Their "Spicy Papaya Lao Style" is at the right spice level because we always order very spicy and this is the only place that give the right spice! Love their dessert, "Mango with Sweet Sticky Rice" and the "Curry Salmon Soup" too! Can't wait to return to try more dishes and have more of the Pad Thai Noodles!!

I've driven by this place a few times on my way to jobs. The name always intrigued me and we finally had an opportunity to try it out! There is plenty of parking behind the restaurant, so you shouldn't have to worry about having a walk to get there. When we walked in, we were immediately entranced by the cozy feel and ambiance that awaited us. There is not a whole lot of seating available, but it is a small area and they have done the best they can with the space they have. No complaints from us! The owners are a husband and wife and they were both extremely friendly and welcoming. When we looked at the menu, I was very surprised to see how many vegetarian and vegan options they have, so if that is something you are being conscious of, this is a great place for you to check out! I got the drunken noodles and my boyfriend got the Tom Kha in a pot. Getting the soup in the pot was amazing as he was really able to enjoy the soup without rushing so it wouldn't get cold. It's been a constant gripe for him at other places. Both dishes were absolutely delicious and surprisingly light on the stomach, compared to other Thai places we have been before. I ate my entire plate of drunken noodles, and I am notorious for taking half of my plates home with me everywhere we eat, so that gives you an idea of how delicious and light it was. This is very much food that you would expect if someone cooked for you at their home. It's also a very nice touch that they bring out a carafe of water so you don't have to get a refill every few minutes. The only gripe is that they only have soda cans, but that's something that my boyfriend alone is picky about in our circle, but be prepared in case you are expecting to get a soda while you are there. I am very glad that we decided to try it out and this will definitely be a lovely spot that we will be visiting frequently! The food was great, the service was awesome and very friendly, and it was all at a very very reasonable price! We will definitely be back soon!

This place is awful. The server looked annoyed to have us there and with the worst attitude said, “order now so you can eat.” Then said that the cook left. Why is it open if they don’t even have a cook? We just left and the server still tried to act like we had inconvenienced him.

It's a cute little place. Friendly enough service (takeout). I had the veggi egg roles and chicken pad Thai. Rolls were very good. The pad Thai had a different flavor.....which I couldn't place. Not a fan. Kinda had almost a fish like odor.

After taking a bite of just the chicken...I found the off flavor. Not sure if it was the chicken meat, or it soaked up the seasonings......I'll assume it was the seasoning, given all the positive reviews.....maybe the chicken was near the fish or......

Had the BBQ Thai Chicken with Thai Iced Tea, excellent, best thing I've eaten all week. I will for sure come back and try more things on the menu. Only thing not to my liking was an optional chilli sauce in a small jar, but I was expecting more of a sweeter sauce, which the dish did come with.

I have been eating here for years. I even buy lunch here for my office frequently. Troy, the owner is always there with a smile and truly takes pride in his restaurant and the food he serves. It's a tiny place that he makes very welcoming. The food is authentic and fresh always. I am vegan with a peanut allergy which Troy never forgets. This is one of my favorite go to restaurants.

Delicious food, I tried Mango Chicken Curry (Red curry simmered in coconut milk with chicken, green beans, bell pepper, chili, basil leaves and mango) and sticky rice with mango for dessert. Good prices, excelent service. The place is small and its feel and look is cozy and unique.

This place was my favorite Thai place I've ever been. If I lived here, I would go here every single day. Service was amazing and quick, and they were so nice there. You could just have a conversation and really have fun with the server. The place is also in a great location, and the restaurant is really cool inside. If you like Thai AT ALL, then head over to Busy B Thai Cafe and you will be hooked.

I’ve been ordering here since 2016. I’m so happy it continues to exist. It’s a small little restaurant but the taste is exquisite. The prices have gone up a bit but I have allowed myself to justify it for now because of how delicious it is. They have a nice selection of vegan options and they are soooo good! I definitely recommend this place to all.

We loved loved this place. Very delicious food and traditional Thai and amazing curry. The host was so wonderful to speak to and so very gracious. If in the area you must stop and eat here. By far the best Thai food in town. Next time in the area will definitely visit again.

