Contemporary restaurant with a casual ambiance offering a variety of Thai small plates & mains.
My daughter and I found ourselves in Long Beach to pick up a window. We decided to have lunch at this wonderful gem of a restaurant. I consider myself to be a foodie and let me tell you, this place was delicious. My daughter is kind of picky and to hear her ask if it was just her that thought it was better than other places we've been to or if I thought the same. I absolutely told her that the food we were enjoying was amazing. She ordered her go to usual Chicken Pad Thai dish. I ordered the Waterfall Beef Salad, a side of white rice and for dessert we got street style pancake. The combination of all the flavors in each of the dishes was like a party in my mouth. I highly recommend.
Our friends who are local in the Long Beach area took us here for early dinner and certainly didn’t disappoint and enjoyed every moment and food and culinary experiences we had!
We started with their papaya salad, then crab cakes for starters then walked our way to the tamarind wings and other restaurant specialties. Everything was great, including their dessert ( sweet sticky rice with mangoes ) as well as their cocktail drinks. I personally enjoyed the one with lychees. Sorry I forgot the name.
Service was great and fast! Our waiter was very knowledgeable and loved everything that he recommended.
Located in the neighborhood of Long Beach height this place is quaint and intimate but definitely worth the drive and wait. Ambiance is modern and fun!
Parking could be a challenge but we got lucky getting the street parking for free.
I would recommend this for people that are looking for good and authentic Thai food in the area.
Went here for dinner with my family. Place is contemporary but the acoustic is poor so it's pretty loud at about 75% full occupancy. The food is pretty good though a tad Americanized. Highlights included kao soi, crying tiger and hat yai fried chicken. Portions are not abundant, which is fine so we got a chance to share many different dishes. Service was polite, quick and attentive.
I tried this little place with my friend a couple of weeks ago. It’s in a very eclectic neighborhood in Long Beach with lots of dining options nearby, and was glad we chose to eat here. I had the Pad Thai and my friend had yellow curry with rice. We both enjoyed our meals and got a good portion for a (very) reasonable price. The service was also very friendly and the restaurant had a very chill cafe/sit down restaurant fusion vibe going on that was really welcoming. I would go here again.
Highly recommended.
The food was great, and they have a special drink which is come with a tester, and then you have to choose out of five tester . Peaceful environment inside and so nice outdoor sitting area with great service which I give them 5 stars.
Absolutely delicious Thai food comes with fresh dishes. They have restroom inside and parking available in the lot. We went for lunch and we really love this place. The waitress was so friendly and explained their menu with patient.
Dinner was amazing at Manaow. We are pretty local to this area and decided to get dinner while getting some laundry done next door.
The wings were sticky and crispy. Really enjoyed their take on it. The mango sticky rice was expected to be good and it was! For our mains the Pad Thai was classic and flavorful. I got the Northern noodles and those were different, but if you can't decide between curry or noodles, that's the way to go.
The food is great just plain and simple
The desserts were meh 😐
Great Thai food. Long Beach is the place to go for Thai food
Yellow curry with chicken mild is my favorite.
Really enjoyed the spring rolls and yellow curry. Great for take out and also a fun vibe to dine in.
Amazing Thai food, always fresh. Staff is fast, responsive and always smiling.
Manaow Thai is a divine experience. A Godsend to Long Beach.
I go out of my way to come to this Thai restaurant. The food is fresh and flavorful and the staff is kind and efficient.

Service was questionable we wanted to take it Togo to eat some their as we where doing laundry next door and they said that’s a waist of boxes? The cashier seemed new and shy maybe still learning! But other than that my husband loved the yellow curry. I had a noodle dish that was pretty good nothing crazy but it was enjoyable.

There's nothing I've tried here that I haven't liked. Service is also always friendly and great. Def recommend the wings and limeade!
Best Thai food in SoCal. Every single dish I’ve had here over 10 meals here has been excellent. The drink sampler is a fun variety of flavors, Thai iced tea is delicious- it’ll energize me all day. I love the crispy spring rolls, pad see ew, Khoa Soi noodle soup, the papaya salad and pretty much everything I’ve ordered.
Had the Panang Curry, Pad see ew, Mango sticky rice, and limeade!!! Sooooo delicious! The curry was the best I have had in a very long time! It was incredibly flavorful! Will definitely be coming back!
Great food and drinks!
Hidden gem! One of the best places for Thai Food in LA!
