Kin Long Beach offers delicious dining and takeout to Long Beach, CA. Kin Long Beach is a cornerstone in the Long Beach community and has been recognized for its outstanding Thai cuisine, excellent service and friendly staff. Our Thai restaurant is known for its modern interpretation of classic dishes and its insistence on only using high quality fresh ingredients.
Service was fast and friendly! Everything looked great on the menu, but I got the Chicken Pad Thai and New Paradise cocktail. Honestly really good and decent portions for a reasonable price. Modern and updated decor. This would be a great casual date spot or somewhere for a quick bite at the bar.
Can't wait to come back. That's how good this restaurant is. Service was amazingly fast. When served, our dishes looked nice and the food had a delicious aroma. Definitely want to keep trying out the rest of their food on their menu.
Not only did they have a nice interior decor, but they also had a unique Thai tea because of its presentation.
Note: parking is not the best. Might want to find parking space near by if the small parking lot is full.
On August 8, we had an amazing dinner at Kin Long Beach. The food that we had are delicious and tasty. The deep fried Bronzini is crispy outside and moist inside. The colossal crab meat rice has a lot of crab meat. Yummy. We also love the pad Thai noodles, as well as the mango sticky rice and Thai iced tea. Service is awesome. We highly recommend this restaurant.
The quality of the food was inconsistent. The Thai coconut soup was satisfactory, but the tofu with eggplant was salty and tasted primarily of soy sauce. The salmon noodle dish was very good, with soft and smooth noodles. However, none of the entrees came with rice, which is unusual for an Asian restaurant. As a result, the food was quite salty on its own, prompting us to order rice. Unfortunately, the rice was dry, and we were charged an excessive $2.95 for a small portion and an additional $5.95 for a medium portion. This unexpected expense was disappointing and left us feeling dissatisfied with the overall dining experience. Consequently, we do not plan to return to this establishment due to their policy of charging for rice.
This Thai restaurant in Long Beach is truly underrated—I believe it deserves to be recognized as one of the best in Thai cuisine. The ambiance is fantastic, with thoughtful interior design and a welcoming vibe that enhances the dining experience.
The food presentation is excellent, and the flavors are equally impressive. On top of that, the prices are reasonable, making it great value for money. The service was outstanding—responsive and attentive throughout our visit.
While the neighborhood has several other Thai restaurants with similar menus, this one stands out for its quality and overall experience. Having tried many Thai restaurants across Southern California, I can confidently say this is a must-visit spot for Thai food lovers. Highly recommended!
Hands down one of the best if not THE Best Restaurant in all of LA by far better and more flavorful than any dish at Wolfgang’s in Beverly Hills. Absolutely amazing, every item on the menu is full of flavors bursting in your mouth. If you have a chance to eat here-try the Curry Puffs, Sticky Rice, Mango Curry and everything else if you have a large family share multiple plates. I can tell the chef cooks with much love, a rarity to find such a Gem!!!! Absolutely excellent…unsolicited review from a Foodie. I
Also we ordered take- out food arrived hot and delicious!
As someone who's been eating Thai food for decades I'd expect every dish to be a hit based on the high rating but only Tom Kha soup was good while Panang Curry flavor was just ok but beef is tender and the Crab Fried Rice is bland but made better by mixing with Panang Curry since soy sauce didn't help. Customer service though is attentive and good.
Great service, food was delicious and very clean

The first time I went in here I thought that this restaurant was the best kept
secret. Now the secret is out and there are lots of people who go here. The food is excellent and delicious. The seafood and produce are super fresh. The pad Thai is yummy. Everyone is super friendly. I go back here on a regular basis and I've never been disappointed.
This is THE best Thai restaurant I’ve been to, till date. Tried the following items:
1. Tom Yum Soup
2. Avocado Curry
3. Yellow Curry
4. Spicy Pad Thai
5. Mango Curry
Each item here is perfected in a way that one can’t even imagine. It’s so good that my spouse and I don’t mind traveling all the way to LA just to try this restaurant again.
Highly recommend this restaurant - it’s a completely different experience and worth every penny.
