Update: My gosh. Was eating the other two rolls today for lunch and noticed something black i look closer and it looks like a fly. ๐คฎ and i think i ate some of it. Please be more careful!
-Enjoy their thin steak and rice plate really yummy. Clean environment. Friendly staff. Was advised to try their Avacado rolls so I Did. They are not bad really fresh the sauce is really good you need it for flavor. The only thing was that it's called an Avacado roll but literally only has avacado at the top of roll. A slice. It should be through the end of the roll for every bite. More should be added i would have enjoyed it more. Maybe some rice would be good in it also. Also, kept trying to do phone order but didn't work so I just did through door dash for me to pick up and just realized the price for item is about 3 more๐ซค
First time visiting, and wow, what a pleasant surprise! The papaya prawn salad was excellent, and the shrimp and beef curry was absolutely heavenly! A must do. I totally recommend you try this quality Thai restaurant. They don't disappoint, and the service was outstanding.
My husband and I come here around this time of the year to sit by cheeryblossom trees and enjoy perfect Thai dishes full of flavors. This is our third year coming here and they still got it!
I got my go-to, Basil Catfish with coconut soup, and my hubbie got the Drunken Noodles... All very delicious, mine was with stronger flavors and his was more gentle kind, they balanced so well just like our marriage! ๐
*Look how much fresh vegetables come in the bowls- I felt so great, I didn't need to order salad :)
Amazing food as always! The complexity of flavors & continual consistency mean my mouth waters just by saying the name of this restaurant. Service is friendly but not obtrusive & attentive. While there wine list may be small it deliveres nice wine for relatively affordable price. Only thing I would change is that I would ask them to be open for dinner on Sundays!!

Swas no lemons
Been visiting for years, and they continue to provide a quality, pleasant dining experience. Aside from the acoustics, there's really nothing at all to detract from anyone having an enjoyable time.
Nice little place, good Thai food, inexpensive, good for lunchtime
I love their Appetizer Spicy Chicken Wings, sauce my favorite lol add to my Spice Pad Thai, even better. They have the right taste/spice I like. So enjoy more. Favorite lunch place for Office luncheons too! Love Spicy Pad Thai, my Favorite!
Just discovered this amazing spot and I'm already hooked! The noodle bowl and chicken skewers were phenomenal, and the service was outstanding. The town, Martinez, itself seems charming, and I can't wait to explore it more next time.
Will come back again! Great food! Great flavors.
The food was a refreshing surprise the server's name was Angel and he was very nice and helpful explaining any answers we needed ordering very pleasant experience my friend and I will be going back
Cool little place and good food. You gotta get the avocado wraps if nothing else.
The staff are rude. I have tried talking to staff about Thai food but they are short and do not want to engage
Staff is very friendly and personable. Rommel our waiter was very attentive, but not pressuring whatsoever. The red curry was great and with a little rice, completely filling.
Lemongrass Bistro is a fantastic place to eat. The staff made me feel welcome, even though I came in close to their after lunch closing time. At the time I had no idea, but was very thankful when they didn't rush me out once I did know. Definitely one of my favorite places for Thai food!
Delicious Thai food. Server forgot my order. Nice downtown Martinez location. Will go back many times with my wife because we like Thai food and this place is the best around.
Great food, good service
Fantastic flavorful food with great service. Family owned.
Small but very yummy!
Great amount of food for the price.
So delicious. Iโm an eggplant girl and love that dish as well as all the others there!
First time visiting, and wow, what a pleasant surprise! The papaya prawn salad was excellent, and the shrimp and beef curry was absolutely heavenly! A must do. I totally recommend you try this quality Thai restaurant. They don't disappoint, and the service was outstanding.
Excellent food! We had Drunken Noodles with chicken and crispy rolls with no meat and a sweet dipping sauce. We like water with our food and the ice water there never has an after taste. It reminds me of spring water from the mountains. Service is fast and the food is served hot. This is my favorite Thai restaurant!!!
Been a fan of this gem for many years. Hadn't been in a while so decided to get some dinner there with my daughter and still consistently good service and food quality. Had the Avocado Roll appetizer and their Lemongrass Fried Rice was outstanding also. Go!
