Experience was ok. Food was fresh and hot 10/10. The service 8/10. We feel like we waited a long time for the food to come out and when they did start bring the food out it was one at a time. Overall it was good. The appetizer was the curry dumplings we asked for fried but wasn’t aware that it was pan fried not deep fried. I ordered the general tso’s chicken with white rice my husband got the honey chicken and fried rice and my baby got the shrimp lo mein. She loved her food.

The menu indicated that it was a spicy item, but I found it to be only slightly so (for me, just right). I ordered fried rice which was also very good. The lunch special included an egg roll, which was crispy, hot and yummy.

My wife had the Sechuzuan beef. She enjoyed every tender piece of beef and said the sauce was excellent. She also enjoyed hot green tea with her meal. She noted that it was a delightful tea.

This was our very first visit, but we both agreed that we want to come back!

Asian cuisine is my favorite type of food and beef lomein is my absolute favorite dish to get at an Asian restaurant big or small. The beef part of the dish was fine, but there were so little of them. The noodles were terrible, they smelled of fish and tasted fishy. As an ex server, if a customer doesn't eat their food it's because they are not enjoying it, so please do something about it, thank you for refilling my water though. The sesame chicken is better, go for that if you come here. The fried rice is terribly disappointing.

I recently dined at the Asian Bistro and was thoroughly impressed with both the delicious food and inviting atmosphere. The menu offered a delightful variety of flavors, and the ambiance added to the overall dining experience. Highly recommended for those seeking a tasty and enjoyable meal.

The shrimp fried rice was not good. The rice tasted sweet and it did not taste like fried rice at all and it was half done. The Mongolian beef had no taste to it. The chicken wingettes were small and you only get four. The place I normally order food from closed at 9:30 pm. I will stick to what I know from here on out.

This is me and my daughter’s favorite Asian place in Montgomery! I haven’t ordered a bad thing yet. Last night my daughter brought me Hot and sour soup, egg roll and kung pao shrimp and it was so good as always! We order at least once or twice a month from here. Best Tofu Pad Thai

Portion sizes are horrible for both lunch and dinner options, this is my second time going, I wouldn't complain or even write a review if the chicken wasn't fried so hard I couldn't pick it up with a fork, vegetables had a questionable taste this time. Won't be going again

My boyfriend bought me the chicken w/vegetables with egg drop soup. The soup was the only thing good. The chicken didn't taste right. I'm not sure what sauce they used, but I didn't like it. I don't know how their service was at the time, because I was not there since my BF bought my food. I'm going to rate the food and that's all. I was not satisfied -only the egg drop soup was good.

Okay, hear me out. I lived in China as a teen, my mom taught English there for 5 years. Unfortunately I had to move here from Houston, TX as my hubby works here and this is the worst Chinese food I’ve ever eaten. I only took the chance on this place because Mr. chens is closed Tuesday and I crave mapotofu throughout my pregnancy. I’ve had mapotofu in China, Thailand, Korea and Italy! All over the USA too as I’m a former flight attendant. I literally spit this out. Tasted like dog food. Speaking of dogs, I brought my 7 lb dog who’s a service animal with me to only pick up my order and the lady looked at me like I had two heads. She told me I can’t bring her without even asking if she’s a service animal. I will not be leaving my $4000 service animal in a hot car to pick up food that takes 3 minutes. I was holding her in my arms, she didn’t bark and it literally took 2-3 minutes to pay for my food and walk out. I take her everywhere and never have an issue. She’s cleanser than most humans, she doesn’t walk on the ground outside. I told the lady that I won’t be coming back and that was before trying the horrendous food. Do yourself a favor and try Mr. Chens. Good Sichuan food 🥰

Very disappointing meal... Don't understand how the fried rice is even served... Egg drop soup very good but that was it... Had a Thai coconut soup and really did not work out plus I asked for Tofu and received chicken... Very nice folks I hate to write a bad review but they was allot of money and this is not the first or tenth time to deal with these issues.

My daughter and I ate here for the first time today. We looked up the reviews before we visited because we were traveling a bit of a ways and wanted to make sure it was worth the drive. The reviews of this being an almost 5 star place were correct!!! The restaurant was very clean, the food was fresh and tasted amazing, and the service was excellent! We will absolutely be back to visit.

Good food, good prices, good service. Variety in the menu. Always has been no waiting and plenty of seating when I've been there.

The prices are too expensive. The staff is very rude. They complained about my order. They said it is too large and too much. Food rating drop to a 93. For the price, it should be 100. Shrimp dishes only contain 4 shrimp. The parking stinks. Don't wat waste your time or money.

The yellow curry is a no for me! It was thick and tasteless.. my fortune cookie had more flavor. I’ve been trying curry all over and this is by far the worst one. Also the chicken had a slimy texture. Yuck. Not sure about there other food but I probably won’t return.

We are from out of town and decided to eat here for an early dinner. Both the food and staff were amazing! We ordered cheese wontons, dumplings, small steam buns, wonton soup, veggie pho and mandarin chicken! I would definitely recommend this place over most of the chain restaurants in the area if you are visiting Montgomery!

Amazing food I ordered curry chicken fried rice and the Thai tea the fried rice was on point their waitress that was there was also polite I feel like not a lot of people know about this place but after this review they might try it I would recommend it 100% make sure to get the Thai tea it’s to die for.