Next time I visit LA, I would try this place again without any doubt.
So good, my daughter cried. She is living in Canada and hasn't had thai food since this summer. Also, the thai tea presentation is amazing! #truestory

The food was awesome! Full of flavor. Door dash did a great job delivering to the hotel. Will order again next time we are visiting So.Cal...
Fresh, authentic food, excellent service and relaxing atmosphere.
Great food.

Very nicely decorated and painted. Service was attentive and food arrived quickly. Food was hot and delicious.
First time coming in here. Very up to par, loved the atmosphere in there was very lively. And the food satisfies all the cravings you will have.
Great food
The food was great! Outside/facade of building was really no reflection of how nice it was inside. We were there for lunch, and it was very family friendly. Satay chicken and the curry were top notch. Best food we have had during our LB visit.
I slept on this place way too long. Thai is not a go-to cuisine for me, though I do enjoy it, and Kin does not disappoint. They have the standards, Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, etc, but I particularly love that they don't just serve traditional dishes but have other interesting and less well-trodden takes on Thai cuisine.
Definitely recommend their Curry Puffs (AND their Taro Puffs), their Yellow Curry, and Avocado Rolls. Their Tom Kha always makes me happy, and I'm looking forward to trying their black rice Sticky Rice Mango, and their Mango Curry and Avocado Curry. The Thai Tea Popsicle Thai Iced Tea may seem gimmicky, but it's really good, as is the Lychee Iced Tea.
Don't make my mistake, definitely check this place out!
There are several Thai restaurants in downtown Long Beach. This generally is my Thai curry place to go versus my Thai fried rice. They have an interesting Avocado Curry which I encourage folks to check out. There is limited parking in the lot as it seems to be shared by the apartment building next door but there are 4-5 spaces and it's free.
The inside is nicely decorated, the outside is kind of mixed. There is a bar and a TV setup, so one can dine solo there if desired. The inside is nice; the bathrooms always problematic.
While I find the food great, I am less thrilled with the service. It's so variable. It doesn't take a rocket science to figure out to ask or leave chopsticks at the table and to check back once the food is dropped off. They need to work on this. Service much better at the other Thai options downtown.
Food was delicious. Service was OK, went to get us more water, never made it back. Would go back again.
Great calamari, great Thai ice tea plus popsicle, spring rolls l and curry
Not as good as its original panvimarn, but it runs 2nd place after it.
A big group of us thoroughly enjoyed our dinner here. Thai spice is no joke so be careful how spicy you request. The thai iced tea with the popsicle was such a nice indulgence. We ordered so many dishes I can’t recall all of them. Great noodles, tofu, pad see ew, drunken noodles, soup, satay, and other great dishes. You can’t go wrong here.
Very good food
My experience at this establishment was quite disappointing. I approached the staff to inquire about any specials on their menu and was preparing to place an order.
Before doing so, I asked to use the restroom but was refused, which I found quite surprising as a first-time customer.
The overall attitude of the staff was not welcoming or friendly, leaving a negative impression. Given this experience, I'm surprised that they are still in business.
I've never encountered such poor customer service at a Thai restaurant before in my entire life. I would advise others to stay clear of this place to prevent a negative outcome for that special moment you always wanted!
No! Unless your dining goal is fantastic service and attractive decor.
The wings! Pad Thai! The best!

Food has gone terrible. No flavor in it and smells super fishy. No fresh chilis. Super salty food. The Thai iced tea was super sweet and sugary. Not made as good as they used too when original manager worked there before. My third time I return back with my family thinking it would change but it’s still the same. Sorry will be going elsewhere.
Delicious food! Very cute decoration! Cocktail drinks are delicious! Our server was very friendly and food arrived quickly! Highly recommend!

Ambiance A+ Service A+ Food A+
Came from a weekend at the Convention Center, before going home and wanted to have family dinner. This was the place!!!
Very quick service, good food and prices, parking can be tight.
