Traditional Thai dishes & the namesake outdoor area are the draw at this casual, late-night eatery.
I have not had much Thai food, so this review is solely based on my subjective enjoyment. I went to three Thai restaurants today, and this was arguably my favourite one. The Rad Na had such a great texture and taste, which I would highly recommend. The Thai-style omelet was a huge pleasant surprise with how simple yet delicious it was. I would recommend trying this restaurant out, especially if you’re looking for a nice, aesthetic space.
Offers lunch specials for $8 but not dayS before New Year as considered holiday. The regular menu prices were still reasonable price and doable given prices elsewhere nowadays. Beware of the extras charges adds up such as Panang curry must be eaten with rice but here rice must be ordered for additional money or you will get not drinkable soup. Shrimp salad was my favourite of the two dishes ordered. Dressing was the best! Hopefully when lunch specials offered I can try again with the shrimp salad. There may be a charge for parking in the night or weekends in the small tight lot.
Foodwise, it's okay. It's located in a strip mall within Thai town. There's other better options within the center in my opinion.
I would recommend exploring the other smaller restaurants instead.
Seasoning and taste are pretty average/basic compared to the other thai restaurants.
The one thing I did enjoy was the giant grilled shrimp. It comes in 3 pieces, but it's pretty jumbo. Seasoning was good!! Dipping sauce complimented it well.
**There's also a 3% credit card surcharge charge. It doesn't make sense at all. I didn't see any indication of the notice of the surcharge around the restaurant until the bill was received.
After living 2 year in Thailand here a little review. Pad kra pao ( holy Basil leave )taste was good but meat somehow a bit off ( tried several restaurants and once it’s the most common dish in Thailand it’s somehow hard to find in la the way it’s done over there). Had yum ( glassnoodle salad ) and khao niao mamuang ( mango sticky rice ) which was extremely good. I would say this was one of the best places we ate so far.
Thai Patio has generous portions and affordable prices. There’s plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors, and the location is super convenient. Parking is confusing and valet only which is upsetting, but that is true for any restaurant in this plaza.
Be sure to tell the staff if you don’t eat meat, I got tofu pad thai and it came with spam/ham chunks which was really disappointing. Every other dish I’ve tried was really tasty and I always had leftovers for the next day which is a plus. I’ve never heard live music here like the other reviews mention, but the atmosphere is comfortable.
This is our new favorite Thai restaurant in the area. The portion is huge. Yes huge. The taste is not as good as the other Thai restaurant in the same plaza but not that behind. They have plenty of seats and the service time was ok. This is a handicap friendly facility. Parking is valet only with only $3 with validation.
Cheap, big food. Sign me up.
The food was great from 1-10 would give 8. However the pricing are ridiculous for credit card they up charge 3% more.
This will be my first and last going there
Pad thai is delicious 😋.
Food was great, portions great for the price, not the fanciest on the inside but the staff were appropriately attentive and very friendly - we’ll be back. There is valet parking but we got there around 4pm and the valet hadn’t set up yet so we got to park for free.
The food was just ok, not that great. The atmosphere was so so, could use some interior upgrade. However, the service by the staff was very good.
Food was amazing and delicious. Served pretty fast, calamari was perfect. Definitely recommend.

Great food. 10 to 15 min they will have your food served. 3 times a week I come to Thai Patio. Always, great food and great service. I do love Thai food!
Great food and amazing service..
Delicioso!!!
Food decent nothing special. BEWARE of different price then what they show you. ALWAYS ask for reciet. They sneakily add 1.05 to my bill. Sneaky!
I got food poisoning from the daily special. I had to cancel all of my plans the next day to recover. My friend did not get food poisoning.
One of Thai Town's secret gems!
A nice hidden gem in the heart of Thai town. I arrived and was greeted with a nice welcome. Got seated right away. Within couple minutes my order was taken. The lunch specials are under ten dollars.
I orders a papaya salad for starters. Then the yellow curry lunch special that comes with an egg roll and salad. Also with steamed rice.
The food was outstanding and enjoyed every bite with the soup y flavor. You have a large private parking lot and street parking.

