It was a perfect level of spice and flavor for pad Thai and we also loved the sweet and sour chicken. As an added bonus the staff was super fast and so friendly. This is one of those perfect locally owned places that deserves repeat visits!

Random find for me. Wanted some Thai food so searched and this highly rated place could be passed up. It's located in a regular shopping mall. First impression walking in was all the clutter they have on the counter and behind it. But my over all experience was great. Definitely enjoyed the food. I wanted my noodles hot. She recommended me to go mid range because it's already really hot. It wasn't spicy at all. So if u want a kick get the level 5. Sent it! I don't agree o. The price but it's just how it is these days. I'll definitely be back.

Our new favorite Thai place! Their Coconut Soup is the best we’ve had. Panang curry and cashew chicken were great. Mango was not in season so for dessert we got the sticky rice with Thai custard and really liked it. Very yummy!!

Super glad I tried this place. It had the most delicious items, but warning it's got extra spices and herbs most places don't do.
Crab puffs were filled with onions and couple other things. Golden tofu was so perfectly fried, I loved it. I got lunch pad Thai with med spicy, I could use a pinch more spiciness but still delicious. And as well, panang curry with medium spiciness. It was very good, had lemongrass and was spicy.

Always delicious, hot and mild for me regarding spicy. They accommodate your "spicy" levels. Owner is always there and works hard to serve me when I go with friends. I go here when I want Thai. It's always consistent.

We finally went based on high recommendation from friends. So sorry we waited so long to go!! It's actually our favorite place now! Absolutely FANTASTIC restaurant!! Nice little Thai Restaurant. Impressed that they actually have This Spice and not just American Spice. We all ordered 4 out of 5 for spicy and it was great. 5 would have been good, but too spicy to taste the wonderful flavors. Mango Sticky Rice!!!! Yum! Missed this from my trip to Thailand.

We have been coming here for years. Lovely family owned small business. We dine in as well as take out. The food is awsome and with out any MSG. We have tried many Thai restaurants and by far this is our favorite place to eat. Will be coming here far many more years

It was my wife and I’s first time a couple weeks back.. I believe it’s the best green curry I have ever had and she agreed. We can’t wait to return!

Finally, good curry in the east valley again 🥲 the veggies in the yellow tofu curry were all crinkle cut and cooked to perfection. Tasted like when I used to work at a Thai restaurant in Seattle.

My review is predicated on the attitude of a rather rude maitre d and this restaurant's "posted" vs "actual" hours of operation. The hours posted state 8:30 pm as closing. My dining companion and I arrived at 7:55. We were met with a sing-songy "sorry, we can't serve you because we close in a half hour"

WTH?

...Restaurant policy SHOULD BE one of SEATING CUSTOMERS up through posted closing time! (and certainly not one of "flipping shade").

Don't drive far....you may waste your time, gas, and leave hungry!

The drunken noodle is amazing. The “That hot” spicy level is really good. Spicy but not going to make the food inedible. We also got green curry and it was delicious as well. I ordered papaya salad because it’s my favorite dish in Thailand and it’s hit or miss when ordered in the states but I think this restaurant does it really well.

Actually 4.5 stars. It's very good but not amazing. Smallish portions n not that spicy, flavorful tho. If they were in Tucson they'd rule.

I enjoyed my eggplant with pork 😋 My husband's grilled shrimp salad would have been excellent if the shrimp were actually grilled n the spicy dressing was less salty. Plenty of shrimp tho.

Quite a few tables at lunch on Friday mostly old white people. We'd eat there again if we're in the neighborhood. It's a tiny little place tucked away in a shopping center. Easy to miss

We went there looking at the good reviews and we were not disappointed. Attentive service, clean place and fabulous food. We had vegetable soup which was pretty good. Also golden tofu , prink king and yellow curry. Loved all of it , everything was freshly made and tasty. If you like Thai food , I would recommend

Honestly the BEST Thai food I've had in my life. The pad Thai was delicious and the mango sticky rice is to die for. The server was super attentive and fast and the food was made super quick as well. 10/10 would recommend, I'm definitely gonna be back in the future

Last week was the second time I visited Thai Plates. It has been a couple of years. In fact I had forgotten I had history with this place. The food was ordinary. However the service/owner is my challenge. They do not service alcohol. Which is OK. I do prefer having a beer or glass of wine with my dinner. The first time I asked the server/owner why. He reported there was some sort of drug rehab facility in the area and he could not get a license because of that. Upon my visit last week, realizing I had been there before, I asked the server/owner if he ever got a license? He replied he could not for he had underage family members that worked there. Which is it????? I feel he was untruthful at least one of the times. Also, my dining companion was not satisfied with his Won Tons. He mentioned it to the server/owner, His reply was his wife makes them and walked off. There is customer service ;) Next the server/owner was not pleasant at all. I do not recall him ever cracking a smile. Oddly, the place was filled. He even turned down people coming in the door 45 minutes before closing time!?!??!

Food was great, very tasty. Staff was polite and attentive. I would definitely recommend if you are looking for some authentic tasting Thai dishes, we had the Chicken larb, yellow curry noodles, chicken pad Thai, Thai fried rice. I can’t say one bad thing about any of the dishes except I had to unbutton my pants 😂

They were happy to modify my order to be vegan and the food was very good (tasty). I ordered dine in and the dining area was pleasant and clean. All good to me. I would definitely go back. It's right across the the street from the Banner Baywood hospital.