A co-worker who is half Thai suggested this place. AMAZING. Best Tom Kha Gai I've ever had. The seafood Pad Thai was recommended and it was delicious. If it were closer to where I live I would go frequently. Anytime I'm driving in the area of Long Beach and hungry, I will make the effort to go here again!
Great food. THAI ice tea was delicious
I loved their Thai iced tea and beef panang curry was so good.
Pretty decent Thai food at a reasonable price. The money bags were killer but the drunken noodles fell flat for me in terms of flavor and quantity of meat. I also ordered the lychee tea which was way too sweet. That being said the server was extremely nice and even offered to bring me some extra tea to add to the drink to dilute the sweetness.
Walked from the Convention Center - I don't suggest that if staying in the area. Regarding the food, wonderful! Crab rangoons with actual seafood taste. Entrees were great and nice portions. Service was a little slow at times due to the business. Small establishment with tight seating.
I don't know why I didnt go here sooner! The food here is delicious! The ambiance and decor is chic and nice. The service was good.
We ordered the Pork Jerk and Wings for appetizers. Both are a must try!
For our entres we had Tom Kha Soup with chicken - the flavor of this was amazing, it was sweet, spicy (you can order with your desired level of spice), and creamy from the coconut. I am definitely coming back for this soup alone.
We also ordered the pineapple fried rice, which we enjoyed but couldn't finish bc we were already full.
Great food! We will be back again!
Always good food and service. This time we had to deal with a large group of 25. That's the exception though. Still we found parking in the lot which is free
really wanted to support this spot but had an unsettling discovery that the veggie soups are cooked in the same pot as meat soups because there was a piece of chicken in our veggie soup. this should be communicated to guests especially vegetarians.
I enjoyed coming here for a lunch out with a small group of friends. The food was great, and our waitress was attentive. The outside landscaping could use some TLC.
The price is super affordable. The staff are super friendly. The taste of the food is like they trying their best but it doesn’t meet my expectations. I had pad Thai but the taste is just ok but eatable tho 😊 the mango sticky rice is nice but it’s not exactly the same how it’s supposed to be. But the atmosphere is so good I love it
The portions are pretty small but filling. The Yellow Curry was great and I loved it. Small place and the atmosphere is nice. Went on a Wednesday night and wasn’t that crowded
I really enjoyed this place, great atmosphere! The Thai tea with popsicle was cute and delicious 😋
Outstanding flavorful food. Great atmosphere and an amazing range of options from Thai classics to chef specials.
Love this place. Great date place and has plenty of parking
Some of the best curry I’ve ever had
Fast service and pretty good food in a hip atmosphere.
Love love love this place. The food is SO good. Honestly the best yellow curry I've ever had. The flavors just burst but not over to overwhelming. The avocado springs rolls are a must!
Beautiful Thai restaurant in town and Ricky He is the best service ever thanks
Very impressed with this spot, server was great, food was amazing, you're greeted by the kitchen when you walk in. Food came out at a nice speed and hot sake was nice on a rainy day.
A friend and I made it back in today 3/2/2024. Once again we both had the pork ribs. However, today it was better than I remembered. Excellent!
Prik was our server. She was very attentive and friendly. I have been given this place 4 stars and very seldom give 5 stars. But they definitely deserve to have 5 stars. Thanks everyone for the great food and service.
The best pork ribs, very tender and meaty; made with some midly seasoned fresh vegetables. Great appetitizers as well. I'll be back soon.
food sucked but ambience was great and service was good
Amazing Fantastic experience. It's definitely a place to go.
The food is amazing every dish was fabulous and wonderful flavor. The staff is A+ ..it is a must try restaurant!
Get ready for your taste. Buds to explode this place is like you've gone on vacation spent thousands of dollars to have it all climax here!
RIGHT HERE IN OUR OWN BACKYARD !
10 STAR♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
The customer service is best
this is a vibe for sure ! place is clean & food looks so beautiful placed!
The food was amazing ! I order my usually Pad See Ew, which was really good !
The only thing I got to say is i needed a little more of some pad see ew into my plate. Other places give you a lot but this place not too much.
Wings are delicious and sweet ♡
Overall, I'm coming back for sure to try new stuff for sure !
