Thai and Vegetarian friendly
We love Thai food! One of our best meals during our LA trip was to @ruammitr_melrose !! The food was delicious! I’m still dreaming of the duck curry over their coconut rice or Pad Kee mow!! Don’t get me started on the fish! so yummy!
Great ambiance, friendly service, and great food- what more do you need? I can't wait to come back and try their wings!
Great flavors, and friendly staff. My boyfriend and I had a reservation for a table outside and they accommodated us. Although you really don't need to reserve. Small place, went there on a Monday around 7, not too busy. We ordered 2 appetizers the spicy cauliflower and the garlic edamame both good. Spicy cauliflower was really spicy, if you do not like spice might not be for you. Then I had the yellow curry and ordered a side of rice. All delicious 😋
5 out of 5 this place is great! If you're looking for a authentic Thai meal this is your choice! Fantastic food good prices and nice toss all combines equal a fantastic experience. Located near West Hollywood off of Melrose a little Hidden Gem. This place is perfect for delivery and or dining in. Everything on the menu is fantastic make sure to ask your waiter if you have a question about the food or want some things spicier or Mild they are happy to accommodate.
Super friendly employees and an amazing menu! We struggled to decide what to order because of all the options, especially with all these vegetarian options. Food seemed extremely authentic tasting and was very flavorful. Only critique I have is that I wished it was spicier, but that’s something I should have asked for myself.
Is this place open???
Called a few times during open hours. Someone picked up once but immediately hung up. Curious if they’re still in business
My fav take-out. Thank you for having so many vegetarian options!!
Ruam Mitr is one of the most slept-on Thai places in town. I think about their appetizer wings all the time.
One of the best Thai places around, amazing fake chicken options
The food is absolutely amazing!! 👏 Very nice ambiance and friendly staff. Loved it, we will come again for sure.
I was very excited to try this place as it came highly recommend by friends but when I placed an order online I honestly felt ripped off. The roti and curry came with a tiny cup of curry which was not even enough for 3 pieces of the roti.
While it tasted fine the audacity to provide 2 tablespoons of curry for 13 dollars is insulting and ruined my entire dinner. You could have at least filled the entire cup instead of going half way.
The pad Thai with chicken was decent enough though.
Great real Thai restaurant with great service.
Must try grilled fish fillet with tamarind sauce and fried rice with crab meat
Parking lot next to the restaurant
Seriously best Thai I’ve had in a long time. Incredible flavors, so fresh, with high quality ingredients. Literally couldn’t say a single bad (or even mediocre) thing. It all was amazing. We got several things each in a group of 6 people and all of us were so happy with each dish. You can’t go wrong. Great service too! Will definitely be back anytime we’re in town.
Has the best Tom Kha Gai soup on Planet Earth!
Amazing food and lovely people. I absolutely love this place and have for over 5 years now.
Thai food is my favorite and this place is the best I’ve had in la
Tom yum soup is too sweet and too greasy…. Perhaps the greasiest soup i ever tasted.
Couldn't tell the atmosphere too well vecause it was takeout
This place exemplifies what it means to be both local yet authentic to their roots. I really respect the owner and the associated staff. They know all the sources of their ingredients and work tirelessly to serve only the best to their customers. Really enjoyed the crispy fish in tamarind sauce and as far as mango sticky rice goes... This place has the best! Give them a shot.

Just got a Tom ka with chiken
Chiken is raw
Yikes
Amazing food
This place was hands down the best Thai restaurant in Los Angeles during the height of the Pandemic. I used to order this Green Curry dish every 4 days. Recently in the last 3 months the green curry dish has had no flavor and tastes like dirty dishes, what happened? it was amazing before, now it is bland and gross. Please make it good again.
Never had duck Pad Thai before, but can't wait until next time. Excellent food, little pricey though, but you would expect that given the neighborhood.
We had take out tonight and it was wonderful! The flavors were so good. Everything was fresh and I can not wait for our next order!
she supports a company that steals food bank food from disabled people. Hope Tyler F. is worth the poor rating get in bed with evil people deal with karma.
Street parking only. Make sure to check signs.
THE BEST vegan Thai food that I’ve had in Los Angeles - pad krapow is great, friendly staff, delicious wings
Food was fantastic and the staff were extremely attentive and kind. Worth supporting folks and food like these!

