Cozy Thai eatery serving curries & noodles amid dark-wood furnishings & mirrored walls, with a bar.
I had a terrible experience at this establishment. The food was highly questionable, lacking flavor, and not enjoyable at all. Everything was either overly sweet or completely bland. On top of that, when I asked the waiter about prices (since none were listed), they avoided answering and referred me to a QR code meant for online orders those prices didn’t even match what we were charged. The food was ridiculously overpriced, and we ended up paying nearly $200 for four subpar dishes. To make matters worse, the location wasn’t even in a nice or touristy area to justify the cost. This place is a complete rip off, and I strongly advise others to stay away.
This Thai restaurant is a great option to eat at when nowhere else is open. They stay open after midnight and also have a bar inside as well!
The food tasted authentic and the portions were pretty good. I didn’t like how all the prices on the menu were scratched out. When you get the tab at the end of your meal you can’t see the prices of the individual items either. Other than that no complaints, our party had a great time here.
The service was really good. The older lady working the bar and taking our order was super friendly. The other staff were really helpful as well. I would totally recommend this restaurant if you have the late night munchies for thai food.
Also, please remove the sliced white bread from the chicken satay dish. Its really not necessary.
It was the worst and most expensive curry I have ever had. The curry was watery and had no flavor other than coconut milk. The chicken was stark white and rubbery.
I ordered 2 yellow curry, 2 white rice (because they don't come with rice, apparently), and 1 order of fried potstickers. Why would my order cost $58? Why did they add on a transaction fee of $1.59? Awful.
The staff was nice, but the food and the prices are terrible.
I used to go to this restaurant a lot with my Thai friend. I was very satisfied with the food, although the price is a bit expensive. Tonight I ordered a papaya salad for take out. I was very disappointed. I could not eat the salad for several reasons. First, the salad was not fresh. Second, the fish sauce that was used had a strong smell of fish. I had eaten papaya salad in this restaurant before and I liked it very much.
But this was completely different and the strong smell of fish sauce was inedible. I think the quality of the fish sauce was different. The third point is that when the salad has been prepared for several hours, in addition to not freshness, a lot of water and sauce accumulates under the vegetables. You know what I'm talking about.
The last point is that the price of a papaya salad is $17, which is very high.
Parking is not free if you go for dining, but it is free for take-out.
Sorry restaurant management for this comment. I had gone for this salad with great enthusiasm, but I really threw it all in the garbage. The quality was really low.
Bas was a kind server. It was almost a 5 star we had a great time. The only thing is that we looked at the menu prices, we thought they just made the font dark of the prices.. But apparently they just blocked it out with a dark marker. So our bill came out way higher than expected… we asked about it. You think they would accomodate for that but they didn’t. I told him they should get new menus, and the manager just stood there like he expected us not to pay. :((((
I think I might’ve discovered one of the best Thai restaurants in Hollywood.
Visiting Hollywood, something I have started doing fairly regularly. I asked a friend of mine, who lives here, if there was a good Thai restaurant he would suggest, one night at eight. This is the one he told me to check out
I wish I was hungrier. The papaya salad was so good. It. Had a little heat, so if you’re sensitive to spies, maybe I asked them if there’s a less spicy version. But, it’s worth that little bit of heat. And, it feels like a good ballot of heat to be.
I also had the Penang curry, with duck. The guy serving me suggested the duck. It was a good suggestion the duck was it perfectly cooked and seasoned. And, the flavor of the panang was so delicious.
I also had the Thai tea, standard for me, it was also very good.
Just come try it.
Always a good time and good food.
I love this place! We always order the seafood soup, pad se ew, and raw shrimp salad. So good!
got food poisoning from the duck pad see ew
Service for take out delivery wasn’t so good. No plates available for takeout foods.
had a nice comfy booth. Panang Curry was amazing. Lots of shrimp. Sticky rice was the perfect compliment to the dish. Wash it down with a Singha. Definitely coming back! Thank you! Kop Kuhn Kop
Good food and decent service. Went in a big group and all enjoyed. Only thing was it was a bit pricey $700 bill.
