This is the BEST Thai Restaurant in Orange County, CA. Food is TASTY,MOUTH WATERING AND YUMMY 😋. There is no comparison... The lunch specials are EXCELLENT, Monday thru Friday with an unbeatable price. Look at the menu for lunch specials. This is now one of my Favorite places ❤️. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE 👌
I came here with my wife for her birthday since she really loves Thai food. This is hands down the best Thai food restaurant that we have been to so far and trust me we've been to a lot. Their vegetables were fresh and cooked well, the tofu tasted amazing. My favorite was definitely the fish cakes, definitely the best fish cakes I have ever had and each bite was an amazing rush of flavor. I think I spent our whole meal complimenting them. Our food came out hot and it came out fast, waitress was extremely helpful and always smiling. The atmosphere was friendly and I loved that they had videos of the chefs cooking their rice and different pad thai dishes playing. All in all it was an amazing experience that made my wife's birthday trip even more amazing for her.
What a find. We were at a lacrosse game in Laguna Hills and were all hungry when it finished. The kids wanted Thai and we ended up here.
We ordered way too much food. The portions were healthy. We ordered 2 soups, garlic/pepper beef, Pad See Ew, and curry. The food was amazing. My son said it was the best food he has had.
We topped it off with mango rice for dessert. I didn't know you could do that with rice, but it was delicious.
Prices are reasonable. Overall, we are coming back even though it is a bit of a drive. Great job, Elephant Cafe!
Excellent service and excellent food. I wouldn’t necessarily recommend the cream cheese wontons or the eggrolls, but the main dishes were flavorful and great. Their medium spicy is Thai medium, so be cautious if you can’t handle spicy foods. The crab fried rice and Pas Kee Mao were wonderful.
We've been coming here for a couple weeks (takeout only so far) and everything is always great. Staff is friendly, prices aren't crazy, and the food tastes wonderful. We will definitely keep coming back.
This is one hundred percent one of the best places to get Thai food in this area. Their flavors are really close to the ones in Thailand. Their penang curry for example is flavorful and is creamy while not being greasy. Their golden triangle is a must try with perfectly chewy fried chicken paste topped with a sweet chili dipping sauce. Their dessert also contains a variety of items, my favorite being mango sticky rice and their fried banana with ice cream.
I've been a fan of Elephant Café for a while, and I have to say, the food is still decent—some dishes are even quite good. But unfortunately, I can't recommend it like I used to. The biggest issue? The portions have shrunk dramatically while the prices have more than doubled. What used to feel like a good value just isn’t anymore.
Also, a word of advice: skip the spring rolls. They’re not worth it. You can find much better ones elsewhere.
If money isn’t a concern and you’re craving Thai food, you might still enjoy a meal here. But for those looking for quality and quantity at a fair price, Elephant Café just isn’t the spot anymore.
I ordered 3 entrees through DoorDash pickup at 6:30pm. Pick up was scheduled by Elephant Cafe for 7:35pm and they didn’t have my order until after 8pm. So frustrating. Many others waiting around, too.
My favorite Thai place in the area. Consistently solid and authentic.
We've been coming here for a couple weeks (takeout only so far) and everything is always great. Staff is friendly, prices aren't crazy, and the food tastes wonderful. We will definitely keep coming back.
Very good... thank you.
This restaurant has a lot of good Thai dishes with a lot of flavor and service is pretty good as well
Their Som Tum salad is absolutely delicious and their pad kee mao is also phenomenal
My only criticism is that the dishes just need more spice. I ordered some red curry with spicy heat and you could still taste the overall sweetness of the coconut milk
Took a padthai to go yesterday, and had a big blond hair inside. Will not go back
Good 👍
Kai Koa and Green Curry are our weekly drivers here when we order. Great authentic food cooked by staff that cares what they create. Ambiance is great if you choose to dine in. Take out also available.
Solid. We’ve had take out from here. Pakeemao and vermicelli noodles are good.

My wife and I came here last night for dinner. We’ve been once before, but many years ago. Everything was wonderful! As many have said, reasonable prices, and great food. We’ll be back!