Great food and service.
Good food, good service, good atmosphere. Still thinking about those avocado rolls with warm peanut sauce. mmmmm
First time here. The food was fresh and wonderful. Service was excellent and if you have not been in this downtown part of Martinez, you should give it an evening to experience it for yourselves.
We had dinner here the other night. The service was subpar, decor was mediocre and the food was semi-descent.
Iโm Mexican and my friend who invited my wife and I is Patrick Swayze white! His wife and mine are both Korean.
Near the end of our meal, a transgender staff member approached our table and made a comment, referencing a movie/comedy with a prominent Asian actress. After both our wives looked at the staff member with confusion, the staff member insisted on continuing the conversation about the Asian actress!
My friendโs wife was clearly bothered by the comment the individual made! I made clear gestures to him/her that he/she should stop but, the comments continued without let up!
I strongly believe that in a world where transgender individuals are threatened for their safety and whatnot, they are in no position to be poking fun at other peopleโs ethnicity! I could have easily made references to trans movies, comedies, etc, but I chose the high road!
If you have a restaurant with good food but have terrible service or servers that donโt stay in their lane, no matter how great the food maybe, the service or the lack thereof, will always leave a bad taste in your mouth!!
Delicious! Nice decor good service, will come again!!
Really good Thi dishes. We had lamb curry, eggplant, and shrimp noodels..ate family style and took home some great leftovers. Stop by for a great dining experience.
Ordered Grilled Beef and vegetables. Order was cold. Waitress gave me a 50% discount. Not a 5 star dish as told by other reviewers.
Delicious. A personal fave. Excellent, yummy food.
I've had a ton of Thai food being from the bay area and this one is just ok. With the high reviews I thought it was going to be better. I started with the coconut soup with chicken, one of my favorite dishes of all time and it was not as flavorful as ive had in other places. The coconut broth was thin and lacked depth of flavor. I was especially looking forward to the garlic noodles but they were very sweet for some reason. The prawns were a nice add but I didn't enjoy the sweetness of the sauce which tasted a lot like their Pad Thai. I also had the fried catfish dish and enjoyed thar one more. The people were very nice and the restaurant was a bit stark but clean. Portions were generous and food came out at a good pace. Prices are average for the cost of food these days. A solid C for me. There are better Thai spots in Martinez in my opinion, but to each his own. It's worth trying out once to see for yourself.
Service was very slow. Food was just okay.
So... The food tasted good. Upper average for this style cuisine , my servers messed up and brought me hot water instead of tea, honest mistake I guess? Then next they took very long to deliver my spring rolls which are a non cooked appetizer they should be quick but somehow 2 couples 4 people in total came in after me and were served their cooked meals before I even got an appetizer
..... Just gonna point out of noticed this trend lately some places give really poor service to me and it must be because I'm covered in tattoos and I'm black/brown... I've never had super slow service from a Ethiopian or Jamaican or black/brown people establishment but appears that some places just don't want to serve tatted up brown guys.. Jokes on them cause 90% of the time I tip more then those rich white people ever will.
*drops mic*
Mango chicken with brown rice is absolutely the best. Add several avocado rolls with peanut sauce and the meal is complete. The staff is friendly and service is great. One of the best places in Martinez for sure. Give them a try and you will become a regular, like me.
Try the pad thai noodles, so good.
The green curry was great. Service was on the slow side.
Always delicious. Love the count salmon soup - always go for the bowl. And the basil catfish is great.. another one of my favorites.
Great soups and fresh spring rolls, noodle plates well prepared, nicely presented and tasty ! Would definitely go back.
Excellent service and professionalism at it's best!!
Unique dishes and some Thai classics
So much flavor!
They close EARLY.
They close too early for us but the food we picked up earlier in the week was fabulous! Tasty, fresh
Very busy and understaffed for Saturday dinner BUT the food is amazing and the servers where all doing awesome while being super nice. Definitely going back!
Very tasty, service was amazing.
While the quantity of food was good we found the flavors lacking and uninspired for our dinner experience
Wouldn't recommend. Food was disappointing, the Asian infusions just weren't right and missed the authentic taste that I was expecting of Thai food, I've had better to be honest. Overpriced and the waiter lacked a sense of proper etiquette, reaching over my food to clean around us as we were still eating was very unprofessional and annoying.
