Down-to-earth strip-mall option fixing up spicy curries, spring rolls & other Thai favorites.
It was my first visit and will be my last. The seating area was dirty but the tables were clean. The restroom was dirt and hadn't been cleaned well in some time.
I ordered the Pad Thai lunch special with chicken. I always do this on a first visit as it's a very basic dish. It came with soup, white rice, and an egg roll and no Won Ton as mentioned in the menu. The soup was average, and maybe the only thing that wasn't reheated. The noodles were very bland and were just warm. The chicken was tough, cold and very tasteless. The egg roll was warm and tasted like it was made days ago.
The service was pleasant and prompt but there were only two other customers there.
There is nothing about this experience I would want to repeat and no reason to want to come back.
Great Thai place that was recommended to us. We went for lunch and had the panang curry lunch special, and drunken noodles. Both sishes were fresh, very tasty, and had good portion sizes,
We want to go back and try more.
Oh, and don't worry about the construction (Jan '25). That is just the facade of the building, nothing inside is affected.
I've visited a few times for lunch. Service has always been nice. Food has always been very good. Pricing is reasonable. Portions are good. They have several dishes I'd like to try, but the restaurant is not convenient for me. I need to get there for dinner.
Thai food the way I like it to be. Complex layers of flavors. One dish , the drunken noodles, was particularly delicious. I ordered spice level hot. It was the exact balance of heat and sweet that makes a thai dish perfect, a treat that pulls the taste buds in several directions. All 3 dishes were excellent---spice, sweet, basil, herbs, good balance of everything. Please, if you have been craving thai, this is the place to go in Tucson. UPDATE, I go at least once a week, still incredible food! Here again 4/14, I don't know how they do it but the food was the best yet tonight. Drunken noodles, panang curry and pra ram, all outstanding. JB
Sweet little family owned restaurant. The food was excellent and really fresh. The chicken in our dishes was delicate and flavorful instead of the rubber we've seen at other places.
A magical place suspended in time ✨
My favorite dishes:
Red, green & yellow curries with chicken & vegetables & Sweet Thai Iced Tea
Authentic traditional homemade family recipes that will delight all of your senses!
Amazing service - delicious food - clean & friendly atmosphere - you won’t be disappointed.

Amazing, best Thai in town.
The tom kah gai is sooo good. Not sweet, super flavorful.
Simple place with great food and great service!!

Green curry was bland. Tasted off. Will not be going back.
Wow! So good! Amazing vibe!
Food is very VERY overpriced. I ordered fried rice with no onions, no peppers with chicken. It was literally small portion of rice, 5 small pieces of frozen chicken (thin sliced) with white onions. The price was $22 after TAX. I had ordered 2 of those and i ended up paying $47 after tax. I was so embarrassed.
Service is really good and servers are very friendly. Food comes pretty quick. Great location in downtown. But the intentional overpriced food leaves a bad taste everytime.
I dine out every night for the last 6 years.
I may come back if there is no other choices as i love thai food, but definately not my first top 5 thai food choices in Kelowna.
Their fresh spring roll is the best and the people are nice but good luck trying to time a visit - I've made three trips this week and and no success finding a time when they're open.
Ordered the pad Thai. It’s terrible. No seasonings or spices. Plain rice noodles with chicken is what they gave me. Terrible. And there portion sizes are extremely small. I don’t recommend this place at all. Disappointed is not the term.
If i can give a zero star I will rate only zero, because the service was super slow.
If can give 0 star , I want ! The lady no service, no smile and she added 18% Tips . Finally, no receipt!! After paid , Ask for receipt, but wait a long time ! The food too slow! ! NO NEXT TIME !

The spring rolls and egg rolls are wonderful. When you order something Thai hot, it is!. This was my first time here and will rerate when I return. I had the Curry chicken. It was delicious. Service is great and the people are very friendly.
