Bright Thai find with pillow-strewn seating, turning out noodles, stir-fry & creative sushi.
I started with the lychee martini (sweet but very good), then on to the gyoza (just alright). I also had the she's from Miami roll (they put something very spicy on the tuna that was not listed on the menu, would've been good otherwise), and the baked crab hand roll (delicious! but had avocado in it, which was also not mentioned on the menu). The staff were very nice and there was a nice ambiance.
"Happy Hour Lemon Drop" yummy in tummy. Pad Thai shrimp is so much better when you ask for side of peanut sauce. Salmon Red Curry and Miso Glaze Sea bass were enjoyable when I wasn't fighting flies. The manager was very pleasant and I really enjoyed some of the employees energy.
Amazing place! The atmosphere here is very cozy, they play good music, lots of light i door and have a cozy outdoor patio.
The food is just beyond perfect. I highly recommend to try their soups and rice dishes. They also offer the impossible meat with any meal you order and it’s honestly perfect. Usually, vegetarian meats have some odd smell and texture but their impossible meat is pretty damn close with flavor and texture.
Everything is very flavorful, very well cooked and served.
Customer service here is excellent! All the staff members are friendly and feel their customers very well! Great attitude and also very professional.
I definitely recommend this place and hope they continue to gain more new customers.
Thank you for making our experience so special.
The place was really cute! Didn't thing that there'd be such a cute dinner spot out of nowhere in Burbank. It was a bit weird to see so many different things on the menu, but we stuck with the thai food. Had the hibiscus gin drink from their happy hour menu with an order of egg rolls and tofu frites. Ordered a pad thai and the 3 curry combo to get a taste of them all. Honestly, all the curry was delicious and the pad thai also tasted good. One thing about the pad thai, we did notice that the shrimp was a little translucent, that maybe it wasn't cooked all the way thru. Probably should've asked them to take it back, but we were too hungry.
However, not sure if it was just us, but we definitely weren't feeling well after eating the food. We took leftovers home and reheated the next day and got the same reaction of having an upset stomach. Might just be coincidence?
Getting take out here is always a pain. Overshadows the food.
Great Thai food AND sushi on the edge of Toluca Lake.
I love this place really good service beautiful restaurant and great food. Papaya salad is a must
Most part of the visit to this place was loved. The food was well presented and taste was lovely. We tried the veg sushi roll, garlic beans, crispy spring rolls, spicy fried rice, vegetable glass noodles and Thai mango sticky rice.
The vegetable glass noodles were not that great but rest everything was to the T. Prompt and kind service. On time!
Place recommended .. actually highly recommend.
Came here years ago in 2016 with an old friend of mine. The food was good. The service was good up until they threw us out foe closing instead of letting us finish up after we paid . Was a little rude . I haven't came back since
Didn’t expect a restaurant with multiple cuisines to be good. Excellent flavors
Lost of options gorgeous place and good food
We had drinks you should too the martini is perfect
Excellent sushi and Thai...we visited twice during our last visit to LA and can't wait to go back.
Fantastic Thai food! Great service and many options for a wonderful dining experience. We come here every time we are in town.
I’ve been here several times and always have a great experience! Drinks are delicious, wide array of appetizers and happy hour options. Tom kah and miso glazed sea bass are repeat favorites. Service is friendly and prompt.
I started with the lychee martini (sweet but very good), then on to the gyoza (just alright). It’s a place to take you significant other dim lights cozy and great food and drinks.
The staff is top notch, food is incredible, prices are super affordable, and the atmosphere is nice. We will definitely be back. Get the Tom Kah, Corn Fritter, and dumpling app.
I LOVE GHINDI THAI <3 … I drive all the way from Santa Montica to pick it up for dinner.
Delicious and fresh food and great service.
LOVE THIS PLACE! I eat in and order takeout here often and its always good quality and consistent. Always good service too!
We love eating at Gindi Thai! The restaurant itself is lovely, the staff is welcoming and helpful, and the food and drinks are excellent. Everything we have tried we enjoy. It’s our go-to spot when family and friends ask us where we want to eat. We highly recommend it!
This small but trendy Thai eatery has its ups and downs. Sometimes the food is unmatched in its flavor and preparation, while sometimes dishes are bland and unimpressive. I've had Satay with amazing peanut zing...and mushy satay with no taste. I've had Pad See Ew that swirls across the tastebuds with warm delight...and Pad see pew that was starchy, stodgy, and not worth finishing. The prices are somewhat comparatively steep, too. However, the service is unfailingly polite and professional, and the restaurant layout is cozy and fun. So, when the chef is in top form, this place is aces.
