Great little Asian restaurant we found. Food was pretty tasty. I had the salmon with veggies and mashed potatoes. The potatoes could've used a little bit more spices, but the fish and veggies were delicious 😋😋😋.
My BF had the scallops and veggies with rice. Just as good.... But the rice, like the potatoes could've used more seasoning.
Our waitress was super sweet and accommodating. We had a lovely time🤗.
beautiful atmosphere layout of restaurant. Its fancy food / sushi 🍣 type here , its got indoor and outdoor seating areas with marina views . It's huge , on certain days they got live music 🎶, its parking around and local bus stops. Staff friendly, they got all you can eat at the sushi bar here. They got regular bar 🍸 Here too . I added the menu in the post
Great restaurant! Awesome view. Located next to the water. I've only eaten outside so I'm not sure about the ambience on the inside but it looks like fun on the weekends was people are partying and dancing.
Their food is fresh and many items are homemade 😍
They serve Japanese and Chinese food.
They have an extensive drink menu.
And they serve dog food!
They have AYCE menus!
Jade on the Water offers a lovely location but unfortunately, the dining experience left much to be desired. While the service was excellent—our waitress was attentive, kind, and the true highlight of the visit—the food itself fell short.
The speed at which our dishes arrived raised concerns about their preparation. The veggie mix served on multiple plates felt generic, lacked seasoning, and seemed to be a one-size-fits-all addition rather than a thoughtfully prepared component of each dish. The $24 sandwich we ordered, unfortunately, didn’t fare better. Its flavor was underwhelming, and the texture was slightly unsettling.
That said, the fried items were a bright spot on the menu, showing that the kitchen has potential when it comes to certain preparations.
Overall, while the service and fried foods stand out as positives, the rest of the meal felt rushed and lacked the attention to detail expected at this price point. A little more focus on flavor, seasoning, and distinctiveness in the dishes could go a long way in elevating the dining experience.
Originally I got lost while looking for another place, I stumbled into this restaurant, I walked inside and immediately thought …wow this is a cool restaurant with seating both inside and out with a water view. I took a quick, check at their menu .A week later, I decided to dine there with my friend,Fabio the chef was most gracious, the hostess and server were also most welcoming. They each truly understand the definition of genuine hospitality !We decided on a meal of small plates and appetizer's, each was unique and flavorful in its own way. The server checked back if I wanted another glass of wine.Since that experience ,I returned to celebrate my other friends birthday, again Fabio and the server made us feel special .We each had a different entree, that was excellent, the entertainment was also great. It is my new “go to place”
I had my mother’s celebration of life here, all the staff I directly interacted with were so lovely and caring. Food was really good and all of the people who attended were complimenting how good the food was.
The service was good and waiters were friendly and attentive. However, the food itself was disappointing. With an order of their Dan Dan noodles with pork and a crab cake sandwich, I was hoping for a good culinary experience. However, the Dan Dan noodles did not have the authentic peanut paste, instead with a slight Sichuan flavor. The crab cake sandwich had too many vegetables with bell peppers and squash masking the taste of the crab cakes and did not deliver.
Good food and good prices. The atmosphere and views are phenomenal. We love the live music!

Googled restaurant drove from OC with my kids for sushi only to find a note on door closed for annual staff appreciation.
Horrible communication will never return.
I had the pho cery good
Great service food was delicious. Plan on returning in evening for entertainment

I attended a Holiday Party at Jade. The atmosphere was fantastic. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The food was excellent. I highly recommend Jade.
Holiday memories, I went here last Christmas with a friend. We had a 3 hour wait for our food, which was cold when we were finally served. It was so bad it was laughable.
Went for a dancing showcase, stayed for the food and drinks. Great bartender, happy hour options.
Nice spot, on the water. Food was kinda mid. Some weird choices in terms of ingredients and the appetizers were pretty weak for the price (wontons and shishito peppers). Got the kung Pao Chicken bento for dinner which came with wonton soup (that had shrimp in it and potato slices?, kinda odd), the salad and the chicken were great but the egg roll was a bit slimy and some of the white rice was totally mush. The server was very friendly and attentive (A+). We might've just hit them on a slow night but I'd probably pass if picking a dinner spot in the area again.
Not great service. Band was ok. It has potential!

My husband and I have dined in restaurants, from New York to California, and one is rarely impressed by a restaurant’s food, ambiance, and the personal, that I felt the need to write a review.