Amazing food and staff! We got the Southern style chicken curry noodles and drunken noodles both medium heat. Both were super flavorful and enough portion sizes to be full. The Thai tea is one of the best I’ve ever had.
Pad Kee Mao was good but ordered too spicy 🌶️ beware, it’s spicy!
Excellent
Love everything about this place. Absolutely smashing food, with great service. One of my fav restaurants ever. I haven’t had any dish here that didn’t taste good.
Always yummy.,
You cannot enjoy that extremely spicy food, we ordered medium and they gave us extreme spicy! They argued that that is normal, it is not! I have enjoyed menu Thai food places, this is the worst.
Delicious food and excellent service
Great food service and atmosphere!
I eat here quite often 😋
I've had an excellent experience every time I have dined here with friends and alone.
This is one of the best if not the best Thai restaurant I’ve visited (it parallels restaurants in Thailand). The food is excellent, never disappoints and the service is on par with the delicious fresh meals they provide their customers.
I am so impressed by the quality and taste of the food! Ordered take out to try it for the first time and everything was still beautiful, fresh, and delicious (try the larb!). Even the purple limeade was amazing! The small restaurant was bustling with communal tables and warm family vibes. Staff were friendly, efficient, and welcoming. Definitely a new favorite 💜
This place is special. All of the dishes are great, the interior is welcoming, the staff friendly. If you like Thai food, don't miss out Manaow.
Stayed at a VRBO a block away. We were tired from a long day so decided to enjoy the short walk at twilight and check this neighborhood spot out. It was fantastic. Food was perfect. Service was just right and they have a robot.

the drive to Long Beach was WORTH IT - I went for the mango 🥭 sticky rice 🍚 (OMG 😋), but everything we ate was insanely delicious.. the waiter was nice to warn me (I opted for "spicy" at first, on the drunken noodles) that he likes spicy stuff too, but couldn't tolerate more than medium (he was right).. beautiful space.
This is one of my favorite places to eat in and by far my favorite Thai spot in Long Beach. The staff are always friendly, attentive and accommodating. My go-to order up until now has been the Kao Soi, to the point where they know my order as soon as I walk in the door but I’ve been trying to branch out and some other dishes that have stood out are the Chicken wrapped in Pandan, Panang and green curries, Papaya Salad, Pad See Iew and the Pad Thai. The mango sticky rice is also not to be skipped!
This restaurant offers fantastic food and excellent service. I traveled from OC to have dinner with my son, and the Thai restaurant near his place had no parking. Thanks to Google, we discovered this little gem not too far away with outstanding reviews. What a pleasant discovery! We will definitely return.
They have a robot that helps clear dishes. Also the food is the best Thai I’ve ever had.
The food was really good
Great customer service. Food was delicious. Restaurant clean as always.
Manaow Thai is probably the best Thai restaurant in Long Beach hands down. It is off the beaten path a little but it is worth the drive to visit. The establishment is always clean and the food is delicious. You will not be disappointed & your belly will thank you. They have great lunch specials too. Hope to see you there!
I urge you, please try something outside of your usual Thai food order here; the food is absolutely exquisite. Blew me away. In the past year, I've been hopping around to lots of Thai restaurants and, of course Long Beach is the best for Thai & Cambodian cuisine, this place really stands out. I came for brunch, had the tamarind eggs, Thai omelette, pandan leaf chicken, and a tamarind juice. I was stunned, just 110% satisfying.. Customer service is fantastic. If you like family style eating at long tables this is also the place for you. I highly recommend the lemongrass iced tea, which my bestie let me have a taste of.
Speechless! Perfectly balanced flavors, a unique menu that isn't just the pad thais and curries you can get anywhere, delicious and refreshing drinks, absolutely one of the best Thai restaurants in Long Beach, and that's saying a lot, IYKYK. Exquisite!!
they gave me wrong oder anyway we hungry and eat all finally we found is not our order.
The food at Manaow is fantastic. I’ve lived in the neighborhood for over a year and wish I found it sooner. The curry and pork belly were fantastic. Minus one star because the service was questionable. I really felt we were an inconvenience to our server. She didn’t seem happy to be there, which is unfortunate. Will definitely be back though for the food. Maybe a take out order..
My favorite place for Thai cuisine
Great place for eat in or takeout. The food is fantastic and the servers are friendly & attentive.
My favorite Thai spot in The LBC. Great intimate setting, friendly staff who always has a such a sunny disposition to make your day and the food is fantastic. No matter how much I eat which is an alarming amount I never fell weighed down from a meal here just refreshed and happy.