Wish I'd come here sooner. This rivals any of the great traditional Thai I've had in Portland or LA or Hawaii which, while I love my adopted city dearly, is unusual for Tucson. The Pad Kee Mow was yummy but Tom Kha Gai and Kang Mussamun were especially great and full of character. Highly recommend.
Please update your times so they are accurate.
Helpful wait staff and a good selection of Thai food options. Feels like a family place; worth checking out if you are looking for Thai food.
Update: just had the shrimp pad Thai, best I’ve ever had.
I lived in Flagstaff where there are several awesome Thai places and had trouble finding the same quality in Tucson. My friend suggested this place and I have been back several times since for lunch. Best red curry I’ve had in a while, very unique. Flavors are very good. Thai fried rice is unique. Quality of the beef is hit or miss. Spicy level good, very spicy but can be inconsistent. Depending on who serves you, service is not always the friendliest (the young guy is very friendly, the older guy is straight down to business). Their Thai tea is too expensive for what you get and isn’t that great.
I have attempted to come here numerous times because the food is excellent, however, they are always closed and do not follow or update their hours on Google. This is my 4th attempt and I don't think I will try again.
Have loved going to Bai Thong for many years. The curry dishes are superb, and the fresh spring rolls are the best.
The service was very, very, ..... very.... very slow. Even with the place about 1/3rd full. The Green Curry with Tofu showed up as a Red Curry and the Tom Yum Goong showed up as a Green Curry with Shrimp. There could be no argument with the person who was serving. She insisted the Green Curry was Tom Yum. It was clear everyone there was annoyed by the speed of service - just one person working the floor, and not very efficiently. People were showing up to pick up their takeaways and leaving and coming back and leaving and coming back two and three times until threatening to cancel. In the end, the fare was pretty moderate. Nothing to write home about. Some food is worth waiting for, but it's not at this restaurant.
Ordered crab puffs, tom yum soup, green curry and honey duck. Family loved it all and now my daughter is addicted to Thai food. Chef is amazing, the food is great will be coming often.
Always very nice here, nice people, good service, good food, humble space
Every one that works at Bi Thong are awesome . They are friendly, kind and helpful!!! Most of all there food is awesome sauce!!!!!!!
Always excellent. It's hard to find good fish cakes. Pad Kee Mao is y u m.
Delicious food, friendly service
Quick stop for fresh spring rolls and papaya salad. Both were ok, but nothing special. Service was good, place seemed clean. Not busy at 5 pm Monday evening.
The food and service were superb. I had the pad thai lunch special. It comes with soup, rice, pad thai noodles and an eggroll for less than $12. The coconut soup reminded me of my time spent in Bangkok. Delicious! I will definitely be back.
Bai Thong is exceptional in all areas. It is clean, it is comfortable and it's just plain awesome! Enjoy your time! I love it! ❤️
Excellent food, modest service old style decor.
I really like the cashew chicken, great flavor 👍
Recommend the panang curry.
Not the best Thai food I've ever had, but it's still fantastic.
Their food is great, but they NEVER open on time. I am currently waiting outside their door right now. It's nearly 11:30AM and they are supposed to open at 11 according to the sign in their door. This is not the first time this has happened, and it's really, really frustrating.
Great, affordable lunch specials.
Very very bland for Thai food. I ordered the Pad Thai and it was literally worse than Daos Thai Pan's take on it.
The service takes FOREVER and I really regret having them make a second attempt at my dish. (Yay for more waiting). Though the second attempt was indeed MILES better than the first.
I don't plan on returning though.
Authentic Thai food...good customer service and great atmosphere.
Amazing food, just gives you a happy feeling.❤️
We had the Pad Zee Ew and found it to be bland. Also, we like it when it is a little bit saucy, but this was not. It’s possible the other entrées are much better, and based on the other reviews I would say that’s probably true. But for us, we have no plans to return. We did not care for the ambiance. It was clean, however.
