I ordered the BBQ chicken and spring rolls.
The chicken was way over cooked (dry white and dark meat). When I expressed this, the owner said: "that's the way you cook Thai Chicken, because they use sauce on top".
I have traveled thru Thailand, and have eaten 35 years of chicken at dozens of different thai restaurants. Ive never had chicken that dry.
I can't recommend this place.
We had papaya salad, pad thai and crispy pork belly. All of them were amazing!! We finished everything. Pad thai and papaya salad go so well together too. The restaurant was also very cute, I love the decoration on the wall. The service was amazing too. Will definitely revisit.
Had an amazing business lunch today. We sat outside in the front patio and enjoyed a Thai Salad and two orders of Chicken fried rice. Everything was cooked perfectly and full of delicious flavors.Thai Salad was fresh and bursting with flavor. Service was excellent and attentive to all our needs. If you love Thai food this is the place for you.
The most authentic thai food i’ve had in the states! Absolutely LOVED the food here and the service was amazing. Would definitely recommend!!
We stopped in for an early dinner. It's a small restaurant with limited seating. Many people do takeout instead.
We ordered 2 dinners and Spring Rolls as an appetizer. The spring rolls were good, but sticky and not wrapped tightly. They do give you plenty of sauces for the rolls. Kudos for that!
I ordered the Wok Basil with chicken. It was delicious. The vegetables were crisp, the sauce was just the right temperature (spice wise). I usually get brown rice but got white this time. The rice was perfect.
My wife is much more sensitive to certain tastes than I am and she couldn't eat her dinner because it was too salty. They tried to tone it down for her but we're not successful.
At the end, the waitress suggested we order the low-sodium version of the dish next time. Wish we'd known that ahead of time.

We had a wonderful lunch here! My sister recommended it so my mom and I had lunch here. The service and food were great!
I walk inside restautant all happy to have a meal. The server was to serious. He sat me down yook my Order as if was not happy to be there. After i finished. He gave me the bill. I paid with a card. He came back and expected me to write down a tip along with the total not knowing i was gonna pay the tip with cash. He seemed upset and said something.Because of his broken English i didnt capture exactly what he said. I question his frustration and he said something, and all i could capture was "next time just dont order". me all shocked. I stood sitting down as hevwalkef away. I reached for change and instead of leaving $5 tip, I Left $2.50. Never again going Back! :[
One of the best Thai restaurants in the San Diego area, this place has many authentic and delicious dishes. I particularly love the noodles, especially the Pad See-Ew with pork, and the fried rice dishes. These are my go-to choices when I want to test a chef’s skill, as they require cooking at high heat to achieve the perfect "Wok Hei"—that toasty, caramelized aroma that comes from high-heat wok cooking. The chef here never disappoints. Pass!
The open and bright atmosphere of the restaurant is lovely. For a lighter meal or when I'm on a diet, I often order the shrimp salad and larb chicken. Both are very tasty with just a hint of heat (you can request how hot you want), yet so refreshing.
Despite having a small staff, the service is fast and polite. They accommodate my special requests, which I greatly appreciate (just don’t go overboard and try to completely change the menu!). I never once got a rude service like some "shady" broken English review suggested (from a competitor?).
So so so good, great flavor, great heat. Sweetest staff and clean environment.
Ordered food 30 minutes ahead, when arrived on time was told 5-10 minutes wait. Then was told another 20 minutes wait. Overall 1 hour since placing order. Told them toddler is waiting in the car but they didn’t care.
This is the best Thai in Encinitas. Best for take-out, and quaint for dine-in.
Really great Indian food. Original spice combinations make it unique. Service is super-friendly and timely
We love this place. We usually get the food to go, so not much feedback on eating in. But the food is excellent.
Ordered the below:
1. Crispy Pork belly- worst item
On the menu- this was not crispy- chewy- microwave heated?? - was a 0/5
2. Spring rolls- were good 4/5
3. Satay. Chicken - was ok- 3/5
4. panang curry with TOFU- was pretty good- 4/5
5. Spicy Fried rice with chicken was really good too- 4/5
6.Drunken noodles- chicken was ok- 3/5
Service- was excellent - owner lady may be- 5/5
Place is very small, so plan accordingly.
