Joom Bangkok Cafe has been proudly serving local customers more than 16 years since 2007. We cook with fresh local ingredients and served our customers with a friendly services.
We are conveniently located close to The Grove and Farmer Market. There is lots of rooms for parking. We look forward to serving you!!!
Joom Bangkok Cake serves up a flavorful and satisfying Thai food experience. The Tom Kha soup was a standout, packed with rich, bold flavors and an abundance of mushrooms and vegetables. The chicken was thinly sliced, cooked perfectly, and juicy—adding a great protein component to the creamy and fragrant broth. The Pad See Ew was equally impressive, with bouncy noodles that were cooked to perfection, carrying a delightful char that infused the dish with a smoky depth. The chicken and broccoli were juicy and full of amazing flavor, making it an absolute 10 out of 10 dish.
At $35, including delivery, the meal was not only delicious but also a fantastic value. Joom Bangkok Cake has mastered the art of combining authentic Thai flavors with high-quality ingredients, and it’s clear they know how to deliver a great dining experience. I’d return without hesitation, especially for that Pad See Ew, which is easily one of the best I’ve ever had. Highly recommended for anyone craving a flavorful and satisfying meal!
First of all the service is amazing. You really feel welcome and taken care of.
Fries Wontons are amazing. Try the chicken one, simple flavors and quite large to be wontons. But so good. The green curry is perfect! Not to much coconut, perfect heat, and nicely served.
Fried rice with calamari is a hit! Includes a lot of fresh vegetables.
I'm very picky when it comes to Thai food, and this place nailed it. Authentic food with high quality on ingredients.
We are definitely coming back and I think that this is our new favorite Thai food place in LA.
The restaurant is not the sexiest, but the food and service compensate big time for that!
An absolute gem! This café exceeded all my expectations. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, perfect for catching up with friends or getting some work done. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, always making sure you have everything you need. And the food – wow! Every dish we tried was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The coffee was perfectly brewed and the desserts were to die for. If you're looking for a place with great vibes, amazing food, and excellent service, look no further. Highly recommend!
I really wanted to like this place. Saw the raving reviews and thought I found a new gem. For context, I live near Thai town and eat a good amount of Thai food.
First, the service. It was great. The cashier who took my order was very nice and friendly, very welcoming.
I grab the full menu to order takeout and she points and lets me know they have lunch specials. I’m sold on her suggestion so I look at the list and order the Panang Curry and Iced Coffee. $14. All good.
The coffee was okay, not memorable. Flat tbh. I wouldn’t get it again. Not bad for $3.50?
Issue number one with the curry was the lunch special portion. I wish I had known it was half the size of a regular order. It came with a small rice and salad.
The curry was flavorless. Possible the most bland I’ve ever had. That’s it. I can’t even add anything. I also found a piece of dark chicken meat that was unpleasant.
My favorite places: My Thai in ktown or Torung in Thai town
This is a small restaurant. I ordered satay and panang curry with scoop of white rice and thai ice tea and a water. The satay was so tender and the peanut sauce was good too. The panang curry was great. It was thick and flavorful. Customer service was good except at 3:58pm she said, "They close at 4:00pm." I came in at 3:00pm for lunch.
We had a really nice meal there. The server was extra friendly, without being obtrusive. The restaurant offers a varied Prix Fixe menu every evening, as well as a la carte. Both of us chose Prix Fixe, but different items. Very nice, tasty food

Service is always good, food quality is limited but it’s quick service and convenient for a lunch time rush
I clearly ordered delivery and I was told to pick up. NOT COOL!
This place is amazing. We always come for a great experience. Audrey is so nice and always remembers our order as soon as we walk in.
Hands down the best Thai food in town is at Joom’s. The only thing better is the service and Audrey!!!
Food is delicious and service is excellent.
Food is great and Audrey is the BEST!

The Prik King is out of this world. My favorite of the lunch specials.
I been coming here for over 15 years. Love the food and services.
Audrey is the best!
I’ve been coming here for years for lunch. Great friendly service, great food and great service!
The food here was really good, fresh, ans service by Sanya(might not be spelled correctly) was exceptional. Definitely check them out and ask for her!

Food - bland, not exciting
Service - meh
Atmosphere - meh
Verdict: If you crave tasty, flavorful Thai dishes, then skip this one. But if you’re on a budget and don’t mind watered down Thai food, try it.
Food is delicious, and service is impeccable
Great food and service. Well priced. I’ll be back.
Loved everything we had. Great service. Highly recommend the tom kha, pad thai (we substituted cashews) and then the roti with condensed milk and ice cream! Delicious! Great value!

