the human respect and such attitude towards couriers.

This is our go to Thai restaurant in the area but since new ownership took over, the menu has changed and the food taste is different! It doesn’t taste like the previous food. I’m sad to say it’s time to go find another go to Thai food for us.

I love Iron Pan Thai and have been going here for over 2 years now. Their lunch specials are perfect for a quick lunch and their dinners are enough for 2 people to share. We order a lot of take-out because they are so quick and have a lot of vegetarian and vegan options when friends/family visit.

They also offer catering which I did for a party of 60 people. They gave so much food and we got a lot of compliments about the food being delicious and fresh. I would totally cater with them again!

We enjoy this place so much we make the drive from El cajon just to eat there.

Overall, good food and service. My go to Thai place in Poway. The pad see ew and pumpkin curry are delicious. The other curries I wish they included more vegetables and they were a little watery. Ill keep going back for my favorites.

I used to eat lunch here at least once a week. So much has changed since this place changed ownership. The currys taste watered down and are served with 5x more onion than any protein you order. The yellow curry no longer has those hints of lemongrass you find only in homemade versions. The massaman curry is mostly watered down broth with a little coconut milk. The nice upside-down dome of steaming, perfectly cooked white rice has been replaced with just an ice cream scoop of hard undercooked (or stale?) grains. The service is polite enough yet cursory, almost insincere. The atmosphere has lost it's authentic charm, replaced with a more austere, less welcoming look. And finally, the new smaller portions now come with a higher price.
By the way, tip is based on the pre-tax subtotal, not the post-tax total. You don't tip for tax. And please don't store propane tanks, new or used, in between the front dining tables. Bad idea. And lastly, when it's cold outside, please, close the front door. Everyone inside was wearing their winter coats.
Looks like it''s time to look for a warmer, more authentic Thai experience... somewhere else.

This place is amazing! I had the spicy eggplant dish (level 4 hotness) and my boyfriend had the Pad Thai (Level 5). We actually felt healed after our dinner. The vegetables were fresh and the spices were perfect. We didn’t even need to add anything. We will definitely be returning to this place. Also, the people were friendly. Thank you! Five Stars all the way.

Told me my pick up order would be ready in twenty minutes. After 45 minutes they had not even started cooking it. No courtesy shown to say sorry for the wait or anything. Even when I said I was leaving, they just said that's fine. I know they were busy but they could have given a better estimate and shown some courtesy regarding the long wait.

We went there for lunch and worst food ever, I am shocked to see how this restaurant got above four star. Because that rating made us go there and after couple of bite we couldn’t eat our food. Worst taste and very cheap preparation, if you ask for protein they would give you 4-5 pieces of that. Waste of time or money

Pad See-Ew, Pork Pad Thai, Calamari, and Coconut Shrimp. I liked all of them a lot except for the Coconut Shrimp.

Iron Pan is a great local gem. We have been getting takeout from there about once a week throughout the Pandemic. Not only do they serve up the best Thai food in Poway, but they are really friendly.

I cannot say enough about this place and how delicious the food is. My wife loves the Tom Yum soup and tofu soup. I like their Satays, spicy fried rice, and spicy eggplant. Our daughters love the pad thai and yellow curry.

I eat here frequently. It's one of the few places I tried to patronize during the pandemic to keep it going. Most of the food is very good except the Tom Kha Kai soup. Other restaurants make that much better. My favorites are the Green and Panang curries, the Thai Basil and the Spicy Eggplant.

My wife and I were visiting Poway from Chula Vista the other day and wanted something good for lunch in the area. While searching online we found Iron Pan Thai Kitchen and decided two Cashew Nut Chicken orders to go. Ordering was fast and service was excellent. The nice lady at the restaurant even delivered to our car when the food was ready. Highly recommended. We will be back.

After delivering Iron Pan Thai to a customer who highly recommended their food, I went back to get lunch for myself, and it did not disappoint. I ordered chicken satay, drunken noodles shrimp, chicken yellow curry, and a Thai tea. It was all excellent. I chose spice level three for the entrees, and for someone who likes some heat but wants to really taste the food it was perfect. My favorite was the yellow curry, the carrots and potatoes were cooked perfectly, and the chicken had flavor, unlike some places that seem to add it last minute without absorbing the sauce and spices. The rice given with it was the right amount to accompany the curry. It was enough for two people with leftovers for another meal.The tea was delicious as well, not overly sweet, and refreshing. The staff is very kind and the meals packed well for take out, give them a go!

Definitely worth a try. I had the "drunken noodle" dish, level 10 spice with beef and it was delicious. The spice was right were it needed to be. The noodles were okay, they broke very easily. The beef could have been a better cut but it's about what I expected for a Pad Thai restaurant in Poway. I usually get Pad Thai and I think I will stick to it in the future. Great customer service and a really friendly staff!

Very decent Thai food at moderately cheap prices. Got the lunch special which was smaller servings than expected, but still good enough. Service was courteous and attentive. Careful with the spice levels.

It was my first time in this restaurant. Ordered to go food for $50 and it was very terrible. It has a very high end rates but the quality of food was very poor. We ordered Thai fried rice, fried roll, fresh roll, chicken satay and red curry. Red curry usually is very creamy but unfortunately it was very watery, fried rice just had a lot of broccoli without much rice, fried roll was the size of last finger with minimal stuffing, chicken satay was a joke with no taste to chicken and terrible peanut sauce. Only good was fresh roll. No chili sauce or soy sauce given. Terrible food and charges more. Please don't order from this restaurant.