Decent food and good service.
Love this place! Neighborhood favorite. The sushi is surprisingly good for a Thai restaurant as well!
Think twice before ordering Mango Sticky Rice here. They charge $13.23 (everywhere else I’ve been Mango Sticky Rice is $10 max) and the sticky rice has been the smallest portion I have ever received (palm-sized portion). So small I decided to go back and asked to pay for more sticky rice. The receptionist tells me for one scoop of sticky rice it would be $5 plus tax. 💀 I couldn’t believe it. I respectfully declined. The vast majority of places serve bigger potions for a cheaper price. I hope someone can learn from my experience.
Food is delicious, lots of choices, good lunch menu and the staff is friendly.
Do not recommend. Got Pad Thai on the way home just to try the place. Zero flavor. How do they do it?? Had some soy sauce at home then it tasted like.,..ta da, soy sauce and nothing else. Save your money.
This was a particularly delicious Thai restaurant with clearly labeled gluten-free options. Everything was tasty, and I was happy to find that the dishes we ordered were more flavorful and less sweet than the same dishes at other Thai restaurants I've been to. The atmosphere and service was amazing as well. Highly recommend!
Super good food. The restaurant is really pretty with a very relaxed energy. It's a great place to have a meal.
Sushi is below average, above average price. Atmosphere is weak, parking limited, friendly staff. I won’t go back.
Very small restaurant. It looked family owned. I ordered the Pad Sew Ew and I thoroughly enjoyed it but I wish it was less sweet. I also ordered the Thai Iced tea and it was pretty average. Overall, I would go there again.
Good service, good sushi.
I liked the ambience here and their outdoor seating. Their drinks were also delicious, but everything was a bit overpriced. I also noticed that the shrimp in my pad Thai was a bit translucent which told me that it wasn't cooked all the way. I thought nothing of it until I had an upset stomach after that and the next day when me and my partner had leftovers, we both didn't feel well for the rest of the day...
The curry sampler was a great way to try their curries, but I don't think it had enough rice with it. I did like their happy hour plates and drinks though.
The place was really cute! Didn't thing that there'd be such a cute dinner spot out of nowhere in Burbank. Don't bother... It's almost as if they don't want your patronage. Doors were late opening for dinner. We experienced flys and bugs at our table along with left over trash. Food was subpar. Everything including appetizers and sushi was all brought out at the same time. (big no no especially with sushi). Overall disappointed.
Such a good asian fusion restaurant. My parents and I went here when they visited from out of town. Every roll we ate was so fresh and delicious. The Thai curry and noodles was also insanely good. I also got a vegan thai tea and it was the perfect amount of sweet. I’ll definitely be coming back.
Delicious food. Curry was something I've never experienced before. Apps and drinks were also great!
Food good
Service a little slow
Great food a little slow to serve due to limited stuff
Five stars to the delicious Thai curries and noodles. Sushi was amazing too. Do not pass this by.
Food and the atmosphere were great!
Nice place and Great food. I had the combo appetizer and the green curry
Walked in then walked right out due to bad attitude. Too many good restaurants to put up with that. I should learn by now that when no one is dining inside when the neighboring restaurants are packed, it's for good reason.
Four cooks were standing in the kitchen just watching. Send them home!! When I was in High School working these jobs, I certainly didn't stand around. People used to get sent home for that.
The reply was full of assumptions ( which is why I'm editing) but I ended up going to another Thai place nearby where the food and ambience was wonderful.
So these people did me a favor. When I would give empty restaurants a chance I'd be disappointed all the time. On a Saturday night, if they were worth their salt, they'd be busy.
Hope you go out of business; it's what you truly deserve.
Walked in at 8:53 PM and they said they were closing soon and wouldn't seat me. The place was packed outside with groups that would have been there much later than I. Nevertheless, they close at 9 PM and have a sign lit up OPEN . I used to get takeout there and was excited to go back; and when I eat I like to spend and come back over and over! Nice job blowing it Gindi Thai. I will never ever return!
It’s the first time I eaten here. The food here is good! The waiting time is a bit long though. Seem like don’t have enough stuff members in the moment, so it takes a while for them to prepare your food.
Good! Great service
Ordered food tonight at 7:51PM over the phone, they told us to wait for 35 mins to pick it up. Went to the restaurant to get the food at 8:52PM and told us that the food was stolen or was taken by someone else. Not even an apology. They told us to wait another 5 mins. After that, we went back and to grab the food and the cashier guy was somewhat just out of it - told us to pay for it, didn’t give us any confirmation if the payment went through so we walked away, and then called us back to sign the receipt. Worst thing is not even a sanitize pen was available. All pens were dirty! We would have let it slide if they apologize but no, they were so full of themselves about it.