Starting off, Fabio, the Chef takes the time to greet us and confirm that we are comfortable and is there anything else that we may need. This is something one would normally see in higher-end restaurants. The food is Asian Fusion and fantastic. Sean the bartender, makes the best Mai-Tais ever. This elegant hidden Gem has a waterfront view, the ambiance is wonderful, there is outside seating, couches as well as beautiful tables and chairs. Great for date night Happy Hour or hosting a client for a Business dinner
Decent spot

Amazing place to eat, Sarahi was amazing!!! I highly recommend her as
Jade has excellent food. However service is just not on par. Chef Favio came to our table to ensure we were enjoying ourselves. The wait staff can certainly use some training, but I'm sure we'll go back for more of Chef Favio's wonderful food!!
Excellent experience all the way around! I will be back!
Live singing, friendly service, excellent food!
Jade is a great place! On the water with beautiful views. The food is really good and the service is fantastic. They have music and entertainment most nights and happy hour all day on tuesdays. All you can eat sushi during the week. Highly recommend a visit.

Excellent 👌
Happy Hour at Jades is such a great experience because of Sean the bartender. He provides friendly, outstanding service that keeps us coming back time after time. My favorite HH dishes are Spicy Green Beans along with a bento box Kung Pao beef. One evening, Fabio the chef was kind enough to let us try the sauce for his brunch specialty dish Drunken French Toast, it was perfection.
First time here and I had the best time. There was karaoke and the absolutely best server ever! Serena made this the best night I’ve had in a long time! She absolutely made sure we had a good time and made me feel like I was home! Thank you so much Serena for making this the absolute best experience! I hope I get to have you as my server again next time I visit! Thank you so much again for making this the best experience I’ve had in a long time!!
Every Monday night they have comedy shows and I love that. This is a lovely restaurant and it's beautifully decorated with a very attentive staff. If you have a gathering or event, renting this location would be perfect. Very nice establishment.
Cute place with live music in the evening.
Went there for the sunset and early dinner. Food is good even though I would not recommended onigiri sushi
A Venice institution. Perfect sunset date spot.
My family walked in for a nice surprise for our mother on mother's day. WE GOT TO THE FRONT HOST AND SHE SAID THAT THERE IS NO WALK INS. Let me tell you something their was no one there.
It's expensive but you're paying for location. It's right on the water . Live music. Etc.
Not a fan......
Excellent
Back patio looks out on boats tied up. . .fresh air, music, totally sweet servers and friendly people
Food and service was excellent
I got hurt in their bathroom they never called to see if I'm ok their bathroom is dangerous it needs to be fixed!
I love how this restaurant has a homely feel to it. The staff are polite and attentive, friendly, totally welcoming.. There is always something going on. Whether it's live music, karaoke, comedy, or belly dancing they have it all. I recommend calling ahead of time to find out what the entertainment will be.
It was dark and the floor was wet and the seating isn't structured for privacy or personal dining. Food was ok.
Very clean restaurant on the water. Inside and outside dining areas available. There is entertainment throughout the week with friendly service and good food! We will be back!!
Not good. Everything was extremely overcooked. We came at 4pm on a Sunday and it kind of felt like we just got the leftovers from lunch service. We won't return.
Wonderful ambiance to enjoy great food. Plenty of parking and worth finding in the corner closest to 2nd St. & PCH in Marina Pacifica shopping center.
You can count on Jade to deliver each and every visit… The food & the service is always spot on.
Great food and ambiance! Love the super fresh sushi and rolls! Has great entertainment and dancing on a regular basis. A great local hangout and friendly spot. The go to for locals for food and fun! Book the covered outdoor patio for a special event or dinner- you will love it! It has a fire pit that everyone can sit around and right on the water.
The service was slow.
Great food, great prices, and free comedy shows!
I like that they have live music but the place needs to be upgraded and redone. It looks tired and old
A great deal for Happy Hour! My next goal is to try the all-you-can-eat sushi! The service is nice and the food is really good!
Atmosphere of this place appeals to all people. I'm a R & B girl but, that country western band was awesome! Management, the servers are super patient and nice. The cook even came out to greet us. This will be a regular for the twenty five of us who were here to celebrate Chamara Dudley's 28th birthday!
Very friendly Staff
A friend referred this place to my husband and I for the great Sushi rolls they make. We visited for our first time on a Monday @ 3:30pm to their Sushi bar. Husband decided to order a few single Sushi rolls of which was handed an AMAZINGLY delicious platter, including other delectable samples (pic provided), created by Jose the Sushi Chef. His rolls didn't skimp on fish (often happens at Sushi restaurants).
