Unassuming eatery in a shopping center offering a wide range of traditional Thai dishes.
We have been checking out Thai Curry places in the area, and this one is on point! The Curry was absolutely delicious, I really loved the Coconut Mushroom soup, it was by far my favorite! The fresh veggie rolls were top notch, and you get a lot! The prices are below most of the joints in the area for the amount you get. Sides are responsible, we will definitely be regulars here.
This was a great lunch at a fine price. I very much enjoyed the Peanut Sauce. You would do well to stop in to this small business. It also appears they have changed some hours. Look at the window picture but most days are 11 to 3 and 430 to 9. Saturday is 11 to 9. Sunday Closed.
Used to be decent, never great but I think a new chef is there and the food is awful. Tom kha tastes like lemonade, ginger salad dressing was shocking in tasting like balsamic. Dumpling dressing way too sweet. Sorry to see this restaurant losing any Thai authenticity in its food.
I just came through here the other day to grab something really quick on my way home, I ordered Chicken Penang curry, I am so flavor picky and I officially found a new favorite place. Not too salty, not too sweet, not overly thick or thin, the rice was cooked perfectly. The seasoning was on point it looked incredible and smelled amazing. I had intended on splitting it up into three meals, But the first helping was so good I had to go back for seconds. π«Άπ»π₯° Iβll be back soon!
Glad I listened to other reviewers and I agree, get the mango sticky rice, it is so good. The green curry was one of the best curries I've ever had. Perfect level of spiciness. Plenty of food, enough for leftovers the next day. Will definitely be back.
On our way to Angry Crab we saw this place next-door. We decided to scope it out and rummage the menu to consider a later visit. After reading reviews online, we decided to stay. It was clean (I even peeked in the back). The staff was friendly and welcoming. The food was fresh, delicious and very well presented; in spite the fact we ordered 30 minutes before closing. Our waiter actually encouraged us to take our time. I would love to see them add organic produce in the future but I will be back and I definitely recommend.
A tiny restaurant with some good Thai food. We tried the veggie roll; it was a typical spring roll. The rice fritter was so good, it had a sweet cucumber sauce that fit the fried crispy rice. Beef panang curry was tasty. I had it spicy hot, but I could have upped it a bit personally. Tofu pad Thai was super good; med spicy was perfect. The noodles and flavor were excellent.
October: A month late in posting this newest review, yet I am happy to confirm Soda Bun remains a 5-star place to eat.
Their food presentation is still amazing, the food continually comes out with steam rolling off it, and the serving size remains to be large. Everything is well worth the money.
The only item that has changed from my previous visits is the amount of people that were in the restaurant. All previous visits we were the only two or three people dining in. This last visit (late October, Saturday, approximately 4:30), I was flabbergasted at the amount of diners -- when we left there had been a dozen other patrons. Maybe people are becoming less fearful of the whole Covid B.S. but whatever was happening, it was nice to see so many more people enjoying Soda Bun. There were still quite a few people coming in to pick up take out, too.
Soda Bun is great place to enjoy Thai!
May: Still five stars! I had a craving for Thai food yesterday and didn't feel like taking a chance on a new restaurant. Soda Bun has been excellent on our previous visits and yesterday they did not disappoint. Oh my goodness, I fell in love all over again.
Each visit they have never had a large crowd. Heck, I think there have only ever been a couple other customers eating in - but clearly they have a pretty hefty take-out customer base. With this absolutely delicious food, I am not surprised. They young gal who took our order was super nice, too. I think this was our fourth visit and never had we had a bad experience. Soda Bun is totally worth the drive from Laveen.
The rice fritter was a new starter for us and boy was it good. Their edamame is always hot & wonderful, the Thai tea is absolutely delicious, and holy smokes their sticky rice & custard are mouth-watering good. If we had stayed any longer I swear I would have ordered some to go.
The three of us all ordered different meals and every single one was so beautifully presented it was almost a shame to scarf them down. One friend ate all of hers but my sister & I only ate half, knowing we would be getting the sticky rice for dessert. And knowing the leftovers are just as tasty the next day.