Hands down, the best Thai food in Long Beach, and I would go as far as saying in all of SoCal. All the noodle dishes were perfectly cooked and the panang curry is incredibly flavorful. But the fried calamari surprisingly steals the show. It’s the best calamari I’ve ever tried. This place is a 10/10. And the vibe inside is surprising.
Friendly staff, super fast service and deliciously tasty food. Edamame, avocado roll, Tom Kha soup, crispy fried bok choi all very flavorful.
Can’t say enough great things about this wonderful restaurant! Friendly and knowledgeable staff, delicious food and at a reasonable price! Really found the gem of Long Beach!
Love the restaurant.
The waitress with short hair and masculine figure was extremely rude. I asked what size bowl the rice comes in so I know how many to order and she just kept saying it's individual size for 1 person. We ordered 2 which was enough for 3 people. Then she gives us the bill which we split between 2 parties. We pay and I asked for my credit card receipt. She points to the receipt she had already brought which was just the tables total payment, not the split bill. Then she just walks away and started asking a table what they wanted to order. I had to ask again for my bill and then the waitress raised her voice and she "I'm trying to take their order here you'll have to wait till I'm done". I said no actually we aren't finished here, you never gave us the itemized receipt. She then again points to the receipt on the table. I had to explain I wanted the visa receipt with just how much I paid on it. She then says "Fine but I can't print it out now I need to go to the front desk!" In a high voice and angrily. I'm not sure what happened in her day to make her so upset but no need to be rude to customers just asking for the size of a bowl and their receipt.... Besides that horrible experience the food was quite good but I won't be coming back after being treated with such disrespect.
Phenomenal. Yep, one of the best Thai places I’ve eaten at in LB. Not only for presentation but the actual food is extremely good.
Correlation between good food vs. good atmosphere when it comes to Asian places always seems to lean toward the more “hole in the wall” places being the best when it comes to actual taste. However Kin Long doesn’t give up taste for its wonderful design aesthetic.
The service was great as well. Attentive without being overly so.
Only 1 little critique, I have a diverse palate and I like spicy food. I think they go just a touch light on the spicyness to reach a broader variety of guests.
Had take out but was met by awesome staff that were helpful in getting my order together and they have some of the best Thai food in town! Grateful that they were open the day after Christmas! Highly recommend getting their Thai tea and popsicle! We had their pad Thai, fish, pad ce ew, Tom yum soup and fried rice and everything was amazing!
I was here with a big group on a busy night and was surprised how quickly our order was taken and food came out. The food was so delicious and good portions.
Love Thai food so tried this place. Went a week or so ago and had a good experience. This time not so much. Sat down and was greeted by a woman who seemed like she pretty much wanted to get us in and get us out. The menu looked different and we couldn't figure out which dish we had ordered previously...we were told "same menu, you know what you want!" Customer Service was not her forte. The "Money Bag" appetizers were over done, almost burnt & the Avocado rolls were ok..decided not to get a main course. Probably won't be back. It's too bad seemed like a nice place
If you’re looking for a good Thai place in Long Beach, go here! And look.. I get it, they have orange chicken on their menu (to cater to certain ppl who wrongly associate orange chicken with Thai food) but don’t be like Richard over there and order orange chicken at a Thai restaurant expecting it to knock your socks off.
Food - we got the Pork Jerky and Wings for appetizers. I would eat these 2 things for my whole meal next time. They were soooo good! The pork jerky marinade was legit Thai and they picked the best part of the pork pieces where it was a little fatty and tender but still had that “Thai” jerky feel. The sauce that came with the jerky was on point and I seriously love purple sticky rice! Wings were perfect blend of sweet and salty and savory. Great fry crunch and meaty wings. The mango curry was a miss for me. It wasn’t bad but it was great. I feel like it had more Indian curry flavor instead of Thai curry flavor. I’d probably go with the panang curry next time instead. The garlic shrimp noodles were good, I just wish it was more saucey. It needed some sauce/moisture. Pad see ew is always a must for me when I eat Thai. This one didn’t disappoint. Love that they keep it authentic and use Chinese broccoli!