The best Thai in town! The spring rolls were very refreshing. The papaya salad was full of flavor and spice. The Tom Kha soup was the best we have ever had anywhere. The Pad Thai and Basil Chicken were both excellent. A great selection of Thai beers too. The owner is very dedicated to his restaurant and it shows in the food and the service.
Excellent Thai food, delicate and aromatic. Definitely my preferred Thai restaurant ever.
This is one of my favorite places to visit for Thai food. My favorite dishes are Panang Curry and Pad Thai. They also make the best spring rolls. I have been going to Bai Thong for at least 15 years and the quality has been the same amazing!
I would give this restaurant a ZERO if I could. Our server was so RUDE!! The food was the worst Thai I've ever tasted!! The the worst part is that I did Not leave a tip because the server insulted me and the food was tasteless but the worse is They added the Tip even though I did not!!! Is this legal?? Worst place I've ever been to.
This restaurant makes the best Thai food in town! My wife and I came here on recommendation after not finding really good options this last year. The owners are Thai and when I walked in, the smell immediately reminded me of my time working and travelled Thailand. Immediately I knew we found a truly Thai restaurant. Excellent service despite a busy night and excellent food :)
Seafood soup needs improvement. Noodles are very tasty, I must admit.
Our favorite Thai restaurant in Tucson. Not much in the way of ambiance, but the food can not be beat. The service is friendly in a family way. We go back often.
Food was good. Service sucked.
The food is good and the owner seems very nice
Simple decor but lovely, fresh food and great service.
Our families favorite Thai Restruarant in Tucson. We’ve eaten there dozens of times and the food is consistently wonderful. It’s thoroughly authentic Thai. Our comparison are the Thai foods we ate in and around Bangkok.
While we can't claim to have tried every Thai restaurant in the Tucson area, this is the best Thai restaurant we have found. In fact, we like their food so much we quit trying other places for our Thai food cravings. It's not unusual for us to eat here once a week or more. Also, the owner and employees are very friendly and want to make sure you enjoy your meal, and while the ambience isn't upscale, everything is clean and serviceable.
Loved the decorations and the food. Service was excellent.
Went to this place for my birthday dinner. I really didn't have any expectations and I will chalk it all up to cultural differences and my own ignorance of the language and food customs. But I really like a place that offers some type of beverage with meals and offers some type of spice or condiments to help flavor. Unfortunately I did get any of those. I don't know how to rate this place but I didn't like it or the apparently inconsiderate and rude waitress and staff. I'll leave it to your own opinions and tastes. Good luck
Very good Thai food. Staff was super friendly and service was fast. I had the red curry with tofu and the kids had the pad Thai. We also had an order of the tofu spring rolls. They offered several other vegetarian/vegan options which all looked yummy! Would definitely return if we lived in Tucson.
Don’t try the sweet & sour from the lunch menu, it’s gross.
The waiter was in a rush all the time because he was the only serving.
this place is awesome.
Great authentic Thai flavor. Pad Thai and curry are outstanding.
My husband loves this place
This restaurant was amazing! The best food and experience that we have had in Tucson regardless of genre. The host, waiter and appeared to be owner was very attentive. The food was amazing. There were 3 of us and everyone ordered something different and all 3 loved theirs. I would highly recommend.
Coming from Seattle, I have been looking for good Pad See Ew in Tucson and this is the best I’ve found since Karuna’s closed. They’re also really nice and the interior reminds me of my favorite Thai place I used to go to back home :)
Really nice hosts. Delicious Thai food in Tucson. We had the larb, pad Thai, and a really good yellow curry…!
then we added another plate of pad Thai because it was so good.
This place is so good! Going back again soon. The taste was delicious!!!
Excellent food and service
Simple, family type restaurant. Friendly people and nice Thai menu. Nothing fancy or flashy, just homestyle Thai food. Will visit again.
Their food was extremely tasty. The service was awesome as well. Its definitely our favorite spot to eat. You won't be disappointed.
The manager and waiter were kind enough to accommodate vegan requests.