Not what it use to be. Highly overpriced, especially when considering quality of food, ambiance and service. Lastly 10 dollars plus tip to valet park and no parking options otherwise because in this area stret parking is almost impossible
Best Thai food is Los Angeles and open very late .
Prices printed in receipt is different from order menu. Beware

Three foods is fresh and authentic!
Delicious!
Hard to get to. But worth it!
Food was wonderful here. i highly recommend it.
We came here for lunch. I we ordered the Pad See Ew. They didn’t have any of the flat noodles so that eliminated almost half the menu. I ended up having to order the curry dish, which does not even a bowl of rice. The bowl of rice was $3 alone. I asked if they could comp the bowl of rice since I couldn’t get my original order and the answer was no. Hospitality is non existent here. Food is okay, overpriced , and service is not great.
Worker came to pick the dishes up while the whole table is still eating.
Not many people go there
The chicken pad thai was bad. No flavor at all. While I was eating it felt like I bit into a small rock or sand .. it was egg shell.
Egg rolls and egg roll sweet sauce was good 👍
It was the worst and most expensive curry I have ever had.
Awful.

Came here with a friend and his family during ciclavia and man the authentic flavor of Thai cuisine come to life here. Must try this place out. Very big and spacious great for large gatherings and huge family gatherings.
I love this place and always will but the service has kinda circled the drain tje last few times ive been unfortunately..also their tiger cry staple, they changed their steak. Not the same which is disappointing
The Only problem with this place is parking. That's it! One of the best Thai Restaurants around. A must try
This is one of my favorite places in Hollywood. The staff is so nice, and it may take a minute when they're busy, but I've never felt ignored or disrespected here, they're very welcoming and kind.
I love their Crying Tiger,
with vegetable Pad Thai. I can't wait to go back. ❤️
Good food but, atmosphere is fine but basic.
Looks really cool. Ordered take out but will be back for a drink and karaoke
Wanted to go and eat here today, after parking the valet person asked us to pay $8! And we are customers! What a scam. What a pity, used to be our place to go to when in LA. Good luck getting customers 😅
Repas copieux, vraiment très bon et avec beaucoup de goût.
Malgré nos difficultés en anglais la serveuse nous a bien aidé.
Tous les plats peuvent être décliné en version végétarienne.
Merci à elle.
Great thai food! I really enjoyed the tea and ambiance. Fantastic service
I havent been here in about two years . Dropped in after a late night bar crawl with some hungrry friends in the afterhours. Ordderd Tom kha kai... was tasty and fulfilling ..rejuvenating after a night of drinking . Was pleasantly surprised to seee that Hollywood Thai expanded quite dramatically to adjacent buildings. it's about three or four times as big now . Stays open until 3:30am . Prices good
Best thai food in socal
Open late
Karaoke weekends
Owner super nice.
Great food
The owner was super rude. This is the first time and probably the last time for me. These people need to work on the customer service and people skills. Never come back!!!
Super authentic experience and the drunken noodles were on point.
Good food terrible service
Drunken noodles 🍜.. egg rolls
Very good taste and its most authentic Thai restaurant I have been into…. All the food dish were excellent…. And the staff are very friendly and the service was great.
It’s one of the best Thai restaurant in the whole of Thaitown. Parking is a pain but they have valet on certain hours. But the food is well worth the wait
This place is very disappointing despite good reviews. It is hit or miss. Mostly miss. Takes too long to put the order in. Sometimes the food is burnt and other times undercooked. Each time I go thinking it will be good this time and it's not.
The best service you'll never have it. I recommend this place a 100%.
They rip off customers by adding a processing fee to the bill. Our bill was $337 and they charged $10 on top. Also, the venue doesn't provide an itemized receipt in English.