Sadly, the leftovers did not make it to the next day. We both got hungry later that evening and ate them! I woke up the next morning depressed, knowing my Panang Beef was G-O-N-E. *giggle*
This family owned and operated restaurant had great service, a nice atmosphere, and amazing authentic Thai food! Went this evening and will definitely be going back!
I just came through here the other day to grab something really quick on my way home, I ordered Chicken Penang curry, I am so flavor picky and I officially found a new favorite place. Awful; the absolute worst Thai food I have ever eaten anywhere. The Panang curry which was reddish in color, tasted like Tobasco sauce, ground chili Chipotle southwest styling, and Tumeric.
In plain comparison-contrast English format writing style, imagine the worst combination of items you could ever cook together, and that is what THIS was....Terrible.
The lettuce wraps whatevers, which were mountains of lettuce in circular cylindrical format, were just lettuce and cabbage rolled up into 2 inch high cylinders. I threw it all out, because nothing will get you past that Southwest-Chipotle-gone-wrong-Thai-taste.
Total waste of $29.00 and a hard lesson learned. :-(
Then, I went to McDonald's just across the street, to wash down the memories, and wash out the awful taste with a large ice cream cone. :-/
I don't leave reviews often, unless something is the absolute best, or absolute worst in class. Decades of eating Thai across this country, this is the first time necessitating a stinging review of "Where NOT to eat, and WHY."
My dinner social groups, the largest in the valley, will know to not go here for our members. We keep records on every restaurant we eat at valley wide. That's #8,000+ of us out there searching and reviewing daily, canvassing for our next outing. Bad news travels fast, and awful food travels faster.
β The owner here is trying to cover for themselves, forgetting, that I am right outside, AND I keep my receipts.
Glad I listened to other reviewers and I agree, get the mango sticky rice, it is so good. The green curry was one of the best curries I've ever had. Perfect level of spiciness. Plenty of food, enough for leftovers the next day. Will definitely be back.
Excellent Thai food, very fast and good prices. The spicy basil with ground chicken is my favorite, or try any of the coconut curries.
This place has no customers service also the website said they're open on Monday but they were closed on Monday. Don't recommend this place
Always great food and staff. Thank you!
The sticky rice was bomb
This was a great lunch at a fine price. I very much enjoyed the Peanut Sauce. You would do well to stop in to this small business. It also appears they have changed some hours. Look at the window picture but most days are 11 to 3 and 430 to 9. Saturday is 11 to 9. Sunday Closed.

I ordered the pad Thai, galee gai, and garlic chicken. The Galee gai and garlic chicken did taste good. However the pad Thai was the worst pad Thai I ever ate. It was very tangy and more oil then food. I aske if they could make something else to replace it she flat out told me no. I would say there was 90% of the food there, so it is not like we ate the whole thing and were trying to just get a good deal.
This is my concern. I have gone there for ages for a very long time for years and I went in there today and got food to go out. The lady that usually served me is not there and the new lady was OK but the food was very bland and Iβve never had bland food there before, it usually the sauce is delicious in this time. It was very bland like they didnβt even put salt in it. Unfortunately I hope they improve because I really liked their food before.
Best pad Thai Iβve ever had. Itβs everything I want pad Thai to be.
Food was exquisite π ambiance was fabulous. Love the photos on the wall. Service staff was friendly as heck, and very attentive. 11/10 will come again.
Life has changed so much in the last 8 yrs! But not Soda Buns green curry, which is a fresh and spicy hug to the soul. β€οΈ Small business, run by a family and the freshest food! Delivery, dine in and take out. Their coconut soup, pad see ew, orange chicken, sticky rice with coconut cream, and dumplings π₯ are my young kids staples there. Mild friends, just ask for no spice! Never disappoints!
The food was great, the servers were polite, and the restaurant was very clean! I loved the creative plating and variety of the dishes. I highly recommend!
