This is my new go-to for Thai takeout/delivery! The Panang Curry and Kra Pow (basil minced pork) were both outstanding, great flavor, some spice to it but not crazy, both come with rice.

Diner Review №2

Excellent Thai food, beautiful ambience and friendly staff!

Diner Review №3

This was our first experience with Kwan Kitchen, and we are highly satisfied with the quality of the Pad Thai. We loved the flavor, the heat, and the quantity that we got for our order. We will absolutely be back!

Diner Review №4

I'm so glad that I found this little gem. I took a meal to go and the service was fast and friendly. I ordered the pad thai and egg rolls and both were so good. The crispy pork in the pad thai was a welcome addition.

I love this place always come back any time...

Diner Review №7

This was the best Thai we’ve had in Pasadena!

Diner Review №8

Came on a weekday night and was pleasantly surprised! Got crab fried rice, chicken combo and green curry.

Wow the fried chicken and hainanese chicken combo was devine!! The batter is perfectly crispy and airy yet inside is super flavorful, juicy and tender! Love the soup, rice and sauce came with it too. Crab fried rice was also delicious but crab meat was a bit cold as I think they threw that in last so could use a bit more cooking time to warm up. Green curry is good too but nothing crazy.

Very friendly staff and clean/modern establishment. Will be back!

Half half hainanese chicken rice 🤌

Diner Review №11

Truly magnificent. Just like the dishes I fell in love with in and around Bangkok

Diner Review №12

Amazing Thai food!!! They took us less than 45 minutes before their closing time. They were tired but still kept a smile on their faces.
I really loved the food and I really recommend them!! 👌

Diner Review №13

Friendly service and tasty food. The wings were pretty big and so juicy! Had a nice crunch to it as well. The iced Thai coffee was great.

Diner Review №14

One of the best Thai food restaurants I've been to both in LA and Seattle. This place is amazing!

This place is amazing! Saw that there weren’t that much reviews but the reviews seemed to be good so I gave it a try! I 100% don’t regret it, the place has amazing food and the price is not too expensive, the service is great with the lady being extremely nice and helpful. BUT BACK TO THE FOOD…it was so good I forgot to take pictures. I would definitely give this place a 100000/10 if I could, definitely would come again!

Diner Review №20

Ordered pad see ew for takeout.
It was ready very quickly and absolutely delicious

We’ve been coming here for the past few months. My wife and I think it’s the best Thai food in Pasadena. I always get the yellow curry and my wife the pad Thai. Service is great and it really feels like a community restaurant.

Diner Review №23

As a Thai person, this place is soooo good. They got the Kao Man Thai Tod, which is Hainan Fried Chicken. Its so hard to find in LA but this place got! Not only that they got Kao Neow Kai Tod, which is Fried Chicken with sticky rice. I really recommend this place!

Their service is also amazing, this is my third time coming here and they remember me 🥹 they always greet their customer warmly and make them feel welcome!

ขอบคุณมากๆเลยนะค่ะ 😄

Kwan Kitchen in Pasadena is a hidden gem! I tried the Pad Kee Mao, Panang Curry, and Papaya Salad, and each dish was bursting with authentic Thai flavors. The perfect balance of spice and freshness really made the meal stand out. And don’t skip their refreshing Longan Drink and Kwan’s Thai Tea—both are the perfect complement to the bold flavors. Great food, fantastic service, and a welcoming atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back!

Diner Review №31

Best Thai food in the neighborhood and super friendly service. This is a great spot and very comfortable.

Diner Review №32

The food is very fresh and the prices are reasonable. It's a wonderfully lit, cozy restaurant. Great for dine-in or pickup.

Also, my server was very nice and took EXCELLENT care of me and everyone else who came in while I was here.

Highly recommend it for your next lunch break!