My favorite places: My Thai in ktown or Torung in Thai town
I ate their curry and ive been on the toilet nonstop with a fever. Avoid the curry it gave me food poisoning
Good food. Love the papaya salad. Parking lot can be a little difficult sometimes. Glad I live close
Great service from the host always. I have been here many times and the food is good too.
Really surprisingly good. My go-to Thai restaurant west of Thai town.
the only reason i’m rating a 3 for atmosphere is because i’ve only eaten takeout; but i’m sure their environment is great
the food is consistently delivered hot, fresh and thoughtfully packaged. very good spot. stand outs for me are the pad won sen and their orange chicken
Fantastic food and service. Best Thai we have ever had in LA
I’m Thai and this is the worst Thai food in LA so far. Curry tastes like sugar water with coconut milk. Spicy basil dish has ginger and bamboo shoots seriously? I’m not sure if the cook or owner are Thai at all or if they have ever eaten Thai food. I can understand to Americanize thai food but this’d rather ruin the reputation of Thai food. If you have no idea what I’m saying, try any other Thai restaurant in LA and come back here once. You will understand.
The food was so good!! Best pad see ew I’ve ever had and really good mango sticky rice. Follow us on IG: travelbearz2
I have driven past this Joom for years...Finally, we decided to stop for dinner. It was so nice and cozy inside that we decided to stay instead of taking to-go. I am so happy that we did.
The service was very engaging, and efficient. The food was delicious...make sure that you order the Garlic Rice with something! All of the flavours were able to present without getting muddied or over-done, or too salty. I can't wait to go back and try the Panang.
I think this is my new favorite local Thai food restaurant. Thanks! 🙏
One of the best Tom kha soups I’ve ever had but had to give 4 stars cause of the bell on the door! It’s the loudest bell I’ve ever heard at a restaurant and it went off constantly! I don’t think I can eat inside the restaurant again - ‘To go’ only unless the bell gets taken off ahaha!
Amazing Thai Food, welcomed super nicely and went back two times during our stay. I recommend strongly
I have been coming here for years for a quick lunch. Their curry dishes are very good.
Great food, will come back.
Curry tasted like sugary coconut milk with a little spice - the sugar was unbareable! Spring rolls were gross and the tofu fried rice was tasteless. Probably the worst thai food I’ve ever had - curry out of a box or frozen from TJs tastes better
Very happy to have this restaurant in the neighborhood. I own a hair salon nearby, Love the food! it’s very delicious!! Will send my friends and clients there for sure!!
Ordered take out. Large portion of beef pad Thai but it had zero flavor and was very dry. The papaya salad was tasty but was a tiny portion. The coconut soup was just ok.
First of all the service is amazing. You really feel welcome and taken care of.
Fries Wontons are amazing. Try the chicken one, simple flavors and quite large to be wontons. But so good. The green curry is perfect! Not to much coconut, perfect heat, and nicely served.

Good Thai food very authentic
Best Thai food in town! Been coming here for a many years now and they never disappoint. Great prices, great dinner and lunch specials, great food!
The staff was really nice. The food was not. The green curry had less flavor than a YouTube influencer. The drunken noodles were so hot that I cried a little... Then threw both meals in the trash.
Mmmmm..started with a pot of hot tea then big bowl of gourmet hot soup w/ chunky fresh chicken n' beef! Added rice to it... very tasty 😋 and it also had lemon grass in it for tangy flavor... 👍
I would drive here just for the Roti dessert! Food is very good! Spiciness is milder than more traditional Thai food restaurants.
Really really really good. It’s the best.
This place is incredible. Chill atmosphere, very kind and thoughtful server. Best curry I’ve ever had.
I don’t know what happened to this place. It was fantastic for years, but more recently the quality has taken a nosedive. The vegetable dishes are soggy and drowned in a sickly sweet liquid, overwhelming amount of carrots, way overcooked. The Satay was flavorless and seemed to have been steamed. The last three visits were almost inedible. I decided to try again after a year, but it was just as disappointing. I’ve been eating Thai food in LA for 40+ years, and in all this time, I’ve only had a bad meal in one other place, so it seems hard to ruin it, but they did it. I feel bad about this, because the owners are very nice and I hate to say something bad about their business, but they really need a new cook. Maybe it’s COVID and a worker shortage, maybe I’ve been ordering the wrong things, I don’t know. I see a lot of great reviews. I ordered Pad Thai (okay), Ginger Fried Fish, Pad Woon Sen and Satay, and all were overcooked, soupy, bad vegetables and too-sweet aftertaste. I hope they can get it together.
Love this place. The staff is very friendly.
The food was not fresh, kun pao had old overcooked vegetables very salty not even with rice could make it normal , drunken noodle extra spicy no flavor, old vegetables nothing to do with real Thai food.
Googgggg buenisimoo
Absolutely delicious!