Spicy Mango Chicken Curry was delicious

During the summer months after the concerts on Friday evening in the park on our way home we see this Thai restaurant. Well we finally made the time to check this place out and glad we did cause we really enjoyed our meals.

Just went there today and it was sooooo good . portions a little small for the price but it’s very yummy. I had yellow chicken curry it was slightly spicy and the vegetables were cooked well and it had lots of meat. and the Berry basil lemonade was so sweet and refreshing . definitely coming back 👍🏻 many options on the menu to try!

Delicious food!!

Had to go back and share a review because this place was 🔥🔥🔥! The workers were incredibly kind and quick to take our order and bring some authentic food. The chef really knows his stuff we had a walnut shrimp kind of dish and some appetizers. It was fantastic and I'll definitely be coming back to sit on their small patio out front.

The owner here is super rude and entitled ! Walked in to grab an order and when you walk In the door he takes forever to come to the front so I sat In a chair to wait when he comes up I get up and push in my chair and because it wasn’t perfect aligned how he had it he told me to push it more he doesn’t like them moved. So with my foot I aligned it to how he had and and then he told me I’m kicking his stuff like if I’m a child. I didn’t even grab the order I was so annoyed. If you have a ocd problem and terrible customer service you should hire someone to work the front. I literally live around the corner and my husband and I have supported this business for more than a year now and he has always had terrible customer service. But he’s older so I’ve always let it go but I will never support his business again.

Portion sizes suck For the price two scoops of rice(which is 10cent) and less than 6oz of chicken shouldn’t equate to $14.95. The food is mediocre honestly but it was my first time there and i only ordered one thing but i will never go back.

Wanted to try something different. So he surprised me when he said we'll try some Thai food delivery. According to a friend's recommendation and the "Five Star Reviews". Boy....I tell ya, but I guess we were the 10%, that disagreed. Spicey chicken wings were hella small and Chilly sauce was chilly water. Not spicey at all. Disappointed that he ended up ordering Rally's. Never again.

I have come here twice and both of my curries have been excellent! Today I tried the green with tofu and it was delicious. It's spicy but not nuclear which is good for me, and the texture and blend with the coconut milk is superb. Spring rolls with ginger sauce are bomb too. Great atmosphere, service, and cute little spot; I will be coming back here often.

I have been looking for a good Thai restaurant. This place just hit the spot. Its definitely delicious. I had the shrimp pad Thai. It wasn't dry and was full of flavor. I also ordered the panang but have yet to try it I'm sure it's amazing.

This is a wonderful family-owned shop with amazing food make sure you stop by when you're in this part of town! Five stars all the way!

Really yummy pad thai. I ordered through Postmates for pickup, so I couldn't specify the heat level. Next time I'll make it a little hotter. Picture is after I had been eating it for a bit. I would like more shrimp, but I don't think you can ever have too much shrimp. One good thing is that they don't leave the tails on.

I’ve been coming here for years and have never been disappointed. They have a delicious dedicated vegan menu and they can make almost anything else vegan if requested. Really nice little place and great service! The best Thai food I’ve had! Would recommend the yellow curry, veggie fried rice, eggplant, and pad see ew although everything is good here. Adding fried tofu takes it further to another level! I see they even added mock meats a while back but I haven tried those yet since I’m hooked on the fried tofu.

Used to eat here semi often about a year ago. Always ordered the same thing, vegan fried pineapple rice and vegan rolls. Ordered for the first time in almost a year tonight, same order. I get home and realized it’s a lot of lettuce that I don’t remember being in there before. Menu doesn’t say lettuce included but definitely couldn’t notice any curry sauce on my dish. Called and informed him I have a bunch of lettuce and no curry in my dish. He states he opened my plate before giving it to me and saw the curry but clearly that’s not true as that’s the 2nd main reason I wanted this dish, 1st is cuz of the pineapple which was hardly any. The man states the cook can sometimes be heavy handed or light handed, I can drive back and grab some curry to add to my meal and never mentioned anything about the lettuce. I just said have a good night sir. Food definitely tasted way different than I was expecting. Never returning again. Tired of giving my money to places who think they can do whatever.