I used to go to this restaurant a lot with my Thai friend. I was very satisfied with the food, although the price is a bit expensive. Tonight I ordered a papaya salad for take out. Been here for many years owners very friendly welcome you the food is delicious
Food was great. Waiter helped us customize items to make them vegetarian. We were very impressed with that flexibility. Only small complain is that Service staff disappeared after initial service. We had to wait long time to get some additional cutlery.
Terrible food, less than mediocre service
Please don't call this thai food
I visited Hollywood Thai Restaurant on a Saturday night with my friends and we had a great time. The restaurant is located in the heart of Hollywood, close to many attractions and nightlife options. The ambiance is modern and cozy, with a full bar and a karaoke stage. The service was friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious and authentic.
We ordered a variety of dishes, including pad thai, papaya salad, fried morning glory, pineapple fried rice, and tiger cry. The portions were generous and the flavors were well-balanced. The pad thai was sweet and tangy, with crunchy peanuts and fresh bean sprouts. The papaya salad was spicy and refreshing, with shredded green papaya, tomatoes, green beans, and roasted peanuts. The fried morning glory was crispy and savory, with garlic, chili, and oyster sauce. The pineapple fried rice was colorful and aromatic, with chunks of pineapple, cashews, raisins, and chicken. The tiger cry was tender and juicy, with grilled beef slices, lime juice, chili flakes, and roasted rice powder.
The highlight of the night was the karaoke. The restaurant has a large selection of songs in different languages and genres. We sang our hearts out and had a lot of fun. The staff and other customers were very supportive and cheered us on.
Overall, we had a wonderful experience at Hollywood Thai Restaurant. The food was tasty and satisfying, the service was warm and efficient, the atmosphere was lively and entertaining. We will definitely come back again and recommend it to anyone who loves Thai food and karaoke.
SOOOO DELICIOUS, I came after a concert, just what I need; fast service and delicious FOOD. Will be coming back FOR SUREE!!
Over priced food for not great taste, sucks! Don't mind the price of the food if the food was great. Service was slow and not great either. Parking was $8. When the check came for the 4 of us, it was all written in Thai (didnt understand one word) and when we asked after reading the #s, total plus tip 18% after taxes, we asked to confirm if the tip was added, server answered no, and when we showed him the check, right away server said oh yea it is! Not again, HOLLYWOOD Thai!!
Tasty meal and reasonable prices. Recommended.
One of the best Pad Thai’s I tried! The coconut soup was also great. On Sat night they have a singer she’s great and it’s a vibe!
Delicious food and very kind, accommodating and fun staff!!
The owner went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed at midnight on a Sunday 10/10!
They open until late night! Food is okay, a bit pricey, but the area smells so much like smoke (so many people smoke) even in the outdoor area.
I love how the staff allow a homeless person eat some leftovers of group. She actually gave a bottle of water for him and let him eat. That is very nice.
What a great welcoming experience! Coming from Houston, Hollywood Thai Restaurant was our first restaurant in LA and wow they impressed. The staff did an amazing job making me feel warm and enjoyable by holding meaningful conversations. Not to mention the food was amazingly authentic, rich in flavor and large generous portions. Kind and nice people here.
Really good food. Really bad service.
Really good spacious seating. Service is probably the worst I’ve ever had consistently. But the food is so good.
The food was amazing!
Great pad Ka prao
The wait for food was ridiculous. The worst is each plate is served different times so you can’t enjoy it all together and end up having to start or wait to eat cause it’s awkward at the table. Huge downfall here. Kept on apologizing for the wait but it wasn’t a packed night.. either they need more staff or just need to change their way of getting it served.. kind of turn out about going here again.
Honestly worse Thai food I've tried.
This Thai restaurant is a great option to eat at when nowhere else is open. They stay open after midnight and also have a bar inside as well!

Đồ ăn cực ngon
Foods okay, overpriced for what you get. Service is terrible if they don't know you or don't come in a group, apparently. Shame, I really wanted to like this place.
