Disappointing Experience

I recently dined at ocha classic and unfortunately, it was far from a pleasant experience. The first thing that struck me was the soup I ordered; it was overwhelmingly salty and lacked any real flavor. It was as if the chef had forgotten to balance the seasoning, leaving me with a bowl of brine that was nearly inedible.

To make matters worse, the overall service did not help to elevate our meal. The staff seemed indifferent and lacked the warmth that one would hope for when dining out. A simple smile or greeting would have gone a long way in making the experience feel more welcoming, but instead, I felt like I was just another customer to rush through.

Additionally, I noticed that the bowl my soup was served in was chipped, raising concerns about safety and hygiene. It’s disheartening to see such neglect for customers’ well-being, as a chipped bowl can pose a risk while eating.

Overall, my experience at ocha classic was disappointing due to the unappetizing food, lackluster service, and concerns about safety. I hope they can address these issues, as I would love to see them improve. For now, I cannot recommend this place to anyone looking for a satisfying dining experience.

She got our order wrong and got mad when we told the server. She gave us dirty looks and stared the whole time we ate our food until we left. We couldn’t enjoy our food because every time we turned and looked up the woman was giving my family and I dirty looks. The food quality was okay, use to be delicious back 10 years ago. The customer service absolutely SUCKS. Never coming back here.

This left everyone in line confused, as we had been patient.

When I asked the waitress why she skipped us, her reaction was aggressive and unprofessional. She began shouting at us, questioning whether we were even planning to eat, and speaking to us in a foreign language in a very confrontational way. This made us extremely uncomfortable, especially for my child, who felt scared by the entire situation. We decided to leave and will not be returning. I was particularly surprised by her behavior, considering she is one of the more senior staff members at the restaurant.

I have been going to this place for years and I it has never failed to meet my expectations! The food is delicious and the wait is never too long! Please consider giving this place a try! :)

CAREFULL!!! THEY CHARGE YOU EXTRA ON YOUR BILL. MANY TIMES HAPPENED TO ME AND MY FAM. THEY ALWAYS CHARGE YOU FOR THINGS YOU NEVER ORDERED PLUS THEY DONT APOLOGIZE FOR STEELING. This was my spot to come every time I came to LA.
But there is something i saw the last time i came here that disgusted me and made me question what happens in the kitchen where we can't see them.

I SAW A KITCHEN WORKER COME OUT OF THE RESTROOM WITH GLOVES ON AND GO BACK INTO THE KITCHEN.
Now imagine what other disgusting practices happen in the back where you can't see!

They sold me an expired soda from 2022 and I didn’t notice until my kid finished it. The manager did not want to issue any refund and wanted to give me a soda for free. She told me it was the manufacturers fault not hers

I have been frequenting this restaurant for years. Over 10 years. And every time the food is delicious. Their establishment is always clean. The service is excellent. Waiters are polite and humble, please be kind they hard working people. The wait time ,even during their busiest hours, is pretty quick compared to places like Olive Garden. I recommend this restaurant. Also, they use real seafood for their spicy seafood soup. Ive visited other Thai restaurants and they use imitation crab in their soups, which is why I make the two hour drive to visit this restaurant no other has come close to their food quality, in my opinion.

If you want to go to Ocha, don’t go to this one in particular In Sunset Blvd . The others Ocha restaurants are a little bit better.

Food was dry and not hot.

Its a tiny little spot but if youre a food lover like me,let me tell you that if you go to this place on an empty stomach then you best be ready to eat allot! The orange chicken here is superb!! Crunchy, sweet and delicious!!the noodles as well and the 7 seas soup. Some advice is to watch some anime food before coming here because itll make you crave food allot more and youll enoy your meal more too.

It used to be one of my favorite places to eat Thai food for years, but not anymore. The last few times we've been there, the seafood soup has mostly fish. It only comes with 1 shrimp, but this time, I complained, and they added it 2 more shrimps, so the experience was not pleasant. Also, I don't know if the food has too much sodium or MSG, but we feel so thirsty every time we eat at this place. On the weekends, you have to wait in line outside the place because it gets too crowded. I have found better places to eat Thai food than the ocha restaurants.