Service - they ran out of mango sticky rice but were sweet about it even with tables upset with them. Service was good, food was quick and they made sure we had our drinks full. Very nice servers.
Parking - free small little parking lot. I can see it getting crowded when busy but we were able to find 2 spaces very easily. Love free parking!
KIN GETS A 10+1! Everything about our dining experience was exceptional!
We had the Crispy Bok Choi, Chicken Satay, Garlic Noodles with Shrimp, Garlic & Basil Chicken, & Pineapple Fried Rice.
Drinks were Tamarind & Thai Beer.
The +1 is for the little spinner they had for the table (pictured) to keep the gnat(s) away! No one wants the annoyance of having to continually wave gnats away while dining. Every restaurant should invest in these for both indoor and outdoor dining. It's a game changer!
Will be back soon 'cause there's so much more I want to try!
Spicy beef salad was wonderful and spiced to my liking. But service was just okay. Server kept forgetting to bring my drink, which wasn't delivered until my meal was almost completed
This place is sooooo delicious. Great service, fun music, but most of all - The food???? Amazing!!! I am vegan and found soooo many well made options. In fact, many of their dishes can be prepared vegan with either vegetable, tofu, or really tasty soy chicken. Personally, I loveeed the coconut &lemon grass soup (forgot the name!), the pad kee mao (drunken noodle), and the crispy bokchoy - also their spicy margaritas??? So so so refreshingly tasty.
Came in with a group of friends. Make sure you call ahead when you've got more than 3 folks in your party. Parking was tough as well. Had the BBQ short ribs which were good not great. Had the spicy wonton that were meh. The service could have been better it took a solid 30 minutes before our drink orders were taken for our group.
Everything was delicious. Esp their take on thai tea which is a typical thai tea but with a frozen thai tea popsicle which helps it last longer while eating your main meal.
Best Pad Thai I have ever had, the flavor was so great I just kept eating! I selected the regular Pad Thai instead of the Spicy Pad Thai. Regret not taking a picture of my meal to post.
The staff at this location clearly can't hear we asked for two orders they gave us one we paid about 16.50 for a terribly cooked meal
Food was absolutely perfect. I wouldn't change anything. A great place for vegans, vegetarians and carnivores. The Thai tea is an absolute must! It's shocking that is only $5...
I had the avocado curry, it was a large portion and so creamy and tasty. We did the veggie dumplings and golden tofu appetizer which were also perfectly portioned to share and absolutely delicious. Highly recommend for great Thai food!
Cool trendy vibe with authentic Thai food!
Very good place to dine . Their yellow curry is awesome !
First time visit:
Simply the best Thai food I’ve ever had in my life.
Edit:
The vegan sauce used for pad thai here don’t act like poor tasteless substitutes for fish sauce, ouster sauce but genuinely uplift the dish. The difference was especially visible with Pad Thai.
We visited again (drove like 40mins from our place) and the food and the service was the same. Enjoyed talking to the owner of the restaurant and would love to come here again.
It was ok , service was nothing special really bad seeing bug zapper and air freshners all around , parking is good instead of trying to find in typical long beach but don't think we will go back , rather try a different place or back to spicy sugar.
I am impressed by the authenticity of the Thai food here! Nice!
Excellent quality/quantity of food, timely delivery & down right delicious! Order from their website directly to support this local LB business. We ordered the wings, filet , popcorn shrimp, orange chicken and wonton soup. Literally everything was cooked fresh and the flavor of every dish was on point. Highly recommend them and can’t wait to try more options. Thank you for the best restaurant delivery experience. Also don’t forgot to tip well if you can!
Everything was on point. The curry mango was so good with tofu. That weird popsicle drink they advertise is a bummer.
It was a little warm when we were eating the finally kicked on the AC...but the food was delicious...the wing appetizers are delicious, had the tom yum on point, salmon curry, and pineapple rice was very tasty.....and for desert mango sticky rice down right tasty coming back soon.
The best Tai food I've ever had. Soo sad to live soo far away from it. Definitely my go to place when I visit Long Beach again. Saved to my favorites.
