My husband and I were so impressed with drinks, food, atmosphere, service. Definitely amazing💕

Diner Review №2

So I’m rating it one star because it is IMPOSSIBLE to get a hold of these people! I’ve been wanting to make a reservation but left a message and in the recorded message it says they’ll call back the next business day to confirm reservation and that never happened so I called and couldn’t get through because it kept saying user is busy. And then I finally got through and it said memory is full I needed an access code? Like that’s ridiculous! Shame I can’t rate the damn food because getting a reservation is impossible. Seriously use OpenTable or SOMETHING because that’s ridiculous

Update: I managed to go and it’s very delicious! The parking is atrocious and would definitely recommend ubering or parking across the street and walking. The portions are a little on the small side. I went with two other people and we ‘family’ style ls it and ordered 4 dishes. I would’ve still been hungry if we didn’t order a special individually

Diner Review №3

This is my most favorite restaurant in phoenix! The food is top notch . You will love whatever you order from the menu. We have tried quite a few items . The noodles , Peek Gai Tod (chicken wings are our must haves ). I had the crab noodles with candied pork this last time and that was great as well . Once you walk in the service is friendly and great .

My only note for improvement for the restaurant is to improve their tricky reservation process. Its the only thing that takes away from an otherwise amazing experience.

Diner Review №5

Everything was exceptional. Expect a wait but you can hang in a really fun wine bar nearby while you do. Food, service, everything was exceptional. Try the son in law egg!

Diner Review №6

The soup noodles were good but the crab fried rice was really subpar to any from really good Thai restaurants in other cities—the onions and garlic were undercooked.

Diner Review №7

This is one of my favorite places in Arizona! I take everyone here because it is that outstanding.

Diner Review №8

Cute thai restaurant with solid dishes. The shumai dumplings were a but under seasoned but very tender. The tempura mushrooms were awesome and noodles were solid

Diner Review №9

Cute yummy Thai spot! Definitely the best atmosphere. Great place to bring someone visiting from out of town. The staff are amazing! The manager was able to accommodate a table for 5 right away which was amazing. Docked a star for extreme difficulty with making a reservation. You can only call and the lines are either busy or the voicemail is full. Also the portions are a bit small in my opinion. I’d definitely recommend the pad Thai, dumplings and wings! The cocktails were also FANTASTIC! I’ll definitely be back

Diner Review №10

Absolutely love this place, very good Thai food. The people are very nice here and it feels kind of hidden and low key. The flavors are so good and unique but just make sure you're careful with the spice.

Diner Review №11

My favorite in all of Phoenix

Diner Review №12

Might be the best thai i have had in Phoenix, have to go back to chanpen and see haha. Great customer service, nice venue as well.

Diner Review №13

Hi, no one is picking up the phone. I am trying to update a reservation since this morning. Could someone pick up? Thanks (happy to delete this review after I get some help)

The food was authentic and reminded me of Thailand. Our server was excellent. Anyone looking for real Thai food should definitely come here!

Diner Review №17

They deserve 11/5 ⭐️. My experience with them was amazing! My fiancé and I had a date on Valentines and he took me there. They were all packed so they told us to wait for an hour and we could checkout the neighbor’s bar. They would call the bar and the bar would let us know if it’s our turn. So we went to the bar and waited. Omg the bar is really cute! The beers were good and we played battleship board game. It was really fun lol. The bartender told us it’s our turn after like 30 min instead of an hour. Our game didn’t end yet lol. So we finished our game and went back to the restaurant. We ordered 3 dishes from the menu and they were all great! I like the foods, the atmosphere, the people. They gave my fiancé and I a very nice experience! Highly recommend it!

Diner Review №18

Diner Review №19

Always amazing. The vibe, the food, the drinks, the service, the music, the lights.

It’s small and super popular so expect to wait.

Diner Review №20

Diner Review №21

Good vibes here and great Thai street food. Pork dumplings were so good we immediately ordered more. Panang curry, crab fried rice
and Pad Thai with chicken and fresh shrimp were all a hit. Reservations recommended, but if can't get one you can pregame at the Rewined bar around the corner and the bartender will let you know when your table is ready. We only waited 45 minutes and had delicious IPAs at both... 👏🏼💪🏼✊🏼🍻😋

Diner Review №29

amazing every time!! every dish is delicious and flavorful. great drinks too. one of the best Thai restaurants in AZ!