We decided to try this place instead of going to Thai Basil. The food was phenomenal and it was all pretty cheap. I usually get extra spicy panang curry, but decided to stick with the regular to see what the spice level was. And it was much spicier than I expected, which was a very welcome surprise. My bf got the pad thai with beef, which was very good. I also got an order of the Tom Kah Gai soup since Iβm getting over a sickness, and it was delicious. Had a very mild spice, with really bright and refreshing flavors. And last we got the mango sticky rice. It was all about $50. We picked it up and it was ready before we got there. The restaurant was very cozy inside with dimmer lighting, giving it a very homey and welcoming atmosphere. We very quickly decided this would become our go-to thai restaurant!!
The vegetable fried rice is the most amazingly prepared meal Iβve had in Arizona. Big juicy cucumbers and carrots float in the perfectly seasoned rice. Everything tastes fresh and delicious. This is now my go to for Thai food.
I almost don't want to review them, because then it will get too busy. Foods great a bit of a hole in the wall, take out portions are good. Everything I have had there has been very flavorful and quick pick up times!
Best Thai food this side of the equator. And the price is right. Also spicy so donβt ask for 5 unless youβre ready for it.
I've been here at least a dozen times with work colleagues, date night with the wife, and with a few buds on different times. I almost always order the Yellow Curry and a couple extra veggie spring rolls. The food is amazing and I can't recall anything i didn't like. Their lunch specials are great if you're looking for a slightly smaller serving. Great options! The service is quite friendly too. I highly recommend it.
Best Thai food I've ever had.
It's been too long since I've gotten here. I love it!
Always a mainstay for me and my Indonesian partner. The food is good and the spice is well mixed along with consistency. Love the fresh roll with beef Penang! I love coming here
Amazing dinner! Great service. Gluten free options clearly marked.
Their sauces were perfection and every dish was beautifully and intricately displayed. It was delicious.
Food is great and the mango sticky rice is the best in town.
I paid $48.69 for the size of a one person maybe 2 portion meal π Go To THAITANIC KITCHEN! Portions are great n food amazing
This is a solid thai place. Their curry isn't the best I've tried, but it is pretty tasty. They have a really good lunch deal, and are always quick. I enjoy coming here for lunch, because it is fast, good, and reliable. Their yellow curry is my favorite.
Tasty
Your website is non functional. I will find another restaurant
Found this place by chance. Not super fancy yet comfortable. Had an amazingly good Tom yum chicken and shrimp soup. I requested thai hot spiciness. π₯. It didn't disappoint at all. Pompt service, and welcoming. Food served reasonably quickly, hot, and with smiles. Definitely willing to go back. ππΏ
Update. Been back twice. Still love it!!
Have had Tom yumand Tom kha ghai soups, and spicy basil Thai fried rice. All excellent IMHO. Now torn between Phoenix and Seattle as to which city has better Thai food. π€
I can say this beef pad thai was delicious & not to sweet just perfect with the flavors. Not used to skinny noodles. Prefer the original thicker pad thai noodles & some cilantro will bring out the flavors even better. The pak se eww tasted horrible. Wasn't enough sauce & noodles tasted dry & they used regular broccoli. Authentic way they should of used Chinese broccoli.
BEST pad Thai. DELICIOUS curry. I love their lunch specials.
I always call ahead and carry out and my meal has been perfect every time. This is a hidden gem!
Now this is a claim but probably the best Pad Thai in Mesa.. The fresh salad rolls are awesome portion size is great they also cut their chicken in to slices obtains the best flavor and the way they cook their tofu is on point this is a diamond in the ruff Thai place I would eat there every day if I could.
We have gotten take out from here fairly often for a little over a year now. It is always very good, not a single complaint yet.
Awesome place. Great food, very consistent with flavor which is why we make this our Thai spot. Amazing staff, very polite, attentive and accurate. Love this place.
Was at my favorit alterations place (5 star alterations) an picked lunch to go.!$10.when i got it home I saw small portion and the chicken was pale and was shaved with a scalal. Barely any. The veggies were good but not much. I have only known basil chicken as fried but my mistake for not noticing. So many better place like Thai Momma near my house.