Edit: Who is Josh? I don’t know anyone named Josh and definitely not the guy I was with that night.
Food was good. Not hot like majority of Asian restaurants I go too. Had the yellow curry, and it was ok.. I.d eat it again. Service was ok.. tipped 15%..I think that was really fare
Nice outside atmosphere. Be ready to sit outside if your not vaccinated. The food was OK. It was expensive and not worth the price in our opinion. The lunch menu is not very clear. I asked to substitute the 4 pieces of California roll that came with the lunch plate for 4 pieces of a veggie roll and they had to check with the manager for such a small request. It was strange. Not the best customer service as well.
Service and food ok.
Happy hour from 5-7pm. Small plates are very well done! We tried 6 of them and they were all phenomenal! Wonderful staff too!
Adequate is about all i could say.
As this place seems pretty good, steer clear of the chicken teriyaki. A lot of places are doing this for some reason and I have a feeling it’s to save money but they’re using dark meat chicken instead of white meat. Dark meat already has a fair amount of flavor in it and when you douse it in teriyaki sauce which is a strong sauce it overpowers and kills the flavor. This is a terrible move as it reduces quality.
Had the yellow curry...very good. Nice presentation. A little pricey.
Awesome food, top notch
Superb service and excellent food. Beautiful interior and very nice deck area. We sat outside on the deck and had incredible service.
The food was DELICIOUS!!! Me and my brothers are new to sushi and we enjoyed every bite of our Dragon roll and Thai spicy rice. WARNING when they spicy they DID NOT LIE!!!!!!!!
The food was very good. I loved my prig king and the satay was delicious. Scallops and sushi were all good as well. They got real busy just as we were seated and it got kinda slow but I firmly believe that is just because we hit the rush. I would love to try some of their curries next time.
We had our dinner delivered + I am super impressed!
I ordered the Seared Scallops with Snow Peas + Jasmine Rice paired with a refreshing Thai tea with no ice.
I honestly have zero complaints.
I would probably order it with no onions in the future if I were to pay attention to that detail but I just push them to the side.
I did order my scallops at medium heat which was perrrfect and honestly pretty spicy. It leaves a little lingering tingle in your mouth after you take a break between bites if you’re watching a movie but it’s in no way overwhelming.
I’ll definitely return and I can imagine how much better it is during dine in.
Delicious fresh Japanese/ Thai food... Indoor, outdoor seating... Parking a little tricky in this area so give yourself time to find parking.
I can sing praises of this place forever. Delicious, design-forward. Great atmosphere, nice lounge music. Best Thai restaurant by far. We have just moved to Santa Monica, but will definitely be coming back just for this place.
Everything is very flavorful, very well cooked and served.
Customer service here is excellent! All the staff members are friendly and feel their customers very well! Great attitude and also very professional.
I definitely recommend this place and hope they continue to gain more new customers.
Thank you for making our experience so special.
The best sushi I swear. The rolls are so fresh, they test exactly how they should test. And the prices are worth the quality.
Excellent delivery service. Sushi was fresh, miso soup still hot, and they even threw in some extra edamame as a treat.
Great lunch specials. We had the yellow curry and one of the coconut soups. I like the portion sizes for lunch and you can ask for spice levels.
During this time of Covid they've been really responsible and clean. The food is terrific as well.
Yum and yum. Fun experience.delish. nice.outdoor dining.
Food is good
My all time favorite Thai place! Pad thai is delicious. They have a new outdoor area that's beautiful!
Delicious curry trio. Enjoying the sidewalk dining!
This was the first time I had been out since covid-19 started and I have to say it was a pleasant experience. The staff here are very accommodating and friendly. I had the spicy tuna poke bowl and it was delicious. My family had some sushi and also thought it was great.
I would definitely come here again. I didn’t post any pictures because I was too busy enjoying the food.
Got the yellow curry plate (had to order an extra bowl of rice). Highly recommend the egg roll (wish there was two included)...though, do not order the chicken with it, stringy, take a a lot of time to chew...didn't eat all the chicken pieces). So def. pick another option then the chicken or hopefully they improve on the quality of the chicken. Thanks so much. BTW, ginger lemonade is good, though sweet. Ice is great with it.
