After heavy holiday feasts, I was craving for light comfort food. The papaya salad (I ordered the non-spicy one) and coconut soup with shrimp were so refreshing yet flavorful. My tummy was happy!

(The name is a fake one, used because I’m uncomfortable using my real name online) bought Pad Thai (hope I spelt that right) and it was amazing, super delicious and flavorful. I only bought one but honestly I should’ve bought more, it was that good. The portion size was pretty big and left me full after. Customer service was great too! The restaurant has a cozy feel to it, it’s very inviting. Will definitely be coming back more frequently and with friends. I also bought some deserts last last visit, specifically coconut ice cream, fried banana, and mango rice, all three were delicious especially the ice cream! And I’m not even a fan of coconut ice cream but I love theirs. I think I found my new favorite spot!

Ordered a small meal for myself and my wife. Got home and realized that they had left the larb gai chicken salad dish out.

When I went back to the restaurant, I live five minutes away, the receptionist in an empty restaurant informed me that the kitchen staff said they had given me the larb gai salad I ordered. The kitchen staff had in fact, put everything that they prepared into a bag which the receptionist gave me.

I was then told that there were several orders ahead of me and that I would have to wait a while to get my replacement salad. No apology just a suggestion I was trying to rip them off.

Food is decent. Service is terrible. I was really disappointed.

Disappointing portion sizes!! Charged us full entree price ($12) for an order of veggies but it was just a small disappointing side of veggies.

If you can drive a few more miles to Lafayette, “Amarin Thai Cuisine” goes above and beyond with their portion sizes! You’ll never be disappointed and will always have left overs.

Me and my fiancé are very hesitant to return to Royal Siam again even though they’re closer to our home due to their portion sizes. At least charge accordingly for the portion size seen in the picture we shared from our meal.
Even our pad see ew was smaller portion sizes than we’re used to at other Thai restaurants.

P.s. We both weigh 120 - 150 lbs and don’t require an unreasonable amount of food. You know it’s a small portion size when you open your to-go order and can see the bottom of the container and you glance at it with question “Really?!?”

Interesting to see how your portion for the same plate gets smaller every single order. My family starts to getting massive diarrhea from the last few visits, definitely won’t visit again.

Friendly service. PadThai J has always been a favorite but this wasn't a pleasant experience. I was hungry so I continued on. I spat out a piece of clear plastic from my water and the beef in my basil dish was tough and gave off a really weird smell, then I found a yellow piece from the outer cover of an onion in the dish. I don't know what the deal was today, but this experience was disappointing and concerning. Salad tasted good. Chicken wings tasted good. Pad Thai J veggies were ok but some pieces tasted like the veggies were old&rotting.

Ordered a dinner dish with duck meat. The portion was small and had only three pieces of duck meat.

Thanks for feeding me parasites. Shrimp cooks so fast. How does this even happen?!

Love this place. If you haven’t had the Royal Lamb from this place at least once in your life you haven’t really lived.

It's my favorite Thai restaurant. I love the food. The hot tea. And the staff!

Dinner here with partner, Soup, pork with eggplant, pad thai. All very good. Eaten here several times and recommend checking out this local place. Very affordable casual dinner.

Just discovered this place we have driven by countless times and so glad we did. The best dishes were the yellow curry, garlic scallops, calamari, and pineapple duck. The paid Thai was a little soft, the only dish we didn't love. We will be back for sure.

Ordered a pork & vegetable dish; the veggies were undercooked and the pork was vile tasting. I brought it to the attention of server and asked for something off the bill and I was told they don't do that. I am never going back..

I grew up in San Francisco and moved to Lamorinda after I got married 30 years ago. Back then it was hard to find authentic Thai food at this side of the Tunnel. The only places I truly enjoyed were Jitr Thai in Alamo and Royal Siam here in Moraga. The owner raised her kids in Lamorinda and has owned the restaurant for many many years. Food is authentic, both lunch and dinner menu are amazing. The only complaint I have is. The Thai iced tea is made with lactaid free milk ( maybe someone at the restaurant is lactose intolerant?)and tastes inferior than other Thai restaurants.

This place is an absolute gem.

Though I cannot comment on the meat dishes (I am a vegetarian), this restaurant has delicious and diversely flavorful food that is fresh and well prepared. The staff has always been friendly, accomodating, reasonable, and respectful. Their brown rice is also absolutely delicious!

My family and I come here often for dining in or take out. Their atmosphere is intimate and relaxing. I highly recommend this restaurant!