Ordered mango sticks rice and they gave me a pit

This place rules! Lunch special goated
Good food and reasonable prices
I have been here three times and twice have experienced very unprofessional servers who very rude, right now I’m just leaving this place annoyed couldn’t even take my takeaway today thanks to the server called Feng I promised never to come back again.
I am blown away with the food. SATAE CHICKEN, PORK BELLY, COMBO FRIED RICE. DAMN, FELT LIKE I WAS TRANSPORTED BACK TO THAILAND. BRINGS BACK GOOD MEMORIES. CUSTOMER SVC. WAS GREAT. OUTDOOR SEATING IS NICE.
I love coming here! My favorite meal is the Pad See Ewe!
ยำเนื้ออร่อยมากกกกก รสชาติไทย 100% พนักงานบริการดี สุภาพ และใส่ใจ

Best belly pork salad ever.
Get the mango fish, pad Thai is pretty much the same as other places. Just get the mango fish.
Beat Thai food in Hollywood.
They provide the worst customer service, and are always rushing people in and out. They are horrible over the phone and have been known to put people on hold and forget about them. They also have a bad habit of hanging up when they don’t understand. It also tastes like low quality meat now, resembling rubbery. The are very stingy with the shrimp and unfortunately I’ve been coming her since they opened and got so disappointed this last time that I will never return. They have a very authentic restaurant on top of the super market next door called Thai cuisine that I strongly recommend. Also they are NOT PET FRIENDLY.
We had the giant garlic shrimp and it was de-li-cious!
They have a chill vibe, respectful and attentive but don’t keep coming to your table to interrupt.
Outdoor seating, ice-cold beers, no frills, servings are huge, you can definitely feed two not very hungry people with one dish.
Parking facilities and two great Thai sweet shops next to it. One of them is the famous Kanomwaan ;)
All in all, great value for money.
Update review:
I recently dined at Thai Patio and had a wonderful experience. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with tasteful decor and comfortable seating. The menu offered a great variety of traditional Thai dishes, each bursting with authentic flavors. I particularly enjoyed the Fried Egg Rolls and Drunken Noodles with beef, both cooked to perfection. The staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed. Overall, it was a delightful meal, and I highly recommend Thai Patio for anyone craving delicious Thai cuisine.

First time eating here, we ordered sampler platter & chicken satay to start and they were really good. For main course i got fried filet fish basil (it was overly salty) and my friend had green curry chicken (it was very good). We were there around 8pm and it was pretty busy so basically no service at all...the waitress just took the order & dropped the check (after asking many times for the check) never checked our table whether everything was right or not. Since the food was pretty close to authentic thai food, i would come back to try something else on the menu.
Not your traditional Thai. Water down for none thai food lover. It tossed out the classics of what thai food ought to be.
The food was low quality and expensive. I don't think I am coming back.
Came from Palm Springs for the day to take in Griffith park and Thai town. This restaurant isn't fancy, but the food is amazing and you always get the nicest service.
For the price YES. Delicious traditional Thai. Not fancy.
Really good Thai desserts and sides.
Food was terreble
Not going back. Sorry

Food is good👍 but one of the waitress here demands for tips. She added a 15% tip (almost 5 dollars) to our check!! We didnt even give permission for that. I usually give tips in money. This is not fair because as the customer you should have autonomy over the tips, do better! 😭😭
Los Angeles is blessed with a few Thai restaurants which can offer a taste Thailand out of Thailand. This restaurant, however is not one of those places. The dishes tried here tasted wrong. The seasoning was way off with no salty or umami flavors, as if they ran out of fish sauce. The spice was muted and vinegary as if they were using bottled chili garlic as opposed to fresh sliced Thai chili peppers. This is baffling since they are located one door from a Thai grocery, which sells both fresh Thai chilis, and several brands of high quality fish sauce. It’s unclear to me if the cook lacked proper training, or if the dishes have been altered to lower cost or perhaps to appeal to farang tastes. Irregardless, the food was not delicious.