Best Tai food we've found! Casual dinning in an intimate setting. The dynamite heat level is insane.
Randomly saw this place pop up one day for recommended food. After reading he reviews this place is legit. Great food and pretty good prices. Iβve only had the drunken noodles, beef and broccoli and the red curry but all of them have been insanely good. This place is a gem
Delicious Thai food in a comfortable setting. We ordered the tofu tower, yellow curry, peanut chicken and we loved it.
Food was so good.
We got carry out, 3 orders. All the orders were correct.
The calamari was crispy and a little spicy, pretty much perfect.
The pad Thai was done right....could have used a little more citrus, but the spice level was exactly what I expected.
My daughter's Thai chicken soup was "nice and garlicky " and very much enjoyed.
The staff was courteous and just nice. I will be back.
So glad I found a decent Thai food place so close to home. They get your order ready very quick and the food is quality.

My office ordered lunch and we Tried the fresh Thai rolls which were pretty tasty and the yellow curry which didnβt taste very strong or like any special. The rice was decent. I wasnβt that impressed but my coworker said it was their favorite Thai they have.
Food is good but it's missing something
Thanks for sending my curry over Thailand. It is delic! π€
Update : Definitely as still enjoy the food but prices have gone up AND portions have gone down. I get one or the other but both?
Terrible food, go somewhere else! Jk of course, don't want my fav spot getting too crowded
Service and food is excellent! I recommend the Tofu towers and the shrimp pineapple curry. Great gluten free and vegan options as well :)
Nice place, good food, relaxing atmosphere. Staff very friendly. Not fancy but charming.
Good but it's gotten very expensive
I order delivery an the guy is so nice amazing food I order the same thing 1 to 2 times a week I love this place. Yellow curry an Thai tea best in town!!!π
Closed Sundays but the food is delicious .
I've been coming here for years. The food is very spicy so i normally take it home and add coconut milk or oat milk. But my favorite is the seasonal pumpkin curry.
The pineapple fried rice is to die for. The mango sticky rice, or custard sticky rice are also incredible.
Add a coconut to your order before your meal for a refreshing drink and tasty snack.
If I'm not in the mood for a curry I prefer the eggplant basil meal.
Great food and service everytime.
Delicious Thai food in Mesa. Sit at Tipsy Cactus next door for a beer while you eat.
I almost hesitate to write a review because this place has a bit of the "undiscovered gem" feel.
I'm a huge thai food fan and this is my favorite spot. It has a simple, mom and pop feng shui (if thats a thing) and did I mention that the food is awesome? The drunken noodles, the curry, the pad thai, ALL the appetizers and OMG, the mango sticky rice!!!! all delicious!!!!!!
CONS:
Their website says they have lunch specials but they don't. They seem to cut corners like the canned green beans in the red curry. Small portions for the price. Fast food vibe although it's a "sit down".
PROS:
Good and fast service. Clean.
I really wanted to like this place.
The soup is outstanding. I had the crazy noodle dish and was really impressed with the flavor and portion size.
This place is so amazing and affordable! I got the Som Tum, and the mango with coconut sticky rice and OMG it was so good, definitely will be back and recommend this place to everyone.
I can't believe it took me this long to find this place! I haven't had Thai food this good outside of NYC. Incredibly rich and flavorful. We've ordered in from them twice this week and now we're in here fun a late lunch. The food is 100% consistent and I think this may be my new food obsession in Mesa
One of if not the best Thai food restaurant in the area. Absolutely delicious food and an incredibly friendly staff plus a very cute and intimate setting. Definitely give this place a shot!
I ordered the Work Wok Cashews meal, and not the lunch special because I was very hungry. The food was hot (Temp), fresh and tasty. However, considering the price, I expected more than three shrimp (It was a shrimp and chicken dish). Also, the shrimp still had the tails on them. I know some restaurants leave them on, but I know several that don't. Also, there wasn't very much rice with the meal. The water was good, with no aftertaste, but served in a mason jar type glass. I think it's to give the place atmosphere, but I used the straw provided because I didn't want the challenge of drinking from a mason jar.