We had drunken Noodles and panang curry
Both tasted amazing.
Excellent food, and just the right amount.
I had a lunch special with shrimp. Will definitely be returning 😌.
Thank you!
The food was amazing 🤩 100% recommended
Was recommended this place by a customer at work. Walked in asked what the waitress liked, she said the pad Thai. I ordered it with chicken. The dish was cooked well and tasty. The only down side was the lack of heat. I wasn't offered any different spice levels like I usually am at other restaurants. This dish had 0 heat. Might go back and try again and ask if they can make it spicy.
Even when these folks are super busy, they are friendly and giving 110%. The traditional Thai Basil dish is on point and Thai spicy is perfect level of heat IMO. The gentleman that runs the front also recognizes you when you’ve been in more than once and is very friendly. Hope they stick around for a long time.
Delicious. Only bad thing was we went on a busy night and they were short staffed so it took a long time to place our order and get our food. The meal was really good though.
Best pad thai in Tucson.
Slower service but decent food
The wait time for food, and the bill, and to pay it was unacceptable. I was there 90 minutes, total. It was not busy. I had a party of 4, we were seated just after a party of 2. Our order was taken quickly. And that ends the good experience. People seated after us were getting food. Nothing we ordered was out of the ordinary. After pointedly glaring at any of the three staff we found, several times, as they didn’t come to the table…. Our waitress told us the kitchen was preparing our meal. We’ve been waiting about an hour…. The food was excellent. The prices are good. Whatever was going on with our tag or the kitchen is costing them a repeat customer.
food is decent. the decor is sad & dusty. i asked for a mango & sticky rice only if it was ripe and it wasnt
There was a scene in Ratatouille where the man bites into the food and is taken back to his childhood - well that was me with the fried rice. Nostalgic.
Love
Stopped in for a bite to eat while traveling. Tried the spring rolls and the pad Thai. Food was good but not excellent. The spring rolls were mostly shredded ice burg lettuce. The pad Thai noodles lacked flavor and were too soggy. Not a fan
Best Thai food in Tucson.
Inconsistent. On slow nights the food is usually fantastic. But on busy nights you can expect to wait, occasionally get orders for pickup mixed up (happened 2x), and occasionally get food thats just not that good. Don’t know if they have different cooks or they just get overwhelmed when it’s busy and miss things (like critical ingredients). All that said they are still better than the other Thai restaurant in the area. 5 stars on some nights and 1 star on others. Overall 3 stars.
Delicious!
Best pad thai in Tucson. Always friendly and super fast takeout.
Some of the BEST Thai food i have ever eaten. The food was very authentic and flavourful. Not to mention that the service was excellent. Overall a must visit, if you like thai food :)
Best Thai iced tea in Tucson.
They have various chili/hot sauces/peppers. I've been here before and really liked the food today amd the other times as well. I had #41 with tofu and egg rolls
Everything we had was excellent. Panang curry, Thai fried rice, pad Thai.
Amazing Tom Kha Kai. Long standing Thai place close to my house and had never tried it. Disappointed I waited so long to try! Will definitely be going back for my Thai food cravings.
Friendly service and amazing curry!
This place needs a facelift and a little work on the food. Not bad, just not great. Makes me miss Thai China. They have a chance to stand out. I may try again, but I’m not in a rush to do so.
Good Thai food, and the price was fair. I will definitely come back.
The best Thai food in Tucson (and probably Arizona) hands down! Fresh authentic ingredients, great tasting food, and a friendly attentive staff.
Food is delicious, and I've never had a wait while dining in.
Everything we ordered was delicious, we had the pad Thai, beef noodle soup, vegetable rolls, fried rice, and their Thai tea is the bomb! The ambiance was cozy and the staff were very accommodating.
