And also, their curry dishes is a bit strange. Why am I'm ordering a curry dish that comes with no rice. About 15usd+ for the dish and no rice? There is no reason I have to order rice on the side with a curry dish at this price.

Three out of six of us were disappointed with their food because they were expecting it to be spicy and it wasn't. So, I would say definitely give it a try and see what you think. I noticed alot of people eating noodle soup when I was there. So maybe that's the star at this restaurant. I will definitely have to come back and try it.

Don't need to tell you that we love this restaurant. We frequent this cozy , friendly and tasty Bangkok home away from as many times as possible. This visit we ordered the pineapple fried rice , beef broccoli ,chicken stuffed shrimp eggroll, and our all time favorite spring rolls. As always the food was 5 star delicious, the service 5 star helpful, and the atmosphere 5 star comfort. SERIOUSLY, when we want great food, friendly service and a place to relax and enjoy our meal , the Bangkok gets a 5 star all around from us .

I went there and I got my usual dish cuz I go there very often but tonite. The service was not great I had finished my soda and the waitress didn't offer me another. Then another waitress was taking another table's order when order was she continued to bring food out to the table and continued to pass by table four times so I finally said something. I said excuse me can I get more napkins and she didn't even say anything she just went and grabbed napkins and still didn't say anything and I've been going there over 3yrs and the first time I've had bad service

Great shop if you need Thai style food. Everything from the pho, laarb, pad Thai, egg rolls are all pretty good here. It’s our family’s go to when we are craving Thai food. Location isn’t in the best of areas of Merced but sometimes that’s where hidden gems just are.

Great, tasty food. We ordered the Pad Thai, red curry, and eggplant. All were delicious. Serving sizes are generous and prices are in line with everywhere else, if not a bit cheaper than other Than restaurants in Merced. Highly recommended.

😭😭 first time with fiance I love it the pad thai is different from what im used to a bit sweet but definitely going again.we went on a sunday afternoon and it was not busy at all about 3 other tables the thai tea was yummy and lasted for a while the coconut drink was also pretty good as well

Very quick and friendly service. I ordered the Fried Tofu with Special Sauce (appetizer) and Prad Kao Tofu. The Fried Tofu with Special Sauce was definitely my favorite! The texture of the tofu was just right! Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Definitely would recommend!

We ordered 6 entrees and 2 soups. My wife had to triple check the order, things were forgotten but charged for, they told my wife they do not serve white rice with the curries? Is that correct? Does not seem right

Merced, CA: Bangkok Thai Restaurant - Large portions for a very reasonable price. Delicious coconut drink with actual coconut flesh. Wonderful lemongrass, mushroom, chicken, and coconut milk soup with the perfect amount of ginger. Fabulous red panang curry. Perfectly crispy egg rolls with delicious dipping sauce. Extremely tasty orange chicken.

We ordered take out tofu curry but they gave us beef. They easily fixed the problem. And it's always are go to spot for Thai. Food although Thai cuisine is also bomb.

Went around 2 on a Friday afternoon. There were only 3 tables taken and a couple of waitresses. My daughter and I got seated right away. It was clean, quiet and comfortable inside with some music playing. They served water right after seating us. Our order was ready quickly and The flavor was great, there’s a tray full of sauces on the table which I used to make a separate sauce to pour over. My daughter got the red beef curry and she loved it. We were in and out in about 30 minutes. Will definitely come again!

Was in the Merced area & clueless of any good restaurants to grab a bite from. Some guy from the monthly superflea suggested Bangkok Thai… probably the most delicious place I have devoured food from. I got me some chicken pad Thai and AGHH first bite and I was defeated by all the flavors. Egg rolls were a little good too but PAD THAI from here toooo good. Can’t wait to come back

Have been craving pho all week and trying out places I've never been too. This place in Merced is great! The food was delicious! I absolutely loved my beef style pho ❤ The building is pretty huge so you most likely won't have a waiting time. Everything is spaced out and you'll have enough room to bring up to a party of 6. For my party of 3 with drinks it was under 40$ which is a really good deal if you know how expensive pho can get 💪

I really enjoyed eating here very nice decor the food was fresh and came out fairly fast considering the takeout orders flowing in rapidly it does get a bit loud because of the building it tends to echo so having an important conversation this may not be a first choice but definitely try the food it's great I suggest the pho or the barbeque beef it is delicious

This hidden gem in downtown Merced never ceases to satisfy. Every dish is amazing but I am partial to the beef salad and pad se ew. Don't let it's alley entry fool you. It has a large dining area with both table and booth options. The staff is super friendly and on top of their game.

The food looked great but sadly I ordered pickup via ChowNow, which the restaurant does not partner with anymore. I'd recommend ordering through Bangkok Thai's actual website (vs. what is linked on here as "pickup") so you won't be disapppinted like I was. 🥲 The restaurant was pretty busy though and the staff seemed nice!

Ordered for delivery through doordash. Unfortunately my driver contacted me and told me he had to cancel my delivery because he was waiting for almost a half-hour for a simple Pad Thai Dish and had to go home to take care of his young son. I have had the same experience and would encourage the staff to get those orders out and not just pay attention to the people that are dining in the restaurant. I've had several friends that no longer go here for this reason. Time to get your act together guys!

I ordered online through ChowNow only to find out that Bangkok Restaurant has been having problems with their services for a month or so. I received a confirmation email that my card was charged and processed after placing my order. I arrived at Bangkok Restaurant and asked a server about my order. She explained that they have not been working with ChowNow and stopped taking orders from them. She then mentioned that I should get a refund from ChowNow. However, from Chownow's refund policy, I won't be able to get my money back. I feel like my time was wasted and I won't be getting my money back.

I am disappointed as the food from Bangkok is good and I enjoy eating there. After this experience, I highly recommend they should let it be known that they have stopped working with ChowNow as it can cause more problems for their customers in the future. I think they could at least update their details info on Google or place a warning in their restaurant to let customers know.

This used to be one my favorite pho places in merced but unfortunately I'm going to have cross it off my list. The pho is terrible now. It has a really bad artificial pho flavor that you get from instant pho noodles. No amount of hoisin sauce, sriracha sauce will help it. Also the portion size is way smaller than it used to be and cost $12. But the service was good at least. In summary save your money and save yourself from disappointment from eating at Bangkok.

Great food! I always look for the authenticity in places when I go out to eat. I don't like varients or substituts for originality. This is it.. they have a big menu to choose from. If you're not sure what your ordering please ask what it is first. The curry is great and the pho is good. I wish they served Thai Boat tnough. They also have seafood available from oysters to fried talapia..

Ambiance is good and restrooms are clean. The mango rice is a good desert and the fried banana ice cream.. mmm..

I would come here all the time, but now it tastes like their pho broth has reused and made weeks before broth! It’s not as good as it used to be. We have been eating here for years and they are always consistent with their good dishes. Their green curry and massaman curry are the best, hands down. The curry is so coconutty and rich, full of flavor. I won't eat curry anywhere else but here.

Their duck egg noodle soup is the best as well. No lie. They slice their roast duck and give you a good portion of tender duck meat. No bones in the soup and the broth is clear and so flavorful. I have not found a place who can top their duck egg noodle soup and curries.

Love it! Visiting my daughter in Merced and always come here for the duck curry. Outstanding. Daughter is partial to the Tom Yum which I tried and found really lovely. Wait staff very nice. A bit pricey, but not too bad. Recommended.