Best Thai food in LA, hands down. Incredible service. They are not kidding around with spice, so just know that. Very accommodating to vegetarians. I’ve been looking for cream cheese wontons without imitation crab forever!
Good food. Cozy vibes. Great service.
Amazing Thai food. My neighborhood go to
This place was great. What a unique delicious dish the Kao Soi is! Yuummm
Great flavors, and friendly staff. My boyfriend and I had a reservation for a table outside and they accommodated us. Although you really don't need to reserve. Both of the woman who work here just yelled at me and were very rude and unprofessional. Not only was it embarrassing for me but it was embarrassing for them as customers were sitting and looking.
Worst laab I ever had , don't order laab here
Slow but tasty
The Worst! The Shrimp Pad Thai flavor was difficult to categorize. Not fresh not flavorful not sweet, just weird. Worst meal I’ve had in years and it was expensive! Fried Spring Rolls were dense and the sauce was basically Karo syrup with a little color in it. The meal cost $27-horrible!! Left a bad taste in my mouth.
Ruam Mitr is hands down one of my favorite Thai restaurants in Los Angeles! I’ve tried my fair share of Thai restaurants and nothing quite compares. The food is always hot, delicious, and ready on time! I would highly recommend the Pad Kra Prow and the tofu appetizer. They are able to cater most dishes to meet your dietary needs.
Excellent fresh food
Absolutely fantastic basil fried rice and orange chicken!! Service was great!!
Excellent Pad Thai and grilled dumplings. Friendly service.
One of my favorite spots for Thai food. Great food
Very nice staff, and food is delicious. Recommend.
This is my favorite place to visit in LA for some great Pad Thai. Super delicious 😋
Very fast delicious, clean Thai with wonderful vegetarian options! My new favorite local Thai place!
Bad service the employee very rude 😒
🥡•TAKEOUT•THURSDAY•🥢🥡
It’s Thursday and we’re hoping you’re doing takeouts today!!
•
🥡 we think Thai food, besides Vietnamese food, is the ultimate takeout food because they are easily boxed and ready to serve once we’re home. And fried rice is the ultimate comfort food. So we encourage you to order takeouts 🥡 today, better yet order Thai food, & best yet order fried rice from Ruam Mitr on Melrose.
•
🥡 We had a chance to try a couple of dishes here before the latest lockdown. Their food was fresh and bursting with flavors. So yumm!! You just need to trust us and order their food today. You’ll fall in love with their food, too 🥰.

I ordered the pad Thai noodles and they were amazing!! I also loved loved the shrimp wonton soup.... so fresh and the shrimp were huge! Definitely a fave ❤️
My go to Thai spot, never disappoints! My favorite is the cashew nut and chicken Phad Thai!
Really good food with great flavor and the service was great!
Numerous vegetarian and meat options! PRO TIP: GET THE GARLIC VEGGIE CHICKEN WINGS (not listed on the menu). You’ll thank me.
Obsessed with this place! I left a review on Yelp a while back, but have to leave another one here after tonight’s meal. :) Had friends over and we picked up Ruam Mitr, and they were all raving about. The yellow curry is dope. The roti is incredible (very doughy, which I love). The cashew nut dish is so flavorful. I get it spicy. Drunken noodles are always yummy. And the vegan options are my favorite. Vegan boneless wings are crack. And the staff is great. This place is my #1!
I LOVE THIS RESTAURANT SO MUCH!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
We had a wonderful time! Great food that was served quickly! Highly recommended!
Had the Chicken. pad thai and my wife had the beef pad thai it was bomb nice quiet place to eat
We tried the curry and the flavour wasn't really good :(
Had a great lunch of duck curry. I will be back!
Do not order food from this place using delivery services. The drivers ate my food restraunt cant do anything because we used a 3rd party. Never again i order from this place. 1 hour to prepare rude staff
Amazing options for vegans and vegetarians.
Excellent Thai iced coffee, Pad Thai Shrimp, Coconut soup good. Great service, nice atmosphere, very clean. Street parking
I really wanted to like this place but it just didn’t work at all. The curries are not authentic and the ‘veggie’ chicken is disgustingly sweet and taste synthetic. The staff are super friendly though!
This is a quaint little restaurant on Melrose and is easily one of the best thai restaurants I've been to in LA. We ordered the beef pad krow, pad thai + thai tea. Thai tea was an absolute bomb. So were the other 2 dishes. We also got spicy wings and the sauce was extraordinary. This was our second time at this place and we'll just keep coming back for more.
Way to go guys! Highly recommended!
Good restaurant good service and attention.
Slow service but the food is more interesting than a lot of Thai places. Tons of vegetarian options.