Really just an outstanding Thai joint all around. Currys are fantastic, vegan dishes are very tasty and always prepared with accuracy and attention to detail. Friendly service, fair portions, quick timing make this place a regular in the eating out line up. If you haven’t visited you must do so. Yellow curry is 👍👍.

My first time eating from here. Ordered on the phone and picked it up. Good thing I live around the corner. It was really good. I can now say its my new favorite spot and also my wife's favorite spot. Food is good and not greasy. One of the best places in El Cajon to get good food ill definitely be back.

Good things come in small spaces! I used to love dining in here, but you can still take home the deliciousness while social distancing is in effect. The menu has been recently updated, and my new favorite is the green curry!! Perfectly balanced heat and flavor. My other go to items are any of the rolls/wraps or the tom kha soup... so good on a rainy winter day. Bring your vegan, veggie, or meat eating friends, there's something for every palette!

I'm not sure if they were just having a bad day or what. It was on Friday the 7th. Yes it is very small, but we sat at a table and there was only one other person there sitting at the counter. The woman gave us the menus and it was the last time she spoke to us. She was dashing between the kitchen and the register cashing the to-go orders out. She brought the order for the other customer, and when he had 2 others join him they had their drinks ordered and brought to them. We waited an additional 15 minutes after that before I told my husband this was nuts and we left. 20 minutes wasted and they will never see us again. We ended up going up the road to Thai Time. Now that place rocked!!!

AMAZING flavors and consistencies. Honestly, the best Thai food we have discovered since our move to San Diego from Colorado. We have tried many other Thai food competitors but none are anywhere close to the same authenticity or quality. All food from Busy B Thai is consistent, fresh, and to reiterate, AMAZING. If your unsure of what to order you will be satisfied with any item on the menu. Our favorites so far have been anything containing red curry, panang curry, as well as the tender BBQ chicken.

Water is tap water if that's your thing. I prefer my water filtered. Tap water is probably used with the food as well (probably). Service is fast.

Great lunch spot for jury duty service (or anytime, but it's walking distance to the courthouse so that's an added bonus). I had the yellow curry with tofu and it was delicious. Just the right amount of spiciness. Thai iced tea refreshing and tasty. Looking forward to trying the vegetarian Tom Kha soup next time. the place is small with few tables, I appreciate that the layout is thoughtful and not over-packed. Large window provides lots of natural light and there's a pleasant cross-breeze from front-to-back. Comfortable dining with friendly staff.

Charge a lot for a small plate. There are thai places better than this.

Good Thai restaurant, except the portions were a little on the light side.

The food was good. The restaurant was too quiet. No background music at all. Staff was a little off putting but did a really good job. He waited until we put our menus down which is something I really appreciate these days. You should definitely try the Berry basil lemonade it was delicious. Definitely going back, hopefully it will be a little busier.

The Yellow Curry was fantastic!

Food and service were outstanding. The portions are plentiful and food is tasty, fresh and aesthetically well prepared. It is a small venue, but spacious and clean inside. Easy access from the street, parking is limited. Will definitely be returning for tasty lunch or dinner. Hopefully hand made ice cream will be available next time. The sticky rice and mango was an excellent dessert compliment to the meal.

Long wait times

Good service and prices but the boba was mushy, the noodles were a bit over cooked, the sticky rice was dry and the mango was brown. I probably won't return.

Love Thai food.read all the good reviews for this place & excited to try it. If I could I would give 0 stars. The lady there was very rude and acted like we weren’t there when we first walked in. She looked at us very mad and annoyed that we walked in. She made us very uncomfortable we just had to get up and leave after not even 5 minutes of walking in. Shaking my head

The Thai basil rice was awesome, I loved the vegetable spring rolls and the thai tea with boba.

Many words to describe this place!! Delicious, clean, efficient, kind, cozy! The tea is super good and all the vegan options are tasty. Good for vegans!!

The Absolute best Thai food in East County (San Diego) we've ever had, and we have tried dozens. The owner's had restaurants in La Jolla and Vegas (I believe). Very kind and friendly! Clean and nicely decorated. Try it!