Food was good but for the fries pork belly- just avoid FPBelly- rest of the food was really good.
Definitely recommend.
Well not very good thai.. messed up on the order forgot food items thw pad thai was flavorless and noodles were rubber and the dr u nken noodles nasty no taste at all probably esit won't go again

Soup very watery and no chicken way over price for a cup
Best yellow chicken curry!
I am a regular at this restaurant. Several occasions, when I order for pick up, my most favorite dish (fried banana with coconut ice cream) is not available. This is huge disappointment. Yesterday, I order for dinner and the person checked to confirm fried banana is available and I ordered two of them along with other menu items. I dove 14 miles to pick my order and I was told that fried banana is not available. Huge disappointment. To make things worst, after coming home, I found out that I was charged for two orders of fried banana!!. This is cheating regular customers !!
my favourite thai place ever! ive had food from other thai places and nothing compares to this one. everything about it is so good 🤤 always get their chicken and rice, spring rolls and the mango sticky rice and its heavenly. 100/10 please try this place at least once. only downside is that its a little pricey but its soooo worth it
Tom Kha side of brown rice. Although tofu was chunky it only had mushrooms and 2 bites of tomato. I asked for 8 on spice level but got 0. I asked for extra chili just in case but got 1 tiny salsa container - it didn’t make a difference. I also asked for soy sauce for the brown rice and the lady told me they don’t give soy sauce for their Thai dishes and especially wouldn’t suggest it for the Tom Kha. It actually did taste too salty , so no wonder, but I wanted it for my rice so she gave me hardly any in the tiny salsa container. $12.39 for a small soup and side of rice. Being so Cheap will hurt business. Plus, the dining room is STILL CLOSED, as if covid is and ever was a thing. Maybe they can’t find employees which is creating this lack environment.
Friendly staff, food is good albeit not memorable. Good enough for a quick meal.
This has been my go to Thai place for almost a decade. I love their drunken noodles, pad see ew noodles, boba, and spring rolls. Fun place to go with friends.
The Hearty Curry and Shrimp Cigars is some of the best Thai I have eaten in the country
Literally had 2 slices of carrots and 2 slices of potatoes in the yello curry lunch today!!!
We went there for lunch. We wanted to dine outside; the chairs were cabled together and locked. Asked if they would unlock chairs and were told it was raining; it wasn't. Asked if we could dine inside with a small dog, we were told no. Considering we are regular customers, we were very disappointed with their attitude and rudeness. You have lost good customers.
Spring rolls were good, but the pineapple chicken rice was horrible. The pineapples weren't fried, tasted like they came straight out of a can. The rice had zero flavor. I wasn't asked how spicy I wanted my dish. The chicken had a wax type of rubber look as well as taste to it.
The customer service was not much better than the food. I won't be wasting my time or money on this place again.
I’m easy to please when it comes to food, but OMG I just had my worst Thai food ever. No taste , missing the Potato in the yellow curry I guess the chef got overwhelmed and forgot to add it. Other entrees had no taste.
I hope they stay in business.
Food can be improved.
Do not waist your time and money .
Wow - chicken pad Thai = LEGIT! Now I have a new lunch go-to spot. Take out only still. So good!
We were served on paper plates!!!!! The chicken had a very odd texture and tasted fake. Very disappointed. Definitely not returning to this restaurant and I do not recommend it
Food is great. I love the yellow curry. #5 spice was just right.
I’m a huge fan of a yellow curry and I can’t even count how many of them I’ve already tried and how many Thai restaurants I’ve visited, always hoping for something near as good as curry from Thai society. Never happened.
It’s just delicious, and vegan! I don’t know how I could have lived without it before!
I order the coconut soup and pad thai amazing food
Had a bad enough experience that it was worth posting about. They messed up the spice level of all our orders. I ordered a higher spice level than my girlfriend and her dish was unbearably spicy she couldn’t eat more than 3 bites before having to put it away, and my spice level was non-existent. They also forgot a salad my sister ordered, so we drove to pick it up and when we got it we found multiple hairs in it.
The best thai food in this area if you’re looking for a lot of flavor. Recommended to those coming from urban areas who are used to really good international food. If you’re sensitive to rich flavors or can’t handle spice, maybe go somewhere else.