Excellent food. Reasonable. Great environment.
I ordered the spicy chicken fried rice. It was one of the better ones in LA. It was spicy, but not quite overpowering, but most importantly, it had good flavor. Usually when I order spicy fried rice, I inevitably reach for the sriracha, but the flavor balanced it out.
I'm definitely coming back and getting other items in the future.
*The only drawback (and this totally isn't their fault), Milkbar JUST opened on the other side of the block, so parking is difficult*
DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE! Had a horrible and absolutely unacceptable experience with them. We ordered our food around 7:30 after reviewing the ratings and based on the comments available. We also knew their delivery timeframe was 55 to 65 minutes. We even called after 20 minutes to make sure they had received our order, which they did. An hour and a half later, we started calling to see where the food is. Phone would ring once and then go into busy signal. I tried for 10 min. My wife tried from her phone. No answer. We called yelp representative. After a few minutes, they told us that the same thing was happening to them on the two phone numbers they had on their system for this restaurant. So we started to make a meal from scratch at 9:20 pm. Delivery guy shows up at 9:30, two hours after we placed the order and after we had cancelled our order from Yelp and started a meal. This is very frustrating. The issue is that this restaurant uses their own delivery person. Obviously overwhelmed with their orders, but the consequence is that my family has to go through this kind of frustration. In business, this is misrepresentation of the product, and combined with greed (not wanting to spend a few extra bucks to hire a second delivery person while wanting to get all the business), leads to loss of customers. Will never order from this place and will let all my friends know.
Outstanding Thai food, which is saying a lot in L.A.!
Extremely friendly staff, super fast service, very very tasty food. I been to several thai on area and this one is my favorite.
Great Thai food and great service
Authentic flavors, good portion size, and a good value.
this place is definitely underrated. the food was delicious and very affordable. nice ambience and music too. definitely coming back!
OMG! This is a hidden jewel in the City of Los Angeles. Located next to the famous pink's hotdog franchise come on this incredible Thai restaurant offers some of the most excusat and delicate cuisine ever!
Food was absolutely amazing. We've been looking for good thai food and managed to find this one. So glad we went here. The Kow Soi and Chicken Pad Thai were delicious.
Has been pretty good Thai, which is hard to find in the states, however after cutting my gums quite badly tonight on some broken taken out packaging from some other order, combined with delivery driver trying to get us to go to the street to pick up our food, opinion of Ruan has dropped substantially. Ka pung kup
It deserves 10 stars. Delicious food, individually made from scratch and very friendly service. My new favorite place!
Delicious delicious delicious. I moved to the neighborhood 2 weeks ago , I have already been here 5 times .
The food tastes fresh , the service is awesome ( family business) . I love every dish on the menu . I am hooked on the all about eggplant stir fry . Wow you have to try it , you’ll love it .
Lovely family owned Thai restaurant. Bulan which use to be the veg Thai spot, now has meat options. Good veggie Thai.
Good food and good lunch specials.
This will be our first time having Ruam Mitr, I will be giving them a high score for the customer service. I will review how the food was once we have finished eating. We ordered spicy noodle with beef and fried spring rolls, I'm excited as much as I am hungry.
I can’t give these guys enough praise. This is my go to Thai restaurant, not just Vegan Thai restaurant. It’s a family business and it shows in their attention to their clients. Every time I order a delivery, it gets there 10-15 min early. Several times now the delivery came with a toy for my dog, which was so incredibly sweet of them. My husband and I absolutely love this spot and order it at least once a week.

What I order (vegetarian/vegan) :
Vegan Hot wings (amazing even if not vegan!)
Sticky rice with green curry
Pad Thai w/ vegan chicken
Pad See Ew w/ vegan chicken
So happy they have a big selection of vegan food
Great vegan options. Love this place.
I was concerned when I learned that the ownership changed from Bulan to the current Ruam Mitr... but wow, it’s even better than it was before!
Same menu, plus additional items... along with a vegan menu & regular menu.
Delicious.
Hot Wings as an appetizer is a must
Khao Soi was amazing with the crispy noodles
Iced tea was refreshing
Friendly staff
Fast service
Inexpensive
Lyft/Uber recommended

Another amazing Thai spot to add to my list of faves! Came here with a Vegan friend and was stoked to find that they have two separate menus! One with meat and one without! I got the Chicken Kow Soi and he had the Cashew dish... whatever it is. We also shared egg rolls.
Super cute, super quaint and great food! Definitely will be coming back soon!
Good Thai restaurant with a vegan menu.
Literally took 90 minutes for delivery, 35 more than they said it would. The food was cold and not very good as a result. It’s a shame because think if it were hot and fresh it would have been pretty good.
The hot wings were fun.
The yellow curry was tasty but not really a soup—better over rice. We selected the pepper steak but next time I would try something different.
The vegetable wraps were basically steamed salad wraps. They might be good in the restaurant but didn’t work with the long delivery.
This place is awesome. Really nice staff. There's a separate vegetarian menu. All the food is so good. We loved bulan and were sad to see it go, but this maybe better.
The spring rolls are amazing! Really good service and nice staff! (:
We stopped in today to check out this new place. The food was excellent! Truly delicious and they have vegetarian options to most of the dishes as well. We ordered the spicy fried rice with chicken and the yellow curry with tofu. Both tasty and nice portion sizes. We also ordered the grilled dumpling as an appetizer and it was melt in your mouth yummy! This will be one of my new go-to Thai spots. Great job:-)
