Authentic Thai restaurant full service, indoor and outdoor dining. Also serving Beer and Wine.
Trendy Thai style bar, mostly my Thai friends love hanging out here. During my vacation trip, my friends already went to have a party here twice. I came to this bar one time for after party of my friend wedding. The place was super chill, and staff was very friendly. Food was great, we order lots of appetizers and focusing on drinks.
This is by far the most delicious Thai place I have ever tried in Los Angeles! I rarely leave reviews, but this one deserved it.
They have unique items on the menu where you can't find anywhere else.
It is a bit on the pricier side a little above average, but well worth it!
The servers are very cordial and attentive, but not too much to the point where they bother you while you have food in your mouth.
I recommend the
-Krispy Pork (best Krispy pork I've had hands down. The sauce they use is very tasty as well)
-Fried Soft Chicken Bones (this is the first time trying it. One of the unique items on the menu)
-Tom Yum Fried Rice (if Tom yum soup was Fried rice)
Eat here now! Lol
Also, my girlfriend and I normally take photos of our food before we eat. But for some reason we didn't take any today maybe because the food was so good we couldn't wait.
It is also a loud place I think they have a live band playing maybe on the weekends. There was no band playing when we entered. But it is still very loud.
I'm definitely coming back... I'll add photos next time.
Update 10/20/22 I came back and ordered the exact same food. This time I took photos though!
Delicious food. Decent atmosphere. Their desserts were alright. Slightly disappointed. Desserts are like ending closure, if the desserts ain't good then it's kinda ruin the meal. Don't want to go too detailed on desserts but their ice cream bun, they used hot dog bun , the bun wasn't steamed or toasted before, left very weird feeling.
Another really related to the restaurant but just a fyi, there's "valet" parking in this common. It's not really a valet, it's more like this group of people try to collect money for parking spot, they would even put in cone to block you from parking unless you pay
I'm probably one of the only non Thai people in there. It's late, 1 am, music is very loud and it's like a big fun party in the whole restaurant. But the pad Thai was mid! Nothing special at all. Not sure it commands the $20 price tag at all. Bland, no flavor, the beef seemed low tier. The noodles, lifeless.
Maybe I came too late for food. Seems like a fun place but pretty disappointed. I can get really good pad Thai elsewhere for that much. I hate leaving bad reviews but it's very warranted here. How can a Thai place make a bad pad Thai? It's like the classic dish. The energy here was high, just not in the food
Food is good but the service left a bad taste. Although several waiters checked on us to make sure everything was good, we were seated outside on a cold night. When a group that was Thai (they spoke Thai) came after us, they were at first sitting outside like us, but then they were moved inside. If there were available seats inside, why didn't they move my partner and I inside?
Also, a waiter for no reason turned off the heater. We had to ask another waiter to turn it back on.
To top it off, their menu prices are off by a few dollars. My kao soi chicken was supposed to be $18 but they charged me $21. Not sure what that was about.
A sadly disappointing experience, especially since it seemed like a good spot with a small live band singing. We won't be returning.
I recently visited Kruang Tedd, and I must say it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. As a lover of Thai cuisine, I’ve been to many restaurants, but none have impressed me as much as Kruang Tedd. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly their vegetable curry, which is the best I’ve ever had. Seriously, it was phenomenal.
From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile and attentive service. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, ensuring that every aspect of our dining experience was perfect. They took the time to explain the menu and made some excellent recommendations, which I really appreciated. Their passion for the food and the restaurant was evident in every interaction.
Now, let’s talk about that vegetable curry. It was absolutely divine. The flavors were perfectly balanced, with just the right amount of spice to keep things interesting without overwhelming the palate. The vegetables were fresh and cooked to perfection, maintaining a satisfying crunch. The rich and creamy curry sauce was incredibly flavorful, infused with aromatic herbs and spices that elevated the dish to a whole new level. Each bite was a delightful explosion of taste that left me wanting more.
What sets Kruang Tedd apart is their dedication to using high-quality ingredients. You can truly taste the difference in every dish they serve. They clearly take pride in sourcing fresh, authentic ingredients to create traditional Thai flavors with a modern twist. This commitment to quality is what makes their vegetable curry the best I’ve ever had, and I can’t recommend it enough.