One of the best Thai restaurants in all of SoCal. Their food is way less greasy than other Thai restaurants and they use a different type of oil intentionally. Service can be slow, but that’s because they’re hand crafting each dish. Pro tip: great lunch specials.
Some of the best Thai food in Long Beach. Beware you can't get an alcoholic drink.
delicious pad see ew and curries. great lunch prices and the beverage tasting flight was a lot of fun
Lovely fresh clean Asian flavours
Highly recommended.
The food was great, and they have a special drink which is come with a tester, and then you have to choose out of five tester . Peaceful environment inside and so nice outdoor sitting area with great service which I give them 5 stars.
Absolutely delicious Thai food comes with fresh dishes. They have restroom inside and parking available in the lot. We went for lunch and we really love this place. The waitress was so friendly and explained their menu with patient.
Always perfection!
Manaow drink sampler. Pork belly gai lan. Panang curry medium spice.
Sooo good.
Manaow Thai is a neighborhood favorite. The food is incredible and the staff are always friendly. When it's busy, the acoustics of the restaurant can be loud for some, but not anymore than other restaurants with an open ceiling. Sitting on the small patio or picking up to dine at home are options. Don't pass on the food. Once you try it you'll be a regular too.
Horrible service, was told we were about to be seated and then they didn’t acknowledge us for 10 minutes, when we went in and asked they acted like they didn’t know what we were talking about. Will never go back
The best Thai I’ve ever had. Long beach Thai is solid but this is excellent. Puts chai rang and other spots to shame. Id recommend the northern style curried noodles with beef and the padang curry. To. Die. For.
Some of the best Thai food in long beach. Delicious appetizers too.
1st time here, we ordered Crying tyger, yellow chicken curry & catfish. They are so yummy. Waiters are kind & polite.
Will come back again & again.
I’m a New Yorker who has been to Thailand several times. This is the BEST thai food I’ve had in the US. Manaow is a must stop for anyone in Long Beach!!!
Excellent every visit. GET THE WINGS
Super fast service and always impressive consistency. The curry here is some of my all time favorite and the wings are dreamy.
Freakishly good (and spicy) Thai food.
This place has absolutely delicious food do yourself a favor and try this Thai place if your ever in Long Beach
Excellent place to eat, have dinner, and have a pleasant conversation with family members and friends. Staff is very friendly. And, the food is extremely delicious. No matter what you order, it's served prompt, and it's very good, high quality. After that, you can go to Long Beach and walk it off, or just relax.
Everything I've had here is delicious
Excellent food! I've been going to Manaow for four years and every meal is delicious.
There are two places that I eat at regularly in Long Beach that make me rethink all of the other five-star reviews I've previously left: Bake and Broil for breakfast and Manaow for Thai.
We go out to the eat often. Of all the places we have dined in Long Beach, the only one that we immediately returned to later in the week has been Manaow. It's just delicious.
We've had crab cakes, tamarind eggs, herbed fish, seafood with glass noodles, shrimp salad and a couple other seafood dishes. All have been out of this world.
There are so many things on the menu that are unique from anything I've had at other Thai restaurants. The tamarind eggs are especially distinct. They are hardboiled eggs that have a crispy fried exterior but soft, delicious interior and a great blend of salt/savory with a subtle hint of sweet. If you like eggs, I really recommend that you try these.
The thing about Manaow is that everything they make is just done well. The crab cakes and herbed fish appetizers provide portions large enough for an entrée. And, again, prepared perfectly. Maybe I'm not skilled enough of a reviewer to adequately describe why the quality of everything they prepare tastes so good, but I can tell you, it just does. Everything just has the exact right level of what you'd expect in the flavor profile, crunchy when it should be and tender when it should be that. Seems like a place where heart and care is put into the preparation of all the food being served.
We haven't had a wait any of the times we visited. There is a parking lot where we have always had available parking, though there is also street parking in the area. Service has been attentive and fast. The restaurant is small but we have never been crowded. Prices are as expected and maybe even a bit lower than what I'd expect to pay given the high quality of the food.
Really recommend Manaow. it's becoming one of our "go to" places.
Very friendly servers, food is always amazing! You really cant go wrong ordering anything here. Pad thai, pork skewers, yellow curry, pineapple fried rice. All of the drinks are sooo good! Lime honey drink is to die for.
We've been here many times now and it's always been spectacular. The food is fresh and thoughtfully prepared. The tamarind eggs and BBQ pork spears are standouts. Try the drink flight too, non-alcoholic and delicious!
