I’ve eaten Thai food & varies curry’s from every where from San Francisco to London. This was the best Thai soup I’ve ever had. The curry was spot on. The waitress is quite but extremely nice. My husband, baby and I were driving him to CO and stopped here due to reviews. Great portion sizes and the perfect amount of heat I’d you order your meal “spicy”. Everything is literally made fresh and to order. Would have paid double. Thank you for making our night stay in Riverside WY memorable.

The orange chicken has no flavor and the sauce is just an orange squeezed in a cup it’s not a sauce. The only thing good is the cup of it look like chopped vegetables in a sauce that came with the fried avocados other than that is terrible and I can’t believe that people say that is so good cause I went by the reviews and I’m visiting and trying to find places to eat in Riverton Wyoming. Grosss!!!!!

As someone not from here, that's well traveled and a finely tuned palette for ethnic and just overall well prepared food. I can say with confidence this is the only place in town that was good enough. And she knocks it out of the park. I'd go so far as to say, don't bother eating anywhere else, until you come here.

Everywhere else in Riverton is diner food, that's sub par at best. Imagine 1996 burgers, basic steaks and Sammy's. Thats Riverton.

That all said, it's a sweet older lady that runs it, cooks and handles it all - so give a little grace, considering everyone else is less than great.

Food and staff at the restaurant are freaking amazing best some of the best Thai food I have had we definitely recommend this restaurant .The bathroom was very clean, but the building itself is very old, and unfortunately, the area we sat in didn't have air conditioning, but the food definitely makes up for that.

The red curry is by far my favorite dish, however all of the meals are phenomenal. The drunken noodles are quite popular among my family. But I would say that Thai chef has the best crab Rangoon in Riverton Wyoming.

We went to have a late lunch. We got egg rolls and there was hair inside it, sent it back and continued to wait for our food. My friends dish said it tasted and smelt like dirty diaper on a hot day. My dish had black hair and they tried to say it was my hair but I had bright red hair! We sent back our food. She apologize a lot and told us our food was free. When she came out she still had her cooking gloves and wad touching everything. It grossed me and my friend out. Never going there again

My friend took me here for lunch and it was amazing. Super friendly staff, cute restaurant with booths, and the most delicious pad thai. One of my favorite places to eat in town.

Amazing Thai food! Went there for a birthday dinner. The staff was very accommodating to our large party even as we stayed a little later than their business hours. The massaman curry was awesome and the heat level was superb! I will be visiting again. The price as just right as well.

I LOVE this restaurant. We have been eating here since we moved here 10 years ago. Their food is always good and their service is always good. Any time people come to visit us we take them here.

I recommend the masaman curry (if I remember the name correctly). I ordered medium spicy and could have handled more, but regardless, it tasted amazing! My friend had chicken lo mein and liked it, although she is a salt addict and had to add more.

Finding the place and parking was a little tricky--we overshot and had to go around the block. There was also a little awkwardness over not knowing whether we should wait to be seated or seat ourselves, but the ladies who worked there were friendly and were the right amount of helpful without hovering.

Went to this place for the first time today. After playing frisbee golf with son and daughter in law stopped here to eat. Best Thai food I have ever had. I had wontons lettuce wraps and their avocado curry which was absolutely amazing. Great atmosphere and service. Will definitely be back when in area again!

Surprisingly really good food. Look from outside u may not like it but the food is really good. We had a group of 18 people and everyone ordered different items. My suggestion is ordered from the Thai menu especially Yellow curry or pad Thai. Expect some delay if u have a large group.

We are visiting Yellowstone from Texas and stopped here for dinner. It was supper tasty. Recommend yellow curry with chicken and avocado egg rolls

Everything was delicious! I'm a huge fan of Tom Yum soup and the bowl is large and definitely in the top 5 of Tom Yums I've eaten. Panang Chicken (#51) definitely a solid choice, medium is a good balance of heat and flavor without being overwhelming. Definitely don't miss it if you're in Riverton!

Paid $17 for a bowl of broth and a few pieces of flank steak. Wish I had a Time Machine so I could go back an hour and not purchase . Way overpriced. Not worth but 6 bucks at the most. On a scale of 1-10 We will have to go with a 4/10 xxx Bill and Em know food

We’re from out of town and thought we’d give this a try. My family eats Thai once or twice a month, we’ve tried dozens of places over years so we’re pretty experienced:-) panang and Massaman curry was outstanding . Pho was perfect. Super friendly. Wish we had this restaurant closer to home. Absolutely loved it!