Delicious Thai food
So, I recently got out of the hospital after a week. I was craving some Thai food and chose this restaurant based on the reviews. I actually left a different Thai place to come here. Beyond all else, the food was awful and made me sick. I couldn't even eat more than a few bites. I was overcharged. The water smelled, and it was just a horrible restaurant experience. I even set it back and had them remake it. The server's response was "sometimes the cooking is bad."
Terrible service. Food just okay. If you don’t pay with cash you’re charged a 2.75% service fee, but on the menu it says cards are preferred. Waiters are GHOST. Once they take your order they do not come around. Had to ask the bartender for our check and we weren’t even seated at the bar.
Great service and good food
Ambience is the only thing good here. Service is poor, menu was not given. We went online and checked the menu, our order was taken 10-15 mns after we had a seat.
Restroom is not working. Such a big place and yet not a functioning restroom.
I wish I could give this restaurant 10 stars 🌟 honestly the best and the energy of the people who work here is so beautiful and genuine.
10/10
Nice little restaurant in Hollywood boulevard Little Thailand would I come here for the spicy garlic clans
Food was not that tasty and I spent $85. On take out - got home and they forgot my rice!
I loved this place. We were looking for Thai food and nothing seemed to convince us until we just gave up and decided to give this place a chance. Everything from the moment we walked in was great, the hospitality and the service. The food is nothing like back home. We come from all across the country and this is one of the best Thai restaurants i’ve ever been to. 1000/10 would recommend.
They had a lot of options for food which made me so excited I ordered the Thai green curry and it was so good and flavorful especially the Thai tea was a very good portion the restaurant it's self was pretty nice and also the the waitress was so nice and acknowledge 10/10 I would definitely reccomend this for a Thai place
Food was tasty, but service was horrible, the owner was very unfriendly, because for this service we didn´t give a tip. He shouted at us not to return there. Waitress didn´t talk with us, we got the menu with old prices (the new prices was more expensive), we didn´t get a waring. After this it wasn´t there any sorry, just where is the tip, you must pay the tip! We had a feel, that we are not a welcome there during the service and after owner´s scene, we never go back and I will not recomande to anyone. :(
Food was ok, the service was good. Atmosphere was terrible with extremely loud music.
Maybe some of the best Thai I've had in a while..huge portions
A reliable and consistent staple in Thai town. The place is amazing after the remodel and matches the quality of the food.
This is one of my favorite Thai restaurants in Los Angeles.
You wouldn't guess by the name but this is definitely a place that has authentic food and knocks it out of the park.
Everything I've tried here is really good, and several of my friends that I've taken there both go more than me now.
In particular I got them hooked on the pork jerky (Moo Da Deaw) which they serve with the traditional Nam Jim Jaew dipping sauce and the Gai Saap Ka Prao (minced chicken with basil) which I try at every restaurant I visit, and this is the best place I've had it in LA.
It's big and spacious in the atmosphere is pretty cool. If you go on a weekend very likely be a performer playing music or karaoke in Thai.
It's a great place to take a group of friends.
I took a date there once and although it didn't work out we'll both fondly remember the food.
Love the selection of dishes with giant shrimp, try the giant shrimp in garlic sauce and the Pork bbq. Shrimp cakes for appetizers after also delish.
This place is good! It can get really busy on the weekends. sometimes they might get understaffed, especially after the pandemic, think they might be adjusting but their food is fresh, taste great. There's a few things like Tiger cry that isn't that good but everything else is lot better than the other Thai places in Hollywood. Also the portions are generous and service is always pretty good when they are not busy. Parking is also pretty difficult to find but that's Hollywood so I'm not expecting to be able to find it immediately.

We dine this restaurant for over 15 years. As Thai person, We think this one of the most authentic Thai food restaurant in Los Angeles. The service are always excellent and friendly. Big plus, this restaurant also has a full bar and open until very late nights.
Chris V.
Food tasted good, but my girlfriend and I both had to run to the restroom an hour after we left. I would not come here again.