I Ordered a sea bass, it was tough and unpleasant. The beautiful waitress had a very poor attitude. The worst experience, the worst Thai restaurant. Please, the owner should do something
Absolutely incredible food! Most of the dishes are meant to be shared… And I highly suggest getting adventurous and having a blast trying fun and new things! Their Currys are out of this world. They have the best pad Thai and all of Los Angeles. Their soups are sensational, and served beneath a flame to stay hot! Extremely friendly staff, lots of comfortable seating… Easy to park… Parking lot during the day… Valet at night. Valet is free. There’s also lots of easy street parking.
Everyone I bring here loves the food ‘ best thai food in town !
Una interesante propuesta gastronómica.
I really liked the delicious taste of the food, but the most surprising thing is that I arrived with body pain after having done a lot of exercise the day before and the soup took away the body pain that I had, the Tom Yum soup based on Herbs helped me a lot.
Great food!
This place rules. We come here all the time. Anyone not giving this place at least 4 is just trolling.
Service is not that great.overall,It's ok.
Some of the best food I’ve had. I recommend going here completely. The servings are large and somewhat cheap, as well as being very tasty.
The curry was not impressive. Decent prices. Beware. They have a credit card surcharge now and I didn't know about this until I was paying.
Why all there food have too many sugar in it?!! I am Thai and every Thai restaurant I eat there food is so sweet!! Really respect Laos food better because is all about spice and not only sugar like hai food! Diabetic stay away!!!
Best food and service
bad customer services , one of the ladies working here asked me to give her a tip , as if i don’t tip some of the waitresses there. you don’t ask for tips you earn tips from your performance and kindness. do better to the female im talking about.
xoxo 💋
That BBQ Chicken had NO BUSINESS being that good for less than $10. It tastes like they marinated it down to a molecular level, it was so good. My only regret is not buying an extra one for lunch.🤷🏾♂️🥲
A really nice place, great food and vegan friendly!
Thai Patio is a goto place for everything Nice. Thanks for many happy occasions.
amazing food, and fast service, and felt very fresh since it seemed like every plate was made right away!!
This is our new favorite Thai restaurant in the area. The portion is huge. Yes huge. The taste is not as good as the other Thai restaurant in the same plaza but not that behind. Craving Thai food and wanted a place where we could bring our small dog. Since they had outdoor seating, Thai patio was perfect place. The service was fast and friendly and the food was very delicious. The portion size was also huge so you definitely get your money’s worth here. We ended taking half the food home to enjoy the next day. Excited to go back and try some other dishes on their extensive menu.
Charged $3 for a small biwl of bean sprouts, they were missing on the pad Thai so I don't consider that my problem or my cost. Beyond that, the pad Thai was just okay. At least it wasn't ridiculously sweet for the typical American palette. The Massaman was horrible, the meat was tough like leather, there was no onion or peanuts from what I could tell. The potatoes and carrots weren't cut with a knife, they had a corrugated edge, something like you get out of a can. I asked the waitress how she was doing and we first got there and she said it was slow, now I know why.
Excelente comida y muy buenas cervezas. Probar el Pad thai y la cerveza thailandes
Came here today and the food is good but the service wasn't good. They served us halfway water and weren't filled up. They only check on us once. They were under staff. The server walk pass by us multiple time and made eye contact with us but walk away knowing we needed her. One of the server was wearing a green top today. She looked like a manager instead of a server. But I may be wrong. My friend pay the bill and left a 5 dollar tip. Due to bad service we still tip. The server in the green. Shirt came out halfway to pull my friend on the side and ask why we only tip 5 dollar. She ask if the food wasn't good. My friend said the food was good. She did spilled half of our papaya sauce when she brought our food to the table, infront of us. The server had the audacity to ask us to give her 15 dollar tip. I was so shocked because by they have bad service and she expected us to give her 15 dollar tip? My friend is nice and decided to tip her regardless the bad service. By california state law, you as the customer can refuse to tip or ask the restaurant to remove the gratuity. She basically ask for a tip that she didn't deserve at all. At least we still tip her something. I mean we could of just tip her and left without pay the bill. It was so uncomfortable, and she was desperate to the point where she beg us for tip. I didn't like how she made us feel and tried to guilt trip us into giving her more money for tip.