Some of the best Thai food we have ever had! We tried the eggplant dish and a curry - both with tofu, and it was so delicious and full of veggies! Also the spice level was perfection. We will definitely be back. Really grateful we found this special gem.

Yellow curry with chicken. Vegetables and curry tasted good. Good spice level. But when I tasted the chicken I wanted to puke. It was so spoiled I couldn’t finish the meal. Only other time I’ve had chicken like that is when someone thawed out old frozen chicken in water. Not sure what is up with their chicken.

I have been getting take out from here for about a year now. I absolutely love this restaurant. The service is always fabulous, the owners and their family are so so kind and pleasant to deal with. The food is always fresh and hot and consistently delicious.

Amazing pad thai

Nothing wrong here, just didn't wow me, taken off my go to list.

We visited for dinner, not too busy. My wife and I tried the Pad Thai with shrimp. Mmmm, delicious. The proprietor, Tommy, offered suggestions to our friend regarding gluten-free options. The service was excellent, water glasses refilled without us having to ask. Nice place, good atmosphere.

Thai Plates Cuisine has the BEST Pad Thai in Arizona! Also, the coconut soup (#12, Tom Ka Gai) is to die for. I would suggest getting the large size because you will want more and more! Everything we have ordered has been top shelf. We have never been disappointed in any dish yet and we have eaten here many times.

Fresh, my scale of perfect spiciness (#3 out of 5), delicious appetizer. Hosts always very attentive, willing to please, polite & fast ! Today I tried spring rolls filled with fresh tasty lettuce, shrimp, cucumber. A main course of Spicy Asparagus which is becoming a favorite ! Only one thing is wish more white rice as I always order extra, but not sure if charged, lol

My friend ordered green curry with shrimp She found 2 pieces. When we called they they said there 6 pieces and they don't lie When we ate in we actually enjoyed this restaurant. It would be okay if you count the shrimp 🙂

This place is amazing. The food is fresh and delicious every time. Always ready exactly on time. I love the spring rolls. My kid loves the orange chicken and fried rice. Best food in the East valley..

We moved here from LA about 7 months ago and we have been looking for a good Thai restaurant and this is definitely it. The only problem is it's close to 20 miles from our house. We used to have a go to place in the San Fernando Valley and this place is every bit as good. My wife loves Pad Woon Sen/Pork and this is the only place on the East side of town I've found it. It was very good. I got Pad See Ew and the amount of meat and broccoli was perfect. They also use Americanized broccoli which I prefer so it was all good. I'll have to make another trip here unless I can find something in QC or STV that's as good.

This place has amazing food from the Thai tea, to the Pad Thai to the delicious sticky rice.
It's my new 1st choice of restaurants.

For all these people complaining about a small business having to close for staffing issues, you guys need Jesus! We are in the middle of a pandemic still, stop being selfish. If you want a place that is open 24/7 go to McDonald’s. If you would have thought about someone other than yourself, you could have thought about calling the restaurant first and from that you would have learned that they are closed for what ever day. This place is ran by a husband and wife who are they every day, quite being so sensitive about them some times being closed. Customer service workers are not here to be your emotional support, again stop being sensitive. This place is the only place we go for the best tasting taiwanese cuisine. 5 stars!

For health reasons, I have to drink distilled water with added trace minerals. I brought in my glass water bottle and was immediately told I can’t have outside food or drink. It was clearly water and I said I needed to bring my own for health reasons. They said, “we have water” and repeated it three times as I was explaining that I needed my own due to health problems. They eventually said it was fine, but it was so incredibly awkward at this point. We left before ordering. If I was bringing in a six pack of beer, I’d understand, but not letting me bring in my own bottle of water was really extreme, unnecessary, and discriminatory toward those with dietary restrictions.

Drove across town to try Thai Plates Cuisine. It is a small place nestled in a strip mall. Dinning area was neat, unassuming, and comfortable. Thursday night and at 90% capacity. Our party ordered crab puffs and Coconut Chicken soup for starters. Presentation of the crab puffs was very nice. The puffs were cooked perfectly and were very tasty. Came with fresh grated carrots and purple cabbage. The highlight was the dipping sauce...obviously made in house and delicious, not generic red sweet and sour garbage. Coconut chicken soup was spot on and had the perfect balance of broth and contents. Delicious flavor. Pad Thai with shrimp and chicken was amazing...shrimp was cooked perfectly and the flavor! Yummy! Panang curry with beef, again was well prepared and delicious. Overall, one of the better Thai establishments I've been to across the country let alone Phoenix metro. Worth the trip. Get everything Thai hot for best enjoyment!

Excellent chicken satay. Chicken chow mein is flavorful and fresh. My brother likes their phad thai. We've eaten in and service was excellent. We've also ordered to go and food when ready when we arrived. Prices are reasonable and the food is tasty.

The food is all delicious, and you can choose your spice level. Get the coconut ice cream at the end. It's wonderfully light and tropical, and it cleanses your palate after your flavor explosion meal.