Food tasted rancid and old. My cup was dirty and the sprite was super flat and when they replaced it didn't even taste like sprite anymore. Argued with us over everything involving the process. Never again.
The food is good I always go and tip them even if I do carry out. This last time i went I waited an hour for the food and then they still forgot my plate my family was done eating and they still had not brought mine. So I didn’t tip this one and only time also the food tasted and smelled like burnt… the owner quickly followed me and harassed us that we never tip which I always do and I explain why I didnt this time she was making a scene outside will never go back first get the order right, don’t give burnt food and write down the orders of the customers. Poor customer service
Great food. Valet in the parking lot for $8.
Best food best service
Great food and alcohol. Awesome late night.
Good food, service is mid. because it takes a minute for someone to get to you. I spent $220 for 4 people.
Definitely the nicest ambience with nice TV's and a nice bar, but Jesus Christ literally the worst service. It's not that they're mean it's just the waiters are NEVER around literally they'll disappear for 10 minutes at a time and no matter how packed the place is there's only like 2 at the most. Sanamluang for being such a tiny place usually has at least 4 waiters per busy shift. The food here is ok but not worth the wait. A typical dinner will take like an hour for no good reason
Great food! The waitress wasn’t there when we needed to change or add something in our order. We had to go all the way to the counter inside.
But the food was amazing and great quantity!
Large portions, but only a few good dishes.
Ordered two Thai iced teas here to go. They are not made from powder like many. This was a good one. Great service really nice people and great reasonable prices. I like half and half in my Thai tea making it more creamy but this one was good also. Seemed it was made with whole milk so a bit less creamy but some people prefer it like this.
Service needs improvement
All I can say is WOW! That's literally what I said when I first had the spoon in my mouth wjth their food! It was legitimately Thailand. Mama also greeted us with a hug when my group went here after the club.
I highly highly highly recommend this place!! A+++
Ps la verdad se tarda mucho en servirte estuvimos casi 45 minutos esperando
This was a very nice classic comfortable place with good food and great people….. after the expansion it has gone down. Especially the service, seems like they don’t care….
One of my favorite Thai restaurants in LA. The food is always amazing Not as cheap as other Thai restaurants, I have a pretty big menu. The service is also pretty fast. The karaoke Knights are fun...! They have an outside patio to dine. Right next to their tiny parking lot Which can only park 6 or 8 cars otherwise you have to look on the street for parking. But all worth it.
I've been coming here for years and literally everything I've tried is soo good. But my favorites are Pad Se Ew, Pad Ke Mao and Tiger Cry... Hands down best Thai restaurant I've ever been too!!
Lots and seating for large and small groups. Delicious and authentic Thai food run by a family. I went with my 80+ year old parents my 23 and 20 yo sons and my 22 yo nephew. We all enjoyed the food. The staff was attentive and made sure we were happy. They brought out a cake that I purchased outside for my older son's college graduation. Overall a great experience.
My wife's friend and i went for dinner, we ordered panang curry omg that was super good, we will stop by some other day to try a new dish, great atmosphere, plenty of space plus patio
We used to eat here often. Even though its overpriced we enjoyed the food. Until we found hair in our papaya salad. 20+ dollars just to be disappointed. Never again.
First time here.
The staff was extremely kind, attentive, and helpful. My friends and I came here around 2am for a late night meal.
The food was made quickly and brought out in a timely manner. I ordered the bbq pork, rice, and veggies. Big portions, was oy able to eat half.
I will definitely be returning here 😌
Food and ambient is good with life music.
Service is kind of chaotic but work. Parking is challenging but they have valet parking.
Great for big groups
Is good, but it could be better. The service is very slow (because they just have two waiters for all restaurant, not because they are not doing their job, they even do the bar stuff). The tofu curry was amazing, and the raw shrimp was good too. The barbecue squid was very very bad. The prices are ok.
This review is for the parking I had to wait 10min in my car because I was blocked in by a huge Ram truck