Mi primer vez en esta licacion en especifico. Ordene chop suey , orange chicken , sopa de mariscos y chow mein.
Pude notar que algunos vegetales estaban rancios , rozando a lo podrido. La atencion al cliente deja mucho que desear. Al final la cuenta fue 108 dolares , lo que me parecio mucho , hasta que note los 20 dolares de propina que se auto receto el mesero. Me senti robado pero no hice ningun comentario porque tengo entendido que los administradores de este lugar no dudan en llamar la policia por cualquier reclamo , dejando a la victima en calidad de acusado. No lo recomiendo en absoluto. Mala comida , mala atencion , malas cuentas.

Great food at a great price. This is one of my family's favorite spots. Spicy sea food soup, orange chicken, pad seh un and their fried rice are the best. You can't have it all though, customer service is not great and there is usually a long wait.

Hablan en su dialecto y se burlan de los clientes y siempre mal encarados
Pero lo que me molesta y mucho y que no se si es ilegal esque ellos mismos se ponen la propina y no le dicen al cliente que ya la cobraron
Y el cliente les da otra vez.
En lo personal eso debería ser ilegal.

The orange chicken was a literally a left over fried chicken, and TBH I think they over charged me for the drinks. I tried to ask but waitress was in a hurry. I will not go back.

Small place but food is great and service

Came with the family for dinner and it was just delicious. Game took really good care of us and every single item that we ordered was scrumptious! Worth the 30 minute drive any day. 7 sea soup, combination chow mein, combination fried rice, grilled pork, and spicy chicken with onion all good and highly recommended . Don’t confuse Ocha classic with the other Ocha down the street this one is by far the better one avoid the other one if possible. Can’t wait to come again with the family and I recommend you bring yours.

Do not dine in! Unless you’re okay with styrofoam bowls and plastic utensils. You pay for over priced food and they don’t even tell you about their plastic utensils before dining in. Maybe only for take out. Also do not order broccoli beef from here. Unless you want steamed broccoli and beef with no sauce. I am disappointed in this Ocha. I won’t come back to this one. Might stick to Hollywood one.

Bad customer service and please double check your receipt as I have been upcharged! However, I asked for an itemized receipt and was able to see that they upcharged me in which they removed the amount . Don't get me wrong, the food is good but they can improve in terms of customer service and making sure they charge the customers correctly.

This place has the worts customer service. They are rude and pricey for the food. The food is not good sometime. They overcharge. Check your Bill before you paid. The place looks very dirty. I don't think I will go here again.

Never been and lived in the area for over 28 years. The food was surprisingly delicious and would recommend if ever in the Hollywood area. I'm eating left overs as I type.

This place is clearly a local staple and favorite. My friends really enjoyed the specialty seafood soup. The service was decent and their speed was great. Everything came out super quick and tasted good. It feels a little crammed. Overall, this is a good spot for Thai food.

Although the food is pretty good, and the soup tureen is fancy, it is overpriced as is everything on the menu. I’m going to go find a good Thai restaurant that is more reasonable and does not charge a service charge. I always leave a tip…we ate in…but there was a $13 SERVICE charge…thank goodness I asked about it before I left my usual 20% tip, which actually would have netted them more. IN ADDITION there is nothing on the menu indicating this fraudulent add on …. I understand it for large groups when it is written on the menus but we’re were a small part of four (and two were kids!). really disgusting, ruined my appetite. Go somewhere that is more customer centered and friendly.

La ocha as a restaurant chain is very good the food is good but becareful with this location they will over charge on every item literally changing the price from the menu to the price on your bill they over charged us 60$ we had to manually add up all the items then when we complained they added a 15 percent dine in service charge along woth 10 percent tax they are literally scamming all the Latinos that here....please double check your bills they are over charging on food items look at your menu and looks at your final bill...don't be embarrassed to complain...an other lady who was eating with her daughter was complaining about the same issue...so sad to have to scam ppl like this

Horrible!!! They close at 9:00PM. They rush you in less than a minute to order. The worse part is that they will not tell you there is a SERVICE FEE added to the bill on top of the already increased food prices. I had to manually add all items I ordered to find out that there was this hidden fee. And we were only 2 people. Will not go back.

Why 3 stars, there is a line outside 7 tables occupied and 4 empty, that’s not busy but why a line then. Place is small. Ok so the food is good, but is it worth it? If you are craving for their food and you haven’t been there for a while, then yes, wait in line enjoy your food, get your bill while you still eating(i felt being kicked out and rushed to finish eating). Otherwise go to the nearest McDonalds and be served in minutes.