I enjoyed the pumpkin curry for lunch with tofu. Quality of tofu was alright - not the best but overall food was good - nice lunch and my server Nina was really nice!
This is my go-to place for incredibly flavorful Thai food. Ever since the waitress recommended their pumpkin curry on our first visit, I have been an avid fan and customer for the last 3 years. Although we have moved away, coming back to have their curry and beef pad see ew always hits the spot and is worth the drive.
My girlfriend and I just had the pleasure of having dinner at the elephant Café. The food was so delicious. We had the shrimp spring rolls and the pumpkin curry with brown rice.
Nan, Bake, Nina and Kate exude warmth and kindness. We love this place and appreciate everybody who was involved in making it a amazing and delicious experience.
I really enjoyed my food both times I visited. Only issues I ever have is that I want a lot of spice and fresh Thai chilies! This place had some chilies for me, but not enough heat! That being said, it was always busy while I was there.
I’ve been a customer for at least 7 years. I noticed they have redone their menu a couple of times and each time it gets better. I’ve also noticed they do a fairly good job at up keeping their furniture, decor and atmosphere in general. I used to think the food was great when they first opened but they consistently out do themselves. The food gets better every time I visit. They always try their best to be accommodating as possible with modifications to dishes whether it’s preference issues or dietary restrictions.
Love their taste profile. Good vegetarian options. They do a good job accommodating and delivering requests for kids. The booths feel a bit tight on space, but the chair seating in the back is nice and airy.
Discovered this place 2 weeks ago and my husband and I have already gone 4 times. Best Thai food we’ve tried since moving to California, with good service and a nice atmosphere.
Good and welcoming place. Good food and prices. Recommending.
Everyone is so friendly and nice here. Their food is a little more authentic than other Thai restaurants I have been to in the area. It's a shame they aren't close to where I live or I'd go there more often.
Be sure to try out the Thai Shabu. It's a cool concept and very filling.
Small Thai restaurant located on the corner of El Toro Rd x Muirlands Blvd. They offer indoor/outdoor seating and ample parking in their lot.
Food was tasty and pricing was very affordable. We got some beers and 5 entrees, which cost about $100. Service was OK.
We plan to be back!
This has become our local go-to Thai restaurant and we love recommending it to friends.
They are always so welcoming to our family, great place to bring kids. We've never gone with more than 5 people, but they have a couple spots where I think you could do a larger group.
Everything we've had has been good. Our go-tos are the beef pad see ew and the roasted duck curry.
Food was great, staff are friendly and professional. Definitely coming back in the future!
Best Thai restaurant ever with a outstanding service!
What a find. We were at a lacrosse game in Laguna Hills and were all hungry when it finished. The kids wanted Thai and we ended up here.

My new favorite thai restaurant. New to the area. We have had the very best near SF. This was just slightly under that. Had spicy basil rice and drunken noodles. Both very authentic flavors. Had take out but looked very cute inside. Very nice and friendly owner. Will be back soon for the crying tiger snd other favorites. Great job
One of the best Panang Curry’s I’ve had, my go-to for this craving!
Our favorite Thai place in Irvine area.
Really enjoy the yellow curry! Quality food
Best Thai I've ever had! Tom Kha soup was brought out first in a silver pot on fire. It was delicious, and the Basil Fried Rice and Garlic and pepper dish was just as good.
Real Thai food with good service and environment. Not too sweet
Comida muy saboras
Delicious food, great lunch specials! We had the yellow curry, pad thai and pad see ew- all with great flavor.
It was OK. The Tom Kha soup wasn't like the Thai place where I lived in Hawaii. The flavors hadn't melded, and there was no finesse in the vegetables and tofu being cut in large chunks. The mushrooms in Hawaii were more exotic, not white plain mushrooms from Albertsons, like here. See photo.
They were kind enough to let me order something else, and I got the green curry. It was OK. Not as good as other places.
My husband has to have More bland food and he thought the pad Thai was good.
Like most Thai places, they can accommodate celiacs and gluten free diners.