To those of you complaining about wait times.. Please keep in mind this is not your pre-cooked chinese faire. This is Thai food at it's best and as good and authentic as you can get specially in this region. I have eaten in many places in Thailand and the food at Thai Chef is amazing. I make it a point to stop and eat here if I am passing through. The food here is cooked from scratch to order and fresh, you cannot whip this out in a few minutes. The owner is probably one of the sweetest people I have met. Thank you for cooking for us :)

If you were looking for fast food, there are several fast food locations in Riverton. McDonald’s, Wendy’s, Taco Bell and a host of others. This is not fast food. This is excellent food. Each dish is cooked for you. The food is superb. If you want speed, don’t go here. If you want good food, Thai food, you should go here. I have tried many of the items on the menu and they are all very good. You can try takeout food here or perhaps even better, call in your order ahead of time to avoid sitting at your table as long. The chef is the owner and she cooks everything from scratch. She is one of the most lovely human beings I have ever met. Be kind, appreciate these small miracles, remember that life is short.

Food was excellent! I would seriously order at least an hour before you get there though. We were there an hour and a half before we were served, as we watched a number of people picking up their takeout while we waited . Service was poor. We all got our food probably 10-15 minutes apart.
If you’re not in a hurry I’d recommend it but if you show up hungry, you’ll be very upset by the time you get your food

The food was absolutely amazing service was slow but worth the wait. Me and my friend decided to go here and we do not regret it at all waiters we're nice and food was delicious it did take a while to get our food but it was all worth it (I recommend the lettuce wraps)

Very very slow. Took just under 1.5 hours to get our food and we were the only party in the restaurant. Food was good but I probably won’t be back. Not worth the wait. One plate at a time came out and 30 min between the first person to get their food and the last person in our party to get their food. Server was very kind but the kitchen was so slow it was hard to enjoy the meal.

Excellent food and relaxed atmosphere. The owner is the chef and came out to chat with us at the end of the evening. We felt very welcomed and our food was cooked perfectly!

Loved it. Needed a kick of spice and Thai Chef 2 did not disappoint. Even though the wait was a little long it assured me that my food was being properly cooked. Plus the waiter was very kind. His hospitality was amazing. Definitely going back when I am up there again

Thai chef 2 l is the only thai restaurant I like in the state of Wyoming. I try to travel to Riverton when the restraint is open.

They know how to cook rice noodles properly.

I make sure to call before I go as the internet information on service hours is often wrong.

I also try to go when they are not to busy to get served faster.

My mouth is watering as I write.

This place is amazing. I think of it from time to time and miss it. Go eat here even if you're not hungry. Their avocado curry is my absolute most favourite thing in the world.

Took us nearly two hours to get our food with only a few other people there. Like the cook forgot about us. I do not know how it stays in business. Great food if you can stand the wait.

Food is a 5, service is a 1. The food is the best thai I've ever had. However, the service is not good and the food takes forever on a busy night because of only one cook. She's a great cook, but can't keep up. So, make sure you have at LEAST 1 hour to wait for food. I've waited up to 2.5 hours.

We got the cashew chicken. The dish was very colorful with fresh veggies. So delicious.

I had an incredible meal of "Seafood Padtaya". It was probably the best Thai food dish I've eaten so far.
The employee who was working there was very kind and managed to keep up with the crowd that was present despite the fact that it appeared as though he was running the whole place by himself.
I fully intend to come back again in the future. I definitely recommend this location for Thai food.

Pretty much the only authentic thai food this side of the Wind River. The chef/owner knows her stuff. The staff is nice and quick. The food tastes just as good if not better than anything I've had this side of the Rockies. The wait can be long but to be fair there's only one person in the back. If you're gonna try a restaurant in Riverton WY aside from your old fast food or classic American this is the place to go. Mind the spice.

Restaurant made a mistake with my friend's meal and put both chicken and tofu when she'd asked for just tofu. But besides the mixup, food was very good!!

Calamari made with homemade batter. 1/2 inch think by 2inch pieces instead of rings. Homemade sweet and sour. Cashew chicken loaded with chicken and cashew. Very flavorful sauce. Avacado curry smooth and creamy. About $17 per person with tip. Very good portions.

