Compact Thai kitchen serving familiar noodle, rice & curry plates in a shopping–center setting.
We had a great time getting together at this cozy restaurant. This is the second time coming here. The food was outstanding again, so good. We got two different curry soups, BBQ pork fried rice, curry salmon, and everyone enjoyed all of it. The server was very nice and accommodating. We stayed and had longer and talked, feeling comfortable. Definitely will be coming back. In fact, I can't wait.
While staying at the Hotel across the street me and my wife stopped in for Dinner 1 night. The dining area isn't exceptionally large but all tables were full except 1 and everyone looked satisfied. We ordered Rangoon's for an appetizer and they were very good. Actual crab style, not just cream cheese. My wife ordered Chicken Pad See Ew and I ordered Beef Pad Thai. They ended up bringing out Chicken Pad Thai and Beef Pad See Ew but we were sharing anyways and everything was delicious, didn't even consider bothering the busy staff about it because we were still pleased with it. Water never went empty and the single server to the whole restaurant was quick and kind. Highly recommend! Other options on the menu looked traditional and delicious as well.
Delicious Thai place!! They can really bring the heat if you want it. They also bring out an assortment of hot sauces and pepper flakes if you really want to torture yourself. The spicy fried rice had a great flavor to it. The waitress was super nice and they were sanitizing the tables and the check folders after every use. They were not super busy this time but other times I’ve seen the line out the door. The wait is definitely worth it!
Great Thai food. Prices are affordable. Owner is very sweet and nice. One of my favorite places to have lunch at work. My favorite is the beef Pad See Ew and shrimp Pad Kee Mao.
I always walk across the street after my therapy appointments to eat lunch here. It’s a very cozy spot with good food and good people. Great service.
This is a favorite. We go as often as we can. We’ve lived very close or nearby and just stumbled on it about 10 years ago and fell in love. Great clean healthy food and restaurant. The owners are wonderful. Friendly courteous and it’s a must if you like Thai food. We’ve dined as well as takeout both are great.
The drunken noodles are good from here. However, I order green curry at EVERY Thai place I visit. I was really disappointed in the green curry from this restaurant. It had a neon green color, strange consistency, and they used really cheap vegetables (lots of broccoli stems and cucumbers). I absolutely hate wasting food but I had to throw it away, I disliked it that much.

They literally kicked us out because we initially ordered to go and then wanted to sit and eat
Great phone customer service. Food was hot ready, and really good.
The crab fried rice is super good. The best I’ve ever had in anywhere else
I drive 40 min just to eat here no other place!! Amazing food!!
Phenomenal food!! Fresh and full of flavor!
Great Thai food. Small place nice people
Excellent food very flavorful and good recipes. Small seating area but worth going.
Phoned in a pick up. Service was fine. The green curry and orange chicken was so underwhelming it made for a disappointing dinner. We will not be returning since there are many better choices.

We wanted some yummy Thai food and this place hit the spot! Fresh, flavorful food and friendly service. All bases covered excellently. Will be back!

Amazing Thai food. I would eat here many times a week when I was working in the area.
Wonderful find. The food was really good. Everything we ordered had great flavors. I recommend to anyone looking for a good Thai meal 😋
I have never been disappointed with Basil Thai. Authentic Thai food by very humble owners.
We finally found our local Thai food spot!!!

