It is better to go to the other Thai restaurant in town called Thai natural spices restaurant because this one is a dud.

I would give the food a zero if I could. The dishes we ordered were Pad Gra Prow and Ginger Chicken. They were more of a soup than a stir-fry. The flavor was strange, and the basil appeared to be dried and broken. I understand that this is a tourist-oriented establishment, but how is this supposed to be considered Thai cuisine? This is not a place I would recommend. I am Thai and I know how Thai food should taste like. If you are hungry, you would be better off visiting McDonald's.

What matters a lot for people after a long drive is finding a restaurant that provides comfort and helps relieve exhaustion from traveling. Tara Thai did just that for us. We enjoyed almost all of their dishes and our waiter was kind all throughout. Giving a tip for the first time during our trip didn’t feel like an obligation.

Closed…we drove 30 minutes to find that they are closed for remodeling, update on the google would have been helpful. :(

I ate here two days ago and almost an hour later I looked like the photos below. I have eaten here numerous times and have had the same thing. This was the only thing I ate that day so I am 100% sure it was something in the food. I ended up going to the ER because my hands and eyes swelled up quite a bit over night. I went In to speak to the restaurant and the young man wouldn’t even look me in the eyes and said maybe I have an allergy? You think? He acted as if nothing was wrong and could not wait to have me leave. I’ve never had such a poor experience in a restaurant, ever! I waited to speak to someone but I got nobody to hear my complaint! I only want to know what was in the food!?!?

Excellent food choices, soft ambiance, attentive service.

Ate lunch here and the food was excellent. Ordered Crispy Wontons for an appetizer and Seafood fried rice (medium spicy) for the main, with a Thai Iced Tea to drink. All delicious. Highly recommend!

If you're looking for spicy food this is the spot. Must try their Spicy Tofu dish and Panang curry. It was delicious. They have good vegetarian menu options.

The flavors were pretty good. I got duck in my dish and it tasted old. They didn't give enough rice with our meals. It wasn't a terrible experience, but it was one of the worst thai restaurants I've been. to

The food was pretty good, however the people running the front room was chaos. They needed at least one more person serving to balance the chaos and long wait. We ordered at 7:30pm and didn’t get our food until 9pm

I ordered food for to go but the service took 2.30 hours. This was really insane the service. I didn’t see any of the restaurant in my life took this much time to serve the food. I knew this was tourist place. They should hire more chefs and service people in the heavy tourist season especially Christmas season. I completely disappointed this service. I don’t recommend this place. Better look at the other restaurants.

Our meal was satisfactory, but we were unexpectedly charged a 15% “gratitude charge” without any prior communication. Despite our party size being four, the menu explicitly states that this charge is applied to parties larger than five. We did not thoroughly examine our receipt and only discovered that our tip was added in addition to the gratitude charge.

Food is Ok, but it’s overpriced. Hidden fees and extra charges were applied on my order.

Not recommended. Not professional and don’t trust this establishment. Placed a large order (+$300) at 3:30pm for a 7:00pm delivery, ended up being over an hour late. Their attitude was they we are the ones with the problem. Unprofessional business paradigm caused quite the mess for me and my guests. Beware!

The food is very good, but the service is poor. It took over an hour for us to get our meal after being seated. It took another 20 minutes to get our check after the meal. They appear to prioritize take out customers over people dining at the restaurant.

0 stars if I could. Family of 4, 2 kids and 2 adults. Came in after a hike at 6pm. Waited to be seated for about 30 mins. The server said our table was ready. Didn't even guide us to our seat. We went to the corner and just guessed which one was supposedly our table. Sat down. Water was never served or any menus brought over. I had to go to the front to get my own menus. We picked our items, waited for another 40 mins. We saw the server come near time to time, but never gave us any attention to bring us any water or take our order. During the time we waited, we've seen many other customers who were seated leave without food. We should have left earlier, but we gave them the benefit of the doubt. Anyway, they finally brought us water, but didn't take our order. At that point I'm pissed. It's 8pm, kids are hungry the day before Thanksgiving, we need to get something to eat before everything closes. So we left and here I am leaving this review at another restaurant nearby. Avoid at all costs.