Diner Review №30

Glai Baan is a hidden gem! My wife and I celebrated my promotion here, and it was a fantastic experience. The vibe is cozy, authentic, and transports you straight to the streets of Thailand. The menu focuses on Isan-inspired street food, which means bold, spicy, and shareable dishes that pack incredible flavors.

The staff was super knowledgeable and gave us great recommendations—we loved everything we tried. Definitely make reservations because seating is limited, and it’s a popular spot for a reason.

Parking was fine during the week, but weekends might be trickier with how busy it gets. Overall, Glai Baan is a must-visit for anyone who loves Thai food or is looking for an unforgettable dining experience.

Diner Review №31

Diner Review №32

Cute little place. I think it's lovely and the flavor was nice. Not my type of place, but cute date night. Reservations highly recommended. Uber or Lyft on the weekends, there is no parking anywhere around

Comfortable atmosphere with tasteful food. Every bite reveals levels of flavors combined with craft cocktails that do not disappoint! Super cute place for a date or solo lunch.

Diner Review №40

Eaten a lot of food and been to a lot of places but I’ve never had better food combinations in my life than here. Mussels, steak salad, and the dumplings are a must. Mussels and the steak might be two of the best dishes I’ve ever had in my entire life. I saw a complaint from a gentleman that said it wasn’t “traditional Thai” but frankly I couldn’t care less the food was some of the best I’ve ever had. Hard to find good food in Arizona but this place blows me away everytime.

Diner Review №41

The dumplings are to die for! I shared a couple of other dishes and they were good, but the dumplings I could eat all day everyday! 😍😍

Diner Review №42

If you hate Phoenix then a trip to Glai Baan will help change your mind. Super-welcoming staff, amazing food and fun atmosphere. It's a real treasure

Diner Review №43

Best Thai in Arizona

Diner Review №44

Words cannot express the gratitude for the experience, conversations and soul cleansing food. Bamboo, Thunder, Shane. World class.

Diner Review №45

HANDS DOWN best Thai food outside of Thailand itself. The flavors are absolutely perfect, service so friendly, and the vibes are always on point! We love this place!!

Diner Review №46

The best Thai food! It’s such a gem, we are hoping to visit Phoenix again just so we can come back to this place. All the food was delish opus, but the eggplant salad (special) was the highlight

Diner Review №47

The pork dumplings were phenomenal, stopped here on a cross country drive based on the reviews and this place entirely lived up to the hype.

Diner Review №48

Can't get enough of this place. I'd eat their dumplings morning, noon, and night if I could. Their flavors are so well balanced, no matter what you order. Perfect food done perfectly.

Diner Review №49

Best Thai food experience in Phoenix.

Diner Review №50

Great Food and atmosphere!
You never go wrong with any dish, everything taste Amazing!

Diner Review №51

Food is pretty good but it’s hard to get a reservation and there’s a LONG wait if you try walkin

Diner Review №52

Glai Baan is definitely the best Thai restaurant in the Phoenix area in my opinion. They offer many street-style Thai dishes including ones from Northern Thai. I really enjoy coming here and every time it’s a treat to my palate. Definitely get the pork skewers and the beef salad (Nua num tok).

Diner Review №53

Diner Review №54

Diner Review №55

The food is amazing but the last couple of times I went service was terrible and it took over an hour to get our food. By the time we got our food we were all so hungry we didn’t enjoy it. Pretty sure they forgot to put in our order and they didn’t acknowledge it. The manager just said they were working on it and it was almost out. After that the server seemed to ignore us the rest of the time which was weird.

Diner Review №56

Diner Review №57

Really cool restaurant with great service and food!! Pad kra pao was so delicious!!

Diner Review №58

762194I was there for the reviews and drove for two hours, only to be surprised that the food lacked authentic Thai flavors. For any Thai person or someone from a southeast asian country, this would definitely not satisfy your taste buds. All I could taste was overwhelming salt, and I felt like I might have a case of CA right afterward. I was really excited to try the food, so I got in line well before opening time, but I ended up leaving just five minutes after tasting it. The papaya salad was nothing more than shredded papaya with fish sauce--not the sweet-salty spice it's supposed to have. The Tom Yum was even more disappointing; all I could taste was salt, and I had it taken away immediately after the first bite. I had high hopes for the Pad Thai, but that was another letdown. While the shrimp were fresh, the Pad Thai itself was burnt and watery. I felt embarrassed bringing my friend along, even though they tried their best to eat as much as they could for the money spent.
The server was sweet and nice, but unfortunately, the food just didn't worth the price or the effort.