In addition to the outstanding food, the service at Kruang Tedd was top-notch. The staff was attentive without being intrusive, always ensuring our glasses were filled and that we had everything we needed. They went above and beyond to make our dining experience enjoyable, and their attention to detail did not go unnoticed.
The ambiance of the restaurant was equally impressive. The decor is charming and authentic, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. It’s the perfect setting for a relaxed meal with friends or family. The music was pleasant and complemented the overall vibe of the place, making it a wonderful spot to unwind and savor the delicious food.
I also appreciated the variety on the menu. While the vegetable curry stole the show, there were plenty of other dishes that caught my eye. The menu offers a great selection of traditional Thai dishes alongside some unique creations that cater to all tastes. Whether you’re a fan of spicy food or prefer milder flavors, you’ll find something to love at Kruang Tedd.
In conclusion, Kruang Tedd is a true gem in the world of Thai cuisine. If you’re a fan of vegetable curry, you simply must try theirs—it’s the best. The exceptional service, cozy atmosphere, and, above all, the incredible food make this restaurant a must-visit. Thank you, Kruang Tedd, for an unforgettable dining experience. I can’t wait to return and explore more of your menu!
🇹🇭 THAILAND
Excerpt from Eat the World Los Angeles:
The style of dining here is best setup for groups of at least four people, with $49 set options for either tabletop grilling (moo ka ta) or hot pot cooking (jim jum). For either choice, you can select pork, beef, chicken, or seafood. The kt jim jum beef set comes with two trays stacked with sliced beef and two eggs.
Kao mo kai is awesome. A mist try

Don’t go by the old prices on the photos. Everything is 2x the price now

Decent Thai spot. The food took a while to come out and the portion sizes were average. Very limited parking.
Great food. Great music
Perfect food
My friend and I couldn't get any Thai food delivered on a Friday night at 9:00. We were desperate. So we went to the closest place available after calling to make sure we could get in. The food was inedible. The only thing I could figure out was that it was authentic Thai food -- not meant for the American palate. My date had Rad Na and it was slimy and had a weird flavor. I ordered sweet potato fries because after seeing chicken feet on the menu, I was afraid to order anything else. The oil the potatoes were fried in was nasty. So I asked for cheddar cheese fries. They were better but were made with cheese powder. And though I ate them, they were not really very good. As we were walking out, we noticed that the restaurant was filled with Thai people. The people that served us were very nice.
Music+beer =♡
Food is ok, but bad service. They gave us a short leg table with a very uncomfortable plastic chair. We were trying to change another table, they didn’t let us change, and said that was a six-people table( it’s actually small table). After all these, there were two people came in, they sit the six-people table. Can you explain why are you doing this? Is it because we are not Thai? BTW it’s a bad experience in this place, I am pregnant and got this torturing seat and table…
Food is good but the service left a bad taste. Although several waiters checked on us to make sure everything was good, we were seated outside on a cold night. Great casual atmosphere. Could see it jumping late night.
For dinner - no. The curry was watery. Papaya salad was sad. Nice flavours and spice/heat, but incomplete. Fried chicken skins were inedible… taken away from table untouched. Not credited or questioned if it was ok.
$150 with tip for two/no booze … for this. NO
Good food! Really friendly servers 🙃 they have pretty late live music hehe
Delicious
The food was incredible! Definitely will go back.
Awesome
Live music and great food make this a great Saturday spot.
This place is in the top 5 of Thai restaurants I've ever eaten at. Fresh food and very tasty. I'll certainly be back.
Very delicious Northern Thai style foods! Great for groups and sharing ! Friendly customer service. We dined in on a Tuesday early evening, not too busy. Heads up, parking is very limited.
This is by far the most delicious Thai place I have ever tried in Los Angeles! I rarely leave reviews, but this one deserved it.
They have unique items on the menu where you can't find anywhere else.
It is a bit on the pricier side a little above average, but well worth it!

Most scrumptious hot Tom Yum I've ever hide. With a spice that lingers! Super comfy atmosphere too.
This is real good Thai food. The whole menu was right on! Love the live music too. The servers were so kind.
Great for Thai Style BBQ.
They have outdoor seating that good for having BBQ
Service was slow. Place is kinda run-down. Food OK not really impress.
