Casual bar/eatery operating since 1999 with old-world flair & classic Thai & Peruvian dishes.
Okay - I can understand why this is a 4 star restaurant, the FOOD is a FIVE but the restaurant is a bit overpriced. Don't get me wrong, I would still go back and eat again, but I would only do it for a special occasion. Also, we only tried their Peruvian dishes - everything was super well seasoned, and would consider this a solid Peruvian spot. I wanted to go back and try their Thai stuff, but then I saw the price and decided I could live without it.
Don’t judge a book by its over. Once you walk through the doors you are transported to another place. This restaurant is beautiful and a peaceful place to enjoy a tasty meal. The menu features both Thai and Peruvian food. We ordered Peruvian dishes that were incredible. The meat was very tenderized and flavored in a way that will having you craving it for days after your visit! Amazing service and a must try if you’re in the area looking for something new.
Thai Peru always has great service! Our favorite dishes are Pad See Ew and Pad Thai with any of their protein options! They have a wide array of options to choose from for everyone! We haven’t sat down inside in awhile, but their food to go is just as good as when you dine in! Always piping hot and delicious! I’ve never had a dish I didn’t like. Everything is so flavorful!
We just moved to Camarillo a few weeks ago. We've been here 3 times!!! The food has been consistently good in both Thai and Peruvian food. We love this option of difference cuisines, both we really enjoy! What we ordered a few times and really liked is the Tom Kha soup, pineapple fried rice, and yellow curry. Today we tried the lomo saltado, arroz chaufa, aji de galena. We are now definitely loyal customers!
The plate I ordered this time is called: lomo saltado it was delicious!!! I recommend it, is my favorite.
The service was fast and friendly. We really enjoyed our visit thank you very much!
We are so happy your restaurant has outside sitting to enjoy the food. Definitely a plus!
Dont go here if you want authentic Peruvian food. Otherwise they have good food. The service was really nice. Thank you!
LOVE this place, if you are ever in the area do yourself a favor and stop by
Everything was awesome until a cockroach walked across my plate while I was eating ... OMG waitress pretty much blew it off and are doing nothing about a remedy. Guess I need to call the Health department.9/18/2024
We usually get the take out...pretty good food bit sometimes it takes a bit.
Got takeout the other evening. Food was decent, and around 40 for two entrees.
My family and I just ate here today. We don’t live in the area and were looking for a place to eat for dinner. The food was excellent, service was perfect, and fast. Would absolutely return again. Thank you! (The pineapple curry was amazing!)
I'm from Peru. One time, my husband tried to surprise me for my birthday, and knowing how much I miss my delicious Peruvian food, he took me to this Thai "Peru" restaurant. As an American, he had never had the opportunity to try it before we met. Now he just loves it and has his favorite Peruvian dishes that he really enjoys to the full every time we go to Peru. So, that night, we ordered one of our favorites, "Lomo Saltado", which is a typical Peruvian dish, and we both were totally disappointed. The food they serve in this restaurant is nothing even close to an authentic Peruvian food!!
The food was disappointing. I would not go back. We got chicken larb salad, tofu pad see ew, and the sea food tom yum. First time I’ve ever had sweet tom yum. The larb salad was salty and the pad see ew was a little sweet.

Combo fried rice and empanadas. Pretty tasty.
Mediocre ,Tom yum soup tasted like tomato paste and the shrimp was tough and chewy .
This restaurant surprised me charge for a cup of water where as others soda was super expensive. There are many restaurants out there better than them but not too pricey.
Came in Saturday night and waited 10 minutes for someone to come sit us at a table but no one was very came to the front of the store. Terrible service
Very tasty mango shrimp curry, avocado green curry, and gyoza. Will be back!
We went on a Sunday evening with friends. The decorations are beautiful and the food was SOOO delicious as always! But for some reason they did not want to give us ice water? It took almost about a half hour to even take our order, and at least another 30-40 minutes to receive our food. Hardly any other customers in the restaurant either. But food was very delicious. This is still our FAVORITE Thai restaurant!!

Excellent pineapple fried rice with tofu!