Diner Review №59

Toss was our server and he deserves a lot of praise! Super informative and graceful while working with us and what we wanted. If you are open to trying everything, give him a go and ask him for dealers choice on drinks, you won't regret! Thanks for making date night a memorable one Toss!

Diner Review №60

Absolutely amazing experience, we did not have reservations, but they got us in. It was so delicious. We ate family style, we tried the fried mushrooms, the salted crab papaya salad, the wings, curry, the minced chicken, and the drunken noodles. Everything was so amazing…. The cocktails were beautiful and delicious…. it was my son’s birthday, they gave him a complementary dessert and a candle. Everything was perfect. It’s a little chilly and the ambience was so perfect, they had heaters and blankets. We are very comfortable.

Diner Review №61

The food was really amazing came here for my wife's birthday the employees are very very friendly the food tasted very fresh and had a lot of flavor. Make sure you make a reservation if you plan on coming here

Diner Review №62

Hands down THE best Thai food I have ever eaten. My wife ordered the Pad Thai and I ordered the wings. I don't even like Pad Thai and I finished my wife's plate.

Diner Review №63

Best meal we’ve had in Phoenix/Scottsdale. Lives up to the hype

Diner Review №64

I have had Glai Baan every time I come to Phoenix and it has always been great! I like that you can go to the neighbouring wine bar for a drink if there is a wait too. Highly recommend if you are in town.

Diner Review №65

I’ll give this restaurant the benefit of the doubt—it might’ve just been a bad day—but waiting 45 minutes for an appetizer and a full hour for the main courses is unacceptable. This isn’t a fine dining establishment, after all. When we asked about the delay, we only got a “sorry, there’s a catering order.”

As vegetarians, the experience was even worse. Every dish we ordered had shrimp, and there was an odd, fishy taste throughout. Either the cooks were rushing the orders, or they simply don’t handle shrimp dishes well. Overall, it wasn’t worth the wait.

Also, don’t go with children; very tight and hard to move around.

Diner Review №66

Not an enjoyable experience. Waiter was very nice and the ambience is relaxed but the mackerel fried rice was salty/heavy and the other dishes did not taste well enough to par up with the price of the meal.

Diner Review №67

This little spot might not look like much from the outside, but wow - Glai Baan has the best Thai food you'll find in Arizona! The staff is super friendly, and the food is always on point. Everything tastes amazing and you can tell they use really fresh ingredients. You've gotta try the crab or mackerel fried rice. And if you're looking to have some fun, grab a Phuket bucket with M-150!

Diner Review №68

One of my favorite place to dine! Great food and wonderful friendly people. Dan, Bamboo and Cassidy are my favorite people there.

Diner Review №69

Went here with a group of 4, reserved a month out. Worth the hype! Unique plates, playful flavors, memorable. I can’t handle spicy food at all and I loved it. Had a vegetarian at the table who also found a great dish. Recommend for all.

Diner Review №70

Diner Review №71

This place is worth the hype and reviews. We had the pad thai, kapro gai Kai Dao, moo ping and khanom jeeb. The minced chicken was amazing with the smoky sauce, the pad thai just the right sweet and nutty and charred. We paired this with the temple T and Laab sided cocktails which were the perfect pairing. Overall the vibe was cozy and pretty with the cozy blankets to warm you in the outdoor seating....a second trip is definitely warranted here.

Diner Review №72

The place is nice, the food is good, really tasty. If you want to eat something flavorful and you like a restaurant that has a good atmosphere this is it. The best Thai food I’ve ever eaten and the people treats you like every other restaurant supposed to.

Diner Review №73

Had such a nice time here for my birthday dinner. The place was so cool, the food was great, and everyone was welcoming and wonderful

Diner Review №78

Best Thai food ever!

Diner Review №79

We had a fantastic dinner and our server, Cassidy was stellar! She gave us delicious suggestions and we loved everything! Fresh and seasoned to perfection. We sat inside this time and the vibe was cool. The outside patio is nice too.

Diner Review №81

Oh my gosh, what a amazing little gem. The atmosphere is so fun. The service is terrific, and the food is delicious. Hands down my favorite Thai restaurant.

Diner Review №82

Amazing food. Everything was outstanding. Thai hot isn't that hot

Diner Review №83

Sooo glood

Diner Review №84

OMG. Yum. Glad I got to try while visiting. Will be back again when I come back to phoenix.