Stopped by this place on the way back from the Grand Canyon. Wanted something real, the chicken is brought in fresh daily. Rarely freezes anything which is super rare. Looks and taste extremely healthy and brings a good feeling with it. Staff is very friendly. 0 complaints, 10/10.

I took my grandparents and brother to this place super excited to try it. Sadly I was disappointed with the workers. They were yelling back and forth to each other and it was kind of embarrassing. We got our food quite some time apart witch wasn't good at all. I work as a hostess/Waitress and I've always been taught take the food and drinks out at the same time unless you cant carry that many plates. my grandpa and brother got theirs first which it was orange chicken and then 30 minutes later I got mine which was beef broccoli and by the time i got mine the boys were done 10 minutes later my grandmas teriyaki chicken comes out which was quiet irritating but understandable because there is only one chef.. but it should be timed better.. don't cook one thing at a time if one idem takes longer start that first and cook the rest according to how long it'll take that way the food is fresh and out on time.. The food there was amazing, however, and will definitely order here again but ill stick with take out.

I'm picky about restaurants, and not a huge fan of most of the local places to eat, and have been pleasantly surprised at how good the food is at this restaurant. It is my favorite of the Asian cuisine in the area.

Riverton,Wyoming is a small town and you would not think this jem would be way out here? I was impressed with the quality of the food here and the attention to detail everything was fresh. I had the Tom Kai Ghai soup and it was prepared very well with big chunks of fresh chicken and excellent flavor! Wife had pad thai. Was not dry and very good flavor profile. Excellent overall with good service.

Person who answers the phone simply cannot understand basic English at times. I asked for chicken with sweet & sour sauce (red sauce). I stressed several times that I did NOT want orange-flavored sauce. He said: "Yea, yea, we have red sauce, I know what you mean" Guess what, got orange flavored sauce. From now on, I'll drive to Riverton rather patronize this place!.

This is probably the only restaurant in Riverton id actually recommend to someone as being worthwhile and not just serviceable at best. Better than the Thai place in rawlins for whatever thats worth. Anyway, only 4 stars because you should just order take out. Dine in and it is pretty slow, although it is good food youll be waiting for. They said the chef makes one dish at a time in their defense. 5 stars for Riverton though!!

The food is FANTASTIC! However the last 3 times I have been there it has taken over 45 minutes to get my food, the waiter has little control of the situation. I love this place but be prepared for long wait times unfortunately they need more staff in the kitchen.

Not happy at all. I wld give 0 stars if it were an option. I ordered beef n broccoli and ask for spicy at least 3 times. Yet they still did NOT make it spicy!!! 😡no fortune cookies in the bag. Took 30 mins for a take out order! And the guy on the phone was not very easy to talk to!!!! I won’t be going back

Id give it more stars but honestly pretty mediocre. We walked in to the establishment hoping for a great experience but honestly its too small for the amount of people in there. Theres only 1 server and the kitchen was hopefully understaffed. I say hopefully because it took almost 2 and a half hours to get our 2 meals. There was 2 tables ahead of us and we walked in a little before 7pm and were there until almost 9:30 when it closes at 9pm. Take orders were filled before our order was even cooking most likely. We were starving so we had order an order of crab Rangoon and then almost 2 hours later had to order another order of rangoons because they were the quickest thing. We were charged for both appetizers which is surprising since we were there for almost 3 hours. We got the teriyaki chicken and sesame chicken. The chicken was a weird color and both plates had teriyaki sauce for very different plates. Great atmosphere but honestly not a great experience. We might try again for take out but we couldnt find a menu anywhere so we had to go dine in. I would like to say that surprisingly we didn't end up sick but I probably wont ever dine in again. And seriously they need to fix the first stair on the staircase into the place. Almost fell because of it.

Fantastic local restaurant. All of the dishes are made to order with the upmost care and skill. The Crying Tiger Steak was amazing with a spicy Jalapeno sauce. The Avocado Curry was a unique and special surprise.

This is probably the best green curry I have had stateside. The pad thai isn't the best, but it isn't the worst either. Trust me when I say that I have been to Bangkok and tried street food, and this is the closest thing I have found in the United States. Their menu does not say they have tofu , but they do. Be confident when you order, as the people taking orders aren't always trained very well.

I ordered avocado Curry and asked for it hot. Angie, the chef, checked with me thoughtfully to make sure I described how spicy we were going. It came out delicious and impressively heated. We laughed and visited and agreed that next time we will go one or two hotter for tasty adventure.
