Massaman curry with pork, hot, $15.99: You can see how I got to the joke at the top of the review now, right? I love me some massaman curry. While lacking peanuts, it was so aromatic and lovely. You can really taste all the bold flavors and the mouthfeel is truly a marvel.

Pad Thai cheese with chicken, medium, $16.99: I ordered this mainly because cheese was involved. Cheese on Pad Thai!?! Color me intrigued! Now that I've had it, I can tell you that it's all for the youngsters and cheese adds nothing to this great dish. You won't be mad though because the Pad Thai itself is good.

Crab fried rice, medium, $21.00: The amount of crab on top shows that Sebastian from Little Mermaid wasn't used but rather Tamatoa from Moana. Phew! As someone who makes pretty good fried rice, I gotta say, this place makes great fried rice. Two thumbs up!

Their spice level is more on the mild side. I need to order all my items at Thai hot next time. I'm both scared and excited just thinking about my next order.

My boyfriend randomly picked this place last week while we were in Tempe, and it was one of the best places he could have picked. Ever since our first visit, I have been thoroughly impressed with the food. The taste is amazing, with every dish I picked—a different one each time we visited (it's been three times so far)—and not once have I been disappointed. I can't even pick a favorite because they were all good. The spice level is to my liking (I love spicy food). The owner is very friendly and accommodating. I definitely recommend this place and definitely plan on coming back! I can't wait until next time.

Some of the tastiest Red Curry we’ve ever had. We’ve had delivery 3 times now and the food quality is consistently 5 stars. It arrives quickly, hot and very well packaged, and Uber Eats’ delivery service was timely and the driver/delivery communicated with us from start to finish. I’d recommend Tara Thai (& Uber Eats) to anyone looking for great Thai Cuisine.

Delicious food but…I want to provide feedback and a suggestion for this restaurant.

When a customer orders different heat leveled with the same dish being ordered by multiple people, they should really mark the container with information on what heat/spicy level each container is.

Again, the food and service were great - it would just be smart if we knew which one was hot, mild, or medium etc.

Appreciate that they are closed to indoor dining and offer takeout only however, they have an obsession with onions and charge a fortune for them even though most won’t want their meal to consist of mostly onions.
Vegetable egg rolls were horrible. They seemed as if they weren’t fully cooked so I baked them hoping that would help but it didn’t.

Fried tofu appetizer was okay. Very fried tofu with a strange sauce with a syrupy consistency.

Thai Basil tofu consisted of a plethora of onions, green peppers and tofu. No sauce or flavor other than some red pepper spice. Really wasn’t happy about half the meal being onions.

Drunken noodle was basically the same as Thai basil tofu but with noodles and carrots added. No flavor, no sauce. Disappointing.

Fried rice was good. Best fried rice I’ve had in Arizona.

Tom Yum soup was really good. It had flavor and spice and wasn’t drowning in onions like the other dishes. Would recommend the soup and fries rice but not the main entrees.

My food came out after about a 5 minute wait and it was cooked to perfection. The perfect amount of spices mixed with wonderful flavors. Service was excellent, food was excellent. I highly recommend Tara Thai 2go if you are looking for authentic Thai flavors.

Nothing more annoying than someone giving you something spicy and doesn't tell you!

Ordered via uber asking for a promotion they have buy 1 get 1 for free, and only arrived one, but i paid extra for this promotion... i complained but still didn't get my order right..

Little family owned restaurant close to my house. Love it, come here for the convenience. Food is tasty but a little too greasy. I’d give it 5 stars if the chef cut back a little bit on the grease but the flavor is good. Come give it a try.

Had Tara Thai for the first time tonight and will most definitely order from here again. I got the chicken chow mein, and my boyfriend got the orange chicken. Next time, I want to try the pineapple Thai fried rice.

Ordered a medium pad thai - but we got a very spicy pad thai. Apart from having to shovel ice down our faces cause of the spice levels - it was hands down one of the best pad thai i have had. Delicious food will be back.

Loved everything about this place. Very kind and patient hosts, great Thai food, and I love that they’re open late. It’s small, but they use the space well and the music was appreciated as well.

This place is, without a doubt, the best Thai I've ever had. Prices were great, quality was great, and other sweet and sour sauce.

