In the heart of Thai Town serving Hollywood and late night crowds authentic Thai food for 25 years!
This is my favorite thai restaurant in LA. I have been a long term customer here since 2018. Very authentic and delicious thai food, packed with flavors in my mouth.
Also, I am happy to see their prices are not inflated like crazy like other restaurants in 2025. You can tell this is a honest business with a loyal customer base.
P.s. The spicy raw shrimp is very spicy haha, but i love it! The sauce brings me back to Thailand.
One of my favorite Thai food restaurants in the area. Compared to southern Thai-style restaurants, this place has more natural flavor instead of using strong spices. Curries are more liquid, and fresh meat (dark meat) is used instead of more chewy breast meat. Expect some wait even at 5 p.m. on a Sunday, but the taste is worth it.
Food is decent, but nothing special. I don’t think it’s worth the hype and the wait. Outside wait time for us was twice longer than the actual dining time. We were seated after 40 minutes. Waitress brought the check 15 mins after food is delivered. No water refill. $3 parking
Been here about 5x now and it’s one of my fave Thai places in LA.
The cons: parking in the area can be hard to find, sometimes there’s a wait, it’s not a place to have a long drawn out dinner (because it’s so popular but I’ve never felt rushed).
The pros: food is fantastic, lots of variety, even if there’s a wait it’s never that long, pretty standard pricing as well maybe even cheaper than some other Thai places.
Fave dishes: northern Thai sausage (insanely good), any of the curries, boat noodles.
Everything else is fantastic as well but those are the stand outs I’ve tried. Haven’t had one bad dish.
I ordered a pickup from this restaurant on their official website, and the experience was incredibly disappointing. I ordered five items, but when I got home, I realized one item (the turnip egg) was missing, and instead of the pork leg, they gave me eggplant fried tofu. I called the restaurant to find out a solution, but they insisted they packed the correct items. Seriously, where did the eggplant tofu come from if they packed it right? And what about the random rice? I sent all the evidence via message, but they refuse to answer calls or give me a refund. Terrible service, don't order from this restaurant again.
Did a pickup order but realized they missed the shrimp cake. Tried to call multiple times but no one answered, just a voice saying “currently we are busy” I’m so disappointed.
Apparently the same situation happened to many others now that I’m reviewing their reviews. Seriously???!!!
Update:
called again and finally got through but she laughed and questioned why I’m calling several days later and hanged up my call. Extremely rude, will never order again. Please go somewhere else for better Thai food and better service.
I ordered a variety of dishes at this restaurant, including shrimp paste fried rice, pad thai, and chow mein. The shrimp paste fried rice was particularly outstanding, with incredible flavours. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking Thai food in Los Angeles; it's a true staple.
Ordered the spicy duck curry, panang curry and shrimp cake. The duck curry was unfortunately underwhelming, the shrimp cake was ok. Had food poisoning symptoms later that day.

Delicious hot & fresh food for a reaspnable price
Best pad kee mao I’ve had so far. Indescribably good. Fried just so the noodles are dry. Green curry was solid and crab fried rice was not bad, though would prefer just rice and curry next time. Pork jerky (fried, heavily seasoned pieces served with a sharp, spicy sauce) are sensational and would great with a beer.
They take credit card now, but will pass a 4% fee.
The highlight of my trip to LA. will revisit whenever I have the chance.
Fantastic curry. Great food all together. I’ve tried most of their dishes and have not found a bad one. Very decent food.

Incredible flavour, great and speedy service. Warning: “spicy” means spicy!
Great food! The Coconut Chicken Soup was incredible and some of the best soup I've ever had!
I was hoping for amazing food. It was good but not amazing. I'm sad. All very decent. Good service. No complaints. I just went with very high expectations.
The food is perfect, been here many times! I wish service would be a little more attentive! Not sure if they expect tips, I give them, but may be I should stop. So.ple things like water and check should be able to arrive to table ;)
server changed us extra for ordering a drink with less ice. When we asked the server about the extra charge. She rolled her eyes and replied:” you asked easy ice so we added more milk. You understand?”. This was the first time I got questioned in a restaurant. Server should’ve let us know the extra charge in advance.