Good Thai food
If you have ever had a delicious green papaya salad, donโt order it here because youโll be very disappointed! It was almost as bland as an iceberg lettuce salad with no dressing. Had to ask the server to bring me seasoning to try and salvage it. This one had shrimp, which is probably why it was $13, that were overcooked and very chewy. Wish I had tried something else. First time there, and probably last.
The food is good but service can be improved. There was only one waiter and I have to constantly have to wave and call him to take our order, give us the check, asked for togo box. I probably won't visit this place again.
I've always enjoyed the food here. The service is good and they offer take out. It's one of the top 5 places to eat in Martinez and still one of my favorites.
Very tasty lunch after a morning spent antique window shopping.
It was very good, the food, atmosphere & excellent service, I highly recommend the garlic noodles and prawns :).
Delicious Thai in Martinez. My favorite Thai in the Bay Area! Lamb Curry is Amazing!
I enjoyed this Thai food restaurant. Servings were very generous. Nice decor and the food was served promptly. Prices were not excessive. Good downtown Martinez location.
So good. So far tastefully fried rice
Pretty good. Popular for lunch. A little understaffed. Servers were pleasant. I ordered something other then my abandoned. It was dood, large serving.
By far my favorite Thai restaurant
Great food and great service. My lunch was amazing!
Honestly? Never coming back. I got glutened.
The service was terrible. The food was bland.
I ordered a drunken noodle and it was alright. It was bland and the shrimp was bland with rubbery texture. Itโs like they make up for it by being spicyโฆ which isnโt really an excuse.
Two stars for their Pad Thai. I love how their tofu had flavor and the dish was pretty decent because it was classic goopy and nutty.
But the waiter? Total whatever. Like he just wanted the world to end because he was doing everything. No finesse or whatsoever. Didnโt even offer us fancy little plates to eat off of. The white people at the other tables got the works, though. Soโฆ idk?
P.S. I used to eat here and loved it. Now? No. I got glutened too. So if youโre a celiac, donโt eat here. Cross contamination is on point!
Bye!
The portion seem to have gotten bigger. Food is fresh and the sauces are amazing. Order the seafood combo for the first time. Did not regret this choice. Salmon was perfect. Scallops, shrimp and calamari combined with the vegetables and curry paired very well.
Just ordered and ate the Penang Curry with tofu and brown rice. It was really delicious and the brown rice is a purple variety that is gorgeous and flavorful.
So, glad they survived the pandemic! Great service and food.
Great Thai food, good customer service. Never had to bring back an order because it was sub-par or missing something. Do yourself a favor and get a Thai iced tea while youโre at it.
Delicious and good sized portions
Best food in town! Wonderful Service too.
Great food, my wife and I love this restaurant!
Yum and convenient!
Tasty exotic fair
The food was delicious and the service was great.
Best thai food in contra costa if you ask me.
I was expecting something special, but it wasn't anything to write home about. Would I come back to the restaurant? Not unless I'm in the area and craving Thai food. I have my go to place that's closer to home.
Good tasty food, and fast service.
This review is based solely on their Seafood Noodle Soup for lunch to-go - it was really, really delicious.
Delicious every time!
The yellow chicken curry was good but the space itself wasn't pleasant. Suggestions to the owner โย print new menus (these were old and dirty to where I didn't want to touch them), straighten the crooked wall art and install some subtle aroma to help the smell in the place.
Is my second time at Lemongrass and everything is delicious !!
Delicious and excellent food
Excellent fresh food and friendly service! Definitely recommend. Try the red Curry seafood combo.
Great place! Amazing food...
Lemongrass has served me so many great meals that I would be remiss not to give them a 5 star review!
I love their red Curry dishes, they come spicy but I like to kick it up a notch or two in the heat department. Their drunken noodles is also very good.
Their lunch specials are all a great value given the quality and quantity of the dishes. Service for me has always been very good.
I can highly suggest trying this place for yourself!
Amazing food and reasonable prices, I highly recommend going for lunch because everything is about $3-4 cheaper
Truly delicious and close to home
Love this place, great food!