Fast and quick delivery! Temperature and taste were very good. Ordered the garlic chicken, with mango sticky sweet rice for dessert. Good portion and enjoyed my meal!
It was delicious. I even got to sit outside at the one lone table. Lucky me. I felt like a queen. I couldn't finish my Pad Thai so brought it home for lunch tomorrow.
One the best Thai places in LA!! SUPER GREAT STAFF!! Amazing lunch specials!!!
This place is great. The staff are very friendly, the food is delicious, and the prices are the cheapest in the area. Better food for cheaper prices? What more can you want.
Pleasant customer service and food is always delicious. Great location for a quiet meal.
One of the only quick stop Thai restaurants I eat from; I'm very picky.
Good foods. I mean affordable for the area.
Best Thai Food in Fairfax District!
If you looking for a great lunch special or even dinner special, you need to come to JOOM!
Their special comes with ice cream.
Average quality, big portions, friendly service.
Excellent Thai food! Service was great too :)
Yummy food at great price
Inexpensive Thai food, friendly service. Quick cooks, not an exotic place. Free parking in front located in a same corner shoppong center. Looks family run. Menu is extensive. Drunken noodles on the menu which are not found at all Thai restaurant s. Enjoyed our meal
Great tasty food, helpful staff and fast service
The quality was low
Ordered one of lunch menus.
Pad Thai 9.00 added shrimp 2.00
At the end you are gonna get an ice cream 😊
Great place! Nice and clean. Tastes good!
I’m so picky when it comes to Thai food. Imagine my surprise when I finally settled on Joom (after pouring through like 9 other restaurants and reviews). This is the BEST thai food I’ve had anywhere. The spring rolls are crazy delish, the basil fried rice is magical. But the star for me: the yellow curry. Sweet, creamy, perfectly balanced. Delivery is fast and the food is impeccable. I’m telling everyone about Joom!!! I had it last night and am trying to justify back-to-back Thai nights...
Decent food, decent prices. Good for place for reasonably priced food in LA
친절하고 맛있는 곳
Great food and amazing customer service.
I was first on the phone with a man and he did not understand anything and he was yelling and telling me wait wait shush then he passed the phone to a girl and when he was passing the phone he says wait WOMAN I was very offended then the girl was much nicer but was getting the order wrong so she passed it on to another’s person and this man and I thought this is very weird getting passed on to three people it’s not professional but the food was ok
Great food and service !!!
Didn't expect much from this little place but I was pleasantly surprised! Friendly staff that is attentive to customers' needs! Food served with an emphasis on presentation! Food is of great quality! And with... at least... the lunch special, there is a pleasant surprise at the end. Just stopped in for quick bite but got much more!!
Yummy!
I go to this place several times a month for lunch because it’s close by, there’s a small parking lot right outside, and everything I’ve tried is absolutely delicious. The service is always quick and pleasant. And the lunch specials come with salad and ice cream which is nice. I highly recommend!
Ultra scrumptious.
Good place for lunch.
One of the best values in the area. We Love the green curry with sticky rice. Traditionally I always want meat with my dish but the green curry is great even with tofu. Spectacular flavor and the lunch specials are a great price.
Finally got a really spicy tom kha soup
The food is delicious, the history is great, a very convenient place to be, what else can you expect but perfectness! (They even give ice cream for lunch !) ❤️
Very happy with the quality and reasonable price
There food is so amazing and price is good too. I love their pad-see-u
Great food from this place. The servers are really nice and they portions are large. I've been back twice, but will continue to go there. They have great dinner and lunch specials.
Been living in Thailand for 3 years and food at this place tastes really great for really reasonable price!
This is my new favorite Thai restaurant in LA. Near the Grove and across the street from CBS.
Great price lunch time
Pad Thai here is basically noodles in ketchup. This is not real Thai food people.
The Ford was pretty good! My pad Thai didn't come with all the options, so it feels missing. That being said, the dinner special is so worth it!
Good food good service

6pm
The lady staff serving without smile. Darn!
It's a very nice environment and great lunch specials!
Really good Thai food with friendly staff in strip mall across from CBS Television on Beverly Blvd. They have Lunch Specials at great prices.
We ordered food to be delivered. Everything was very delicious. Can't wait to eat there tomorrow and try different items. I kept thinking about it all week.
Food is delicious. Always hot when served and the flavor is to die for. Great, friendly, attentive custom service. The prices are very reasonable and they give you big portions. Not to mention you get a free scoop of ice cream. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone that loves Thai food.
1. Service was very nice. A very sweet waitress. Pretty fast.
2. Pad Thai. 5*. "Street style". A lot of meat.
3. Papaya salad. 2*. Not awesome... and such a small portion!
4. Fried rice. 3*. Just soso and some aftertaste.
5. Thai tea was good.
6. They charged for peanut sauce.
Quality of food/check... we are definitely not coming back.