First time trying Ruen Pair with friends. Delicious Thai cuisine (tom yum with fish, shrimp paste fried rice, morning glory with crispy pork, roasted duck curry, steamed white rice) with a busy and exciting ambiance. Definitely try the Thai gelato place two doors down too!
Good value, authentic Thai food. Better than most other fancy thai restaurants in LA.
Gratuity forced! it was five of us and they still decided to tip themselves $12 without giving us any notice. The lady didn’t even give us time to order she kept trying to take the menus from us 🙄. The food was ehhh but you can tell it’s old and just reheated. The plates looked very dirty like if they didn’t properly clean them before serving new food never coming again
The food was good! My favorite ones were the Thai fried egg salad and the pork hock over rice. Recommended to dine in on weekdays if you don't want to wait in the long line. The staff was nice and the food doesn't take too long!
Pork feet rice 🍚 nice
This is the best Thai food in Southern California
Fav 😍
They choose who they want to please. The place is poor quality. Good lock
Morning glory is a spiritual experience

We dined here as a group of four and ordered eight dishes, expecting to enjoy a leisurely meal. Unfortunately, our experience was marred by the waitress's attitude. Despite being there for less than an hour, she repeatedly tried to rush us out, asking five times in various ways if we were ready to leave. Questions like "Do you need boxes?" "Are you ready for the check?" "Are you finished?" (twice), and finally, "Cash or card?" made us feel extremely unwelcome. We consistently informed her that we were not finished, yet the interruptions continued. POOR SERVICE!
I had a strong image and I followed it here. Papaya salad with salty black crab is wonderful. The crab looked somewhat like the strange materials you found soaking in fluids at the bottom of a dumpster, and to chomp and growl into it profoundly shifted the vibe of the day, which was needed. Thank you.
I’ll be honest I was disappointed because this place came so highly recommended. It’s was a greasy little spoon with mediocre quality food. Seafood soup was straight up frozen seafood from a bag, I was so disappointed. Also the table and chairs were so sticky and greasy I was completely turned off. Waitress was not friendly, kinda pushy and talking to another waitress in her language, probably talking mess about us. I can’t recommend this spot. Really wanted to like it having just returned from Thailand.
How can you handle seafood like this? They don’t even clean the outside and they’re also proud. There’s no service at all and no cleanliness in the room.
Pay for parking inside the tiny lot plaza. We were the first in line and as soon as the restaurant opened, it filled up right away. The service was fast and efficient. I don't know the food we ordered but they all tasted fresh, crunchy, all the flavor profiles you encounter at a good Thai joint. My first time and will be returning.
Expect a bit of a wait but well worth it. No frills Thai classics made excellently. The soups are fantastic, and they are great at hitting the right level of spice on dishes. Very fast service. Really great spot.
Crowded noisy and excellent!
A cute bustling place with great food. I was stoked with the Tom Kha and my girlfriend got the Pad Thai. Super delicious and a good price.
Entitled servers….Food was OKAY, there are so many other places in LA that are better…..but my real issue was the service. The staff were to busy getting in big parties of people that they completely forgot about our table, no water was provided, food took forever to come out and the server had an attitude every time you asked for something and not once did they ask if we needed something else. All of that would’ve been okay, I’m not that picky but when it was time to pay I decided I did not want to leave a tip; mind you we were a table of 3 so it’s not like they had a huge group to tend to, I understand if it’s a big group tips are to be expected…..She had the nerve to ask me directly why I did not leave a tip, I asked if it was mandatory she said no. when I explained why and my issues with the service she proceeded to tell me that the tip is because they brought my food out. I was appalled that she was haggling me for a tip, for simply “serving your food” I then told her you want a tip for doing the most basic part of your job? I’m a very generous tipper but their lack of service did not warrant a tip. Tips aren’t mandatory and you should never hassle your customers for it if they had a bad experience. I paid my meal and left. Horrible people and horrible service, there are so many other places to choose from.
Certainly one of the best places in Los Angeles for Thai food! I love getting the rice porridge with other dishes. Their Son Thom Po is one of the best salads of its kind I've ever had. I love their black eggs with fried basil. I've had most of their menu and there is not one thing on this menu that I didn't love
I've been coming here for over 21 years now and they never disappoint, like ever. The food is authentic and was recommended by a woman who was raised in Phuket, Thailand.
