A nice Thai place. The sausage is amazing but the rest of the food is honestly not the greatest.

I have had same same a few times and had a wonderful experience. This evening I got here an 10pm and though they’re open until 11, their sign said closed but their door was open. I asked if I could still order and they told me I could order to go. I ordered, and my food was then ready in 5 minutes which was technically great except the quality was so bad , it was impossible to eat! So so so oily, the noodles not really resembling the pad see ew dish at all, and way too hot to consume I’m so disappointed by this experience.

Fabulous restaurant and loved sitting at the kitchen counter watching all the action. The food was spectacular and watching the efficiency on how the Chef directed everyone was amazing. Having worked in the industry for 15 years and personally having managed restaurants, I was still blown away.

The best Thai restaurant in Silverlake! Every dish we tried was amazing! My favorite was the drunken noodles and my partner liked the Pad See Ew. Everything was seasoned well, not too oily, and tasted authentic. This restaurant is a hidden gem and I will definitely be back.

Ordered delivery via doordash and it took 2 hours for the food to be ready for the driver to pick it up. We called and very kindly asked to understand what was taking so long and they failed to give us an explanation other than “we’re busy.” Absolutely laughable service. These guys need to figure their kitchen situation out.

They offer solid prices on beer and a nice selection of food (~$7) for happy hour. We tried the chicken wings which were TINY but absolutely delicious! Salty and crunchy - the perfect snack. I tried the pad thai which was a little to sweet and saucy for me. Service is just okay: my friend ordered pork with a side of rice and she got the rice long before the pork. We had to ask when her main dish was coming out before the waiter acknowledged it was late.

They have a small lot out in front. It didn’t get crowded on Saturday night until 8pm. Good for small groups, and bar seating is available if you just want to get a quick drink or dinner.

An excellent place for Thai fusion. They haven't held back on the heat for the dishes with 🌶️ signs - you'll feel your pores and sinuses open up to welcome the amazing flavors of the dish.

The space is extremely loud. Otherwise, the food and service are great. I recommend the Chicken Satay appetizer.

LOL at the person who said this place is "no Pok Pok"- I worked at the original Pok in PDX and can confirm Same Same exceeds in every relevant metric- service, price, and quality of food.

The music was a little too loud for me but the server turned it down a bit after my request, and I really appreciate it! I liked the dim sum, but the sticky mango rice was delicious and my favorite ❤️❤️

I have been here 4 times, dining in. I was double charged for either an entree or a drink 3 out of those 4 times. I brought it to the attention of the server and it was reversed each time. It's too repetitive to seem like a coincidence. 3 times seems shady. I suggest looking over your bill closely before paying. Otherwise the atmosphere was great, wine selection was solid, food was flavorful.

I came here around 530 pm on a Saturday night and there was no wait yet. They had happy hour from 5 to 7 p.m. on food and drinks! The atmosphere is super cute, they have umbrellas hanging from the ceiling, neon signs and the lighting is dim and romantic. They do have a bar and some big booths for larger parties. The tables are close together, so if you don't like sitting really close to people you don't know you may want to sit at their high top tables or the bar.
Service was really good, quick, friendly and had good knowledge of the food. I got their vegan Pad Thai, it was the best pad thai I have ever had. It was so delicious, very flavorful. I added tofu to it, you can choose to add vegetables instead of tofu. Let them know it's vegan so they don't put fish sauce in it. We also got an apple spice salad for an appetizer, it was good. Sliced apples with a lemon vinegerette and spice. My friend and I each got pad Thai and shared an appetizer and it was only $40. Pretty good pricing for the area and for how good the food was.
They do have a parking lot but it's tiny, parking is not fun in this area, so plan ahead. When we left around 7ish there was a wait. It gets packed.

We have been ordering delivery from here for over 6 months. Truly loved it, almost ordered weekly. Then over the past 8 weeks when we have ordered the same dishes taste awful! Burnt and over sauced. No sure what is going on. We tried to order recently and it just doesn’t taste the same. Super disappointed as we were such loyal customers.

Great service!! Wonderful chicken pad thai!!! I wish the Thai ice tea would have been sweeter but otherwise a great vibe, and music! It was really busy here tonight. Tim was really sweet!! Give her a raise or lots of tips 😁 There was no parking in the tiny parking lot but thankfully there was street parking nearby.

The food was delicious and authentic and they accomodated our vegan request. There was a general lack of good vibes except for one female barman (I wish I knew her name. She wore a miniature jacknife necklace) who was fantastic and did manage to make up for the snooty service from the first barman who seemed to be upset that we were bothering him by being there. If it weren't for her, I would have rated this place lower.

As a lover of Thai food, I especially appreciate the delicious food and interesting menu at Same Same. Also LOVE the vibe in the restaurant. This is one of my go-to spots when someone is visiting from out of town and I want to take them somewhere that epitomizes the quality, flavours and atmosphere that the Los Angeles food scene is known for.

Appetizers came out scorching hot, where the employee responded: “Better hot than too cold!” Which I laughed & agreed.

The sangria is not sangria, but a very strong cocktail which looks pretty, but lacks that fruity essence. I did like that it wasn’t super sweet.
The Thai tea also isn’t super sweet, which is great and it tastes amazing. Plus they use coconut milk, which is a huge plus.

The food we ordered was the red curry with brown rice and crab noodles.
Flavor was insane good. Out of this world. The curry was too spicy for me, but it’s supposed to be, plus the rice was perfect and the entire dish was superb. They knocked it out of the park.

Unfortunately, the noodles in the crab noodle dish were overcooked and chewy and stretchy. The crab was phenomenal and the flavor was really impressive, but it was overshadowed by the lack of ‘snap’ in the noodles themselves.

The real Hail Mary was the price.
We started with happy hour pricing and ordered the cocktail and two apps then had two Thai teas and two entrees all for only $66
It’s nice to go out and not have to break the bank.

The waiter is always rude. She always has something to say. The wait time for food on late weekend is 35 minutes plus. Food is ok but not worth it.

I'm a food delivery driver so I've never tried their food but this rating is for the attitude of that one young lady at the store. She needs to learn some manners especially that she's the one dealing with customers.

They have a fun happy hour menu! The food is decent, but if you're looking for legit Thai food just hop on over to Thai town just a few minutes away. However, that's not really why you're coming to Same Same (or Song). You are here for a good time, you want to try some fun wine (Txakolina), and order at least two plates of their crispy, delicious fried chicken wings.

Other good things: sticky rice, laarb, somtum.

Chicken skewers with peanut sauce is way sweet but a hefty amount of protein. Green curry is ok.

Get their coconut flan.

Delicious food and great atmosphere! Get the pudding at the end, it is delicious.

Beware of their shrimp fried rice that they label with "spicy prawns fried rice" and upsell. They murder the shrimp so you can't tell that they are just selling you overpriced shrimp fried rice. They even claim what they are doing is ok since "shrimp and prawns" are the same thing. Delusional owners!

Five of us ordered a mix of dishes and ate family style. All of it was excellent. The Graw Pow (pork belly) was mouth watering. The unexpected Omelette is so fluffy and delicious. And the Pad Thai was amazing! Not sweet like many places in town, but flavorful and spicy. Thankfully we remembered to order the morning Glory, so spicy but you can't stop eating it cuz it's so good..

Amazing happy hour. Very spicy food, so ask for mild if you're sensitive to that 🔥! Have literally only had amazing meals here. Service is great. Carryout is also available and they seem to do a lot of business through delivery apps, but I recommend coming in and enjoying the atmosphere! Parking is slim in the lot, but street parking isn't terrible.