Kudos to Jose!! 👏👏 😋
And I ordered the Korean BBQ plate (well done, brown rice instead of white and all broccoli instead of mixed vegetables). Wow, I'm telling you, these Korean beef ribs (pic provided) were almost as thick as a general steak, not like the local thin Korean ribs and the flavor was PERRRRFECT! 👍FAB-U-LOUS!!! 👍
*Don't forget the hot Chai tea*
Will visit again FOR SURE!! 😃
We always have a lively and fun experience at Jade. Great outdoor seating along the canal or patio. Had a lovely dinner party around the fire pit and listened to a really good cover band, enjoyed a variety of the rolls (the Tiger was our favorite) and the relaxed and fun atmosphere. Will come again!
So our friend Chad introduced us to this restaurant yesterday, and I have to say it is a really nice cozy place where you can hang out with your friends have good drinks, great food, enjoy a live band and you can even sit outdoors with some fire. We ordered a variety of food and all of it tasted great! We also got deserts after and the brownie and fried icecream were SO good!!
Over all, great place! Would definetely recommend !!
The service is excellent. From the moment that my party walked in, received friendly and speedy service. The rolls were great. The first was very fresh. The drinks were tasty. The tables outside give you a great view and a relaxing vibe. Highly recommend Jade Restaurant.
Went for a class reunion.
This restaurant was understaffed during my visit and the bathroom was disgusting. The food we ordered was good but nothing special. Each person at the table received their food at different times. When I went to use the restroom it was dirty and there was a giant hole in the floor. I was disappointed because when I went there two years ago I very much enjoyed myself.
Great place to eat
We came on a Sunday night. It must be their slow night because they had a bunch of belly dancers, which isn't really their theme. But the food was good and the service excellent.
Delightful Asian fusion cuisine. Dinner served in lacquered Japanese bento boxes on table overlooking marina. Quiet ambiance fr intimate dining. Superb service. Delicious food.
Fantastic all you can eat sushi! M-Th!
The food is great but I especially love the karaoke
First time visiting and we had a fantastic time. The staff was so attentive and nice. The sweet and sour chicken and teriyaki chicken were delicious. The fried rice was moist and flavorful. Best part to me was the live music. The lady singer and bass guitarist were amazing with a soothing sound. Can't wait to come back.
Our server was great and attentive...but....as we came in we asked for outdoor seating was told nothing available...but I looked and 3 or4 tables free and looked again mid meal and still avail :( not happy about that
We took advantage if the bento specials...maybe the normal meals would have been better...won't know as probably won't be back...
Food was sub-par....I had the Mongolian beef...thin slice and very dry bento (fired rice, edemame, salad , protein ...
My friend had the orange beef bento 2-3/10 flavor not that great
Dumplings were so-so, 2/10 egg rolls 1/10 bland and mushie...didn't even eat the salad, dressing wasn't appetizing...
But server was sweet. Think his name was Carsten? I hate giving subpar reviews but....just my opinion
Esp not letting us have an outdoor table just because 2 of us...and to see empty spaces :( not cool
Food, drinks and service were top shelf! Thank you Mary!
Great Food, the Wagyu Sliders/sushi/salads are our favorite! + the lychee martini’s. We love the manager, Adam!
Great happy hour and drinks
My wife and I returned to give the restaurant a second chance we brought the parents in for their first time. I'm going to say is the drinks were weak watered down the lettuce wrap appetizer and the calamari were not good the lettuce wraps was not fresh the chicken was dry the calamari was like chewing rubber. We all ordered different versions of the Chinese box off the happy hour menu and to our displeasure all the food was cold the rice tasted sour the orange chicken was like chewing on many sponges kung pao chicken had no flavor the honey walnut shrimp was chewing like rubber. The service was not attentive all the waitresses and staff just walked around the restaurant goofing off we had to almost yell to get people's attention to come to our table. Parents called us after they left and said they went home and got sick and they're not feeling good this morning due to the food. I highly suggest you guys make some changes down there at what could be a awesome place to dine especially since it's waterfront.
Always a great time with great food
Smelled like old grease...I had hoped by the prices it would be nice, but the 2 people into the karaoke guy it seemed dire...glad we ate at eat fantastic instead and decided to have a drink here instead of dinner..
My sister was performing with her friends' band called The Idellix. We went to support and try out their dinner options which were recommended. I'm glad we waited because the food was exquisite! The atmosphere was beautiful for date night and to watch a love performance. I recommend it if you've never been.
It smells old. it would help if the carpet was cleaned or better yet removed. and the couches were smelly.
The food wasn't that tasty....
Food was great service sucked took about 30 min to have our order taken and about 30 min for the food than waited another 20 min for our bill.. next time ill order take out instead of dine in..