My faves in are:
Papaya salad with blue crab (get a pain sticky rice for dipping)
Padseew
Sate
Green curry
Cha Po
Pad thai
and of course the sea food hot pot!
Seriously though, you can't go wrong with anything on their menu. Everything is exceptional! 😋🤤
Authentic Thai food on pair with eating it in Thailand. Delicious and worth the wait.
Surprised how busy it was, considering the food was pretty average and relatively expensive. Meat was very dry and it was not spicy at all - we had ordered medium spicy. The service and friendliness was lacking. I’ll go somewhere else next time.
Everything is so salty. Tasty bit salty.
Great Thai food
favorite thai place. fast, great food, NO NUDES!
SERVICE is bitter here the servers have a this upset looking faces LOL. SMILE man!
Food is EXCELLENT but due to service I don’t come here anymore
It doesn’t fail, I have keep waiving to ask for everything
They see you and ignore you!! NO BUENO
I go to Central Thai and Hollywood Thai where servers are HAPPY
just ridiculous u can only order online& I look online & not accepting orders! til March 18th!🤔😲 it's march 16th! wth!
Pork foot meat is just average. The raw shrimp is too spicy.
非常差的一个店 等半天东西不好吃,还态度恶劣,停车还要收费
Terrible service!
This is my absolute favorite Thai restaurant.Their food is truly life authentic.Everything Tj at I ordered was great!! And Service is amazing and very fast they are so kind and attentive. I feel really home here and I’m so thankful I found this place !! <3 will be back to La cuz this Thai restaurant!
The three other restaurants in the same area. It's a hard pic, so you'll have to try one at a time, especially if you're into Thai food. It's a little trafficky Harkins a little crazy but take some patience. Somebody will be getting in their car and leaving and there is valet parking. No photos. Ate everything
Absolutely delicious, authentic Thai where the flavour is balanced and clear for every dish we have tried!
As a Thai person… I LOVE THIS PLACE
The person who takes the waitlist has a very rude attitude. Being busy is not the reason for being rude. To the owner: you have built such good reviews and don’t let this person ruin it.
Got takeout from here - the food was all solid, but for having such rave reviews and being in Thai town I was expecting a little more. I would be open to trying some of their more unique dishes in the future.
- Panang and green curries with medium spice level were not very spicy, I would recommend hotter if you want actual heat. Panang curry did not come with a lot of vegetables and was on the sweeter side.
- pad see ew was solid
- the salted egg and turnip omelette was my favorite! It was a bit sweet.
Not clean at all. Staff is rude
Avoid at all cost. No respect, rude, dirty. Miscalled our names and made us wait for 30min for their mistake. Are food and had insta diarrhea , not clean and had hair. Not sure what the fuss is about
A very down to earth thai place in thai town.
been there multiple times, always a bit waiting but not horrible. Parking is valet for $4, very affordable.
Thai tea is definitely something to try as well as pineapple fried rice. If you like raw salad, shrimp salad is a must try but it could be a bit too spicy for people. Pork shank over rice is also popular dish as well as tom yum soup. The tom yum soup is not my fav because it's not creamy or sour like the style I like. will definitely go and try a few more dishes. An ideal place for a normal eating out but not the best for the first few dates because of the vibrant vibe.
I can't get enough of Ruen Pair! Located in Hollywood, this gem brings authentic Thai flavors to the heart of L.A. The chicken pad Thai is a must-try, bursting with deliciousness. The shrimp fried rice is a savory delight, and the papaya salad adds the perfect touch of freshness. The culinary experience here is consistently amazing, making Ruen Pair my go-to spot for fantastic Thai food. The friendly staff and cozy ambiance only add to the overall charm. Highly recommended for anyone craving an authentic taste of Thailand in the heart of Hollywood!
this is my togo spot for thai food ,love this place .
Having visited multiple times, I can confidently recommend the Roast Duck, Roast Duck Curry, Pad Kee Mao, Pad Thai, and Pineapple Fried Rice.
However, the curry is unexpectedly watery and doesn't come with rice, though it's remarkably tasty.