I really wanted this rating to be a strong positive review but I can’t let it go, I have to say I was very disappointed. I really enjoy a good curry dish but the Pad Prik King, which is supposed to be a drier red curry dish with stir fried green beans and other vegetables plus chicken was served in a red curry broth! The frozen green beans and carrots were boiled, hard and crunchy and the 3 small shreds of chicken had absolutely no flavor! It was a total shame and I can’t believe they even tried to push this off as a meal worth $15, it was an absolute disappointment. The Pho was okay, the broth was tasty but again only 3 thin slices of protein, just not a good value for $18. The woman seated next to us was disappointed with her meal as well. On the plus side, the server was great, he worked super hard and was a nice guy. But I can’t recommend this place, I hope this review helps them to get better it’s not meant to chase business away but they need to reevaluate and make some changes.

Fresh food. Service was OK. Bubble tea was not great.

Prices are around 14-16 a plate, with smalli portions. They used to have a lot more food with each dish but the portions have gotten smaller. I love this place and have been here several times over the past 10 years but after my experience. with the portions in comparison to the price it makes me not want to come back. Not sure if business has been slow or a new owner came in but it wasn't the same it used to be.

We really wanted to like this place since it's so close to our home but no luck. The portion sizes are way too small for the price, nothing tasted Thai at all (we ordered 6 different dishes) and instead were flavorless, greasy, and tasted of old rancid oil (yuck). I gave one star because at least we didn't get food poisoning. Needless to say we won't be back.

I want to give an honest review of this restaurant. The food was not overly expensive but lacked sustenance. The spicy rice with chicken had a couple small pieces. The server was friendly but it took way too long to just get water. I would say they are understaffed and you need at least 2 hours to eat. I did order the Pad See ew with similar results. The food really had no flavor. Putting chili powder on noodles really isn't Thai. More could be done to improve the recipes.

We tried to eat at Tara Thai Restaurant, but the service was so bad we ended up leaving. We came in and were greeted quickly. We were offered our choice of tables. A good start:) We received water after sitting at our table for a few minutes. After waiting five or so minutes for menus, and trying to catch the attention of someone, we asked the busgirl for menus. After waiting another few minutes I walked to the cash register and grabbed two menus. We picked what we wanted and then tried to get the attention of someone again. We managed to get the attention of the busgirl and asked for the waiter. Nothing again happened so we left. Total time in the restaurant was maybe 20 minutes. What a disaster.

This has got to be the dirtiest restaurant in Sedona. Ordered pad Thai with shrimp and the noodles were so tough you couldn’t even chew them. My wife’s Hawaiian delight was in edible and she got sick from the two bites she took. Service was equally as terrible. Not going back.

Food took twice as long as I was told almost 45 minutes with no updates. Spicy wasn’t spicy at all, food appeared watery and was overpriced. $35 for two poorly made dishes.

Highly recommended! The food was bursting with flavor, offered excellent value, and the service was wonderful, all in a pleasant atmosphere. The hostess was exceptionally accommodating and professional.

Great place to go after hiking! I thought the food was really good, perfect after hiking in the cold weather. My friends and I ordered 3 main dishes and 2 apps and enjoyed them. Service was slow but it’s only one waitress, so people need to be more patient. It was busy so… expect that the service will be slow. Saw a couple people be rude to the waitress bc they were impatient, which is immature and unnecessary.

Delicious food, great portion sizes, and extremely flavourful! We ordered the Tom yum, pad Thai, beef teriyaki, and boat noodles. All were devoured with not a crumb left! The place was extremely busy and staff honestly looked like they were ready to drop off the earth but service was still okay. It took forever to get our food but it was worth it!

Just finished eating my takeout order and I have no choice but to immediately review it. It was THAT GOOD. The yellow curry was excellent but the real hero here was the steamed fish. It was served in one of the most delicious broths I have ever had in my life. The fish was fresh and buttery and the veggies were so tender but not overcooked at all. Everywhere in Sedona is overpriced and I think Tara’s Thai might be the best bang for your buck in the whole town! Highly recommend!