Cool little spot and food it SO tasty.

I got:
Dumplings.
Eggplant salad (a special)
Panang Curry
Kanom custard (loved the soft bread to dip in the custard… unexpected treat)

Curry was fire. Both apps were amazing too.

I wanted to try everything!!

Go there. Highly recommend.

(But probably right when they open as it gets BUSY)

Oh and Thai tea for me. Cocktails looked worthwhile too. But tea hit the spot 😋

Diner Review №85

Great food great atmosphere. Wait staff was out of this. The food was absolutely Amazing.. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT ❗❗❗❗

Diner Review №86

You would be hard pressed to find a restaurant in the US that could deliver such massive thai flavors in every dish like this place does. My palate was blown away. The cocktails were delicious too. This is a must-visit place while in Phoenix. Wow.

Diner Review №87

Great atmosphere and service. We ordered spicy food and expected typical Thai spicy The meal was adequate but definitely not spicy We were disappointed

Diner Review №88

If I could leave 10 stars I would.
This is the only Thai restaurant in Phoenix you need to put on your list - and if you think you don’t like Thai food, come here. If you don’t know if you like Thai food, come here. If you don’t think you want Thai food, come here anyway.
Nice people.
Insane flavors.
Genuine hospitality.

Diner Review №89

Excellent! We had driven by this place for years and said we needed to try it out. Finally made reservations and we were not disappointed! The service was top notch and the food... FABULOUS! Definitely recommend! We will be back!

Diner Review №90

Diner Review №91

-Parking is a mess but get over it; I promise it will be worth it. Park on Mulberry and walk over.
-Staff was attentive and friendly from start to finish.
-Dumplings were the best I’ve ever had in my life.
-Pad Thai was delicious (added crispy pork belly and it did not disappoint.) Only thing I’d do differently is get medium instead of mild on the spice level. Mild is the way to go if you want no spice, but I was trying to play it safe not knowing what their spice levels were like.
-Didn’t mind waiting for our food because the atmosphere was excellent and every dish coming out of the kitchen was so beautiful and fun to watch go by.
-Only reason I’d consider not recommending this place is because I selfishly don’t want more people to know about how great of a restaurant it is.

What we ordered:

Yum woon sen GF
Kanom jeeb
Tom yum special limited time seafood version soup GF
Pad Kee Mao
Son in law eggs

Such a great spot I can see why there was a line outside before it opened for there 15 minutes early and already a line on a Saturday ! We got aloooot and all of it was great nothing bad I have to say we got there special seafood Tom yum they had going on and it was sooo good they put alot of seafood in it too for how small it was , and the dumplings literally are the best thing they have there got two servings of it couldn’t stop ! So tender and juicy , the glass noodle dish was good tho we thought there be more noodles seemed a bit small but overall prices are great ! We did spend a lot haha but we wanted to try aloof things , for five dishes and five drinks split between two people for about $150 you have to try the food here really good spices and get the son in law eggs sooooo goood

Diner Review №101

Amazing restaurant. We would give 6/5 for atmosphere if it we could. I had the best pad thai I've ever had, and the mango sticky rice we had for dessert was incredible. We will be coming again. Thank you Glai Baan!

Diner Review №104

By far my favorite restaurant in Phoenix, the service, food, and ambience is impeccable. Wait can be a little long but the team works hard to get you seated and well taken care of.

Diner Review №105

Amazing, tasty, clean Thai food! Place is packed and lively

Diner Review №106

One of the best authentic Thai food I've ever tried.

Diner Review №107

The parking is terrible be prepared to park on a side street. The staff are very kind and helpful, the decor is lovely. The food was unremarkable, I have had better elsewhere. I was disappointed with all the hype about how fantastic the food was... 🫤

Diner Review №108

One of my new favorite restaurants that I have ever been to!! The food was super authentic and all of the employees seemed like they really loved to work there. Very impressed with the atmosphere they had going on.

Take your girl out here!!! Will not disappoint.

Diner Review №109

In town visiting some fam and they told me this was the dinner spot. We got 3 apps (dumplings, chicken wings, and a steak salad of sorts) that were all excellent. Then the panang curry hit the table... I don't remember the last time I had a meal as fantastic, flavorful, and filling. I live halfway across the country and will make an effort to come back here every time I visit. You gotta try this place!

Diner Review №112

Have been to this place a numerous times Dan always greets his guests with a great smile and tries to accommodate. Diner Review №116

Outstanding Thai food, very fresh and authentic. Best I've had in Arizona by far.