Good
We ordered Khao Soi Tofu and Pad Siew Chicken along with a Thai tea. The Khao Soi tasted amazing, pad siew tasted mediocre and cost 25$. I found this price ridiculously expensive for the quality of this basic Thai food.
When I asked for the bill, they charged me 20% tip without asking for my consent.
I got ripped off but with a smile of course :)
I loved everything about kruang tedd. The food was delicious, the drinks tasty and refreshing, the live band, the staff so friendly and personable. I recommend this place to anyone that is looking for a late night Thai fix and wants a chill vibe. Kitchen closes at midnight when I went but the drinks are served til closing.
Nice Thai. probably Anthony Bourdain will approved

Had a good dinner and few beers and listened to some good music. Overall had a really good time.
I really like to come from time to time for dinner...
The owner and a bunch of patrons attacked me here because the drunk employee blocked the door to the restaurant and I tried to let the people he was blocking in out
Nice live music and food
Excellent food and entertainment after 10pm...

Incredible
Delitious, like being in thailand
Food is good, and service is great
ร้านอาหารเครื่องเทศที่ไปทานมาวันนี้รสชาติดีมากสมกับ 5 ดาวเยี้ยมค่ั
Honestly the best Thai food I’ve ever had. The service was great and the food did not disappoint. Would definitely recommend!!
Got the Hainanese Chicken Rice and it blew our socks off. They offer the chicken both traditionally (steamed + marinated) and fried, and two dipping sauces to go with. Rice was A+ as well! Tom yum soup was very flavorful. The owner offered us complimentary infused Soju after an unpleasant incident with a rude customer behind us; we appreciated the gesture, and the goji + ginseng infusion worked really well too!
Better choices in Thai Town. 2 out of 6 people said the food was ok. The rest rate it fair. Plus the suggested tip is based on the fully taxed amount. Not cool.
Friendly staff
It was an amazing night with friends. We had gill chicken wings, tam sua, chicken skin and KT wings.
Nice vibe and good food!!
Love this food and atmosphere. I have been there so many times and the food is amazing and the staffs are fabulous.
I mean. Its really good! For the most part is amazing. But there is this one guy, he is through the day that he dont really care about his clients, and he is hella rude. So I will recommend going at night or for delivery.
This is a must!
great khao soi and tofu
This is the one of my favorite Thai food places in Los Angeles. I love all their dishes especially the Kao mun gai.
Sad, can't sit and enjoy indoor dinning. We've been taking out often. Pork jerky, drunken noodles, egg omelette to name a few of our favorites. Support small businesses to survive during the shut down!
Great food and correct social distancing measures in place!
Very safe and perfect for covid-19. Many ppl eat alone late because we all need some kind of social interaction.
Very authentic Thai food experience. The crab fried rice is divine.
Best thai food( authentic thai food or real thai food ) in Los Angeles . #1 . No other place can beat KT thai..,, and also this is the only place you can find koa mok gai ( yellow rice with chicken or thai biriyani ) in LA...,, i've been going there for the
Place is nice waiters are great, food is ok nothing special.
South North East or West this place got them all for the best thai food in town. 😁
อาหารอร่อยทุกอย่าง ไทยจริงๆ จิ้มจุมเลิศมาก
Yentapho hotpot !!!!! Would love to recommended staff very friendly and kun p' Lex spicy fish sauce so yummy 😋 really good food.
Friendly and accommodating staff, large selection of local and Thai beer including kegs, and open late night and yes all dishes are equally delicious!!!
Loved the new outdoor seating arrangement!
Low prices, great service, summer terrace reminded me the same vibe as chatuchak nights market
Wings with soy garlic had the perfect crisp. Soy garlic potstickers were on point. The (curly) seasoned fries were perfectly fried. The japchae had great flavor. Overall, super satisfying!
Great Thai food. Loved that our thom kha was brought with a candle to keep it warm during the meal. The comfortable atmosphere would be good for a date or a small (2-5) business meeting. Or, grab some spring rolls and sit at the modest bar. If I lived in the area I'd be here regularly.
Muy bien la comida
Amazing and affordable!