They were super busy during Thanksgiving being probably one of the only places open but they helped everyone who came in with a smile. What time was a little long just because of the holiday but the staff didn't make a single mistake with our order for 4! The food was amazing and the portions were huge! Definitely a good place to get some Thai food holiday or not! Would definitely recommend the Thai iced coffee, super strong!!! 😁👍

Very good Thai food. I ordered the Tom ka gai soup, pad see ew and mango with sticky rice. Everything was amazing. I was initially hesitant about ordering the pad see ew because so many thai restaurants seem to have trouble getting it right these days. They nailed it. The .pad see ew was packed with flavor without being spicy, I will definitely be back.

We ordered around 8 dishes- they were all bad. Service is slow and the place is crowded. All of our food came out in spurts so half the table was done eating while the other half was waiting. Will not go back or recommend. Ordered my meal with beef and it came with chicken instead. Kept it so that I didn't have to wait again (chicken is good protein after hiking). Food was okay, but needed a little spice so I asked for the spice tray. First, they only had two spices not four like most places. Second, look at the top spice lid and spoon. Did not use any spice in fear of getting sick because of what I saw. My wife's food was okay but bland.

Nice place to grab Thai Food. Very small, looks family owned, yet very busy. The soups were all great and the Pad Thai was okay. The Thai Iced Tea was also pretty good. Service was as fast as it can be and the staff was friendly. If you’re considering going, I highly recommend the soups!

I had a wonderful green curry. Lots of vegetables and spices.

This was a surprise for us. We love Thai food and have trouble finding good Thai cuisine at many places. But not in Sedona. We started with the Chicken Toast appetizer. This was a gem. We loved it. It was so crispy and juicy. My wife had the Tom Yum Gai soup. It arrived at the table hot and delicious without being too spicy. I'm sure they'll kick it up if desired. I had the Nam Sod salad. It was delicious. The dressing was killer. The entire restaurant was being served by a single server which impacted the service level negatively. But the young man was busy, yet responded to requests quickly. I'll definitely go back should I make it back to Sedona.

I enjoyed dinner here on a Sunday evening. The Pad Thai with tofu was delicious. The tofu was cooked to perfection and the medium spice was spot on. I thoroughly enjoyed my food as did the rest of my party.

Stopped there for lunch during our last visit to Sedona, the overall food really flavorful. the lunch special salmon curry was super tasty. Tom yum soup, yellow chicken curry, shrimp fried rice and Thai tea were the other dishes we ordered and everything was surprisingly very good. Service was slow even though only 2 other tables were occupied around 2pm, so be prepared to spend some time there but I would recommend this place if you are craving for quality Thai food.

Delicious! this used to be one of my favorite spots when I worked near by, we still support the owners by going to the newer location closer to where we live. Garlic chicken is always good and the Thai tea is amazing. We also love the Pad Woon Sen and the Chicken Noodle dish.

One of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. Service was so slow and unfriendly. Our appetizers never came out. When we asked for the check and to have the food we never received removed they said they couldn’t do that because it was now ready (after all entrees were eaten) and we would have to pay for it and take it to go. They served me old green peppers in my curry. It was brown in several places and had sunken spots. As a result I could not eat it because who knows how old the rest of the ingredients are. They did nothing to fix it. Don’t eat here.

Our family is from Houston Texas, we definitely know Asian food. We are Vietnamese. If you are Thai, I definitely know you would give an even harsher review then me. The food was not very good. The flavor of every dish that we ordered were all off. The only reason why I gave them 2 stars instead of one is because I’ll give them credit for trying. The majority of people who eat here and give this place high ratings are non-Asian reviewers. I know there are some non-Asian people who know what really good authentic Thai food should taste like. The Pad Kee Mao tasted soooo weirdly off. The Tom Yum Guong was definitely not done right. The only thing that tasted slightly ok was the Pad Thai…and even the taste of that was slightly off. If you have no idea what amazing authentic Thai food taste like, then by all means because it wouldn’t matter if I told you it doesn’t taste right. However, I would NOT suggest this place for good Thai food.