Friendly people, good food, quick service.
Yummy food.
The best Thai food I've ever had but if you think different to my opinion let me know asap & I'll be willing to try another spot but for now I totally love their food & drinks perfect for date night. Hope they are thinking to open another spot & make it a big location to have more room to sit down & eat.
Good Taste 😊
Nice staffs and best Thai Food ❤👍
Great food!
Three strikes against this place. First time, I ordered curry take out. Curry is liquid. They put the curry dish only in tin foil. By the time I got home, the curry leaked out in the bottom of the plastic bag and my car seat. Second time, I ordered curry and asked them to put it in something other than tin foil. They got that right. But, we found that the side of rice was missing after we drove all the way home. I decided they weren't really good at take out so I would just dine in next time. Third time, I went there and placed my order to dine in - they told me they weren't able to prepare the dish because they forgot to buy the ingredients. At the prices they charge for Thai food, they should deliver perfection. Each of my purchases was a disappointment and it all goes back to poor management. I'm a huge no on this place.
Great decor and ambiance, but the food isn't great. It's decent, but that's about all. The prices tend to be $2-$3 higher than Thai restaurants usually are.
This a very good restaurant to
The portion sizes are too small. Not that you want to over eat, but not under eat either.
The coconut soup was salty, just as the yellow curry. I ordered it with vegetables, and the small bowl had two big pieces of onion, and very little vegetables.
Delicious. Had Pad Thai lunch special that came with soup and salad.
Service was ok. Tom kha was disappointing...not much lemongrass flavor & hardly any veggies. Portions are small, but the prices are reasonable.
Super yummy!
Spring rolls
We stopped in for an early dinner. It's a small restaurant with limited seating. Many people do takeout instead.

I’ve only ever ordered to go, but this place is the bomb. Food is so good! Only complaint is more lettuce for the lettuce wraps. Everything I’ve had is amazing. Hopefully I’ll be able to actually go in and eat there at some point.
Nice small modern setting with outside seating. Friendly staff. Pad See Ew was delicious as was the Massaman Curry. Very enjoyable and great flavor. Pad See Ew's noodles were done perfectly, not destroyed and the flavor was perfect. Slightly different ingredients in the Massaman than what we know from the east coast, but great flavor. Looking forward to trying more here.
Service was good. Food was okay.
Some of the best fresh spring rolls I have had! Cute little place with great staff and nice seating outside
I know my Thai food, spent time in Thailand: Thai society is easily in my top 3 (maybe even number 1) as far as Thai restaurants State side is concerned. It's as close to authentic as you can get
Taste was good. Kind staffs and easy parking. Seasoning was not too strong for Phad Thai, so it was good for me:)
Authentic Thai food locally owned and operated. They have my favorite go to dishes but also monthly specials which is always great to try! Don’t forget their yummy desserts and delish drinks too!! I would recommend the basil stir fry with a fried egg or green curry! Friendly staff and a fun atmosphere!!! Favorite Thai spot in San Diego!
Great little place for Thai and Asian food. All the food we ordered taste amazing and they do not use MSG like other place!! We like Padthai and Duck curry. Also great atmosphere for dine in even though the space is limited. We may call for reservation next time. Service is exceptional. Staff are friendly and helpful. We will definitely come back.
Delish food and great service. We love the green curry and drunken noodles!
Yum
Its a good place to eat.
一般 很普通的一家店。口味一般 不太正宗
Pad Thai tasted fine but the noodles were rubbery. I mean I couldn't actually chew them, my teeth just rebounded. Probably won't revisit.
First... Food is bland and very hit or miss. This review is sparked because today was the third time I asked for a dish with no egg. We have a family member who is very allergic to albumin and the rest of the family is vegan. Food was ordered to go and upon opening found egg scattered throughout the dish. They were non-apologetic to the situation and were very hesitant to refund the order. I would not trust the sanitation of their kitchen and will not be returning.
Love this place sis took me here the kids love the food. Great friendly people.. will definitely come back...if you get picky eater to eat and fight for more than you got my vote
Basil!
