5 Stars – Authentic Thai Cuisine with Exceptional Service!
SATU Thai is an absolute gem! From the moment you step inside, you’re welcomed by a warm and inviting atmosphere that perfectly complements the authentic Thai experience.
• Delicious Food: Every dish is bursting with rich flavors and fresh ingredients. The Pad Thai is perfectly balanced, the curries are incredibly aromatic, and the mango sticky rice is a must-try!
• Outstanding Service: The staff is exceptionally friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, always happy to make recommendations.
• Cozy Ambiance: A beautifully decorated space that makes you feel like you’ve been transported straight to Thailand.
If you’re looking for a true taste of Thailand with top-notch service, SATU Thai is the place to be. Highly recommended!
This is a little hole in the wall restaurant that delivered. It's a bit small in size with a couple of tables inside and outside. We were a group of 11 and it was already like 33% full. I ordered the Pineapple Fried Rice which came with pineapple (duh), egg, onion, cashew nuts, raisins, pea carrots, scallions curry powder with chicken amd shrimp. My friend let me try the Pad Kee Mao (drunken noodles) which is flat noodles stir fried with basil, bell pepper, onion, chili sauce on top of romaine. The pineapple fried rice was good and the pineapple added some tanginess to it which paired well with the chicken and shrimp. The drunken noodles had spiciness levels to it and I don't remember which my friend got but it wasn't unbearable or overwhelming. The food portions were good and the pricing is very reasonable. Our server was very kind, attentive and would joke a lot with us which we appreciated. And then after we received free ice cream which was awesome. Had a very enjoyable experience here and would definitely come back and recommend to others!
This tiny hole in the wall packs a huge flavor punch that left me daydreaming of my next visit (spoiler alert: I keep coming back every week). The orange chicken was crispy and flavorful, and all of the curries are creamy perfection. If anyone goes to Thai restaurants for the Thai iced tea like I do, this one delivers a multi-note traditional flavor I love.
Best Thai in the SGV - no doubt. This place has a great menu, with great prices and even greater flavor. You can’t go wrong with whatever you order, but my favorites are still
1. 3 flavor Fish - amazing crisp and crunch, with a wonderful sweet marmalade over the top
2. Any of their soups, Tom Kha is favorite for sure
3. Pad Sew - amazing flavor with fresh ingredients. Classic recipe
Honorable mention - Larb Salad, always a great choice for someone looking for a lighter dish, but packed with freshness and flavor
Rare gem nestled away. Good, well made Thai food is hard to do. These guys nailed it right on the head! Calamari fried , good! Insane good, pineapple shrimp curry! Medium , adds a bold amount of spice to your dish but adds good flavor. Ordered a young coconut to top it off, very yummy! Highly recommend this place !
Out of the way, small and friendly. We stopped for lunch and were pleased to find a family run, authentic Thai experience. This place is not big, 8 tables inside and 4 tables on a small patio. Very casual. Not too noisy. I was also impressed when I peaked into the kitchen noting at all staff wore caps and masks for food safety.
We had the Spicy Basil with Thai Chili and the Black Pepper Garlic entrees, with the Spring Roll appetizer. All delicious!
Very nice, quaint Thai restaurant hidden in a corner spot next to a mini mart. Don't let its unassuming appearance deter you. Excellent food at very reasonable prices. Good lunch specials as well. We plan to return.
Update 9/28/20
What can I say that I haven’t already. Stellar food and better service. From pick up, delivery and dine in. Always great. This time was pick up and the food and service was just as good as always. My GF and i prefer different spice levels and she doesn’t like onions, scallions or tomatoes so we are always customizing our orders. What impressed me is they have never messed up an order. We’ve even gone to two different spice level for the salad dressing and they always accommodate.
As for the food this trip, it was delicious. It’s been a month or so since our last trip due to the pandemic, so the food just tasted even better than we remember. Will have to make sure not to wait so long before the next trip.

One of the best Thai places I have ever been too. Flavors are amazing and service impeccable. Go to dishes are the spicy Beef Salad and Penang Curry, but have tried many others and all were great. Only mistake I’ve ever made was to order items spicy which is something they take serious. I’ve had to adjust to Med Spicy which is perfect for most and then can kick it up when needed with their spicy sauces. The one with green chiles is fire. When you dine in, they also give you a small serving of ice cream which always hits the spot.