Went here on New Year's and the experience was amazing! The staff were all so nice and generous. They gave us a free shot glass and hand lotion as gifts for celebrating with them bringing in the new year! 😱 Also the DJ and the live band performers were all phenomenal! 🙌🏽🔥 A genuine good time
Karaoke nights are what's listed but I saw a cool drunken Thai live band rawkin' way into the after hours listed on the eve of Xmas Eve and the joint was packed. Still trying to figure out if they are doing covers that somehow I don't recognize despite the fact that they are singing in Thai or if they are just really catchy originals. Wish I was dressed more appropriately so I could go in and investigate but I'm in nasty gym wear and on my bike. Uh oh, power ballad. Bile rising up in the back of my throat... That's my cue to, "Exit! Stage left!"
Really good food and great staff
Bad experience
DO NOT EAT AT THIS PLACE!!!! If it were possible I would give -5 stars!! We got food poisoning and the food was literally un-eatable!!! They at first agreed to refund us and I was not gonna make a big deal about it, but after three days and many rude phone calls they refused refund the dinner.
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! DISGUSTING FOOD AND PEOPLE!
All the other reviews about this place are fake!! So many other good places in Thai Town. Do yourself a favor and go to other places!!
Best Thai restaurant in Thai Town, LA. Good food and good service.... reasonable price.
Friendly and fast service.
I had the crispy pork and calamari, it was so delicious! The place is squeaky clean and full of wonderful employees.
I ordered a few dishes [Thai Boat, Panang curry, and Papaya salad] and all of them didnt taste bad but were not how the dish typically tastes like. Panang curry tasted like coconut milk with a tiny hint of curry flavor. I was very disappointed in the curry.
such a wonderful place! the food is amazing - green curry, kt wings, nam tok pork - the trick is to get coconut sticky rice as a side to offset the heat. somehow the thai baby coconuts here are better than anywhere else
Stopped in to Kruang Tedd this past week after reading about its distinctive Thai offerings. We appeared to be virtually the only patrons there on a weeknight, but by the end of the dinner I concluded that the proper reaction to this fact was "Their loss." The space is pleasant with its handsome wood tables; it seems to be set up for a band or karaoke, but that wasn't happening when we visited. The service was as quick and attentive as you would expect under the circumstances, the prices for cold draft beer (Lagunitas IPA) were reasonable and would have been even better if we'd arrived before 8pm, when their happy hour wraps up, and the cuisine was fine-to-unforgettable. "Fine" for the Dried Chili Cashew Nut, which was Thai Town standard, no more. "Unforgettable," however, is the only way to describe the Khao Mok Gai. The slow-cooked chicken, rice, and clear broth came separately, not mixed, which I didn't expect. But each element was *phenomenal*... especially with the delightful spicy mint sauce (there wasn't enough of this sauce to cover the portions of the food, which were very generous). We've been to the famous Jitlada (a block away) half a dozen times, and it's great, but no dish there has brought me up sharp the way the Khao Mok Gai did. Five-plus stars overall for that dish alone. Do yourself a favor and go try it while it's still there. Four-ish stars for the rest, at the price.
Good food. Fair pricing. Also a music venue.
One word.... Awesome.
ขับรถผ่าน แต่พรุ่งนี้จะไป555
Highly recommended!! This new KT management absolutely knows how to keep tradition Thai food and pay attention to service to Hollywood standards. So worth waiting for KT new opening.
Nice place to eat and have fun with your friends or family, everything nice and clean
Nice resturant and very nice music awesom🤗👍
Great service, casual atmosphere, love it.
Yeh, Kruang Tedd restaurant is back!
We had Pad Kee Mao (drunken noodle) for lunch two days ago and it was the best. Going back for more this weekend. Excellent service.
Like the new look of the restaurant too. We wish them great success. Rudy & Sirilak
We got the very good night in here😊
Great food great people!
Restaurant will open soon. Still preparing to open in mid-Jan 2019.
Good authentic thai food. Love it and the dessert was really good.
This whole area is owned by these people. They charge you such a high amount for parking. And also save money in the food that they serve you..just disgusting
Amazing crispy pork
I really like the food , music and also service very good. exactly next time I’ll back !!!!
I’m so impressed for my first time.
Good food, Good service, Good place cause near jumbo's clown Room ;) i love it!!
Nice food
The drunken beef is great! Order it spicy!