We are big fans of Thai food and recently visited from Minnesota. We walked over from our hotel for lunch, each opting for the lunch special (Mango Curry and Nutty Chicken) which came with rice, a vegetable roll, a salad and an entree. It took one bite to know this would be some of the best Thai food we'd ever have. We like spice and the "spicy" level was just right. Flavors were amazing and so well-balanced - nothing was over spicy or sweet or salty: just. perfect. The value for the portion at lunch was amazing, everything was so nicely presented and the food was so incredibly good that we decided to return for dinner. The hostess recognized us from lunch and was so kind to share with the chef that we had come back. She was so delighted she gave us a delicious Mango Sticky Rice on the house that we somehow made room to devour after enjoying amazing cocktails complete with edible flower garnishes, Avocado Curry and another chicken dish. I wish I had made the effort to take photos, but know that the presentation represented on their website is truly how beautifully these dishes are brought to you. Kin is doing Thai food at a level of artistry that we had not experienced and sets the bar high for any Thai restaurant we'll visit in the future. If ever our travels bring us back to Long Beach, we know we'll be back (probably for lunch AND dinner again)! Thank your for your hospitality and sharing your talents with us!
Amazing Thai food!! The place is so nice and clean inside. I order the lunch special, which was delicious, I added the bang bang shrimp that was very GOOD!!! I loved the bang bang shrimp, it is a must. The Thai Ice Tea was delicious. Service was great very professional and friendly staff.
Wow. Having visited thailand a few times, i was very surprised by this restaurant. This is the best thai food i have ever had!
Panang curry was just unbelievable.
And the service was attentive, smiling and genuine. (Our first for our 4 weeks in the us!)
As we were praising the food to the waiter, she said thank you in thai, and informed she was happy hear because she was also the owner. What a lovely place run by real nice people🙂
Food was priced perfectly. Between 15-25 usd. Curry 16.95. What a steal at this quiality beautiful inside decor.
I dined at kin longs twice over the weekend. Bang bang shrimp was good ! But the Ribs are off the chain and falling off the bone goodness. Our server Mei Li was very good and stopped to chat for a minute. They have a very good bar as well. Their Thai Tea is awesome. Definitely going back for a 5th visit.
Awesome food, very delicious
We were both surprised by the average 5-star rating for 1,000 reviews, and one reason could be the free Thai Tea for leaving a Yelp review. Tons of accounts with just 1 review that have given this place 5 stars.
Anyways...the Tom Kha Soup and Fisherman's Catch ($23) good, but not 5-star worthy. The Tom Kha was quite sour with not enough coconut milk to balance it out. The Fisherman's Catch had quite a lot of seafood, but the flavor was nothing spectacular. I ordered a small bowl of jasmine rice which was $3, since the bowl of rice it came with (also small) was not enough.
We threw some rice to finish off the tom kha as well, as it was almost like a curry.
It wasn't busy for a Wednesday 1PM lunch - perhaps 3 other groups the entire time! Easy parking in the lot.
Great place for lunch or dinner, cool vibe and good food.
Excellent
Nice ambience. Good location. Spicy fried rice and spicy pad Thai are not, even though we asked for it to be extra spicy. Spicy wontons were good but again not very spicy.
Awful experience, I can’t believe they have a 4.8.
amazing
Amazing food and incredible mixed drinks! I got the yellow mango curry with tofu and it was so deliciously creamy and flavorful. I also ordered the margarita on fire and the mix of passion fruit with the tequila was so delectable!
Drunken noodle was superb, the crab fried rice was just okay. Thai iced tea was done with a frozen tea Popsicle-- more showy than practical?
Was actually blown away enough by the drunken noodle to rate them hire, but the crab fried rice was sufficiently ordinary that, well, with so much good Thai food in the area, hard to say they truly go above and beyond.
To simply put it, the food is ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!!! Vibes and atmosphere are top notch. Service is unmatched. Top destination for Pad Thai in Long Beach. Would fly out here again just to eat here, YES THAT GOOD...