Been coming here for years. Panang Curry and Pad Thai are great! Don’t sleep on the spicy beef salad! Everyone’s super nice and take out is smooth!
This place NEVER misses! The food is great and the customer service is just as great! They also have cute little stickers and pins that you can buy! 😍
This was the 1st time I have ordered from this place, I did so because of the reviews, I ordered the wonton soup, its was ok, only had 1 piece of shrimp, the rest was chicken dumplings, I also ordered the wontons and they came almostly burnt.

hard to find good asian food in this area so this really hit. great food and friendly service.
Great little place, with excellent food and good service.
Our local go-to Thai restaurant!
I make it a point to eat at this wonderful establishment every time I visit Southern California. The service is Excellent and no other Thai Restaurant in the San Gabriel Valley has the quality of their food. Unique & Delicious 5 stars all the way.

We’ve tried probably 10 other Thai places in the area and Satu is our favorite. The food is great and the service is excellent. They grow a lot of herbs in front of their restaurant which is very cool also.

I work nearby and come here regularly. The lunch specials are the perfect portion size for me and sometimes i may even save a bit for dinner. I recommend the green curry lunch special and the pad thai lunch special. This restaurant is a small mom and pop shop with very good value for money. I've tried other thai places around and they were so unreasonably priced compare to satu thai. They even have an herb garden out front that they use for garnish!
Great food

Great food so close to home
You’re reading reviews wondering if you should try this place. YES. DO IT. I LOVE SATU. SO GOOD.
A small neighborhood "gem," with the tastiest Thai food. The menu offers a wide range of food(s) and beverage. The food is prepared meticulously with very fresh ingredients and food presentation is impressive. We ordered many dishes and shared family style, to sample the various flavor nuances to each dish -- All were delicious. Very affordable, with prices ranging from $9.00-$25.00 per dish

Best Thai food in sgv period and always courteous.
Staff is always friendly and accommodating. Food is great and flavorful! My go to Thai spot in the area.
We go here for lunch and dinner. Yummy food with wonderful options - and their lunch special cannot be beat!
Love this Thai restaurant, it’s super small inside. I take my food to go .
Nice casual spot. I usually get takeout here at least once a month, but I've dined in a few times. Service is good, food comes out fast (they must use A LOT of heat when cooking), and it's great - better than the other Thai places nearby. Good portion sizes and great taste/textures. I usually get the spicy basil eggplant tofu, but everything else I've tried has been great. My wife has been getting the Panang Curry lately. Definitely recommend this place.
Amazing pad Thai !!! Godd service
Great Food and service. I pray they grow and expand soon.
I've been here about 5 times now and every single time I leave so full and so happy. The staff is wonderful. The food is great.
The curry is unreal, if you want to try the yellow curry before committing to the dish, get the curry appetizer - you won't be disappointed. The spring rolls are delicious as well.
The Pad Thai and Drunken Noodles are amazing
And the Thai iced tea is *chefs kiss*
I love this place so much.
Tasty food and great service.
The inside is a little small, but we were luckily the only ones eating in. The service was top notch, friendly, helpful, prompt, we even got free little ice creams for dessert!
Would come again, and will definitely be doing takeout in the near future.
Good service and good Tom yum soup. The server convinced me to go for medium spice first, seeing I am not a true Thai. And I am glad.
This place has the best Thai food I've tasted. Very small place with maybe six tables. They're busy and very friendly. Everything I've ordered has been excellent. You can get it very spicy like the way I like it or with no spice but the flavor still delivers.
Great Thai food and great environmental.
I ordered coconut water, and when they gave an actual coconut on a plate with a straw and a spoon, I was sold! I got to sip the refreshing juice and spoon out the meat while I waited for my delicious plate of Pad see ew. I ordered sans eggs, and tofu for my protein choice to meet my vegan diet and they were very patient, kind, and accommodating. The atmosphere was very peaceful and it was a great break from work!
Good food. Nice neighborhood. Great price
My wife and I enjoy the lunch specials which includes salad and dessert. The price is very reasonable and almost the same as fast food. The food is fresh. The service is excellent. We will continue to dine here.
Have a diner definitely am coming back with our family for more very friendly staff love It.
What a wonderful gem in Azusa! Great service, really nice people, delicious food. They have a really cute patio with herbs growing. They are consistently good. The pad Thai, drunken noodle and green curry rice are my favorites. Egg rolls are always hot and crispy.
Diamond in the rough
Delicious! Everything fresh
First time going and we loved it everything was delicious .
I really enjoyed the pad thai and boba milk tea. Will definitely come again!
Delicious! I had the green Curry, it was really full of flavor. They are also very kind people 😊
Small place, Good service, tasty food
Great Thai food and portions. Parking can be a little tricky.
Absolutely love this place
The food is expensive but definitely delicious and worth it. Very happy I gave it a try.
The honey garlic wings were amazing
This is by far the BEST Thai restaurant I've been to. I've tried others in the area and they don't compare. Plus the owners/employees are super friendly and always get the order correct. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED...👍
kind staff & good quick takeout!!!
Good food
One the the best Thai restaurants I’ve ever eaten, hands down.
The food here is so fresh & delicious with friendly staff. Their curry was very comforting after a long two days in the mountains, thank you
Essentially a hole in the wall, this Thai restaurant is fantastic. The service was very friendly and the food was among the best Thai I’ve had. I ordered Shrimp Panang Curry, which was the perfect spice level and amazing flavor. More work could be done to make the restaurant more suitable to dine in, but great place to go as is.
Nice place. Clean A rating. Needs advertising hard to find.
Super delicious food :)
I always get pad Thai here and it’s the best I’ve ever had
Fast, delicious and cheap.
The food is just amazing.