Me and my husband have been eaten there once. The curries were not tested as curries at all. The curries were so sweet. They charged us $54 for 2 green curries. We will never go to there again.
We've enjoyed several dishes on numerous occasions, but the green curry is my favorite 😍
I had the spicy eggplant and it was so delicious, just as all the food at Thai-Peru is!! Also had, salmon sushi ala carte, which too, was stellar!! And the staff and chefs are wonderful!! Favorite place in Camarillo to eat.
Great place! Good service and food very good. Prefer the lunch menu, and great wine selection .
Local's sedate spot with friendly, low-key waitstaff serving Thai & South American standard dishes from exhaustive menu. Good value.
Food was good, service was great, the atmosphere needs some attention.
The table cloth at our table had burn holes in it and they use the men's room for storage.
Food is always amazing!
Good food
Check your bill. They made roo many mistakes and they are adding 20% tip on the bill after service and tax, which actually 40%. Not cool!!! Good place, but this is 2nd time happening. Not going there again...too bad...
타이식당에선 최고에 분위기.
Awful customer service and don’t waste your time here. Over priced and just unpleasant employees
The food here was amazing! So many items to chose from, the owner is very experienced with making all different kinds of food! The servers are also really nice. We got our food really fast as well. I will be coming here more often to try everything on the menu! Not also to mention it’s really beautiful inside.
Always solid.
Best Thai food ever with amazing service!! Been coming here for more than 10 years with my parents and family. Please support these folks. They deserve it. Very accommodating staff and delicious fresh food always. Try the Tom kha soup with shrimp, panang with shrimp, drunken noodles with tofu and basil fried rice with fish, and sticky rice with 🥭 mango. You will not be disappointed 😀
Had a delicious lunch of Lomo Soltado!
Everything was excellent. My wife and I loved the Pho Tak soup. My kids weren't too fond of it but most kids don't really care for soup anyways. It was very good. Entrees we had Shrimp Pad See Yew, Shrimp Pineapple Fried Rice, and chicken Pad Kee Mao.
All of it was so good! So delicious. It was a great experience, with great food and great people. This place is definitely special. I love the servers personality and hospitality.
I recommend this restaurant to anyone interested in a great dining experience with amazing food and a huge wine selection. We'll have to come back and try the Peruvian menu next time. Saw a chocolate cake on the menu that looked rich and so delicious but we ate so much that there was literally no room for dessert. Next time.
Thanks again.
Absolutely vile. I've tried to like it. We've ordered a half dozen times.... Without fail they screw up at least one part of the order... Or the errant piece of chicken in a vegan dish.... And it's way too expensive. The menu alone should tell you to run from this place
holy christ the pad thai was filling
The food and service was OK to say the most I've had better and I've had worse
Lomo saltado was delicious !!!!
The reason I give them 4 stars is because this place is not Peruvian 100 percent and prices for Thai food 90 percent of it is expensive
Very good food and service . Also , nice atmosphere inside $ nice outside seating .
Chicken was rubbery... food lacked flavor
We frequently eat here whenever we are in the area. We love Thai food and Peruvian food. This is the only place we have ever seen that not only offers both cuisines but serves absolutely fantastic and delicious food at great prices.
Excellent food. The chef is a pro. Great service. Reasonable pricing. Solid Thai food. Best in Camarillo.
Great atmosphere, delicious yellow curry.
Had dinner with a friend Thursday night - not busy at all; a few tables and Togo orders going in and out. We were seated quickly and got our orders taken from the waitresses who were very nice. Looking at the menu we were a little confused with some of the items, like Tom Kha Ramen which I eventually decided on: my friend had the Tom Yum Ramen w/ seafood. We also ordered a calamari appetizer. All three dishes did take a while to come out, but the wait was worth it. We were super surprised by how everything tasted. The seafood option came with fish, shrimp, scallop, and squid(not sure). Although the ramen portion could have been a little more, we were still satisfied with the dish as a whole We agreed that the soups were the best part, flavorful and delicious.