Muy buenísimo recomendado 👌
I went to eat today 08/29/2023 at around 5:30pm. Horrible food and service. Fried rice was stale and the garlic chicken and pork jerky were way too salty. Not to mention the forks still had food residue on them. Disgusting. I asked for plastic forks and the waitress said she can only give me one fork and a spoon with a horrible attitude. When I paid, the waitress asked me about why I didn’t give her a tip. I told her that the food was horrible and the services was horrible too. It’s not an obligation to give tip especially when the service and food was very bad. Never coming back.
This is a very quiet kept secret in Thai Town. It doesn't have all the fancy flair that other Thai restaurants have. However it DOES have what most Thai restaurants lack....AMAZING FOOD! I would highly recommend trying this place out if you're in the area, or not too far from it, and you have a taste for Asian cuisine. My new favorite is the Crispy Pork Belly. The Wild Boar is good also.
Boa qualidade para o preço. As doses são muito bem servidas (4 doses foi demais para 5 pessoas). Pessoas simpáticas.

Great food!
The sticky rice was a day old or so, best not to order it unless it's freshly made. The food portions are plenty for everyone to eat.
Sii nice
Pattern how are you??? I don't know, I think you don't remember me anymore. We open the first Thai Patio at Fairfax & 3rd. You have work for me, my name is José
Very Nice food
I love this place, they just seem to be inconsistent with food quality. One time my pad see ew was BURNED. Because of the inconsistency, I don’t eat here anymore, but when it’s good, it’s really good.
Un sitio maravilloso, las personas se comportaron amables y serviciales. Volvería sin duda alguna 🩵❤️🩷
I used to love this place, but the food quality and taste varies drastically every time I visit them. Sometimes is great, but lately I couldn’t even take the third bite since it was awful. Would suggest other Thai restaurant, there are several in the same area..
Haven't been here in years. Had dinner Friday night, and I was underwhelmed. We sat outside and the tables and chairs were dirty . Orange chicken was way overcooked and dry. Bbq chicken and chicken fried rice were good, huge portion of fried rice, enough for 3-4 people. though the restroom doesn't have a sink, you have to wash your hands in the hallway. Probably won't go back.
family of 3 ate here for dinner on a friday.
Food
1) Yellow curry (tofu) - 0/5
2) Omelette (chicken) - 2/5
3) Thai milk tea - 3.5/5
Yellow curry was inauthentic, watery and lacked flavour, not particularly resembling Thai cuisine. Portion size was small for the price. Omelette had a good portion size and was more authentic, but was quite oily and dry. The main issue with the omelette was that you couldn’t taste any chicken. The Thai milk tea was good but nothing exceptional.
Service:
Our waitress didn’t ask us if we needed anything and was a bit slow in attending to us when we needed to order/pay the bill.
Atmosphere: Neither American nor Thai. The restaurant was dimly lit and could be cleaner.
We expected better Thai food in Thai Town, hopefully other Thai restaurants in this area are better.
The food were good, unfortunately the owner daughter shouldn't be force to work as a waitress, serving me wth an attitude in which we don't do anything to her, please don't force your child to worked if not been well trained, please asked other waitress to confirmed wth the rest,Thankyou
Food wasn't good here at all. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Came with my wife on a Sunday afternoon and there were barely any people here. We ordered Thai boat noodle, papaya salad, Thai beef jerky and a side of rice. Oddly enough, the Thai boat noodle came out first and then it took forever for our papaya salad, Thai beef jerky and side of rice to come out. When the papaya salad and Thai beef jerky finally came out, they forgot our side of rice. How is that possible with the restaurant basically empty?
Located in Thai Town of Los Angeles. Went here for lunch. 1st if all, portions were huge compared to typical Thai restaurants in America. Yes, I’ve eaten at hundreds of Thai restaurants in various states. Prices were reasonable. Service was quick & attentive. Lastly foods were very good. Our favor was the Nam Tok beef salad. The grilled beef was good, but the Nam Tok was better with the salad dressing & toasted rice powder & fresh basil. The Pad See Ewe with fried tofu was on point, thick fried tofu was unique. Tom Kha with chicken soup was very good due to the flavorful & aromatic broth. The chicken meat & mushrooms were OK. The eggplant with pork was tasty & cooked perfectly, not overdone. Overall very satisfying. 2 thumbs up.