This place is awesome, my go to place in Azusa
The Thai food here is the best I’ve tried in Azusa so far the Pat Thai is good, the Beef salad is there best. I was happy. The BBQ chicken is a bit to sweet but ok. I don’t usually order out but it was 105 and I was to tired to cook, and I didn’t want to heat up my place.
One of my favorite thai places to eat
I Love this place. Authentic Thai food that is always consistent. Please support this small business they are a gem in Azusa!!
Super good yummy food
UPDATE: 3/15/20
Hello! This is one of my favorite spots to go out and eat. It's a comfortable and intimate environment. Recently, it has come to my attention that YELP is charging them an obscene amount of money and it's hitting them hard. Please, please just go try it out. It's the best Thai food I have ever had. The owners are always there and once you go often enough. Please help them out.
I love the fried rice with chicken, the chicken satay, roti curry, the grilled chicken and the pad see ew. Cannot recommend this place enough. The fried rice is the best I've ever had, anywhere and my SO said that the pad see ew is the best he's ever had. Can't wait to try everything else on the menu! It is tucked away on a cozy corner of the shopping center by the Liquor Mart. The service is great and every other plate I've seen served has looked enticing.
The food was great and very flavorful! The menu had a good variety and all the well known Thai classics. The restaurant is very small so it is not great for groups. Other than that, it is a great spot for the area.
Not much to look at, but food is authentic, well prepared and delicious. Would be a"go to" place if I lived close by.
The food has no flavor and just tastes like burnt something. Not a quality establishment
Best thai in town!!

