Some of the BEST Thai food I have ever had. Coming from Hawaii I have experienced plenty of Asian cuisine so, I was a little nervous about how the food would be in Alaska. However, Fairbanks did not disappoint! We went to Nim’s Thai restaurant and it was phenomenal. The chicken satay was packed full of flavor and came with a very tasty sauce. The green curry was delicious and very filling. Great service and even better food. Should definitely swing by if you’re in Fairbanks.

Excellent food and we ended up eating twice from here during our 5 day stay in Alaska.
Soup both Tom Yum and Tom kha was excellent, Drunken noodles veggie was ok, rest of the food was excellent.

Me and some friends when there near closing but they were very friendly and accommodating. The server refilled our water and patiently waited for us! The food was delicious and well seasoned, definitely try something out of your comfort zone here cause you won't (probably) be disappointed!! They allow takeout and meal sharing which is cool, some other restaurants don't 🤷

I am thoroughly surprised as to how good the Thai food is here. As a thai person, I never expected to experience 'authentic' thai food in Fairbanks, especially with certain menus consisting of homemade noodles!

Atmosphere very nice, excellent service. Thai tea was very good. Could definitely tell it was fresh. The fresh rolls were tasty, but a little average and salty. Panang curry tasted a little too much like peanuts, and beef was over cooked. They also used stew meat so it didn't taste quite right. The red curry was very good. And when they say spicy they mean SPICY.

I really appreciated their service when I had a vegetarian diet, they changed the menu items to exactly what I needed and did it in the most delicious way. I’ve been going back for more regularly. I really love their food and service.

Mom and pop restaurant not much to look at, but the food is incredible. We are here visiting Fairbanks and Denali, but this small Thai restaurant shocked us. The pad Thai and especially the NIMS special was deftly prepared by a seasoned chef. This restaurant could more than hold its own with much more expensive restaurants on either the east or west coast. What a find!

We ordered fried rice with Tofu. It is amazing, Tofu is well fried. Overall service is good.

Delicious food, great service! I have eaten at many Thai restaurants all over the country and this is by far one of the best. It even tops my favorite Thai restaurant back home. Definitely make a stop if you're in Fairbanks.

This restaurant has good food! They are located in a strip center with ample parking. We arrived on a Thu night about 8:15 with a party of 8--4 adults and 4 children. The staff (owners?) could not have been more gracious, even though our group ultimately pushed them beyond closing time. Their green curry was easily some of the best I have ever had. The egg rolls were crisp and light. All of the dishes were well-seasoned. They seemed to have a robust to-go business. Give them a try.

Great Thai. They have proper Thai condiments and soups are free of cheap shortcuts like tomatoes and carrots.

I got pad Thai and it was honestly not flavorful at all. The lemon water was delicious though and the service was friendly and very attentive.

Ordered take out there last night. Very friendly. The food was amazing. Best Thai food I’ve had in a long time (we’re from Australia). We had chicken green curry and beef with peanut satay sauce (Param). Both dishes came with steamed rice. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Wonderful food. Red curry asparagus is amazing. Don't ask for Thai Hot unless you mean it. I've been eating and taking folks here for years without a bad meal once.

This place is closed until March. There's no information about it anywhere except a note on the door once you reach the place.

We had a group of 6 so we got to see and taste multiple dishes. The favorite was the yellow curry, pad thai, And the garlic pork was great as well. I ordered the drunken noodles. While the flavor was good. The home made noodle was awful. It was more of a square piece of mush than anything that would resemble a noodle. Had they used the same pad Thai noodles for the drunken noodles it would have been great. 5/6 dishes were great. Stay away from the drunken noodles!

Delicious food!!! We had the pad thai and red curry and were absolutely perfect!

Location is easy to spot, inside needs a little love, and service is pretty good. We ordered drunken noodles, egg roll, and chicken fried rice. I like the taste of drunken noodles, but maybe they should put a bit more noodles in it. Fried rice, according to my husband, has less flavor. Just add soy sauce, and it will be fine. I am disappointed with egg roll. It says ground pork, but when I bit on it, it's all noodles. I can't find ground pork at all! Price was higher compared to other Thai restaurants in Fairbanks. Don't order egg roll if you don't want to waste your money
until they improve their ingredients.

Well the food was good and I loved it. It's worth it when your hungry, especially the woon sen soup. It's delicious and has a whole ton of vegetables in it. Anyway the service was very nice has a good atmosphere.

Mark and his family at Nim's are great, over the past 10 years they have been amazing. They are like family, always kind and happy to catch up, and the service is always prompt and top notch. They really have mastered what they do, and there really is no comparison as far as Thai food goes, although Lemongrass I will admit is pretty good.

We now live in Anchorage, but always make sure to get a couple meals to bring back, It really is that delicious! If you are a local or just visiting, make sure to treat yourself to this little gem of a restaurant!

Great food! Really enjoyed the Lad Nar (chicken) and the Pad See Ew (chicken). We also had the Drunken Noodles (chicken) and it was very flavorful too. We’ll definitely be back!

Chill eating establishment. The yellow curry was melded well. The Nim's special with chicken ($18) had house-made noodles and was a milder version of the drunken noodles, like a normal stir fry. The noodles had a good texture, consistency, and flavor; the chicken was very tough, dry, and overcooked.