The service was good, the place was small but very clean. The table next to me had a couple that was watching a video on their phone. The lady's laugh was more like a high pitched cackle, and extremely loud! So loud, after multiple outbursts I was just about to move to another table, as far away as I could get because she was actually hurting my ears!. I don't blame the restaurant for a patron's actions, I blame the patron. Lucky for me, the video ended and they left, so I got to finish my meal in peace. I also had the fried banana with coconut ice cream.
It's worth going to at least once, but IMHO they are a bit pricey for the amount of food you receive. I've been to better places, and to far worse places.
Best ever, I am In love with that their food π₯Ή thank you for blessing my mouth
The food here is amazing. They have achieved the perfect combination of flavor and spiciness. Have tried green curry and basil fried rice so far and both dishes were delicious. Food is always fresh and piping hot.
Food was great. Recommended by my manicurist.
The service was great and food was fantastic!!
I've been to hundreds of Thai restaurants. The way soda bun does their pad thai is my favorite of them all. More sprouts and cabbage, thinner noodles and toppings. It's a way fresher bite.
Good Thai food, good deals for the lunch specials, and very good mango sticky rice.
Had no idea this place was near the DQ and Safeway. Ordered the Tom Kha soup with shrimp, to go and it is the best I've had.
This a small Mom and Pop Cafe . The food was great l had Drunken noodles with chicken . Only negative thing is. No refills on the soft drinks.
Tasty food
Amazing service and amazing food, iv ate here close to 20 times and the food is always awesome. This is a hidden gem!!
their Chicken Pad Thai is the best around, super authentic and delicious.
Absolutely best Thai food in Arizona! Iβve tried sooo many Thai restaurants out here trying to find one that even came close to the authentic Thai Iβve had in my home state and THIS IS IT. Absolutely so pleased with everything we have tried. My favorite is the Thai fried rice! I get it with chicken and tofu and they even cook the tofu to perfection! Love love love this place
Great servings and price for lunch! Limited seating but it makes it feel comfy and cozy. Donβt underestimate Thai heat!
Fun little place tucked away in a strip mall. I regularly go by for their lunch special and everything I've tried is delicious! (Try the mango sticky rice, they shape the mango slices into a rose and it's very cute.)
I love this place. Some Thai restaurants hold back on the hotness levels, but not this place. The hot is *hot*, and I haven't had the courage to try their Thai Hot. Quick and friendly service, and a really charming atmosphere round out the experience.
Fast and delicious! So thankful I found this hidden gem π
Highly recommend Soda Bun Thai Food! Amazing service and food. A nice place to sit and eat or take it to go. The orange chicken is outstanding!
Small hidden place but dont stop there! The food was simply delicious! So much flavor! Great Thai food.
Love this place, always so delicious, and very kind service.
My first time here. I loved it .β€
Well priced, tasty thai food. Clean restaurant.
Great food , good service π
Great food and great environment. Iβll be coming back soon

So Iβm a fan of asian food and like a good Thai restaurant. This spot hits the mark every time! Iβm a fan of their curry and noodle dishes. Great lunch specials too! Itβs a Mesa staple in my opinion, and a must try in your Thai food rotation.
Hubby and I came here today for lunch, and it's OUTSTANDING, BY FAR THE VERY BEST THAI IN TOWN. VERY CLEAN, FAST, FRIENDLY SERVICE!!! EXCELLENT!!!
Honestly, best Thai food Iβve ever had. Flavorful and delicious. Great range of dishes. The lunch specials are a fantastic deal. Forewarning, the food can be a little spicy, but itβs worth it.
Edit: I have now eaten here quite a few times. Just want to say it has been delicious and consistent every single time.
Our server was so nice and welcoming, and the food was amazing! We started with the Tofu Tower appetizer which was really good! We had the Panang Beef and the Spicy Basil as our main course. Everything was so delicious! We will definitely be back soon π oh, and the mango sticky rice dessert is a must!