Great lunch specials, excellent food and large portions. Has been very consistent over the years. Dinner service is great as well.
Some of the best Thai food in town! We have been ordering delivery for years. Only recently did we decide to go in for a meal - the only disappointment was that we hadn't gone into the restaurant sooner. 😊
Great service. Quick and attentive staff. Staff is also knowledgeable about what is in the food.
Curries are my go to. Don't sleep on the satay or pork belly - amazing. While I haven't had everything on the menu, I've had a lot of different things and everything is from really good to great! Highly recommended!
Food was ok. Lunch specials wasn't great honestly. Portions were way smaller than other lunch specials at other Thai places. But if you're in a rush, this is place to go then
Awesome thai...best around!
Excellent Thia lunch menu. Great service.
This is one hundred percent one of the best places to get Thai food in this area. Their flavors are really close to the ones in Thailand. Try the pumpkin curry w chicken, green papaya salad and sticky rice w mango for dessert.

The pricing on the menu needs to be updated to reflect the actual price. No one wants to be charged differently other than the prices stated on the menu. If you want to increase the prices, you may want to be forthcoming with your customers, so they won’t feel like that they’ve been cheated……
First time here. Been wanting to try this place every time I pass by. The inside was decorated nicely but we opted to sit outside because of our dog. The menu had different rice/noodle/soup dishes as well as lunch specials. The noodles we ordered were tasty and the service was also great. The hot sauces that were brought to us came in cute containers and had different hot sauces in them that went well with the noodles.
Pad Kee Mao - fresh noodles, not too salty or too sweet, I ordered with pork. My top choice here.
Pad See Ew - my safe choice at Thai restaurants. It was good but slightly salty and sweet.
Thai iced tea- not bad and reasonablely priced.
Lastly the patio we sat at was lovely, and the waiter even brought water for my dog. Would come back again and try other dishes on the menu.
The experience is very good and the flavors of Thai is absolutely delicious.
Our waitress was engaging and knowledgeable about the foodn very pleasant. The food was excellent. I had the pumpking curry with chicken. I highly recommend it!
Buzzy speaker aside, good peasant Thai with chunky veggies and generous portions. Iced tea on the sweet side but nice selection of Thai beers. Recommend the duck curry and definitely mango with sticky rice if available!
Best Thai food in Aliso/Lake Forest/Laguna area!
A wonderfully decorated place with very kind attentive staff! Very clean. Food was very delicious!
Great food! So glad to find great Thai restaurant,
Had the chicken curry and fried wontons and loved it! 🔥🔥🔥
Great service and food!
Consistently delicious
Fantastic service! Very attentive staff and happy personalities!
Great food and great service! I had fun here with some coworkers. Everyone enjoyed their food. The only suggestion would be to use half & half rather than condensed milk in thai tea. It would make a huge difference in the taste.
Thai cruises are the best. I can have it every day.
Good service!
Highly recommend Kra Pow chicken with fried egg n Thai boat noodles.
Delicious food and good services
Tried 5 dishes and all were amazing. Became our go to place
This place has some good food if you order a certain way. Spice level, meat options, rice options.. it depends on the day. I wish they gave more food for the prices they give.
Amazing food, my favorite place down the street. Order very spicy if you dare, it takes me multiple breaks in between to finish but WOW, they understand spicy!!
It took almost 2 hours for them to prepare one item for delivery. When I called he lied and said your food is ready, even though UberEats told me restaurant hasn’t prepared the food.
Poor service aside, please be ethical to your customers.
Not a flashy place but that doesn't matter. Food is really good, properly cooked with veggies still crunchy, not overly cooked into the same texture as noodles. :) This place has been in the neighborhood for a Long time and they're the right answer to "where do we go for Thai?".
This place closes at “3pm”, but they stop serving at 2:15 so really they close at around 2pm and they don’t open til 4:30pm. This place the the strangest most inconvenient hours. They close early without warning.
Also, if you need to work on your lunch break don’t bother. They have outlets but refuse to let you use their wife. 😂
Last time I’m coming here.