Other mentions - decor was pretty cool! A bit on the pricey side :/
The food was good and the atmosphere was really nice. We had the larb salad, pad see yew with chicken, and the spicy eggplant with shrimp. The larb was absolutely fantastic, some of the best I've had. The eggplant was really good, definitely worth ordering. The pad see yew was good but not as flavorful as the other dishes but it's a milder dish. Everything was cooked and seasoned very well. Definitely worth trying if you haven't been there. We'll be going back!
Jazlynn was our waitress and she was AMAZING! Food was great and was brought out fast.
Beautiful atmosphere and even better food
Thanks Thai Peru! It wasn’t the best Thai food I ever had, but it did the job.
I ordered take out off the menu here on Google. I ordered the combination fried rice that clearly says included 4 shrimp. Only had 2. It was ok fried rice. Nothing to write home about. I also ordered sweet n sour chicken. Remember the where's the beef lady from TV adds. Well there was chicken. Or chicken Jerky Small hard overcooked. I called about the shrimp. They said Typo mistake, but would give extra next time. Nothing to make me want to go back. 41 dollars for food that was so disappointing. Sorry Thai Peru Restaurant I will not be ordering food from there again.
Foods good, nice decor but Asian management is rude! Despite she knows been coming here for 7 years. Word of advice be nice and courteous to your customers because without them you will go out of business just like your location in ventura!!
Asked the server if food of my choice contains peanuts, she said no. I am allergic to peanuts. So can you imagine how “surprised” i was when i noticed a taste of peanut butter while chewing salad?! So, i hope i wont die tonight
We have been ordering food from Thai Peru restaurant in Camarillo for 3-4 months. Food is super good and the staff is helpful.
Amazing food, huge selection. A lot of wine options too
Ordered through doordash and specifically asked for no onion. Ended up with half an onion in the dish. The restaurant doesn't pay attention to what people are ordering. Why have the special requests option on the meals available if the restaurant isn't even going to uphold option.
I recommend for take out.
Best chicken, soup, rice, warmth and family cooked meal we have had in a long time!! The water is delicious too... think it's alkaline. Waitresses were great. Food is great. Atmosphere is great.
Delicious, fast service, friendly staff. They use kangen water and have a delicious cosmo. The rotti is a must-have appetizer!!
They have a help wanted sign in the window. They need help desperately. Food tasted good, though "medium spicy" was rather bland and required the spice rack. But the big problem was service. No water refills, had to go get the spice rack we asked for when last plate of food was delivered after waiting 5+ minutes, no one checked on us, considered leaving to get a bill delivered that we had already asked for. And it didnt seem that busy, but it was a Sat night...
Food is alway great. Must try Thai food
Mango Curry was the best! Well worth the wait!
I love this restaurant. I have not had any of the Peruvian food, but the Thai food is great and the portions are very generous. I highly recommend.
Over priced insanity.
The food here is so good! We came with our kids and sat outside. Our waiter went above and beyond. Kids obsessed over the udon noodle soup. We also had the satay with peanut sauce, pad thai, thai tea... everything was incredible
En lo personal A mí me gusto lo recomiendo
Place is clean, got right in. Got drinks and ordered in a good timely manner and that was it! Got ignored for the next 45 minutes. Realized the resteraunt was placing mire importance on take out orders than us. Had to flag down somebody just to get our food to go to make our movie...got the food home and it had zero seasoning to it!!! Wont be going there again! Very disappointed.
I give this restaurant 5 stars alone on Thai food. But I take away 1.5 stars for the way they mislead the customer on their pricing. They don't tell you that it's extra for protein. This is odd bc most Thai dishes have protein- it's rare they have only vegetable. So for my pad prik king- which is just green beans and (usually served with) pork- it is priced on the menu for like $12.99 but then you get an added charge of $2 for the pork. This was like this for the pad Thai as well. I understand charging maybe a dollar more for pricier proteins like shrimp but to not already have basic proteins like chicken beef and pork already included in the price is absurd. Im never going to order pad prik king without protein bc then it would just be green beans. Who orders that with just the beans?