Excellent food, elegant atmosphere, exceptional service. We had happy hour appetizers and wine, Thai pad, and chicken rice dish with pineapple and raisins, fried banana with coconut ice cream. Food came quickly and was delicious. As soon as a dish was emptied, it was removed. Waiters and waitresses were friendly and attentive.
I order large orders here for work all the time and the food is always great, on time, and the order is always correct. The staff is always very kind which makes me happy to keep coming back!
Extremely slow service. Waited over ten minutes for the server to talk to me.
Nice Thai food
Awesome
Lovely happy hour menu
Love the Pad Thai and Ginger Sidecar. Always fresh and delicious!
Great food!
Menu has a great variety for all palates. We enjoyed the Chicken Satay (looks like a wigwam), the Garden Roll, and Kang Gari Gai with Chicken and their famous Brown Rice. Gindi Thai has the best brown rice. Service is five star. Quick and attentive. Atmosphere is clean and pleasant. A great place for two or four. The main restaurant space does not yield itself to large parties.
Food not that great & super slow service.
We tried ordering sushi.. the serve said it would take 45 minutes & we dropped the idea!
Portion size is small, not enough for 1 person!
They were understaffed for sure. 2 fancy bars on both sides of the restaurants and no bar tender.
Delicioso
The food was good! The service was slow. I ordered the Veggie Trio and large hot sake with edameme to start. Took a long time for anything to drop at the table.. say about 10mins. Warm edameme was dropped first before any of our drinks. My entree should come with a miso soup but that didn't come with it until I had to ask about it. We came in an hour before closing 830pm so they must be getting ready to close but service really suffered. Luckily we weren't in a rush.
Walked here from work and didn't have the friendliest experience from start to finish. I ordered drunked noodles togo, which had a good flavor and tasted fine, but there really was not a lot of food in there. Most thai restaurants will give you plenty of food, and this was about $14 so about average price, but not an average portion size. The staff was also not the nicest or welcoming so I give it 3 stars.
Ordered pickup for lunch. Got the chicken teriyaki lunch. Very ample amount of food for the price. It's very delicious as well
Top notch, clean, simple, tasty and well executed. Happy hour for two written all over it. From the OC, would visit again!
This is among the best Thai food in Burbank. Consistently fresh & delicious no matter what dish you try, what day of the week, how busy it is, etc. Everyone who works there is a consummate professional and service always top.
Best Thai food and courteous staff.
So tasty, with good sized portions and nice staff!
Nice food great ambience.. I fell in love with thai food after visiting Gindi Thai..
Beautiful atmosphere! .....Very poor service. It was like nobody cared...I expected more. My salmon got to me lightning fast ....and cold. (It was supposed to be grilled?--)Thank goodness I had great company.
Roti curry is best
I have been enjoying this spot for over a decade. They have a large menu and you can't go wrong with any choice. The yellow curry is the best I have had and I have had a lot. I usually choose to replace the potatoes with extra chicken. The Tom Kah soup is another one of my go to selections. Spring or fried rolls are always a great start and their dipping sauce is very good. Wash it down with a mango mojito and the night is set.
Good Thai food cooked with fresh ingredients
Ate here a few days ago with a friend and fell in love with the place. Extensive menu, gracious service and excellent food for a reasonable price. My friend had a salad and I opted for a yellow curried chicken, which was outstanding. The highlight was the unrefined brown rice alongside it - fantastic chewy texture and flavor. Don't miss this place!
Food was good but bad attitude from the day who serviced .we had an issue with our child , from that moment on they wanted us to leave . Eg. She asked if we need desert with a ready made bill in her hand.basically she wanted us to leave .
Awesome !
Pad thai and pad see ew where both made to perfection. Close enough to work to talk and service is always just right.
Lovely place, very clean
I like how they give good portions there not as stingy with portion size, it was a very clean place 9 out of 10 in my book
So good! My partner ordered the pho and said that it's the best he's ever had (and he's obsessed with pho so that's a big deal). I ordered what was basically a make your own spring rolls deal. It was really fun and delicious and I felt like I wasn't just eating dinner but doing an activity too.
My favorite Thai place!! The corn fritters, garden rolls, pad thai and fried bananas with coconut ice cream are over the top delicious.
Good Thai place...
Food quality does not seem to justify the prices. Parking is a huge problem.
Good meal, very quick service and reasonable prices.
The tablecloths were a nice touch - you can draw on them whilst waiting for your food.
Very attentive staff.
Excellent service. Hot food. Really good.
It was really good
Delicious food. Nice atmosphere.
Lunch was excellent and timely!