I can’t believe we finally have exciting Thai restaurant in town that I can count on! Kwan’s Kitchen has become my favorite Thai restaurant of all. The exterior looks more like hole in the wall, but you’ll be surprised when you walk in side. Their modernized interior with Thai accents is pleasing to the eye. The strip mall usually has plenty of parking spots.

We’ve tried their pad see ew, Kwan’s pad thai, shrimp sticks, dumplings, combo fried + Hainan chicken, and green curry. Every single item has exceeded our expectations. The green curry (like all curries they serve) was made in house and full of flavors. The shrimp sticks had whole shrimps in a deep fried wanton like wrapper—loved the textures. The chicken plate especially the fried one was so good, crispy and flavorful and the chicken rice and soup altogether were 🤌🏼! The pad thai noodles were so cheewy and I loved the combination of different elements in it. They also serve dried shrimp in it!!! That’s a winner in itself! All of the dishes were well-seasoned and not too salty and the portion was just right.

Their staff were attentive and friendly, answered to questions with pride and passion for their food :)

We appreciate their limited menu; they’re focused on specializing what they offer. It’s better to have good quality hand picked items on the menu than dozens of meh items.

We cannot recommend this place enough!

I'm not 100% sure, I think this is a female owned restaurant. Really good food, service, atmosphere. Price is reasonable

Diner Review №37

New Thai restaurant. Great food, great environment, great service, affordable price

Diner Review №38

Extremely friendly staff. Their menu isn't very large, but they still had some Thai dishes I don't often see at other Thai places, which was fun. Portion size was fair and the food was fresh and tasted great.

Diner Review №39

Went here for a friends bday dinner. They allowed us to bring wine for a corkage fee. The service was beyond attentive and friendly. The food was delicious. We started with the papaya salad at a medium heat and it had a definite kick. They were gracious enough to bring a dessert for the birthday gal. Cute location and decor too.

Diner Review №40

Just absolute fire. Chicken satay and the peanut sauce that came with it was my husband and I's fav, he loved the yellow curry and the papaya salad was delicious. Definitely coming back for another date :) great service as well. Really appreciate the cooks for giving us a great meal

Diner Review №42

Owned and operated by Thai people, blessing the community with authentic Thai dishes! All of their menus I have tried have been amazing. My favorites are the Yellow Curry, Tom Yum soup, and the drunken noodle with beef. Their shrimp appetizer is also delicious! Service is excellent and prompt. Clean restaurant and clean bathroom! Location is fantastic. Nice welcome to the neighborhood!

Diner Review №43

Unbelievably delicious modern Thai food one would not expect in south pas. Has the quality of an unexpected hole-in the wall, but beautifully understated decor and unassuming service.

Had the Moo Ping, Pad Thai, and a chicken combo platter, managed to cover a wide range of flavor palettes, contrasting softness and sublime crispiness on the chicken platter bringing subtle ginger and tangy sweetness to the mouth watering fattiness of the moo ping with an amazingly fragrant glaze, to the pad thai with fried pork belly…lots of new experiences for thai food, all of them great and with generous portions. 10/10, will be back.

Diner Review №44

The pad Thai was really good, but the crispy pork was suuuuuper crunchy and barely had any flavor.

Diner Review №45

It's the best Thai curry I've ever had. Everything was delicious, super friendly, wonderful atmosphere.

Diner Review №46

Ordered take out. Food is delicious, good sized portions and order was prepared timely.

Diner Review №47

One of my top 2 favorite Thai places in the LA area, best Thai on the East side. Everything was so flavorful and fresh. It seemed like everything should have cost way more than it did. We will be back!

Diner Review №48

The chicken was rubbery and not that good

Diner Review №49

Glad we found Kwan Kitchen while searching for a nearby Thai restaurant to try. Fresh and nicely balanced flavors and textures. We had the Tom Kha with tofu, chicken pad thai, Khao Man Kai (fried), Massaman curry with beef, and mango sticky rice. Each one was delicious and high quality. We did take out but will gladly dine in another day.

Diner Review №55

Really tasty food and good service.