Casual restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. We had the Ginger Pad Thai; Green Curry with Chicken, and Fresh Spring Rolls. Pad Thai and Curry were excellent. Spring Rolls needed basil, cilantro or spring onion, not very flavorful.
Overall, I would definitely go there again.

The food is mediocre at best and downright awful at worst. Too much salt, flavorless dishes, and skimpy portions. Some of the ingredients, like cashew nut and chicken, taste stale or like a leftover. Plus, in the summer, the sun setting in the west will be right in your eyes. The Larb, billed as a "salad" comes with 2 small Romaine lettuce leaves. We will not be returning here.

Very, VERY, bomb eats🔥 Pad Woonsen is soooo good! Also, most items have a spice level between 1-10, of your choosing! Appetizers are also flame🔥🔥🔥 spring roll & veggie tempura are my favorites. Should certainly give this place a try if you have yet to do so

This place is one of the best! Everytime I go its always consistent and delicious! The panang lunch special is ON POINT.

Some of the best Thai food i have ever had. Ive tried many places and this place was definitely one of the best. Recommend. Make a reservation, very busy.

Perfect Coconut Shrimp Curry

I LOVE this place!! Food is always hot, good quality and fresh tasting! It’s tasty because it tastes fresh not just covered with spices and sauces!

Yesterday I ordered pad Thai and fresh rolls to go. This is the first time I have gotten food from this restaurant and may be the last. I was very disapointed with the food. Fresh rolls had only greens, carrot strips and cucumber piece. There was no rice noodles, Thai basil, cilantro or mint.
The rolls were wrapped in plastic, but the plastic stuck to the rice wrapper and I didn't know if I was eating plastic or wrapper! On the Pad Thai, only a few bean sprouts and 3 green onions, which were soggy, found on the bottom with load of peanuts in the too sweet sauce. Usually there is a lime wedge to counter the sweet, but not here. This is not my first taste of Thai food, having eaten it since 1985 when Su-Mei Yu opened her first restaurant in San Diego! And in my 75 years, I have made many Thai and oriental dishes.

Love this place. Best curry in San Diego! I highly recommend the yellow curry, yummy! The staff is incredible and always treats my family with kindness. Try it out, you won't regret it!

Best place to eat in Poway

Ohh I’m sorry, I just never been to a place that gives you a little serving of rice and charges $1.50 for another serving of one of the cheapest ingredients. Usually the rice is complimentary if your order something like curry. But hey we all got to make a living. But the curry was perfect and super delicious.

I went there for the first time today and I ordered the Panang curry to go and when I got home and opened it up I had triple the amount of sauce them I had rice so I called and ask if I could just get some extra rice and I would drive and go pick it up but they said the rice was complementary and wanted $2.00 just for a another little box of rice after I already payed $11.50 so I’m not going back there

Poway isn't really as diverse as other North County areas, but at least it has one good Thai restaurant and Iron Pan is it.

Always delicious. They do season on the spicier side though. My wife could barely eat the 3 level spice and I couldn't eat higher than a 5 (and I normally like spicy food). Thai tea boba is awesome as well.

This is my favorite Thai food place in Poway! Decent prices, and great quality for the price too. None of the other Thai places in Poway even come close. The curries are always rich and creamy, and the noodles are on point. Staff is friendly and I haven't had any issues with them forgetting anything or getting an order wrong.

I go for their drunken noodle dish normally, and it always hits the spot. Girlfriend goes for the curries. Last time I went, I tried their special that day which was a coconut shrimp curry which was very tasty, the coconut shrimp stayed pretty crunchy even with the curry, was glad it wasn't soggy.

The way they keep their utensils hidden in a box on the table is interesting, they should probably put a few extra napkins in there but that's no big issue.

Will keep coming back for my Thai food craving while in Poway.

Tasty Thai food

I have been to several popular Thai restaurants in San Diego. This is by far my favorite Thai restaurant. The red curry and drunken noodles are amazing. In the summer, the milk tea is deliciously refreshing. I come here at least once a week. The owner is so friendly and always greets me by name. For people who say this food is not authentic Thai...the owner is from Thailand and cooks many dishes himself so I am not quite sure how his food could be considered anything but authentic. The ambiance is great- very cozy and clean with your choice of either indoor or outdoor seating.

Food is good and I like that Thai Kitchen has brown rice. But I would prefer authentic Thai food

I'm here to visit my cousin. I got a chace to try Thai food in poway. I like the Drunken spaghetti. It's perfect.

I thought their drunken noodles were to die for but then i had their stir fried vegetables with chicken and sauteed chicken skewers omg i fell in love with this place... BEST Thai food i have ever tried please do not ever change management again youre the best from the bottom of my heart from chef to chef. Thank you for being so amazing.

I tried their delicious sticky rice mango, topped with cocnut milk and the presentation was phenomenally beautiful. The taste was even better than what i had anticipated i recommend this to everyone.
Their stir fried was just enough what i needed to get through a whole days worth of work not only is it filling but its savory and just delightful.
Also the red curry with bamboo shoota is another great enjoyment which everyone must try at least once.
Been to this venue a few times and everytime i fo here i am NEVER disappointed food is the best quality

I had garlic fish and larb chicken today. They are really yummy, very authentic. I also had matcha green tea for dessert. It's very rich. And don't forget about Thai tea with boba, it's the best!