Also another half star off for their lack of servers. It seems like there is just one lady who takes your order etc so it took forever to get our order in and also get the check. I really did enjoy the food here. Probably one of the better and authentic Thai restaurants in Ventura county but the way they charge for their dishes leaves a bad taste in my mouth. We might be back one day.
Delicious food, polite staff, and gorgeous atmosphere. 10/10 would and will come again.
Good curry.
A bad experience and mistreatment from the owner of the restaurant, who according to him has been with the restaurant for 20 years. He told me to leave his restaurant and he told me to go to my country and that I was stupid.
Why so much abuse? because I told him that I was Peruvian and that his ceviche was not well done, and he told me to fill out a job application if he wanted to cook in his restaurant. I told him that the corn (corn) was not Peruvian, and that he was accompanied with sweet potato and not potato, and he told me corn is corn! in no way did he want to accept my opinion as a customer and he was very, very rude.
I disrespect myself shouting to leave his restaurant, he is a very rude person, I do not recommend Peruvian food? for nothing, and less for the respect he shows his clients.
Best Pad Thai ever! Wonton soup heals you!
Lomo saltado was excellent! Dominick, the manager, convinced me that his was much better than the ones in Peru as he uses tender filet mignonstrips...a good benchmark to compare with when I do eat this dish in the Peruvian Amazon.
Thai pad was lukewarm and the noodle dont separate
A great place to dine. Nice ambience and very good serving sizes and quality.
Pad see
Great customer service, terrible pa-nang curry! It was thick and sweet and needed coconut milk & acid...or something. I love thai food and i honestly could even eat it.
First time going to this restaurant and I definitely would go again.
Service was great, waitresses very attentive and ready to help, and food was amazing.
If you are looking for a peaceful atmosphere with great food. This is the place.
Great Thai food & customer service. Our go-to restaurant before we catch a movie at the Roxy Stadium 11. They have lots of interesting dishes on their menu too.
I ordered take out at the restaurant, service was very fast and very nice staff. Amazing tiramisu and Thai food was great. I'm strict with giving out 5 stars, but definitely had a 4.5 star experience!
Absolutely Fantastic!!
Thai food good, peruvian food not the greatest :/
I just ordered here for the first time from uber eats. The price was super expensive for the quality of the food which I understand is mainly because I ordered from Uber eats.
The sweet and sour chicken was so dry at first I thought they only gave me the crispy batter flakes they fry the chicken in and the Calamari tasted super fishy. The thai ice tea was the only good thing I ordered.
AMAZING! Vegan & Vegetarian options. I got the Pineapple Fried Rice & Delicious. Also the Tiramisu. #RMP
Really good curry, especially when they are open late
I used to go here all the time to pick up Peruvian food for over 7 years but the last two years they changed the recipe and now even the Peruvian food tastes like Thai food. It is sad because there’s no Peruvian food in Camarillo at all.
Very good and prices are not bad for a Thai place like this. I will definitely come back. Its not the best Thai food you will ever have but its definitely not sub par or below what you would expect from a typical Thai place in Ventura County. If you do have a problem with your order, just make sure to keep in mind how much you paid for it. Also, portions are pretty darn good. No complaints.
Loved this place. As soon as I walked in I loved it, very clean, host was super friendly, and most importantly, the food was delicious. Portions are very generous.
5 star to the food and service. We ordered panang curry with chicken and pad Thai with shrimp. Both were excellent.
4 star to prices. It is on higher side compared to other Thai restaurants.
This Thai Peru restaurant is some of the best Thai food I have ever had. I am so grateful that this is part of my pandemic comfort food. My favorite dishes are beef panang, tom kai gai (large --you will want more if you get small), cashew chicken, and beef pad se ew. They used to have many restaurants throughout ventura county, but now just Camarillo. Please support this local business and you will be in for a real treat. I travel from SF and will always get this food on my stops in VC.
The thai fried rice lacked flavor and the pineapple fried rice was awful! It tasted like mush. The one star is for the quality of food they give you and the fact that it was served at a good temperature. But if it doesn't tate good, quantity really doesn't matter, does it?