The service was friendly. Nice place to sit with friends. They have changed names and owners. The interior hasn't changed. Our meal, however.... I wanted to like this place but some of the items were subpar. Our dining companion couldn't finish his orange chicken; he only finished about a quarter of the plate. It wasn't cooked thoroughly. This seemed to be the same problem with the previous owner/name. The sushi was better, though. The drinks were okay. I ordered a lychee martini. Everywhere I have gone, a lychee martini was opaque white. Here is was pink and tasted more like a cosmopolitan with a lychee thrown in. They had live music the evening we went (Saturday). They were a good band who sang popular covers. There is a parking lot but finding your way to the entrance is hard if you don't know where it is.
Well, I do NOT recommend Jade restaurant, probably you why?
I just wanted to let you know that I had a very bad experience, that I was in this restaurant on Thursday, spending a nice time with friends, thinking that there would be no problem. But my surprise is that they did NOT follow the hygiene and safety protocols, because on Friday I woke up with a severe stomach ache and on Friday afternoon I already started vomiting and diarrhea, a fever of 105.2 all night, I have been like this since Friday until Wednesday, and I couldn't go to work, but I have a lot of headache and it won't go away, I had to make an appointment with my doctor to have him check me out, I thought it was something I had eaten and I realize that there were more people and friends with the same symptoms as me, who were together sharing a pleasant moment, but sitting at different tables, only with the same waitress who was serving us. I cannot go to work for several days due to this inconvenience and the owner or manager of this Jade restaurant did not even apologize for what happened, that gives a lot to talk about, what kind of person, who does not care about his clients, only money , how sad. Be very careful.
Me and 28 people become sick on Thursday 3/16, at a dinner party at the restaurant. All of us with food poison after eating shrimp and/or chicken. I hope the restaurant will be more careful next time.
ate here with my friends the sushi gave us horrible food poisoning and i’m still recovering i don’t recommend eating here unless you have a death wish.
This is my first time in this restaurant and I have to say, I loved everything. The atmosphere, the music, the service, the food - everything was excellent.
I came here to celebrate my birthday and I really enjoyed myself.
Hope to come here again.
Came here for a birthday, this was my first time and I loved the decor, the music, the guitarist and the freshness of the food. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars was because of the lack of staff for the size party we had. Over 15 people and 1 wiater, it took a while before he got around to everyone to place their orders. Maybe next time, the Manager could assess the situation a little better and have someone else help.
Loved the duck here and the fire cracker shrimp was boom too
Good food for a good price
Don't throw your $$ away, food is bad! Rice was muchie, walnut shrimp was cold! I can't believe this restaurant is still in business.
Great place for a date!
On a whim, we stopped by for lunch and were pleasantly surprised. Despite being a Saturday, there was ample parking. The dim interior wasn't to our taste, but the outdoor seating by the water was delightful. Although the AYCE wasn't available, the sushi rolls we tried - including rainbow, Philly, and spicy tuna - were delicious and fresh. Service was excellent and the serene location was perfect for relaxing and conversing. The prices may be high, but the seclusion and waterfront view make it worthwhile. We plan to return to sample more of the menu, including their extensive dessert offerings.
Nice place, nice staff, salmon entree overcooked. The rolls were good. Older crowd.
Food was good, live entertainment was good, place needs a remodel and really good cleaning.
My friend and I went here to catch up and eat what I hoped to be great food.
We walked into the restaurant and I noticed that there were barely any diners there, which I thought was good. We stood there for a few minutes, which I was surprised about. 3 employees came by to tell us that someone would come to assist us soon.
A few minutes after we were seated, one employee gave us glasses of water without us asking for water, which I appreciated. My friend and I were able to talk a bit until a man started singing and playing guitar. He was very talented. Our waiter was very nice. He noticed my friend and I were deep in conversation throughout our meal and left us alone after checking on us once after we got our food, which was a plus in my book. He kept walking around the tables so we just had to wait until he got back to our table to get boxes and our check.
Onto the food, I ordered orange chicken and white rice. My friend got shrimp fried rice. Luckily my friend enjoyed her food. That must've been the most flavorless orange chicken I've eaten. I found it funny that the plate for the chicken was huge and the bowl of rice was so small. I was a bit tempted to not ask for a box for my food but I wanted to see if my roommate would eat it. Otherwise, I plan to throw away my leftovers.
I feel extremely disappointed because I wanted to at least try the breakfast foods they offered during another visit. But after this experience, I don't want to be let down again.
Jade is so much better now. It is so much better than when it was Forbidden City. I will definitely go more often now. The food and service were great. Drinks taste good, but need stronger pours.
The restaurant used to have a bad service but the food was decent..now it lacks of decent food and service is so so. Not a good place to go around LB.
We enjoyed spending Christmas Eve here.
I did not eat...