Great little Thai place is Sedona. The food is good and the prices match the food. My only complaint is that it is really tight and small and the tablecloths under the glass could use a washing.

Great original Thai food.

This is a great place. Their food was flavorful, we were a group of 6, ordered so many and everything tasted good. Their fried rice options are nice, definitely worth a try but the quantity of the fried rice is small.

This has to be one of my favorite places to eat in the village of oak Creek! Must try the mango stick you rice!

I loved it, good team work when it got busy and I enjoyed the food and beer suggestion.
I'll be back again throughout my short visit.

First impression is Restaurant needs cleaning, server wearing dirty sweatpants, and the menus are old.

The curry was mostly thin liquid with fried tofu tasting like cheap or uncleaned fryer oil. Another dish had beautifully julienned bell peppers accompanied by loads of onion and old basil in a pool of oily sauce. Looked disgusting and tasted mediocre.

When the food came out we immediately found a long black hair fried into the tofu sitting on top of the curry in plain sight. Attentive Cook and server would have seen it.

One year ago had a bad experience at this restaurant and now I remember why I won’t go back.

The food was ok for Thai original right me , but for American people they might like it !

We have been to Sedona multiple times but this was the first time we had lunch at this restaurant. We ordered Veg Fried Rice and Yellow Curry. Both items were delicious.
We will definitely visit this restaurant again next time.

Nice Local Thai Restaurant. The food was good, as was the service. The waiter was friendly and helpful. The dishes made with ginger are especially good. I had the duck with cabbage, which was very good.For dessert, my girlfriend and I enjoyed the Fried Bananna with Coconut Ice cream - very decadent.

Always love this place, the food is so good! The only problem, which I'm sure isn't constant, was they were out of all their desserts, and the waiter didn't seem to know at all in advance. The store had just opened to be fair, but my friend ordered a dessert, was told they didn't have it, ordered the next option, etc. The waiter went back 3 times, and each time had to come back and tell her they were out. It was kinda funny, but maybe communicating if anything is off the menu in advance would save some people from disappointment in the future

Please skip the place. It was excellent 3 years ago. If you know Thai food don't go there. I haven't eaten so horrible food in years

Me and my mom came here for lunch while on vacation in Sedona. It was very busy and it took time to get our menus and order, which was understandable as the restaurant was quite full. We ordered the summer rolls and papaya salad to start, and both were excellent! We got the vegan coconut soup, and it was so salty that my mom and I couldn’t finish it. We also got the vegan pad thai which was oily and bland. We asked for everything to be made spicy, and to our surprise, all of our dishes were very mild. I was disappointed with the soup and main we ordered, as the appetizers we got were great. I suggest getting the summer rolls and papaya salad if you dine here, and be prepared for a wait if you come in at lunch!

When your rice is a few days old at the Thai restaurant, you know there is snow thing wrong with the food.

All noodle dish, larb, even spring rolls so poorly executed. I would not recommend ever.

If you’re someone who really enjoys Thai food, don’t eat here. I’m a big fan of Thai Cuisine and this was by far the most disappointing place I’ve been to. I’m only giving two stars because the kid that took and served our orders was nice and the owner I’m assuming came out to infer about our experience.

Although I couldn’t tell them the whole thing might need a revamp, that’s how I felt. I ordered the Yellow Curry and Pad See Ew, lemonade and Thai Iced Tea. The curry was very watered down and the flavor wasn’t as savory as expected. The Latter was nothing special either. Even the lemonade tasted like lemon water! Luckily, the Thai Iced tea was amazing, and was the only consistent thing I could see.

Maybe if you’re just hungry after a Sedona hike, or you cared less about the food quality, this would be fine.

I mean no harm from this, just an honest review. In fact my first ever review on a restaurant. If the owners are reading this, please work on the food quality. Try and match the genuine authenticity of Thai cuisine that I’m used to.

Ordered the pad thai, pad see ew, and pad kee mao. It was quite bland - definitely not sour, sweet and savory like it’s supposed to be.

I’m not sure what the other reviewers ate here, and maybe I went on a bad day, but I would totally not recommend going here.

I’m giving it two stars since the Thai Iced Tea was decent.