The Stir Fry Red Curry with Chicken was absolutely delicious. The dish came with generous proportions a salad and melon, a complete meal.
Thai restaurant in Martinez, CA. Excellent food, but rather slow service. Highly recommend!
Fun yummy bestro great service
Nicely prepared, authentic Laos food. Not too heavy on the spice or fish sauce unless you want it, and the portions are great for the affordable price.
Yummy Vietnamese food and lots of it. Generally busy on a weekday.
It was OK, food seemed a little lacking in flavor.
It took a little while to get our menus though the place was half empty for a Friday night... the servers were staring at their phones.
Several other restaurants in the area to go to next time.
The food here is really good! I love the Thai samosas and the appetizer chicken wings I'll n particular but really everything is good! The owners are very sweet as well
Great food...
If you're in Martinez this is absolutely the place to go to for lunch. You will be pleasant ly surprised. Food cooked to perfection!
Always good food.
Fantastic! Food is great. Friendly service. Great atmosphere. Highly recommended.
Friendly, filling, and DELICIOUS! I went with my wife and mother today. It was a random pick because I got my wife to agree to Thai food. She is NOT a fan.
This place changed her mind. All 3 dishes that we got passed her taste test. Both her and my mom clean their plates.
The staff was super friendly and attentive, even had suggestions for future visits.
We will be returning for sure! I have no pictures because we scarfed it down.
Nice food and people.
The food here is amazing and fresh. If I could, I would go here almost every day! When you go for the first time, get the lemongrass rice.
Tasty and fresh food, friendly service, clean bathrooms.
While waiting for our Amtrak train to pick us up, we had both a couple hours to kill and hunger to satisfy. We took a pleasant 5 minute walk towards downtown Martinez and quickly found a local a Thai restaurant to try, and we weren't disappointed. Neither my wife nor I are big fans of curry dishes, but there were plenty of other options to try. My wife chose to order the lettuce wraps from the appetizer menu and have them as her entree.
The wraps consisted of crispy little "rolls stuffed with pork" along with rice noodles, cilantro, cucumber, onions, etc. With, of course, lettuce leaves. The panko crispy coated pork rolls were amazingly crispy and flavorful combined with the fresh veggies and greens on lettuce. What made it even better was this zesty dipping sauce that tied it all together.
This same sweet-chili sauce was also served on my choice of dishes, the grilled pork. The pork was sliced thin, grilled to perfection in a sweet marinade of some sort. The sauce also complimented the very generous portion of pork (five large pieces, enough for my wife and I to share and still not be able to finish!).
Also available on their non-alcoholic beverage menu was a variety of unusual sodas. I chose the Bundaberg Ginger Beer, from Australia. It was absolutely amazing, and great with the meal. It was so good I got another bottle to take with on our journey.
Anyway, I can unreservedly recommend the Lemongrass Bistro. If you have a layover in Martinez, you must give it a try. You won't be disappointed either.
Great service and great food. I had vegetarian red curry dish. Upscale atmosphere with contemporary art covering the walls. Very good price point.
Very yummy food. Nice friendly staff
We were a group of seven and everyone enjoyed their meal.
BEST FOOD EVER!!!!!! SOOOOO FRESH!!!!!!! The staff is great too!
Great food, prices and service for lunch.
Decent but not great with vegan food had to alter everything.
Lemongrass Thai has really yummy food. We started with the samosa appetizer, which are tasty little half moon pockets of potatoes and veggies with a sweet citrus sauce. They were spiced to perfection. My vegetarian eggplant dish Thai hot was excellent and my husband's Chicken Pad Thai made him very happy. They have a special Lunch menu and everything I have ever eaten there was made with care. Highly recommend Lemongrass Thai
The coconut soup is the absolute best!
Awesome food, excellent service
The Lamb Curry is not to be missed.
Work in progress
Great food. Good service. Really nice inside. One of our family favorites.
i love it
The seafood curry was amazing. Service was initially a little slow but got up to speed really quick. We had an wonderful dinner, and will deffinately be back. They do serve wine if you are into that. It was clean, bright and welcoming decor.