Diner Review №117

Diner Review №118

This is the best Thai restaurant I've been to outside of Thailand. Eating on the outdoor patio in the evening made me feel like I was back in Chiang Mai at a night market. The food is spectacular every time and they always have unique, deep cut specials that you'll never see at other Thai places. And the drinks are as good as the food, if not better. They just have everything going right at this place, which is why it's always packed. Make sure to get a reservation or try to go in the late afternoon right when they open up the patio, otherwise you'll be waiting. It's worth it though. And try to get a ride if you can because the parking situation is a disaster.

Diner Review №119

Rolled up no res on a whim and Dan (gm?) was amazingly accommodating. What a dope little Thai spot. Lots of history in a landmark building in the Phoenix area. Authentic flavor hipstered up (in a great way) without pretense. Rooted in traditional flavors with a modern bent that doesn't get lost in translation. I was flying solo so I couldn't get half the menu to try like I really wanted to so I opted for the specials.

Pomelo Salad with fried shrimp was divine. Citrusy splashes with familiar Thai staples like nam pla, fried garlic, kaffir lime, mint and others danced in perfect harmony in my mouth. A beautiful blend of sweet, tart and umami, chef knows what's up.

The Duck Noodle Soup equally delicious with deep umami and dark soy, hints of ginger, five spice, palm sugar?, tender baby bok choy lending vegetal green bitterness. Pops of celery shoots teased an anise flavor which melded beautifully with the complementary five spice from the duck (braised?). Coriander and green onion to round it out. Ugh, mouth watering.

Bar cocktails looked amazing, and Dan gave me a little tipple of a walnut liqueur to finish the perfect dinner off. If you're anywhere remotely close to Glai Baan, put it in your list to visit or you'll miss out, really. 🙏

Diner Review №120

Best thai food in Phoenix.

Diner Review №121

Great food just some odd service quirks like not being able to turn down pounding music volume or split checks by order

Diner Review №122

Unfortunately overrated. The Laab cocktail stood out as well as the dumplings, but the noodles, soup, and tempura mushrooms were nothing special which you would expect them to be for the cost and glowing reviews. Not bad by any stretch, and a cool ambiance, but I would not classify it as a great Thai place. We went to Lom Wong and thought it was spectacular and significantly better.

Diner Review №123

We make a habit of looking for good Thai food wherever we go and is the best I’ve had in the US. They have a small dining space, so make reservations. The staff was enthusiastic and attentive. They have fun and unique cocktails which were all great. The dumplings, pad thai, and red curry were delicious. Highly recommend for date night or if you are visiting Phoenix.

I’ve heard great things about Glai Baan from my friends but it was my first time tonight with family for my birthday dinner. The service was exceptional! I felt so welcomed. We heavily relied on our server for recommendations and everything we had was fantastic! If you’re looking to try something unique and tasty AF go here!

Diner Review №135

Diner Review №136

Went here for dinner on a Friday night for my wife's birthday. We completely missed the front door because it's mostly hidden by vegetation which almost gave this place a speakeasy vibe. Got there just after 5 pm but was told it would be a 1 hr 20 min wait due to the outside patio not opening until 7. We were told we could wait next door at a bar, but after noticing my wife was pregnant and hearing we were there for her birthday, the host found us a table and seated us immediately.

We went to Thailand last year and this food is very authentic to what we had in Thailand. About as authentic as I've ever had in the US and we go to a lot of Thai restaurants. Not a large menu but I like that because they can focus more on the dishes they do have. Cocktail menu was very unique.

A little noisy inside for how small it is but the atmosphere was nice. Staff was great, food was great, drinks were great. Definitely recommend this place if you've never been. Decently priced as well.

Diner Review №137

This is our favorite date night spot! So cute inside and the patio is charming. The food is consistently amazing! And the drinks are just too food. Best of all the service is fantastic!

You need to get there before noon to get a table...small venue but the food was AMAZING. Will ABSOLUTELY return. I don't say that much about restaurants but the food and service was great. The prices were great. 2 entrees, 2 cocktails and tip were about $79...for lunch.

Diner Review №141

Great food and atmosphere love this place

Diner Review №142

From the moment I walked into this restaurant, I was blown away by the incredible ambiance. The decor is stylish, yet cozy, creating the perfect atmosphere for an unforgettable dining experience.

The service was impeccable—attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. Every staff member made sure we were well taken care of, without being overbearing. They truly went above and beyond to make the night special.