Misadvertising chow mein as a rice dish with very cheap vegetables and tasteless sauce. Ended up wasting money on a fake dish and politely called to let them know I had the wrong order to be told that it was the correct order. On Doordash and other delivery apps, the dish is labeled chow mein. On their website they misadvertise having "chow mein" but add "Not noodles, with vegetables" instead of just not calling it chow mein. 不是炒面. Extremely disappointed and dissatisfied with the service and quality of food. It's not even close to authentic Chinese and is a bad attempt at American Chinese food.

I also called to inform them of the misadvertising but was told it's just "another type" of chow mein. 不是炒面。

After a short wait, my Sesame Chicken was ready. Really good and enjoyed it. This photo was taken after I'd eaten half of it, more than enough for two meals.

I missed the Emperor's Garden so much and was thrilled to find out the Asia Bistro is the same family! Great food and service! I'll be back again soon.

Through Doordash, I ordered wings, Pad Thai and miniature spring rolls. The Pad Thai was dry with little chicken. The wings weren't fresh and the spring rolls were soggy. I'm so disappointed.

We have dined with this family for 30 years. First it was Bamboo Garden's in Normandale, then they moved to McGehee Rd. as Emperor's Garden. Asian Bistro continues to have great good, and wonderful service. Their take - out is great, just miss the service and family.

The only thing they got right is the stream rice. They used chicken cold cuts for the chicken in the pad Thai. Gross. The pad Thai was used with a different apice then normal. The curry was really thick and gross looking. It's suppose to be runny.

Very clean place, quiet atmosphere. I had the mini egg rolls, egg drop soup, and General Tso chicken. All were excellent.

This the only Chinese place I like to go in Montgomery. I have been eating with this family for over 20 years (they had a different restaurant before this one). They never disappoint. Everything on the menu is great - but my favorites are the hot and sour soup and Szechuan chicken. The service was exceptional first and foremost. The food was tasty and exuded freshness. I highly recommend.

Egg drop soup was fantastic Long with the noodles they bring out to put in the soup or just eat alone, or maybe with some duck or soy sauce.

My wife had shrimp low mein and it was quiet tasty, loaded with shrimp and not too much sauce. My son had a beef bento box and I had a chicken bento box. The spring rolls were light and fluffy with a tasty filling. Our salads had the house dressing which was just right. I had fried rice and my son, steamed. We put yum yum sauce on it and it takes it over the top. Our meat and vegetables were cooked to perfection as always.

You need to try it! We love the service provided and great, hot food, every time we go. Our son had been in Africa on a mission trip for his spring break and this was his first and only choice for lunch after church. He said he had to have it.

My wife and I have been eating at Asia Bistro for 26 years even when it used to be Emperors Garden. We've never had a bad meal there ever. The service has always been great. If there was a 10 star rating, we would be the 1st to give it to them. People who complain about the food, service, ect. there, don't know what good Chinese food and good service is and don't need to take up space there so that other people that do enjoy great food and service will have a spot open for them. We will continue to go there as long as we live. Keep up the good work guys. It is highly appreciated!

Probably the worst restaurant I have ever been in my life. I called them for a delivery and they said they were out of meat. So I was like it is ok, then they call me back and said they find extra meat. So they deliver to me and there was literally no meat in it. It was just a rip off or a scam I cost like $20 for just some cabbage and vegetable and Few piece of meat. Never going back to that restaurant ever again!!!

Ordered a lunch seafood platter that was suppose to have fish, deviled crab, shrimp, and scallops. When my plate arrived, that was not what I received. There was no deviled crab, 3 shrimp, 3 fake scallops and 5-6 fish nuggets. Mind you, this is suppose to be $9 worth of food.

I explained to my server that this was not what I ordered and she stated that the restaurant hasnt served deviled crab in years. So why is it that it is still on the menu?! I refused the order and was given a ticket for my soup (that was greasy and salty) and tea. My total was $4.85. Never again will Asia Bistro get my business.

Today is my birthday and this is my first time eating here. They truly gave me a great birthday experience!! EVERYTHING was delicious. I was nearly full before my meal came from soup salad and shrimp tempura that comes first. The service was OUTSTANDING! They even gave me a pair of earrings for my bday! Great atmosphere and music. We have been here twice, and each time we've had a very pleasant experience. The staff is amazing. They are so attentive. The second time we went in, the waiter remembered what all four of my family members had ordered the first time we went in, which was about a week prior. That blew me away. The food is really good and fresh and the menu is quite extensive, giving a ton of options. The prices are great too. I can easily see this becoming a new favorite restaurant for us.

Service is great. We had Pho noodle soup. The beef was excellent. They do not give you the usual plate of condiments, but they were more than happy to bring whatever we asked for. No cilantro or mint though. Mom did bring us out a cut up Thai chili to kick the heat up though.

I live 90 miles from Montgomery. When in town and hungry my mind always has the Asian Bistro at the top or near the top of my list. Anybody writing a bad review should try it again before writing. I have been there many times. I love the dumplings best of all. My whole family is always ready to eat their. I like the atmosphere and the service. The woman that owns it is a hero. Read the clippings about her life. She worked hard to get there and deserves a lot of respect.

I have never had a substandard meal at Asia Bistro. Food is always fresh, hot, very delicious & presentation is charming. The food is very reasonable for the quantity, quality & authenticity.