Great dinner today with the Pineapple Shrimp Curry, veggie rolls and edamame. I'm in a happy food coma! Must try whether dining in or delivery...pick up. Excellent food and service!
Best fried rice yet for the price π π
It was nicely decorated, and very clean. The menu had a large selection of items. Most everything could be made with all veggies or tofu. I ordered the orange peel with tofu and veggies. The veggies were not over cooked, were very fresh and a nice selection (not just onions and peppers). Good rice, and a little spice. My companions had dishes that were equally as good. My friend, not a fan of Asian cuisine, ate all of his Evil Noodles and raved about it.
Decided to stop in last min while getting Boba and SO glad we did. Got their Pumpkin Special (very spicy) and their crab rolls (don't remember if that's what they are called) but was AMAZING. Will definitely be back.
Place was also clean and girl was friendly.
Tried this place for the first time tonight. We will for sure be back. Vey friendly attentive service. The food was great. I had chicken pad Thai. I got the medium and it was pretty spicy. Just right for my taste. My wife got chicken yellow curry and she really liked it too. Check this place out. We came as a date. Not fancy. Itβs small dining room but they dimmed the lights and had mellow music playing so was really nice experience.
Delicious food... Everything spot on... Best Thai place in the valley....
Chicken Curry freaking delicious π highly recommend π
Our regular Thai food place kind of went off the rails so we decided to try Soda Bun. After ordering three different times over several months, I have been really happy with the food. The spiciness of the food is right on, and we have been really happy with the quality of food and the portion size. Plus, the people are always friendly. We are so glad we found Soda Bun!
Amaaaaaazing! Ordered delivery (Spicy Basil ' Thai Hot, Red Curry - Thai Hot and Dumplings - Extra Crispy) and it was so fresh and delicious! This food was so good that I am writing this review DURING my meal. The delivery was quick and the driver was super friendly. You can tell this food was made with β€.
Delicious! The fresh spring rolls and peanut sauce were great. The Tom yum was also very good, very spicy though but I liked it :). Loved that main courses like orange chicken had the option for orange tofu, my daughter never finishes her meals and she did this time! We will definitely be going back!
I am absolutely addicted to the Thai boba! They have ana amazingly delicious dragon fruit cheese drink that was so full of flavor!! Definitely stop in for some deliciously unique drink's!
We've ordered delivery from here twice and the food was delicious each time! Literally, everything we ordered was fantastic, and the staff were kind and prompt. I highly recommend you give it a try! This is our new favorite Thai restaurant.
Their regular temp is a solid, good spicy. I like things even spicier but was pleasantly surprised! HUGE serving of curries!
We have never been disappointed here. The pad thai is pretty good: a little spicy.
Taste amazing
Most underrated place, delicious food.
This is the most amazing Thai food Iβve ever had! My favorites are the curries! :)
I always order when I get there and they are really quick to get the order out. I get the drunken noodles add steak. I hear the pad thai is pretty good also. Fair prices for exceptional food and service.
Evil noodle dish is not that good. Everything was overcooked, veggies, noodles and chicken was not good. I wish I wouldβve got something else or gone to another place.
First time there and they raised their price from $7 to $8 an entree for their lunch special. This would be fine if the food was good but I was not impressed at all. In fact is probably some of the worst Thai food I've had in Phoenix with flavor and quality. Even the rice was really low grade which a is a pretty bad sign. I will not be going back here because of the quality for the price.
Ok food
Outstanding!
We went on an online recommendation, tried what the gal at the restaurant recommended, and it was fantastic!
Soda Bun is so consistently awesome! The last time I wanted Thai food I decided to try somewhere new & was so disappointed. But it made me love & appreciate Soda Bun even more!!! The service is great & the food is always just as good as the last time you had it! You canβt go wrong with Soda Bun. (& for anyone whoβs curious, Iβm pretty hooked on the Pad Thai but Iβve had bites of friendsβ dishes & itβs always yummy!)