Our waiter was weird & prejudiced. Sat us in the very back of the restaurant despite there being many seats available. Didn't even ask us if we'd like to sit anywhere else. Had I been alone I would have left as soon as I walked in and felt her rude energy. Shouldn't be allowed to serve in a restaurant if you can't handle seeing people of another race. Restrooms were gross and they have junk in the back.
The portion sizes here are very generous and affordable! I really enjoyed the fried tofu appetizer and fried pork riblets (I think that's what they were). Everything else was a bit too sweet--too much sugar--for my palette. Regardless, it was a great and affordable place to dine. We fed six people for roughly $20 per person including tips. That's a pretty good deal.
love this place!most recommended.
Server demanded a higher tip. Didn’t order much and ordered shrimp rolls to go
These people follow me to the parking lot to asked me for more tip money they told us that is the law of California this is the first time it happen to me that is so embarrassing shame of you.
The food was incredibly greasy. The pad see ew should have been gorgeous but it wasn't. It was overwhelming with oil. And completely lacked in flavor. The tofu did not have any seasoning at all and was just placed on the top of the pre mixed noodles. The sticky rice had a tear in the clingfilm which made 40% of it in edible because it was completely dried out. I will not order from here again.
Horrible service never once offered to refill our drinks and when i ask them for a refill they acted mad and at the end of the service even tho they didn't do a great job i still left $5 tip (it was only 2 people dining) they demanded 20% tip i told them thats all i was gonna tip cause of the service then she said " then next time order to go" like im going to be back
Food is okay, but poor costumer services.
Great food.
This is not a Thai restaurant. Eat somewhere else. I should have just waited in line at another place. 90% of the menu is typical Americanized Chinese dishes. I should have reviewed the lowest reviews first. I ordered the fried trout. I don’t think I’ve ever eaten such overcooked fish. The texture was similar to jerky. The green onions were cut improperly.
What a Thai experience my sister and I had today. The food was BOMB! We ordered some orange chicken, pineapple rice and some pad si yu or however that dish is spelled 🤣 and lo and behold it made us feel like we were in Northern Thailand. This restaurant deserves respect for cooking excellent Thai food. The cooks and the employees are extremely excellent. I'll be coming back.
Long story short they stole money from my card without my knowledge, until I check my bank statements, the food is just the worst besides the place is disgusting food on the floor, dirty tables, costumer services was bad to be honest.
Great food at a great price!
Great
My husband and I used to love this place because the food and service were good, but then tonight my husband took his sister and her family here and the service was deplorable because this new Asian gal with blonde hair had a negative attitude the entire night and treated them VERY badly. I will no longer recommend this restaurant to ANYONE as long as this lady is working here, and I will make sure to leave highly negative feedback on social media too.
Our family's favorite Thai food in the city. I highly recommend it for the food, the clientele is eclectic and trendy, music is fun.
The pricing is fair

Excellent food value, good with large portions
Great lunch prices for really tasty food.
Good thai food!
This is a great Thai spot! The complex has cheap valet parking ($4 for 2 hours!), the restaurant has plenty of seating and food came out quick. Great customer service and lots of food, especially for the price. We asked for our meals spicy and it wasn’t very spicy so make sure to let them know you can handle it. Would definitely come here again to try something else from their extensive menu.
Apart from seeing cockroaches near the tables and chairs, the service was terrible. Instead of refilling drinks and asking if everything was good, the four waitresses were gossiping with each other. They knew that six of us were dining, but they didn’t bring four more dishes since there were only two dishes on the table. When we let them know that we didn’t feel that the customer service was satisfactory in a respectful manner, they didn’t seem to care at all.
Thai patio is really comfortable and provides excellent service. The food is reasonably priced and the portions are good size. The food was tasty even though I could have taken it a slight hotter in temperature it still was good for what we paid have to try this spot at least one or two more times it's way far from my house but it was worth the drive especially the service our waitresses were so sweet they're so attentive and the atmosphere of the place is very comfortable I love it.
Really bad place.don’t go !!!!!
Also stole my money by adding tips i was put zero !
Tasty Thai food, ample seating areaand lower price compared to nearby competitors. Although large parking area, it's within a plaza with other shops so it can be tricky to find a spot. On a major LA street (Hollywood Blvd).