The green curry with chicken had vibrant flavor with the most perfectly-balanced aromas, and the consistency was right on the money (I like my curries on the thicker side).

The Pad See Ew sauce was sweet and aromatic, and the vegetables and noodles moist and tender. Very good portion sizes also.

Don't let the tiny, outdated dining area scare you away. This place is the best hole in the wall Thai I've found in all of the Phoenix Metroplex/Valley.

My wife and I wanted Thai food after 9pm, but we found that all Thai places around were closed... only Tara Thai 2go was open.

We decided to dine in instead of ordering.

The place is small, but we got a big surprise with the amazing attention and great taste of their food.

My wife had the green curry and I got the pho. The pho is good, but the green curry is amazing. It has a different taste that we haven't found in another Thai restaurant.

I’d like to premise with the most current bad review on here I’m sure is accurate for them. But also that my experience was much different. I usually only write reviews that are negative in hopes to share my lived experiences and prevent others that have those as well. The people here are obviously nice and don’t speak English very well. They served me with kindness and love. I was in a bad mood when I arrived and the food and service made me feel grateful and humbled. For those who didn’t enjoy what you ordered before, I’m sorry. What I ordered was delicious which was the red curry. ☺️

Best pad Thai I have had in years

The family was sitting down for dinner and we had to wait to be served. We order the pad Thai for $15 thinking it can with meat since the menu didn’t specify otherwise. We were given a total of $20 for the one plate of pad Thai. My fiancé asked why it was so much and they said because the meat cost more. My fiancé said OK we’ll have the pad Thai without the meet them to see how it tastes. It was dry, unflavored and lacked a main ingredient. This place is overpriced and underwhelming. How they have stayed open with these price and quality amaze me. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.

This Thai place is honestly the best Thai restaurant I have ever had in my life. Please go there and try the curry, drunken noodles, or pad Thai. Everything will leave you satisfied I swear to God.

So cool to discover how late they’re open! Especially compared to every other late night food stop. Quick and great service.. restaurant is small but i called and picked up my order.
Massaman Curry is always my go to, they get 10/10 from me! Really liked how broad their *Hot Scale* is, and their Tom Yum soup is great too!

Absolutely delicious! Such a little treat! The owners even gave me a free Thai Iced Tea with my order that was quite tasty! The Pad Thai is wonderful, and I would absolutely recommend this to anyone in the area looking for amazing Thai food. Give them business if you can!!

I order chicken pad thai from here at least twice a month. The curries are also really good and they give you plenty. Right now they're just doing takeout but they do plan on going back to dine-in soon

After years of avoiding this place, I decided to give it a try. I was sadly disappointed. The potstickers were like mini empanadas only they were overcooked and under filled. They looked nothing like the picture on the site or from any restaurant I've been too. The yellow curry wasn't bad but it wasn't great. 4 small cubes of potatoes and carrots with a few slivers of onions. The meal was not worth what I overpaid and I will not return or recommend.

I love this place. It's definitely a staple for my girlfriend and I. Their Tara Thai Special is to die for.

I picked up pad Thai for lunch and it was good but not great. The pad Thai here doesn't have much in it. A little bit of green onions and egg added but nothing else (that might be because it's more American style. The flavor was ok but basic and didn't have any spicy to it.

I only tried the pad Thai so I can't judge Tara Thai completely.

We love this place! Right now we are all obsessed with the Pad See Ew the long flat noodles and the sauce are delicious. The flavors of the food are really good. Not as salty as some other Thai places. The spice runs a bit spicier than we expected at first so we dialed down for ordering.

Flavorless and undercooked food.

Tom yum soup hardly had any flavor and no sweetness whatsoever.
Drunken noodles were not "drunken" they were dry and bland, completely disappointing
Red curry was average, undercooked coconut base.

Greatly enjoyed the seafood soup. The spice blend they use was really enjoyable in the soup, as well as the pad thai and another noodle dish. Fresh, and had a lot of depth, even beyond the spiciness. Looking forward to dropping by when I'm in the area!

Food tasted amazing, and was reasonably priced! Four people and an appetizer and our bill only came to $45. The staff was so kind and helpful, and they even have a special for 1/2 price pad Thai on Tuesdays. I will Definitely be returning, and telling my friends and family about this place 👌🏻