Sunday happy hour is fantastic. The food is awesome. Pick a Bento box.
Popped in spontaneously for a quick lunch and did not regret it. There is more than enough parking and it was a Saturday afternoon! The inside is very dark and dim (not my favorite, personally) but they seated us outside and gave us a really nice seats by the water. The AYCE wasn’t available that day, sadly, but the rolls were super delicious and I would come back for the $40 AYCE. We tried the rainbow, Philly, and one of the spicy tuna rolls(?) The rolls have fun name and I felt that everything was fresh and delicious. The service was great and it overall felt like a great little secluded area to chill and talk. I think much of the price includes the view and seclusion, but I really enjoyed that. I will definitely be back and I’ll try more of the food items on the menu. They also had a long dessert menu that I look forward to trying!
Stopped to get a quick dinner before a movie. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. It was happy hour too, so prices were really good.
Not sure what happened, but our take out was horrible tonight! Hot & Sour soup tasted like salt water, no vegetables or tofu.
Mongolian Beef had too much salt as well, sauce was like water and beef was too chewy!
Great food
This is worst sushi I have ever eaten, so salty and not very good at all
Floor was sticky... got a dirty glass - Soup was cold- and the meal was OK - Seems like with location etc... should be top notch...
Great happy hour item's 😊
As a professional chef, no thank you.
-My plate was hotter than the green beans
- Sushi appetizer, was basically warm
- Honey walnut shrimp, sauce 8/10, shrimp batter Hard pass.
- Maple duck, undercooked duck and soggy skin.
I think the most disappointing, disturbing thing was the rice. Wrong rice grain and cooked wrong. Please use a rice cooker at least.
Also please get the soda gun fixed. Replace the tank.
9/13/22
3:30-4:30pm
Too expensive for what you get
Please order dessert, before they close your tab.
Great place to treat yourself (or someone) to a stellar cocktail and creative food. The bar has a cozy, dimly lit, atmosphere and the bartenders are always charming!!
Fantastic place
Liked the inside enclosure patio as well as some setting outside. Inside was a little noisy. Great view of the waterway in that area.
I went on my Birthday and l was disappointed because they don’t do anything for you no ice cream or cake ☹️
Food was good and the bands are Rockin and Rolling. And you can drive your boat there.
I've been coming to this location for the past 2 decades. And it just seems this place is ageless. From the wonderful location it sits at, next to waterway... lovely, to the inviting entrance where you should take photos 📸. Once inside the have great bar area... karaokes and band stand, and great Asian fusion themed food and ambiance. What I enjoy best is the food and drinks. Superb in every sense, they've added an outside and inside patio with fire 🔥 pit. GREAT location for a first date... for an anniversary... or a quick stop before seeing a movie which is next door. Prices are super reasonable and the experience will have you come again.
Food was great however the host and the women bringing out our food were really rude. The hostess was slamming down our waters and forks. It was pretty awkward. Our waitress was really nice and made up for it, I could tell she was over compensating for others not doing their part.
Great place to go as a family and have a good meal. Servers are wonderful and pleasant!!
The perfectly executed delivery and prompt service made a night out to remember. Thank you both for being stellar and keep up the great work. Dream team right there.
I like going to Jade it's a very nice place good people work there good food.
Delicious food!
During my experience, customer service is good. There are a few ways to enter the restaurant which may make finding a host/hostess more difficult than finding a seat alone. The interior is spacious, and outdoor seating is cool. I order a Cucumber Avocado Roll (Hand) and Chop Chey (w/ Tofu). The Cucumber Avocado Roll (Hand) is different for me since I usually eat cut sushi (basically round slices); (Hand) is one big roll like an ice-cream-in-a-cone version of a Cucumber Avocado Roll (Cut) that tastes good alone though I think tastier with Ginger, Kikkoman Sauce, and Wasabi. The Chop Chey's Sesame Soy Sauce really makes the meal more flavorful and juicy! Otherwise, the vegetables don't taste as juicy. A little Kikkoman adds a good subtle flavor to the Chop Chey which I think tastes best with the tofu.
Had a couple of starters, great food. I will be going back again!
Amazing atmosphere and service. Highly recommend for solo or group outings. There was live music and we were right on the water, it was a beautiful experience. The food was amazing and servers were so friendly!
The food was good but it didn’t appear too busy and the service was very slow. We had to flag our server down multiple times to ask for silverware and the check. Other than that it was pretty good! The shishito peppers and the rainbow roll were stellar! The pad Thai has a unique flavor that’s good but not what we were expecting, and the salt and pepper pork was alright. Really beautiful waterfront view and entertaining performers!
Yuck!