Fabulous food
This is my favorite Thai restaurant in Long Beach. I love the tom yum soup but be carefully if you ask for extra spicy. I warned you. :)
The yellow chicken curry is the BomB*
Service was unfortunately not very attentive.
Two starters were ordered, which unfortunately arrived after each other. For this, the main courses came together with an appetizer.
Appetizer was very burnt and therefore could not be eaten.
Would recommend that there should hire more service staff.
Hands down one of the best Thai spots in LB. Definitely not the cheapest but worth the extra bucks for the quality! Beef pad see ew is my favorite go-to. Recently tried their tom kha and roasted duck rice, both were a hit. Never leave without mango & sticky rice or whatever desert is in season. 🤤🤌🏽
The soup was way too sour.
The food was ok, I wasn't impressed. Ordered Chicken Curry to go and the container was barely half full. Overpriced for the serving. It's a no for me!!
Holy S***. I haven't written a review for a place this quickly after I've eaten there. First off, the ambiance is sleek, yet cozy and the sitting arrangement (booths and benches) makes you feel like you're going to have an intimate experience not just with your fellow diners, but with your food too. The service was quick, hospitable and informative. Can't ask for more. But then, there's the food. The ribs gave me a religious experience and for a brief second they made me forget that I can't moan like a cow inside a restaurant. With my eyes rolling in the back of my head, I tried the the Pad Thai which was subtle, but yet plentiful and fresh. Lastly, after my soul had rested, I tried some of my girlfriend's Tom Kha soup which sent me back to the heavens with it's creaminess, slight spiciness and rich flavor. What made me even happier was that despite the additional two (unnecessary but superb) Thai teas, our total was under $65! Plus, we took part of the Pad Thai and Tom Kha to-go. So, if you're from the neighborhood, it's a must, and if you're not from the neighborhood, it's a should.
Got take out on a Friday night. Food was ready in about 30 minutes. The place was crowded! Staff was friendly.
Ordered pad Thai with pork, drunken noodles (mild spicy) with chicken and spring rolls. Drunken noodles was perfectly flavored - my favorite. Portion size was good for one person.
I don't know where to start.... I came here with my GF on 08/24/22 and this place blew our taste buds! Everything was surprisingly delicious and had so much flavor. The staff was very nice and accommodating. I had forgot to mention that I had a peanut allergy after they had taken our order and brought over the papaya salad with peanuts on top. I then notified the waitress that I was allergic. She immediately removed the papaya salad and brought over a new one with a smile on her face. I had already felt bad and kept apologizing, but she kept smiling and insisted it wasn't a problem. This right there was already a great experience and the best customer service I had received in a long time at a restaurant. The papaya salad tasted so good once we had taken a bite. Soon there after we received more and more food. The flight of drinks came and if you didn't know, they will give you a free drink in actual size for the one you like the most. This was a very hard decision to make as each one tasted so good, but we went with the classic Thai Tea. Next, we had the beef skewers and this had to be our favorite dish. The sauce paired with the beef skewers was so so so good! Finally, we had the pad see ew and green curry with steamed rice. Overall, I'd definitely come back again with friends and family to share this amazing Thai food. Cause with good food, it's even better when you share it with the people you love.
Best Kao Soi I’ve ever had- in fact, this would be my last meal If I ever had to make that choice. This Kao Soi ruined me for other Kao Soi. Been coming here for almost 10 years and never been disappointed. Get the Kao Soi. Nothing short of amazing
Come for the food - it's amazing! Not only is it my favorite Thai food in Long Beach, but I think it's my favorite restaurant in the city, too. Every dish is excellent - but that green curry....(chef's kiss)! I crave this food more than any other place in LB. Thank you Manaow for making the most authentic Thai around!
The egg rolls are very satisfying and long and we’ll prepared. The yellow curry was so delicious I could have drank cups of it. The papaya salad was lovely, fresh and delicious. The service was wonderful. Great experience, lovely dining experience, definitely worth checking out
Dinner was amazing at Manaow.
Manaow Thai has to be one of my partner and my's favorite restaurant in Long Beach. We have been here a handful of times and they never miss! We've tried Tom Kha, Pad Thai, Southern Golden Curry Noodles, Drunken Noodle, Roasted Duck Curry (top tier), and their drink sampler and we always leave highly satisfied. If you haven't made it over yet, highly recommend adding it to your list!