This is our favorite restaurant in Encinitas. My family loves the tasty food and friendly staff! We really enjoy the Curry Noodles, Eggplant Wok, and Three Flavor Fish! You really can't go wrong. It is Thai food so some dishes are spicier than others, but the staff can help you pick milder dishes if spice is an issue for you. There are lots of vegetarian, vegan, and glutten free options to choose from as well.
Fresh, clean ingredients and a warm staff. I eat there once or twice a week and is always predictably deliciously. Definitely try the specials... tonight's pineapple curry was phenomenal.
Had an amazing business lunch today. We sat outside in the front patio and enjoyed a Thai Salad and two orders of Chicken fried rice. The food & service was amazing!!! However, please invest in a new had dryer for the ladies bathroom, as it is quite terrible. Thanks! We will be back soon. ❤️
Great food!
Service was ok, but food is to salty.
We're vegetarian and they are one of few Thai places that don't put fish oil or shrimp paste in the Curry and many other dishes and the food is delicious!
Hands down best spot in North County, if not all of San Diego. I'm have loved everything I have ordered, but especially recommend the curries and wok dishes. This spot has a unique flavor that sets them apart from other establishments.
The food is pretty good, but nothing fantastic.
Homey authentic Thai atmosphere and my favorite curry in Southern California. If you like curry and you haven't been here before- you're bonkers and you need to come in to try everything!!! You might be enjoying a sunny Encinitas day at Thai Society, but I guarantee that your tastebuds will be across the pacific in Bangkok ☺️👌✨
One of my favorite thai places in north county
Good food, attentive waitstaff. Tom la was delicious!
Too expensive for basic meal
First time, good food, I'll be back
My wife and I ate here the other night, and it was OK, overall. Wish the sauces had more "oomph," as they were a bit bland compared to some of the great local Thai places we've tried (missing something I can't quite put a finger on).
We had the Drunken Noodles and the Pad Thai, and both were a bit disappointing. In both dishes, the cook didn't even bother to separate the noodles -- The were stuck together in a clump that looked like it went straight from the package, to the water, to the plate, without even being stirred.
Spiciness was right-on, though. Thai places usually ask how hot you want it on a scale of 1-to-10, and every cook seems to interpret that differently. We asked for five, and got the level of heat we were expecting.
On the appetizer front, we went with the Fresh Spring Roll, which was really good, and came with a nice sampling of three delicious sauces. Also got the grilled mushroom, and that was a huge let-down. It was so tough & rubbery, it was nearly impossible to eat off the skewer.
Next time, I think we'll spend another ten minutes, and head-down to Solana Beach, where roughly the same money will get you a much better Thai meal.
The Thai food is very good for this side of town. They deliver after 5!
No complaints. Service, flavors, and atmosphere were 5 stars. 4 stars for portion sizes. Two orders of dinner items was enough food for two, but barely.
Fast and friendly service. Good variety on the menu. Had Papaya salad. It was tasty and refreshing. Only downside is that I would have liked to have seen a slightly larger portion for the price. Other than that, it was a good experience.
Great service and food. I eat here twice a week
I've visited three times now and each experience was a 5-star experience. Their prices are in line with other local spots.
Drunken noodle is excellent and the Thai Fried Egg is a great light appetizer
I think this restaurant is a hidden gem. I went to this place a few times already, and I just love the curry dishes so much. Don't just order Pad Thai, try their curry! The normal curry like green curry and red curry are good, but the special curry such as duck curry and pumpkin curry are great!
Decent Thai food with some unique dishes. I like the grilled mushrooms. Several times I've thought that the curry dishes I ordered were extremely salty. Unlike most other Thai restaurants, the vegetarian/vegan protein option is limited to tofu. The acoustics of the place make the conversations at some tables very loud.
The Duck Curry and the Roast Duck are awesome!
I love the high quality of ingredients. Rich flavors & good texture. Their hot ginger tea is yummy too! ;)
Underwhelming. Duck curry was over salted with small number of fattyduck fragments. Shrimp pad thai a disappointment. Noodles were stuck together. Shrimp were cooked well. Service was
detached. The coconut crusted tofu was delicious - like we remembered. Maybe at the end of a long weekend, everyone was tired. This is one of our favorite places when we're in town, sorry to write a
1-star rating tonight,