Our favorite Thai food place. The food is always amazing and the people are fantastic.
Me and my GF have been coming here for years. It is hands down the BEST thai food we have ever eaten, and we eat alot of thai. In fact, it's in our top 3 favorite places in all of Arizona. Their curry is to die for. Like true thai style, don't expect it to be light on the spice. I also can't recommend enough their coconut fried rice, extremely delicious! They have a wonderful friendly staff that always makes us feel welcome, somehow they even remember our names, which adds to the touch of the whole experience. Seriously truly remarkable. I hope this place stays open forever.
Just ordered $40 of delivery and the beef was mouldy and stank of fish, called the resturaunt but wouldn't deliver out as far as me (I live 1.4 miles from the resturaunt) so wouldn't offer any other solution. Wouldnt eat any of the food because the beef was clearly bad so obviously cross contamination would be all over the kitchen. So I'm out $40 and still starving and sick to my stomach after smelling that rancid beef.
Best Thai food in the valley outside of Thailand itself(from experience). Never have we had a bad experience with the food or pricing or location. great restaurant
I found long black hair in my Thai rice
My favorite Thai restaurant! Food is great and everyone that works here is super nice!
Awesome place. Get everything extra spicy!!
Some of the best thai food around!
Soda bun wings are delicious (so is everything else)
I specifically said MEDIUM spicy in my order instructions and when I got there again, yet it was still too HOT! Otherwise, very good.
Very friendly and clean. Lots of attention to detail. Only feedback is to add more than 3 shrimp on pad thai when you pay the extra 2 dollars.
Great pad thai! Been here twice and both times it was geat! Definitely recommend
Always love this place when I visit Mesa, until recent couple times they've been having issues on the consistency of their food standard. For example this one simple item, Thai fried rice this couple times the rice always sticky, either put too much water when cooking the rice or they are using hot rice instead of cold rice, Very oily too. I keep giving them chance after another, but I think it's time to give up. I traveled alot and knew most thai restaurant owned by thai owner always serves higher standard thai food than other nationally owned thai restaurants, just sayin.
Not only is Soda Bun the best Thai food in the entire valley, everyone who works there are the the most friendly people. I make it a point to eat there at least once a week. I'd eat there everyday of I could.
The lighting was comfortably dim and the servers were very kind. I ordered the pad Thai, hot, and they meant it! I was pleasantly surprised with the spice and the flavor was amazing. Would recommend to anyone looking to spice things up, or not. The food is just as flavorful for someone not as interested in spicy foods.
Fresh rolls had hair in it, staff was not willing to compromise. Pad Thai was fried with thin rice noodles. Disappointed!
The food is not worth the money, their papaya salad was like a kid size . they charge way too much for it. I would not recommended any of my friend here.

Very solid, affordable and great tasting Thai food. Authentic with very friendly owner and servers.
Great food and service
We've been looking for a great Thai food spot locally and we stumbled upon this place one night. It is tiny. Like 10 tables tiny. But holy cow, the food was incredible. We got the tofu app and potstickers as well as each got a curry dish for dinner. The curries were flavorful and easily adjusted for vegetarian needs with tofu and veggies. We had plenty left over for dinner the next night! Service was great as well! We will definitely be back.
I love the food and eat here regularly. Food is spicy as many others mentioned. I usually ask for spicy but not here...the standard spice is most peoples spicy which is fine just know that going in. My biggest beef with them is the nickel and dime approach to managing the customer experience. Most restaurants who feature rice will either leave extra for the table to share or will gladly get you extra upon request. This restaurant will do so also then add additional charges to the bill. Come on...it is rice which I assume is less than a nickle per serving including labor and overhead at the volume they make it. If you can't afford to give extra rice then add $.10 to all dishes to cover the additional cost. They also added a $1.00 charge for using a credit card before. Just very non customer friendly practices. It isn't about the money as I will gladly pay more for my dish just don't look for opportunities to nickel and dime me as it taints the overall experience