The food was phenomenal! I loved the curry (my most favorite of Thai foods) and I had the sweet rice with mango for dessert. So satisfied by that meal. Also the Leo Thai beer was the only beer I've ever seen to have an ingredients logo. Staff was incredibly happy and had very sweet and proper etiquette. I will definitely be coming back the next time I'm down in the area. I'd easily rate a 7/5!
Excellent food. I had the Roast Duck Curry, medium hot (if you like spicy, get it all the way spicy and add the bright green little peppers they give you on the side...perfect!). The service was great and she always had a smile...quick, efficient, and attentive. The atmosphere was pleasant and on par for this type of establishment. Again though, excellent food!
I’m a new vegetarian and was looking for places with vegetarian options, i had the cream cheese wontons and the massaman curry with fried tofu and it was excellent. The curry had such a delicate umami taste to it, with just the rights amounts of sweetness, spicyness and other flavors that brought it together. Will definitely be coming back.
I've been coming here for almost a decade, amazing Thai food and even better prices
My new favorite Thai Resturant. Have not messed up my order so far.
I believe the food is pre-made and frozen. It is all good but doesn't taste fresh. We will be going back to our normal Thai restaurant sadly
Pad kee Mao- 2 stars. Never had lettuce in my phad kee Mao before. Did not come with bell peppers and bamboo shoots. Minimal flavor
Panama curry- 2 stairs. Lacks flavor.
$10.95 lunch price was good but food not that great
Great pad Thai and crispy orange Chicken, delivered very quickly.
Very good Thai Food here. One of the best I've had in Orange County. Very friendly staff and prices not bad for what you get. Definitely better than Thai Spice.
Friendly staff and amazing Thai food. Highly recommend
Food was great. Service was poor tonight (Christmas day). Took 15 minutes for someone to take our order and nobody followed up after the food was delivered. Water was only refilled once at the end. Left a few dollars tip. Phone was constantly ringing and not being answered. Won't be back for a while!
Very slow
Good food
Been ordering takeout from here for a few years. Containers smaller, okay. But now when I add beef I get three small triangles. The curry container is only 3/4 full. Really disappointed, their service is great and the restaurant has a nice ambiance. With how expensive it is now I don't feel comfortable ordering again, and that's such a bummer
Love this Thai restaurant, taste more Thai authentic than other Thai places
Ordered 3 dishes and an app. The kraken pow was amazing, the fries rice was average at best, and the rad nah was not good and had no flavor. The Golden triangles app was good. Peanut sauce was really smooth, had separated, was sweet with no spiciness. Possibly a revisit but not likely. The waiter was very friendly and honestly the only reason this rating is a 3 instead of a 2.
my favorite thai place so far. the tom yum is my mom and i's favorite so far. can't wait to try more awesome things :)
This is the best Thai place in town! The green curry (get it extra spicy) is to die for. It’s the perfect amount of coconut flavor that isn’t too overwhelming. Also, if you want “very spicy” - you will NOT be disappointed my mouth was watering in the best way! Oh and the pad Thai - don’t get me started! It reminds me of when I visited Thailand.
Also a shoutout to the customer service. They had made a small error in my order and when I called, they made it right by DRIVING to my house to deliver my food! And they included a Thai iced tea for the error. THIS is customer service. Thank you, elephant cafe
Best Thai food period. Super friendly staff, very caring!
We ordered take out. Good food and good service.
Je of our families favorites! Pad Thai is excellent, kind staff, also yellow curry is the Bonn. Support local and eat here often.
I love this place , food people and much more
Great Thai food. I like the yellow curry but have tried many other dishes. All were delicios. I can't wait to go back.
Food is great
Delicious Thai food. Excellent customer service. Will be back for sure.
The BEST thai food I've had in years! Super quick & friendly service, and mouth watering food. So glad we visited :)
Food was good but server started by recommending two dishes that were almost exactly the same as an appetizer and then entree.
He then decided to spent at least an hour on a nearby table talking loudly about his side hustle of repairing cars or something. Loud enough that we could hear every word, and I could only imagine being those people captured by their server.