The curry noodle soup is amazing! I've also had a wonderful stir-fry with a peanut sauce and broccoli. The staff are nice and the food comes out quickly.

Staff was very kind and helpful, I was craving pho, they recommended Thai beef noodle soup, it was simular to pho but did not have the vietnamese spices that pho has, instead, it tasted like it was seasoned with lemon grass and Chinese 5 spice with a really strong beef broth, im definitely come back for more (:

We came in person and ordered 2 noodle dishes to go. The lady who took our order was really nice, giving us recommendations and water while we were waiting for our food. The food came out in about 10 minutes so it was pretty quick The prices are pretty high and more expensive than California though.

Drunken Noodle With Pork ($18): This is the most popular noodle dish. It was pretty good but not the best I had. It wasn't as umami as I was expecting and it had cauliflower which isn't typical.

Nim's Special With Chicken ($18): This is a lighter version of the drunken noodle but with more random vegetables. The chicken was a bit overcooked and dry. I would stick with the drunken noodles.

Nice place.. the spring rolls were AMAZING!!! even though there was a grumpy guy barking orders at me like "sit" the service was spot on and the place was clean. The food was great even though all I ordered were the spring rolls. The prices weren't too bad either.

I’ve always come here time and time again and it was my first choice too, always had a great time with great food and lots of memories too

Food was so yummy! We got Thai iced tea, fresh rolls, drunken chicken noodles, and pork pad Thai. Flavors were wonderful and sizes filling.

The ramen was delicious. It is hard to do as I have been overseas and have aquired a taste for authentic food. The service was fast and the spiciness was perfect. I will definitely be going back and trying more of the menu, it all sounded and looked so good. Even with a larger group, 7-8 we were served quickly.

Visiting Fairbanks this week. Needed Thai food today! What a find this place was! Think it’s a husband and wife team. She cooks and he is front of house. Food was amazing. Sad we only just found it at the tail end of our trip. We ate it so fast, didn’t even get pictures.

Delicious place for some Green chicken curry.

Yum! I had heard a lot of people talk about how awesome this place was, so I finally made time to get a to-go order for my lunch today. I ordered the NIM noodles, spicy. And guess what? It was ACTUALLY spicy! And yummy! Noodles on the thicker/wider side, which is my preference. I also got a Thai green tea. Great service, very homey vibe in the restaurant.

Wow! Amazing Thai food. In fact, I would say that this is the best Thai I ever had. The store front is your average store front with pictures of food choices taped to the wall. But, though the ambiance might seem humdrum, this is high level Thai food that will make you dream of left over long after you are gone. I wish I could order delivery to Ohio!

Amazing Thai food. Place is owned and run by Nim and Mark (who also works as a waiter and server, some days). Never tasted such Thai food outside of Thailand. We tried fried rice, beef asparagus stir fry, Tom Kha, curries, drunken noodles etc., etc. Noodles are home made! Everything was fabulous. Had a chance to talk to Mark and Nim, after dinner, as they were wrapping things up. Very nice couple. We went back there again on our last day in Fairbanks. The restaurant is not fancy. Sometimes it might seem that Mark is a bit too serious. But believe me, you will enjoy every bit. All the best to the hardworking Alaska folks. Live long and prosper!

Some of the best Thai food I've ever had!

Their noodles were surprisingly soggy and lacking textures. It completely distracted us from the flavor. Noodles had such little body that our wooden chopsticks were ripping them apart just by holding it.

Nims house of Thai. Nice quiet place for dinner date or family. Nims’s has the best homemade noodles, fresh and so special being homemade. Quality and care is taken in all dining at Nims. Owner Nim and Mark take time to say hi and really care for their guests. I truly recommend Nims the best Thai food in Fairbanks. Seafood salad is amazing!!

Very good Thai Food. All the dishes we tried were delicious. The best one was the Tom Yam soup - this is just so delicious. We also tried the Veggie Spring rolls which was good and comes with the sweet sauce. The Drunken noodles is yummy and also the Gang Phak is excellent. Combine this with hot tea on the side and you meal is set.

Ordered veggie fried rice and drunken noodle, asked for no egg and found egg on both... also payed extra for mushrooms I never got

I've been to a few thai places around here and I can say with confidence that Nim's is the best in Fairbanks. The taste of the is very authentic and delicious. A lot of asian restaurants these days have to water down their flavors for white people but not here. I'm half thai so I know what real thai food is supposed to taste like. It's an amazing restaurant I highly recommend it.

The food was so good!

I heard the Thai Iced Tea here is good but when I came in, he seemed shocked that I only wanted to order 1 drink. And then we asked for a receipt and he gave me and my husband a really annoyed and mean facial expression. And just to make things worse, I only had like 4 sips of the Thai Iced Tea and my stomach automatically felt weird and sick-ish. I don't know about the food, but nah don't recommend.

My favorite thai restaurant in Fairbanks! The food is AMAZING! Great location, easy drive from downtown, huge flavor, always courteous, clean. Their fresh spring rolls are addictive! In a good way. Pad thai wonderful, mixed vegetable dish stunning, and curries very flavorful. And their thai iced tea very good. I frequent as often as possible. :)

This was serisously one of the BEST thai dishes I have ever had....and I came from Seattle where we have lots of great Thai food!! Very very impressed. Nice people working there as well. Made me feel welcomed and I can't wait to be back! Thank you :)