Service can be hit or miss, but generally good. This restaurant is the busiest in the area. Valet parking is available in front, and if you're patient, street parking around the block is an option.
Go with this time tested establishment of you want solid Thai food.
Fast and tasty. Get yourself a Pad Kee Mao and Papaya Salad and call it a day
I had the “duck over rice” and I almost broke a tooth ! Something was inside the rice and unfortunately I didn’t notice it before.
I recently dined at Ruen Pair, and it was an unforgettable experience. The ambiance was a perfect blend of traditional elegance and modern comfort. The soft lighting and soothing Thai music created a cozy atmosphere that transported me straight to Thailand. The service was impeccable. The staff was not only knowledgeable about the menu but also genuinely passionate about their cuisine. They offered insightful recommendations and ensured we had a delightful dining experience. Now, let's talk about the food - absolute perfection! Each dish was a symphony of flavors, with the right balance of sweet, spicy, and savory. The Tom Yum soup was a highlight, bursting with fresh herbs and succulent prawns. The Pad Thai was a flavor explosion, and the green curry was heavenly. I can't recommend this place enough. It's not just a meal; it's a journey to Thailand through your taste buds!
Best Thai food in Hollywood. Family style servings as well as individual entrees, but best come with a few friends so you can order many different dishes to share!
Average Thai food. Valet parking right outside($3 for 90mins).
Good Thai food that reminds us of Thailand. The flavorful morning glory was stir fried with likely broth, fish sauce, and some bean sauce. The crispy shrimp cake had a tangy sweet sauce. The stewed pork leg over rice was slow cooked to tenderness, had lightly pickled Chinese veggies, and a Thai chili sauce that tied everything together wonderfully.
The service was kind and fast. The atmosphere had a nostalgic old Thai feel to it.
I wanted to love the food, I really did. It looked delicious on other people's tables and reviews looked great. I stepped in and ordered takeout, I got rad na and pad see ew. Both dishes were bland and not enjoyable at all. The meat was gristly. Adding all the condiments didn't improve the bland base. There are much tastier restaurants in the area.
Great food. Busy place. Staff somewhat disorganized. Would go again any day.
It was my first visit here and I am so touched by the tastes of the food! We had the shrimp cakes, thai boat noodle soup, and pad thai. Especially I really loved the four condiments with the pickled peppers, dried peppers and the red pepper sauce. Personally I think it’t the best thai restaurant ever in my life. Definitely gonna come back again.
Ok
I would eat the fried whole fish every meal if I could. <3
離好萊塢不遠的泰國餐廳,在一個小商店街裡,附近還有其他小店,開車會收趴車費用。
餐廳採光很好,正對太陽的中午可能窗邊會很熱。
1.月亮蝦餅 Shrimp Cake($15.95)
非常好吃的月亮蝦餅,蝦漿扎實不軟爛,外皮酥脆,吃起來很有豬排的卡滋卡滋感,讓我想起了台灣曾經爆紅的金錢名氣餅。
2.乾炒河粉 PAD SEE IEW ($10.95)
炒得夠乾,夠入味,更像港式河粉的炒法,豬肉片也軟嫩好吃!!
3.炒空心菜
相對普通,入味但菜不夠清脆。
4.泰式椰汁雞 Coconut Chicken Soup Pot ($14.95)
Good Thai Restaurant in LA,surround by shopping shore in hollywood blvd.
The store has bright sunlight and clean space.
Food is quite nice, a little bit similar from wok restaurant
Strongly recommand to have a try on shrimp cake, its super crispy and succulent filled with shrimp.
Also pad see iew is really tasty and traditional as hong kong wok.
Coconut chicken soup is slightly sweet to us, we don't like it much.
BTW, services are nice, you don't have to wait for long, each plate also not expensive. Large portions so we need to wrap up food.
Expect to be here on next travel in LA!!!
Legit Thai food, lineups even on a Monday. Try the Tom Yum Pla fish soup, it's amazing.
Shrimp salad and spicy clam so good! Authentic!