Beautiful restaurant, quality food and big portions
Love the food they'd get 5 stars for that. Hate the service. The last few times ordered pickup, and waited most of an hour past the time we were told it would be ready. At least one of these times was on a week day.
Didn't like it, not a real peruvian food
The plate I ordered this time is called: lomo saltado it was delicious!!! I recommend it, is my favorite.
The service was fast and friendly. We really enjoyed our visit thank you very much!
We are so happy your restaurant has outside sitting to enjoy the food. Definitely a plus!
Poor quality Peruvian food
La comida peruana no es ni parecido el sabor 😫
A little bit pricey but the amount of food makes it worth it really two meals in one
The pineapple fried rice was delicious.
Ordered the combo fried rice and the combo noodles. Both plates had only two shrimps which were on top of the food. The rice was very greasy and it taste plane like cafeteria food and the rice they used was very cheap. It was a small portion of the combo noodles , even thou noodles are cheap and easy to make. This is not authentic peruvian food. I would not want to recommend this place to my family or friends. Would never go back again, very disappointed with the food it taste bad.
Delicious!!
It has a very nice interior and the food is great
Thai Peru is one of those spots that you find inspiration from Seinfeld, the episode where there's Mexican, Italian and Chinese food all in one store. In this case you find the exotic tastes of Thai land and southern American dishes of Peru.
I went here for Thai food during the quarantine and they hit the spot for my Thai food craving. It was a solid meal of yellow curry and rice.
Try it out and someone please tell me about the Peruvian food.
Delicious food all hand prepared, big portions, and a ton on the menu. Really good sushi too! It's a family operation and the owners are very kind. I call in deliveries to my shop and they have been very clean and came in gloves, face mask, and even a face shield. Almost A hazmat suit lol
call them directly for deliveries! Much better for the restaurant and cleaner than grubhub or postmates etc
Definately my favorite thai spot in camarillo
Friendly, quick for pickup and great food. It’s not cheap food but it is good food. My kids loved the pad thai and I am sure we will be ordering again.
Dine in last week it was horrible and when I complained to the owner. He started arguing with me.
Never done in again to this restaurant.
This place was great. From the authentic restaurant look to how they dresser, truly awesome. Plus they had vegan options, so tasty.
A nice place a little tight on the setup but the food quality makes up for it, limited on the drinks selection but great sake options.
The spicy chicken fried rice was delicious but the ceviche was TERRIBLE!
The price indicator on this site showed $ when I think it should be $$. The costs seemed too high for a $ rating. Service was ok. Salmon dish was a disappointment. In the menu it appeared to be caramelized, but it wasn’t. Finally there was a noisy fan that would drown out the music it was so loud. Unfortunately we won’t return.
I love the pad thai noodles.
Bomb food.... like really BOMB
Fantastic service. Wonderful thai food. Tri the Tom Ka Gai (coconut milk soup with chicken) and the Pad Prik King (green beans and chicken in red curry sauce). Delicious!
Perfect Panang Chicken!! It just doesn't get better than this!! ❤️❤️❤️
DELICIOUS Thai food! Both the yellow and red curry were yummy! Lovely ambience! Service was great too!!!
Red curry with duck and a side of fried rice. So tasty!👍😁
It's food, you can eat it. My wife likes it. I'm always disappointed at the lack of strong flavor. This place is good if you want basic flavor, not spicy. Sometimes they do not bother to refill water either, tonight they did. Decor is unique. I think the price is way too high, if the prices were half as much would be good.
Delicious ramen!
Lunch menu is very reasonable
Interesting and delicious. Great Peruvian dishes. From the Thai menu, while perhaps not the most traditional implementation I've tasted, the Panang is very, very good.
Long wait times for waitress over an hour waiting for food. Waitress never checked with us. Had to find her to get drunk refills. Food is mediocre-at-best. Poor ambience and tables we're dirty. I don't recommend at all. Oh yeah in the phone rang all the time and they never answered it the whole time we were there!
The food is so delicious and is so fresh 😋
Great lunch specials !!!
Not authentic and not good. Save yourself!