Diner Review №56

I had the kra pow, the kow mun kai, and the kow pad here. They are all authentically flavorful, but the star is the kow pad with pork. It has that “wok” taste that cannot be found at any other Thai restaurants in Pasadena. It’s served with a slice of lime and fish sauce, a clear sign of authenticity. Try it and you may not have fried rice anywhere else.

Two feedback I’d like to see: 1) perhaps increase the portion by 10-15% and 2) tippjng suggestions should be based on a pre-tax amount.

Diner Review №57

New thai restaurant popped up in the Pasadena area. It's a small neighborhood Thai restaurant.
Came here for a late lunch. The server was very friendly w lots of smiles. Food came out promptly. Tom yum soup was delicious! Nicely flavored with plump shrimp! Crab fried rice was tasty. I think it needed a tad more seasoning, but it's still very tasty.

It's about time that we here in Pasadena get some good, quality, flavorful Thai food. Tired of driving to Thai town or further to Venice Blvd. Very nice people and cudos to the chef, please don't change the flavor as everyone starts flocking to your place. Pricing is also nice. My favorite food is Thai. You guys are going to do well and please don't change the flavors.... Thank you

Diner Review №60

Food great! Nice decor. Waitress is very friendly. Definitely recommend this place. There’s also a parking lot at the front.

Diner Review №61

Super friendly staff, no non-sense menu, food tastes genuinely Thai and not watered down like most Pasadena Thai restaurants. Hollywood Thai town taste and quality here. Hope it stays that way!

Diner Review №62

I live about 10 min from this newly opened restaurant, saw it under construction and was curious what it would be. Happy it's a Thai spot! Stopped for takeout tonight, and it was a solid choice. The menu isn't as extensive as some other Thai spots I frequent (a few in Thai Town, Saladang Garden in Pasadena), but they have all the popular dishes- curries, soups, seafood, rice, and noodle dishes. I ordered Krapow (spicy basil w/ground beef, egg, rice) and Massaman curry. The flavors were on point. The Krakow was moist and full of basil flavor. Egg cooked perfectly. The Massaman...was exceptionally delicious. I was surprised, it had more a complex and subtle flavor than the same curry at other places. Interior is designed very modern and clean. Lighting might be a tad too bright but looks super comfortable for dine in. Reasonably priced, in line with other Thai restaurants. Staff was friendly and helpful. Only the first visit- but seems like food from a grandmas (or grandpas) kitchen. I will be back!

Nice spot, very friendly staff and delicious food. Worth the drive! I recommend the pad thai or any of the curry dishes. Also, the egg rolls were some of the best I’ve had in the area.

This is a new place that's only been open for a few weeks. The place look very neat, nice and very simple inside the restaurant.

I ordered takeout and June is the one who took my orders. She is very helpful and cheerful too. I ordered the Pad Thai Crispy Pork, Beef Pad See Ew, Thai Basil Spicy Pork, Crab Fried Rice and Chicken Wings. And Thai Tea, of course, who would not order a Thai Tea eating at a Thai restaurant. 😄

The Chicken Wings are moist inside and crispy on the outside. No breading on the chicken and the taste is very good. It comes with sweet spicy sauce.

The Pad Thai is cooked al dente, which is perfect for me. It tasted like an authentic PadThai where the hint of tamarind, lime and palm sugar are a melody to your tongue. And they are not skimpy on the shrimp and crispy pork.

The Beef Pad See Ew is cooked soft and not salty at all. The beef is tender and the sauce is very good. Broccoli are crispy and not overcooked.

The Basil Spicy Pork comes with a cup of rice and fried egg on top. I ordered less spicy but it is so good that I wish I ordered regular spicy.

The Crab Fried Rice came with chunks of crabs. And the fried egg was scrambled in a way you can see the egg whites. It is very flavorful.

Next time I come visit this place, I would order their Panang Beef. They ran out of Hainan chicken when I was placing my order but that will be for the next visit.