This place should be full capacity every day! If you haven't been here, you need to go. The food is so fresh and delicious, prices are decent, and amount of food is just right.
My wife and I have been coming here for a few years and it's our top Thai spot in the area. Some of our favorites : Wonton Soup( best I've had), Pad See Ew with Beef, BBQ Pork Fried Rice, Pad Krapow, also can't go wrong with Pad Thai. Molly is sweet and attentive and we love going to see her.
Absolutely love the amazing food and everything about Basil Thai!
Curry was delicious, the noodles were lit. Level 5 spicy had me fighting for my life. Let's GOOO
We are visiting the Arcadia area, and decided to try Basil Thai. The dinner was a great experience! The service provided was excellent, very attentive and helpful. The food was some of the best Thai we’ve ever had. We ordered Pad Thai, Orange Chicken, and (Mild) Massaman Curry. We didn’t wait very long, and the servings were generous. We will definitely eat here anytime we are in the neighborhood :)
Fair priced, tasty food, quiet and clean. Everything came out hot and flavorful!
Great tasting food. Hot and fresh. Fast service and everything was 100%
I loved the seafood soup 😋 I been eating there for more then 5 years if not more. Today is my lucky day am on my way there 😔 the sad thing I have to wait for them to open the place. I believe at 5 💃🏼😋😋
From the second we walked into this spot it smelled so flavorful 🤤 we shared two entrees& an appetizer, so delicious! Service was amazing and beyond quick 🤩🙌🏽
Best thaï food in town. A friend from Thailand make me discovered the place since then I can’t go to an other one. I cross all the city for to enjoy their food. Service is fast and the food is really good, staff is so nice and friendly. I totally recommend this place for an occasion !
Our go to Thai restaurant.
Great place for Thai food. The food tasted fresh and good. The lunch was great and overall get satisfied with the quality of food and service.