Love the Food!
The Pad Thai here is so flavorful and was a non-spicy dish. I added a side of their Peanut Sauce - great authentic, homemade flavor. They don’t open until 11am most days, but they do a lunch special that includes most of their signature dishes.
Delicious fresh fair priced food!
I tried this place as a pit stop on a road trip and was still thinking about it a year later. Made a special trip out to Azusa just for this spectacular food. Their noodles are out of this world. I’ll be making another special trip for it again.
The food is amazing! The cook used to cook for a large, successful Thai restaurant.... and I had missed this cook ... and without knowing this cook was now a co-owner of Satu Thai, I came here ... I was so happy I found this restaurant! Come for an authentic Thai food here. Great service!!!
Delicious
Love the food here!!
Yummy Red curry😋
Great Food, service and affordable. My whole family loves the food here. Only its extremely SMALL. You would have to order to go or find the right times to eat there.
Great food. Very nice people. Definitely go here again!
Excellent coconut chicken soup and satay.
Always great food. They have a good lunch menu
I've been here many times. It's a nice little spot for some Thai food, lunch or dinner. They recently re-did the decor and menus, and it looks very modern. I like this place, however sometimes when I order chicken based dishes (orange chicken, pineapple fried rice) the chicken is super dry and not pleasant to consume.
I really enjoyed this place. The owner was nice. I ordered the Rad Nah with shrimp. One guest got the pineapple curry and liked it. Our other friend ordered pad Thai and loved it. Overall good vibe and great food! Support small business!
I ordered orange chicken at the "Medium" level which is my normal preference at other Thai restaurants
It was almost inedibly spicy! After the meal I actually threw it all up, my stomach completely rejected it.
The flavor was great, and my wife's Tom Yum soup was amazing (she did "no heat"). But please don't call that level of spice "Medium." If anything that's a Thai medium and not an American medium. It was equivalent to what most Thai places call hot or very hot.
Some of us have messed up our stomachs by eating spicy Thai and Mexican food since we were kids. We can't handle that much spice. So at least call it a Thai Medium. You don't want your customers to go through what I did last night!
Clean. Great taste and friendly service. Reasonable prices
On vacation and from the Bay Area and my husband and I were craving some thai food. We are vegan and the hostess and chef were very gracious to make our food without any meat or dairy. The food was very delicious! The flavors and seasonings and spices were perfect. Everything balanced itself out, The prices were very reasonable too. Next trip my husband and I take to Southern California, we are definitely making a stop at Satu Thai Bistro. It's a small hole in the wall place, but very worth it to try. Once more the food is excellent!
Great place! And the food is even better
Curry is amazing. Highly recommend.
This small bistro offers very authentic thai food. I do enjoy coming here, the staff is very friendly
Good food, service and prices. Trifecta!
Excellent Thai food. Quality has been consistent over the years. Is a hidden gem. We dine in and take out. Highly recommended.
Hidden gem. Great food and nice people
The food was very delicious and the staff are all super nice. My kids even loved it.
Good places
Best thai food the flavor is amazing, the sweet and spicy sauce has just the right balance, there pad thai is mouth watering will leave you wanting more best thai place in azusa, and there service is great they treat you like family I will definitely be coming back time and time again
Delicious food, friendly staff.
Really good food, good price
Truly great service!
Good Thai food. Nice quality, small neighborhood resturant, fast service without much ado meaning young man taking order was quite nonchalant but he wasn't unpleasant. We will return.
Very tasty and reasonably priced.
Loved it
Good small restaurant. I typically get mango salad with spicy sauce. And omelette Thai style.
Best family business in the area. Great tom yum & staff
The food is excellent. But I wish the server would smile at their clients more.
A hidden gem. Mango salad is off the chart good. Wings, fish, fried rice and soups are amazing. Never had anything but a wonderful experience there.
Great quality Thai place, one of my favorites out of many I have been to, even in Thailand! :) Glad it is so close to my home in Azusa. All their dishes are great; pad see ew & curry are my favs, and they have many vegetarian options. Their lunch specials are a great deal! and be sure to get a thai tea or thai coffee with boba :)
This place is so good and they have brown rice.small plates that definitely get you full and satisfy.
Mango sticky rice was really good!!
The beef salad is one my personal favorites. It satisfies my appetite while on the keto life style. The salad flavorful and healthy.
I've searched for years and never have I had Pad See Ew so good! The flavor, texture and subtle addition of the mildly heretical thinly sliced carrots made it heavenly! The service is great and they often give free ice cream just cause. Can't speak highly enough of this place!
I love this place! Their menu plates are pretty spicy so if you can't handle the heat ask for less spicy. So sweet they give you free ice cream at the end of your meal.
Only been there once only reason why it's a 4. Quiet out of the way place. Soup was hot and large portion mango sweet rice was great. Friendly service ... a must try again and again
A good little Thai food place to get a well priced meal. Small seating area, very fast service. Would definitely go back.
Great! I rode 31 miles on my bike to get the teriyaki burger. Cash only is a pain.
Great intimate atmosphere ! The Thai was very tasty we had pineapple curry and drunken noodle were really good! We will return when in the area!!
So goood!
My fave Thai spot I looooove the Pineapple Fried rice & the Rotti Curry Dip 😍💘 & so many other dishes that are fresh, healthy & BONUS locally produced from. Very happy every single time with their customer service, just adore them 😊 it's small but it has a classy serene vibe to it & I simply love supporting a small business individual that's so on point- 6 stars if I could 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