And the food... Wow! Every dish was a masterpiece, bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. But the highlight of the evening was the cocktail I had called "Laab Sided." It was hands down the best cocktail I’ve ever tasted—perfectly balanced, refreshing, and unique. I can’t stop thinking about it!

Overall, this restaurant exceeded all of my expectations. Whether you're looking for a romantic dinner or a night out with friends, this is the place to go. Highly recommend!

Diner Review №143

Such a cute place. Perfect date spot. The outside was closed and too hot but in the fall and winter it looks like it would be so nice to be out there.

Really authentic food. Friendly staff right when you walk in. Kind of a hidden entrance for us which was fun.

Loved everything we got!

Diner Review №144

Diner Review №147

Everything about this restaurant was amazing! From the service, to the atmosphere, to the food is 5 stars! My partner and I visited from out of state for his birthday. The staff was extremely accommodating and fit us in right away due to a reservation that didn’t show up *we got lucky!*. The Panang curry was the best we’ve ever had! And the pork skewers tasted just how they would in Thailand. Food was authentic, the vibes were lively, a must try in Arizona. 💯🔥 p.s. our waiter is the plug. Thanks for recommending us to check out Old Town Scottsdale ✌️

Diner Review №148

So happy to have found this Thai restaurant! Mr was craving noodles and was very satisfied with his chicken noodle dish. I had Tom Kha with chicken. I think next time I'll try it with veggies and tofu 😋
Great staff and atmosphere, very clean.
I only knocked off a star because the Tom Kha was incredibly salty. Not the end of the world and I could probably ask if the kitchen could dial it back next time. Will definitely return.

Diner Review №149

What a fantastic spot. If you are looking for some of the best Thai food in the valley this is the stop you need to make.

The food was incredibly flavorful, nothing was overly spicy, and the portions though small, were filling. The Curry was packed with flavor as you let it sit the notes of coconut and mint came out. The Pad Thai was impressive as you could enjoy the combination of flavors that made it an easy eat. We will be back to try other items on the menu.

The vibe was hip to say the least, if you want to come sit in a quiet environment to hear the birds, the dinner rush probably isn’t for you. But the music was great and not overly loud, the small venue created obvious noise but not enough to drown out your conversations.

We celebrated our anniversary here and didn’t get any drinks. Our waiter created mock-tails for us to celebrate on the house. They went above and beyond.

Diner Review №153

One of the best places to eat in Arizona. Amazing atmosphere. Everyone is happy and the service is incredible. May be a long wait, but worth it.

Diner Review №154

The food is good. But waiting for one hour in a 130db environment is just ludicrous. Overall, don't go there unless you have nothing to do and willing to spend 25 dollar on a child portion meal.

Diner Review №155

we got lucky and were able to get a table by walking in. the food was delicious and atmosphere is great!

Diner Review №156

Glai Baan exceeded all of my expectations. From the second I entered, the host was welcoming and was quick to greet me and provide me with recommendations and the specials. Despite a busy evening, I was quickly seated and all of the staff was kind, friendly, and attentive. From the drinks to the appetizers to the main courses and dessert, Glai Baan is by far some of the best Thai food I’ve ever experienced. Worth every penny and more. I can’t wait to go back! Highly recommend!

Absolutely phenomenal. I have been wanting to eat here for years but live too far away and when I was in town the wait would be long. Let me tell you, worth the wait. They close down for 5 weeks in the summer so the chefs and staff can go back to Thai land and spend time with family and continue to experience genuine Thai flavors. How cool is that?! Worth the wait. Every dish was good. The drinks are fun and refreshing. I will be going back!

Diner Review №158

It was tasty. Great drink with rice and onion. I will be back

Nice neighborhood bar with a specialized hook that’s trendy and well implemented. Excellent broad selection of beverages, beers, wines, ciders, meads, seltzers you name it. Board and trivia games. Unique product mix perfect for niche consumer market with great selection for less specialized consumers.

Never have I dined in a Thai restaurant where I wanted to stay and continue eating and drinking, perpetually. That is the charm of Glai Baan. Food was spectacular-everything was delicious, presented in a sinple way, and left you wanting more. The papaya salad with pork belly was delicious, drinks were great, dessert out of this world. The dessert was a fondue type with bread and a divine coconut concoction. The dumplings were amazing. The review is making me hungry again! Please go and aupport this restaurant. We went for a late lunch/early dinner and got there at 3:30 and tables were available.