Sehr lecker, gut organisiert trotz das draußen eine Warteschlange ist.
food tastes OK, not authentic but caters to non-thais. Beer was served w cold glass (good), but beer was warm (bad). Waitress, who was super nice, asked for spiciness level for each dish, which we ordered as 5/10 spicy for 2 dishes. None of the dishes had ANY spice or any visible chilis. Spiciness was ZERO out of 10. I don’t understand this: why ask for spiciness level and then completely ignore it? I didn’t feel like sending the food back - too much hassle. Hopefully they read this and do not ignore spice levels that customers order in the future. I re-iterate - it’s not that it wasn’t spicy enough (that would be understandable), the cook completely omitted ANY chilies at all.
The best thai restaurant in town for sure!
This place is OK. Better Thai in LA. The food was pretty good. Service was okay but it was somewhat busy. What you would expect from a restaurant like this. Atmosphere is okay. No paper towels in the bathroom. Kinda dingy inside but that’s the Hollywood charm. I don’t think I’d be in a hurry to go back but it is an OK standby.
This is an incredible Thai restaurant, as authentic as it gets. Mouthwatering food, and great service. Cannot recommended enough! The pork leg over rice is so delicious 🤤
This place is AMAZING! A hidden gem that you must try, and again and again and again. Try me…and make sure to get the crab fried rice.
I came around 7pm on a weekday so luckily I didn't wait too long to get a table, maybe 10 minutes wait. But this is one of the most popular Thai restaurants here so be prepared for the long waitlist during peak hours.
I ordered stew pork leg over rice and it was delicious and flavorful. The only thing I would complain is that the pork legs are all lean meat. Adding some fatty meat might make it better since I feel the fatty part is the essence of pork leg rice.
Also got the crab cake - really large portions.
I recommend the Thai ice tea! Tasty and not too heavy-flavored!
Overall is good. The restaurant might not be the best dinning environment maybe since it is a bit too crowded. All staff are friendly!
Food here is phenomenal.
Best Thai food in all of Los Angeles.
Omg. Excellent authentic Thai food. Everything was soooooooon good. Morning Glory and crispy pork bombbbb. Spicy eggplant bombbbb and the glass noodle soup coz we wanted to keep it light....ugh. so good. My new favorite spot for sure.
My favorite Thai restaurant, hands down. Pork larb is my go-to, they definitely know how to do larb, and portion size is pretty immense as well. Also love the Isaan sausage and Tom Kha/Yum, almost always go with those too, though everything from noodles to curry has been delicious in my experience (I've probably been here double-digit occasions now).
My fav! Their spicy level is for Thai people. So I’d say don’t order spicy😂
The raw blue crab papaya salad is unlike anything I’ve ever had anywhere else. Best Thai food in LA
Order everything!
The recommendation for this restaurant - one of many Thai restaurants in this part of LA - came from the parking l9t valet - and, wow, was he right! We had the Green Curry with chicken, the Larb salad, and Pineapple Fried Rice with shrimp. All were excellently prepared and spiced just as we had ordered. Our favorite - the Green Curry - was creamy and deeply flavorful. Would definitely come here again. Oh, and the Thai coffee makes a great dessert!
Great service, one of the best thai restaurant in LA. Must try.
10/10 everything here is so good! We ordered fried fish with sweet chili sauce and it was legit!
Excellent as always!
It was a little disappointing for a Thai person coming here or may be I had too high of an expectation coming to this place because I heard that this is one of the better Thai places. My stomach was bothering me after I ate the food. I had a headache and my eyes were hurting. The food was too oily. The chicken was bad quality. The only thing that was good was the Pad Prik King the green beans were pretty good. There are definitely better Thai restaurants in LA. This is just my honest opinion.
We came here base on the good reviews , the food taste good but unfortunately our whole family feel very sick and thirsty after the meal ,we don’t usually react for Msg too much but this kind of dry mouth , sick , dehydrated feeling after the meal is no fun .
In the heart of Thai Town, the food here was excellent. The flavors were authentic, and one of the best I’ve had in LA. The food didn’t feel too heavy. Great portions, so plenty for later.
The place was packed, but was only about a 30 min wait. There was a Thai dessert store, and a tea house next door so it was easy to pass the time. The wait did not disappoint.
sooo good! love the jerky pork and the soup and curry. this is one of the great thai spots in thai town.