One of the best spicy seafood soup I've had. Also excellent service by the lady making sure we were okay.
Thai food. Pad see ew is good. Try some of their salads!
I live in Madison WI and am out in LA for a week of vacation. This place offers better Thai food than anyplace in town where I live! I've been here twice this week. Both meals were healthy and delicious. I will miss Basil Thai. And very reasonably priced.
bad service…!! long wait and bad attitude do not recommend it
Great service.
Food is on the smaller side & the chicken is pretty hard
The drunken noodles are good from here. However, I order green curry at EVERY Thai place I visit. I was really disappointed in the green curry from this restaurant. Outstanding quality and service. Fresh as can be every time.
Friendly service and quality food, tried the Wonton soup and the Pineapple Fried Rice with chicken it was so good, my only complaint was the portion, quality food but a little light on the portions
Place is very clean and server very nice,
definitely I’ll go back!
Excellent Pad See Ew and Mango prawns. Enjoyed the cucumber salad and fried rice sides.
Everything was fresh and delicious
Great food
Great Panang Salmon !!
I came here for lunch today for the 1st time, and it will be my LAST! Service was very nice but this cook seems to think there is no need for flavor because there was none! I ordered the shrimp pad thai which barely had flavor and the shrimp tasted like it was boiled, not even sauteed in butter or garlic. No salt, no pepper. I also tried the yellow curry. Just like I read in another review, it tasted like chicken noodle soup from a can. There were not flavors of Thai food anywhere. Maybe they are trying to save money by cutting back on spices. A disappointing $25 purchase.
noodle soup very tasty
This food had negative amounts of flavor in it. We ordered pad Thai, pineapple fried rice, and yellow curry. The curry might as well have been chicken noodle soup.
Great food, flavor is always consistent. Pad Thai is good and you have to try the 'crying tiger'!
Great curry and Tom sum soup, recommended.
Great food and excellent service
Delish and fairly priced!
The food here is great. Among all the many Thai restaurants in LA, their spicy fried rice is the best IMO.
Amazing service and excellent food. By far, a great experience !
Good lunchtime price. Good quality of food.
Best Thai restaurant I've ever tried, good price and very fresh food, bathroom impeccable.
I Consider the disk size of food is small for the price . One disk of food may not enough for big eater.
Really good Pad Thai!
My friend and I shared the the coconut soup and found it disappointing: unbalanced in flavor and seasoning, way too thin and sour. We then shared the pad Thai, usually a safe bet, and were again disappointed. We sent it back as bland and tasteless and then received a heavier sauced version which still fell short. Our server was unfriendly, even surly. There are MUCH better Thai options!
Very delicious fresh food and decently priced...if you love Thai food you'll love this place..
Really good!
The best That food in S SC hands down
Totally authentic, flavorful, and hits the spot.
We had yellow chicken curry and Tom yum soup. It was made just the way we asked and the service was fast and friendly. I would definitely go again.
Best chicken in coconut soup I’ve ever had. Delicious. Came in late before they closed and still food served was wonderful. Thank you. It was a nice surprise.
Amazing.
Best Pad Thai I have had. We are so happy we found this little spot and we are addicted. I have never been disappointed with the food or service.
Amazing food! Great service and prices.
Food prices were reasonable drink prices were high but that is expected. Food quality was good and I would eat here again however I think $4 plus per drink is a little bit costly wherever you purchase them.
Excellent food, very authentic. Service was very nice and happy. Highly recommended.
The food is delicious and the workers are very friendly!
Have u been to thai restaurant that doesnt serve white rice? This is one unique specimen. Moreover the waitress had such an attitude that no guest will feel welcome
The food was delicious!! Only disappointment was there was hardly any chicken in the pad Thai... it was all noodles (I’m not exaggerating- had to look through the noodles to find a piece here and there). 😒
The most amazing place ever. The food is awesome and perfect
Great Thai food with exceptional curries
Best lunch in the area. Wonderfully friendly service.
Pad Thai chicken extra hot, was delicious so much flavor as well as the wonton soup definitely worth going to.
Quiet place, average food
Bad and overpriced I felt sick after eating phad kee Mao tried one more time still not good and not worth going to again
Excellent and authentic food.
I worked at a Thai restaurant for about 10 years when I was younger and am very particular about Thai food. This is some of the best I've had in years! Very fast and awesome service as well.
Great family owned business. We love this place. The food is great!
That is some delicious yellow curry! Very friendly staff and the food is amazing
Love the food😂 great heat and taste
The food was absolutely delicious! The waiters are so polite and nice, and you feel at home when you are inside. Yes it might be a small place but the food is simply amazing, they will not disappoint you.
Visiting the area we took a chance in a place with no customers inside; such a good choice. We ordered a variety of dishes for the table including the red curry catfish, crying tiger, pad thai green curry... everything we ordered we enjoyed.
High quality food at a quite affordable price, most dishes are under $10.
Not particularly greasy, meats cooked well, would visit again!
The food is AWESOME and AUTHENTIC! The folks who work and run the resteraunt are the owners. Such nice people. They want you to be happy and enjoy the food. Its a favorite must go to place! Order the Yellow Curry! It's sooooooooo good!
This is a great place to come for an eat out with friends and family. The waitress/owner (?) of the restaurant is friendly; our family loves Thailand, so we all know a few basic Thai words, which makes it fun to greet and thank her in Thai. I wouldn't say the food is the most amazing Thai I have eaten, but that is simply because my whole family loves spicy food-- real spicy food, not Americanized type-- and Thai restaurants tend to cater to the average American's taste buds; therefore, not so spicy. On the other hand, the flavors make up for that, which is why my family and I love this place. It's an average priced restaurant, so I say, give it a try by yourself or with a friend or family member if you want to try the food but not spend too much with the risk of not liking the food. My family and I doesn't have a very high income, and we can afford this restaurant occasionally; if you are an average American, then I believe you'll find the food and prices excellent. If you believe you're not an average American, then I think you will probably still enjoy it. Additionally, at the Monrovia post office, you can pick up a coupon book there, and in that book, there are two coupons for the Basil Thai, and we used both; they were very helpful! I highly recommend this place.
Worst thai food i ever ate . The panang was watery & the chicken smells bad .
The owner was so loud that we can not have conversation amongst us .
I will not recommend to anyone this food .No service at all .
Place charged by debit card twice! And she had the nerve to tell me she was too busy to check it! Check your bank accounts y'all!
Best thai food in the area by far
One of the best Thai restaurants in the LA area, you will not be disappointed and will enjoy the nice atmosphere. This is a most stop, if you are looking for one of LA's best tasting food.