One of the most incredible, unique dining experiences in the Arcadia area - everything we tried was not only skillfully crafted and bursting with flavor but also beautifully presented. We tried several cocktails and shared an assortment of small plates, with mango sticky rice for dessert, but can't wait to return and try their noodle & rice dishes as well. Just a note that they are extremely popular but it is an intimate space; lunch is first come, first serve and we arrived 15 minutes before they opened on a hot July day and there was already a line forming. Go early, be prepared to wait, and enjoy the experience!

Diner Review №162

Very great food, has great flavor and I loved everything we ordered down to the mango sticky rice which was superb. The steamed pork dumplings had great flavor. I had some type of special that had crab and pork belly it was just awesome great complex new flavors. The staff here is also awesome and totally a family owned restaurant vibe.

I was born and raised in SE Asia and this is hands down the best Thai food I've had in the US. Great service and ambiance.

Diner Review №171

One of tonight's specials was green curry. I love spicy, so the dish was absolutely amazing. My partner got grilled chicken from the apps as his entre, and they added a side of white rice. We will definitely be back. Make sure to make a reservation!

Well I finally got in, you will need a reservation and you can only call it in! Let me say, best Thai I have ever had! I highly recommend you get here! From the drinks to the flavors bursting from the dishes, finally a restaurant you can justify paying for a good meal and great drinks!

Diner Review №174

Phenomenal Thai food! Great atmosphere in this tiny place. I feel old saying this but the music was loud and made it hard to converse with my family.

Diner Review №175

Visited from Dallas and this spot is a must for Thai North Eastern dishes. Food was exceptional, the atmosphere was electric and friendly. The owner was very accommodating and the music perfectly set the tone/vibe

Diner Review №176

Great spot with super vibe and delicious food. Not cheap but worth it. We are so glad to have Glai Baan in our neighborhood. Hard to get reservations, but sometimes we go early and sit at bar for dinner or get food to go.

Diner Review №177

Very accommodating for vegan requests. Unique drink menu. Exceptional food. Quaint atmosphere with darling patio; takes you out of the city.

It’s expensive for how small the portions are. Not worth it plus it’s uncomfortable in there because there is no AC!

Diner Review №182

Great food. Great service. True Thai street food.

Diner Review №183

La comida es muy sabrosa y sirven rápido.

Diner Review №184

Excellent service and really really good food! I will definitely be coming back. The kanom jeeb and mackerel fried rice were both delicious and the cocktails were excellent, especially their Singapore sling.

Everything is perfect!

Update: Superb. Unique flavors but well executed. Great great restaurant…

Excellent Thai food. It gets busy, so best to plan ahead. We are lucky to have them in the neighborhood.

Diner Review №187

My husband and I finally came in today for the first time... and it was AMAZZZINNGG! I had been hearing sooo many good things about this restaurant,, and it did not disappoint.

We tried the pork dumplings, crab fried rice, papaya salad, and the pad kee mao. Everything was beautiful, delicious, tasty, and perfectly spiced. Definitely THE best thai restaurant in arizona. Hands down.

Service was the best! Our server Chinda was wonderful and explained the menu in detail (since we were newbies). We had other people check up on our table... everyone was so sweet and welcoming .

Can't wait to be back to try other things on the menu!

Phenomenal

Diner Review №191

Ordered takeout from here twice since it’s always so packed and loud inside. The first time I got the mackerel fried rice. It was okay. Yesterday I had their pad thai and it was the worst one I have tasted. It had no flavor and the chicken was flavorless and dry as well. A more authentic Thai place close to there is Taste of Thai and they give bigger portions with more flavor.

Located just south of the Biltmore neighborhood at 24th St and Osborn in Phoenix, Glai Baan is a "Very Thai" kitchen that brings the vibrant flavors of Thailand's street food and snacks to Arizona. Specializing in dishes from the Isan region, known for its spicy cuisine, Glai Baan emphasizes local sourcing and MSG-free cooking. Our meal began with a trio of expertly crafted cocktails: the "Grub Ma" with pandan, gin, butterfly pea flower, lime, and rosemary; the "Roselle" with blanco tequila, lychee, hibiscus grenadine, sour cherry, citrus, and lime leaf; and the "Oliang" with fernet, AZ single malt, coconut cold-brew, dark chocolate, pandan, and chartreuse. Each drink was a perfect balance of flavors and innovation. For our meal, we indulged in the "Kapro Gai Kai Dao," a spicy stir-fry of minced chicken with onion, garlic, chili, Thai basil, and a fried egg over rice, and the rich "Panang Curry" with braised beef, roasted pepper, bamboo shoot, and Thai basil. Every dish was flawlessly seasoned, showcasing the authentic essence of Thai cuisine. Glai Baan has quickly become one of our favorite dining spots, and we will undoubtedly return. Reservations are recommended well in advance due to its popularity, but the patio is a charming alternative if you're willing to wait.