He then didn't put in to go order for us we asked for during the meal, forgot a water he offered himself and then had us sitting there at the end with our table cleaned of plates for about fifteen minutes waiting for a check which we assumed was waiting for the to go order to be ready and ignoring us through out the meal. We had to ask for the check itself.
Took a good (not amazing) meal and ruined a nice night out Likely won't be returning because of the experience.
Love love love this place! The pad Thai is amazing. I’m absolutely obsessed with this place. They’re costumer service is impeccable. They are always ready to help. They’re Thai tea is also pretty good. Would and have recommended this place to everyone.
Good service but food was average.
We ordered green curry and chicken pad thai, both were excellent. Green curry with tofu, just amazing!
Nice atmosphere but food not so tasty.
Personally Thai food is my favorite cousins.
I have been seeking for nice Thai restaurant around Irvine and traveled up to New port beach.
Finally I found best Thai restaurant ever my life in CA in 10 years.
My wife and i surprised after taste Pad tai EW, Crab fried rice, Eggplant with Tofu & Squid salad.
It was amazing😀
I surely recommend this spot as top tier Thai restaurant in southern cal!👍👍
Very hypocritical service, not friendly to Asians
Great authentic Thai food. I ordered the Satay Chicken and the Pad KaProw with fried egg. Both were outstanding and the service was great. If you real Thai food I recommend you visit!
I don’t know. I didn’t go here. Stop trying to frame me google 😆
One of my favorite places for Thai Food. Great food; the curry is so flavorful and well done. Good service and good prices.
Our first experience here was great. It was packed when we arrived ~7:30 so it's clearly popular with the locals. We found out it's family run with the family making their own recipes. And let me tell you, the flavors are IMPECCABLE! The Tom Kah soup blew me away, not because they put it in a type of "hot pot" with a jet of fire shooting out the middle, but because it was SO flavorful and creamy and just perfect. The pad see ew was well done with very mild flavors (as expected) and just a little chili dressing gave it the perfect pop. It certainly felt like a friendly family business and we look forward to returning!
Tasty. Good portion. Great price. Will definitely come back :)
Excellent service and food! Great prices too!
It's a little spicy 🥵 for me, but I'm a lightweight!
Absolutely the top Thai food. It reminded me of the first time I had Thai food an completely fell in love. The chicken larb, pineapple rice, and veggie curry were absolutely famous! Chill vibes, very friendly and respectful. Thanks cap! 🖖🏾👋🏾🤙🏾
We ordered Pad thai and shoo shee shrimp. It was super delicious.
My wife and I always swing by coming back from my parents. Our favorites include pad see ew and yellow curry. Only downside is that they're closed on Sundays and I believe Mondays, so we don't visit my parents those days.
Best Pinapple fried rice and good portions. Love their food. Overall great quality/quantity and value for money!!!
Came here the other day to try out some Thai Food in south OC. I found this place and decided to give it a shot.
It's pretty easy to find Elephant Cafe as its located on the very corner of that intersection. It sits next to a Nail Saloon so look for some really bright lights and youre at the right place.
I order my food via their website and picked it up, but walking in, the restaurant itself was small and cozy so I can definitely see myself coming back and ordering to eat inside. I ordered the Pad See Ew with Chicken, Pineapple Fried Rice, Chicken Satay and Thai Tea. The food was delicious and really hit the spot. What really took the spot for the night was indeed the Pad See Ew. The Pineapple Fried Rice was really good as well but there was only like two shrimp. The Chicken Satay was good as well but I definitely had better.
Overall, I would definitely come back since this place is just so convenient and decently priced.
Great prices and food is always delicious! They have a great lunch special too. This is my go to restaurant for Thai food!
Excellent Thai food 👌
I enjoy Pad kee mao, vegetable. I am not a vegetarian but I love the vegetables! They have several kinds of Currys 🍛 and we usually go for the lunch specials. They start you with soup, then the main dish with rice and salad. I highly recommend this place.