Delicious, inexpensive Thai food. Service is usually amazing. For the sweet tooth, you get a small scoop of ice cream after your lunch.
I really love this little place! Tasty food, relaxed location. Has parking lot, but neighbourhood street parking is usually easier. Great value lunch specials as well as regular menu. Service is quick and pleasant. Give it a try!
Small and quaint, but excellent food. Highly recommend.
This is a great local spot to get Thai Food. The lunch specials are only 8 bucks for anyone looking for something good and inexpensive. But the best part is the food and service. The staff is very friendly and good with their regulars. And the food taste great every time I've gone to visit. Also, gotta love a place that actually makes their spicy food SPICY! lol
Our favorite Thai place. I don't know about authenticity, but we compare all others to Joom.
As close to authentic Thai food as I have found in SoCal. All my dishes were always prepapred fresh and the spice level was as ordered (Level 5, not Thai hot).
Had the Joom Noodle bowl. Very nice. Service is very friendly and prompt.
They don't tell you that all their foods have fish and/or oyster sauce. For the first time in 16 years, I ate meat thanks to them... And when I asked about it, the waitress was rude and condescending. Btw, this is the first time that I've ever submitted a review of any place
They treat you like family. Every time i go back they rember what i ordered last. They take the time to get to know you
Everything is awesome! ^^ The stuff, food and environment.
Off the chain. I'm coming back for sure.
A great experience and delicious food!
Been here for both lunch and dinner - great prices for genuinely great food. The lunch special is a must: $8 for 4 courses! The staff is also very friendly. Can’t recommend this place enough!
Incredible food! Best Thai around!
Nice atmosphere
Great food.
Awesome place with nice and friendly staff. Very delicious and cheap enough.
Frozen vegetables pad Thai gross. Seriously I feel so sick right now. Never go there
Tasty, cheap and good service! :)
Good Thai restaurant.
Come here all the time for lunch. Great service and great prices.
Amazing flavours and we're always impressed with how little the meal costs- great value. We've been coming once or twice a week since finding Joom
Good food, and the service staff were very friendly. Definitely will return the next time I'm in the area.
Always great good fast service but crowded for lunch but worth it
Thai iced tea is bae.
I love this place! The food is great, service is wonderful, I will always recommend this place!
Excellent food for est-in or takeout. Great service!
Great atmosphere and food, sweet staff, and a place to go back to!
It's very good! And I'm not even a huge Thai fan. Food was fresh (you could tell what was handmade). The dinner special is such a good deal!! For $11 you get an appetizer, soup or salad, entree, and dessert.
Always good, and always timely
Amazing customer services. They were so kind and friendly. The pad thai was excellent. Definitely coming back
The best Thai restaurant I've been to!
I went here for dinner with friends and we decided to order yellow curry and orange tofu. The curries here were delicious. They had a tangy flavor to them, unlike anything I've had before. Really good food and friendly staff too
My girlfriend and I were craving Thai food so we looked for options near 90010 and found this place. We decided to give it a shot and boy did we nail it! Our waitress was very attentive and food portion was a lot and to top it off they give you a complimentary scope of ice cream. Definitely this is a must come back place for us.
I've ordered from this place about 5 times this month and I have to say it is extremely consistent. They deliver to my door within 20 minutes. The food is always fresh, hott and delicious. I highly recommend this place and will keep buying food from here at least once a week. Try the chicken panang curry with eggplant it's absolutely incredible! Excellent thai ice tea as well!
Great pad Thai lunch special for under $10!! And free scoop of ice cream after your meal. Will definitely be coming back.
It's always been great coming here! I work a couple doors down and always come for lunch during their amazing lunch special! It's under 7 bucks and you have an amazing amount of choices for the lunch special. Most of the food is great however their are the occasional dishes that may be a little bland, but the Curry is amazing, the Prik King is great, as well as the Tom Kha! Everytime I come here they are super fast and I've never had any problems with service. Highly recommend trying this place out if you are in the area a lot.
Great Thai food in a nondescript parking lot. Dinner special includes appetizer, salad or soup, entree and ice cream for $10.00. What a STEAL! Green Papaya salad is great too!
This restaurant is in my top 5 that I've EVER visited. The best Thai food, period. I always go here when I'm back in L.A.
Amazing! The pork salad is the best.
The food i ordered was "Joom Friend Rice" for my main dish but for appetizers i ordered the "coconut shrimp" and the "crispy calamari". The coconut shrimp in my opinion was very delicious, i didn't pick this appetizer the waitress did for me and it was amazing, also the crispy calamari was not to salty but it was just my taste. Also i remember one of the server telling me that the chef came from the number one restaurant in pasadena and it's now here in our neighborhood!!