Thai restaurant with a low-key atmosphere and expansive menu. It hasn't been busy at all for dine-in the two times I've been here, but the food is always fresh and the staff very friendly. This latest visit two of us shared the Tom Yum Koong, the Papaya Salad, and Koong Pad Prig Pao. Each dish was delicious. Serving the soup in a fire pot to keep it hot is a nice touch. These 3 dishes were plenty of food for us. The previous visit I ordered the drunken noodles (Pad Kee Mow), which was very good as well. This dish is served with long, wide rice ribbon noodles and a flavorful sauce.
Food is always awesome! So happy they are open again!
Enjoy the food service is always the same very good like coming here.
Ordered take out. Delicious meals.
One of my favorite Thai restaurants, very good food!
Excellent spot! The panang curry was especially tasty, but everything was fantastic.
Great service and willing to go the extra mile for a small customer request. Delicious food
Tastes just like food I had in Thailand. I love this place, and enjoy it often.
I have been coming to this restaurant for years - probably at least 15-20 years - & every meal has been so delicious. I just voted for them as one of Tucson's Best. You can't go wrong here.
Family owned and run . good food for sure !! Support local ! :)
"The Very Best Thai Cuisine In Tucson" - Cherry
Delicious
Favorite Thai in all of Tucson
My Thai friend brought me. Better than Bangkok Cafe, quite authentic Thai food.
Awesome thai food....
Always delicious, and super friendly. We've been coming here for 7 years or so now, and we've never been disappointed
We were on way back home from a trip visiting family and happened upon this place the food was okay the service was good i didnt like the way the place smelled though
Update: Still 4 stars, but very disappointing Pad Thai. Hardly any peanuts, and the ones that were in it could at best be considered flakes. Needed Peanuts for flavor and texture.
Third thai place ive been to here making it 2 good ones out of 3. Service is prompt. Had the spring rolls, curry chicken skewers, and Pla Chu Chi. Was surprised the spring rolls came with no meat, instead with fried tofu. The sauce was a sweet and spicy one instead of peanut sauce. It however had a better variety of vegetables in it which made it just barely enjoyable. The curry chicken skewers were good though i would have preferred more color and curry flavor. Lastly the Pla Chu Chi was a red curry with Cod fish filets. I loved the curry, loved the cod, am unsure how i feel about the two together. Overall i enjoyed my experience.
Super yummy, quite affordable, and very clean. Also the customer service is very nice. 10/10
Great food with a wonderfully fresh taste. The sweet and sour chicken has a sauce that is NOT the usual thick, over-sweet, syrupy mess; the sweetness comes as much from the carrots as anything else. The green curry is light and crisp. The balance of the five flavors are exquisite, everything you want Thai food to be. The Larp looks like taco filling but it is so much more than that, there is an earthiness that contrasts the spices. Any other restaurant that serves 'lettuce wraps' should be ashamed. Many visits will be necessary to try everything on this extensive menu. And everything is reasonably priced.
Super great food and Thai tea! Definitely recommend!
Kind of average.
Delicious thai. Lots of vegetarian options. They attend to you fairly quickly.; never a very long wait.
Lots of wonderful food.
A place to try.
The food is so good and the service is very friendly. I will be back for sure!
Excellent use of spices, friendly service
It is vey nice.
Pad Thai Chicken was on point. Def would come back next time I'm in town.
Food I delicious, atmosphere is fantastic. I gave it 3 stars because they have no changing table, and only 1 high chair.
I researched and ordered a dish with roast duck pineapple bell peppers and tomatoes in a red curry sauce.but what i got was without the tomatoes in a yellow curry sauce.they said the lady in kitchen FORGOT.
I had the Thai Red Curry and it was amazing! Definitely the best Thai food in Tucson!
I loved the Thai tea. Very good food and the best service you could ask for!
Excellent, authentic food
My wife lived in Thailand for over five years, and I lived in Japan for 2. If you are looking for authentic, savory Thai food, this is the place. Good portions, good price, and incredible taste. Not the fanciest environment, but I rounded up my 4.5 star rating.