Our party of four did order almost every item on their entries.

Wow, Glai Baan, you are absolutely amazing! Nick and I came into town to go to Fan Fusion this weekend and my amazing Project Centrl buddy Ashley said you were THE restaurant to visit.

You.Did.Not.Dissapoint!

With Nick coming into PHX later we squeaked in at late 8:40ish and you kindly allowed us to be seated and served 20 minutes before closing. Thank you for being so gracious and kind to allow that. We’ve both worked in food service in our life and know there are times when last minute guests are not appreciated.
After being seated in your quaint outdoor patio we were introduced to Chinda and she took amazing care of us. We asked her to select our meals, our drinks, basically choreograph our whole dining experience. Although we both like Thai cuisine, we also understand every eatery has its own strengths and we absolutely were naïve to yours. We did state our level of experience with spice levels for cautionary purposes and with her soon to be catch phrase of “I got you” while smiling, Chinda whisked away to put in our order.

First, I was given a cocktail, called a Sunshower. I *think* it was a brandy-based drink with maybe orange, mango and pineapple juice. It was warm up front and sweet on the back end to me. I thought I was odd, however was a method to the madness.

Our first dish arrived shortly afterward. It was one of the two specials of the night called Eggplant Salad. It was cut rounds of eggplant with seasoned pork, hard boiled egg and shrimp. It had just a hint of heat and was fantastic. After savoring a bite, I was pleasantly surprised how well the cocktail paired with it. The transition of heat level from the food to the initial bite of the cocktail was seamless! Call me beyond impressed.
Next, they brought out the Moo Ping, which I think was some pork skewers and a little dipping sauce. They were rich, with just a little bit of fat to give the melt in your mouth experience. Exquisite.

The second special of the evening, Shrimp with Glass Noodles, was the next feature dish. There were a few other things, scallions I think, inside this pot that was presented to us as well as a little sauce. The food was steaming and so we gingerly removed the tail from the shrimp, twirled up some noodles and with the shrimp took a dip of the sauce. There was a tremendous flavor expansion through my tastebuds. Incredible. I don’t know if the ingredients are seasonal; this should be on the main menu.

They brought out the next two dishes together, the Chinese Broccoli dish and Panang Curry. We had the Chinese Broccoli first which had small cuts of meat and some leafy stuff on rice and hard-boiled egg. It was really good, solid, tasty, just good.
This, I believe, showed the genius of Chinda. Everything presented, especially the previous dish, all lead up to the Panang Curry. Oh.My.Gosh. This was heaven. I could have just eaten 4 servings of this and been in a food coma, being rolled out the restaurant and died. Chinda, like a conductor at a symphony, increased the cadence and varied the tempo to lead up to this food crescendo! I really am at a loss for words for this simplistic meat (beef?), sauce with mint and rice. If anyone visits Glai Baan this is the one dish I’d swear they should lovingly, tenderly, savagely consume.

We were then offered desert and with a little room left the only answer was “Yes, Please!” Chinda, in her seemingly omnipotent powers at this point, smirked again with “I got you.”

A few minutes later we were presented with Kanom Custard. Warm bread chunks and a dipping sauce that was kind of like the basis of bread pudding, with a touch of coconut curry in it. It was spectacular & filling. I was not thinking I would be full leaving this establishment before desert. Unfortunately, I failed and left one bread chunk left untouched. There simply no room left in my previously cavernous stomach.

We paid the bill, the gentleman who welcomed us in earlier thanked us for coming as we walked out the front door.

Glai Baan this was truly a wonderful experience, you are a treasure, Kob Khun ka!

The best Thai in Phoenix. Wow.

Diner Review №199

Authentic street Thai food, reminds me of Bangkok!

Diner Review №200

The food is 7/10 namtok is too sweet. Portion size is TERRIBLE. Namtok was 4 small 1/4 bite size pieces. My chihuahua eats 2 times of that. I would get more value for money if I got a return flight to Bangkok just for dinner.