Hands down best thai food in Long Beach!! I always get the Artichoke curry but swap for green curry! Stuffed chicken wings, tamarind pork ribs, pad thai are all AMAZING! Literally never had a bad meal here! Wish they had fresh spring rolls instead of fried but that's it!
Really good food. They can make it with no spice or spice that will kill you. I woke up and decided to tempt fate. I got it as got it as hot as they could make it and my mouth was on fire! Super yummy.
I've never had anything here that wasn't absolutely delicious.
Great food range and quality, clean & attentive & helpful staff!
Pandan chicken is tangy!
Good food
I quite like this Thai restaurant; it is bright and cheerful inside, it seems like a common gathering spot for the local community; the staff are friendly; prices are decent; and the food is great. One note: they're not kidding around with spice levels! Medium spice was for me full on spicy (i.e. where the spice starts to compete with the flavor). I really enjoy this place and have been back several times.
One of my favorite restaurants in Long Beach! It’s in a great location and everyone that works there is very nice. The prices and atmosphere are also great in my opinion. My favorites are the Thai beef noodle soup, Thai iced tea, and yellow curry. I no long live nearby but whenever I visit I have to eat here. I have many memories at this place and am grateful it’s in the neighborhood that I love.
The food was mediocre which surprised me given the amount of 5 stars. The Pad Thai was just alright and I wouldn’t recommend the Beef Garlic. Sad I wasn’t more impressed. I loved the ambiance and energy of the space tho, it’s a very lively atmosphere.
The staff refused me access to the bathroom while I was doing laundry next door, however I have been a long time customer. Will not patronize this place ever again.
Excellent vegetarian menu & decor & design ❤️
Great spot for lunch if you want something quick. The pad thai is really yummy. I can't remember our waiters name but he is always so nice and quick.
Tasty, eclectic menu with fresh ingredients. We’ve had several offerings from their menu and all have been delicious…careful though … when they say spicy … so forewarned is forearmed! You won’t be disappointed 👌
My first time eating at this excellent Thai restairant. We ordered the spring rollls, seafood curry .beef paid thai and the very delicious Tamarind chicken. I eat in a lot of excellent Thai restaurants in Thai town LA and all I can say their food quality and customer service is top notch.
Great food, great owner, great staff!! Triple G certified ( trademarked)
Amazing food. Reasonable prices. Great decor.. The perfect place to have a nice lunch with a friend, or a FWB. 😉
I just had the best drunken noodles of my life. Pad Thai was pretty good too. The lunch special is a great deal. Highly recommend.
Always tasty
Had lunch at Manaow today and would highly recommend. We ordered spring rolls for an appetizer and they were delicious with the perfect crunch. For their house beverages I recommend the limeade with honey. It was very refreshing. Food was very good and service was fast and friendly.
My brothers favorite takeout place. The chinese kale was so so so good. Also, if it’s in season, get the mango coconut rice desert. It’s phenomenal.
This place is a must have, very good food!! Staff is very friendly, and the owner is so nice and accommodating!!
My husband and I get takeout from here more than anywhere else. Consistently delicious Thai food.
We ordered the Tom Yum soup seafood edition and the mix fried rice and the crab cake, the crab cake tasted like something out of the frozen food aisle and the Tom Yum soup was good but 30 minutes later after we left our stomachs started feeling horrible. Rice was good i guess.. We always eat here and its very unfortunate i have to leave a 1 star review and sad we got food poisoning from it 1/5
Really good food and our server was attentive, helpful, and had a pleasant attitude overall.
Best thai food in miles around.
Excellent Thai restaurant. We go here for lunch from time to time and the food is always very tasty and the service is very good.
We usually eat here while we are doing laundry. The staff is super friendly. The dog patio is nice. And the food is delicious.
Food tasted really good.
Love this place. Great authentic Thai food. Nice staff. My favorite Thai restaurant in Long beach.
Great food and nice people, but smallish portions. The food was really great, and very well prepared, but the portion size was very small. I realize that the price of food is rising, but we ordered three dishes for two people and we very much enjoyed the food, but we left hungry. We went out for chicken wings.
Good Thai food, reasonable prices. Recommended.
Surprised at how good food was. Portions a bit small though.
First visit. Had an excellent pad Thai, and an artichoke curry.
I love this place, the food is always good. The flavors are bright and delicious, the portions are right. Not a big menu, but the offerings are great! And you can do your laundry at the same time.
Food is great. Portion a little small for the price.
Good service 👍
Best Thai food in Long Beach. Never had a bad meal here. Service is great. It can get busy during peak times.
