Got their drunken noodles, Thai basil fried rice, and chicken satay. All the food was delicious, served fresh and hot. Never had chicken satay and now I’ll be craving it from these guys. Definitely going back, but probably getting it to go. This place could use a fan or two, a little more ventilation especially since these dishes come out hot, I was sweating in there.

I decided to stop in for lunch now that the place has been reopened for a couple weeks and was not disappointed. The pho broth was rich and the portion was generous with meatball and beef. The spicy chicken wings have a good balance of spice and flavor. I will definitely be back to try more dishes!

I came to the place and it said it was open, but it’s closed…? I’m from La crosse and it’s frustrating because I have to drive for a good amount of time and to arrive and it’s closed while the website says it’s open.

i’m severely disappointed, this has happened before, but on there website it says they will be open, i drive 40+ minutes, and they are closed, yet again. their food is great when they are actually open, but i think this just makes me wanna stop coming all together.

When they are open the food is great. The hrs when you call are different from on the door. I have tried going 3 times but there is a sorry we're closed sign. How do you support a place that you like if you drive 30 min and never know when they are open. Calling is useless they never answer!

I really want to eat here but they are just randomly closed when they are supposed to be open. Drove 30 minutes to eat here with my family on a Friday at 5pm and there was just a sign on the door that said closed Today, I tried to call repeatedly on the following Saturday and no answer.

My boyfriend and I came here today. We had called the restaurant earlier to confirm their operating hours, which we learned were until 6:30 pm. However, when we arrived at 2:30 pm, the restaurant was unexpectedly closed. It would be great if they could update their working hours on Google so that others are aware of when to visit. Thanks!

Third time trying to eat here, only to find a paper sign saying they are closed! It takes almost ZERO effort to update your hours! If that effort isn't there...can't imagine the food. Stay away!

We went there at 4 pm today, a Sunday, and we ask to dine in, and they spontaneously say , “We are closing early today!” What?! A restaurant abruptly closing at 4 pm on a Sunday?! Ridiculous! You are turning away customers standing right in front of you who are willing to pay?! Stupid move! We went to Señor Villa instead and they were happy to serve us; we spent our money where they welcomed us. Taste of Thai, you need to learn how to treat customers better; start by honoring the hours you say you are open!

This place was so well worth it for its food portion ! Pho is amazing and good amount of meat . Probably the only good place to eat pho with good amount of meat in town. Would rather pick this place over any other Hmong restaurants.

Service ok. Waitress couldn’t wait for me to finish my food and grabbed me a box already. Food was mediocre. I ordered Papaya and Pho combination. Hardly any noodles or meat in there. It was all broth!!! Gave it a second try a few weeks ago and ordered Lao style papaya. Mad food poisoning. Place is violating health codes.

Don't recommend trying to eat here unless you want to make 8 phone calls to try and get someone to take your order.

Even when someone does answer, they put you on hold and then hangup on you. I literally only eat here when my wife is willing to deal with ordering the food. I spent literally 30 mins today with her trying to get an order in before she gave up too.

Every time I go, always closed even though hours says open. Food is good but never open. Don’t know how they can stay in business. If your hungry hungry then don’t even bother because you’ll just waste your time since they are never open.

Great place. They are take out only right now, as with many places. CALL AHEAD especially on Friday-Saturday (and early). It's a popular place and always seems to be busy. If they say 40 min it will be 40-45, maybe with 5 min wait too. Always friendly and accommodating. Just a caution...If you order it "hot and spicy" its going to be hot and spicy ... I'm sure its tamed down for the American palate, but not as much as other places...woo! i love it, but its break-a-sweat hot.... also check their Facebook page if they are open... it is a local family owned and run business sometimes they are closed on short notice.

Great food…if you can get an order in. I cannot be the only person who calls and sits on hold for ever, and never gets an answer. Also - they never update their hours when they randomly decide to close…very, very frustrating.

Lowering to 1 star….2 months ago I attempted again to place an order, called, order placed, and was told it would be 35 minutes. Knowing that they always underestimate their wait times, I left my house after 35 minutes. When I arrived, I was told it would be an additional 10 minutes. I returned to my vehicle and waited 15 minutes, checked back in and was told that it would be ANOTHER 15 minutes! I told them to cancel the order and walked out.

Fast forward 2 months after swearing this place off, a co-worker convinced me to try again. It’s a Saturday afternoon, during their business hours, and no one is answering the phone. Having experienced this before where they are open but don’t answer the phone, we drove past to find a sign on the front door…”closed 5-8 today”. Maybe I’m just unlucky? Never had such challenges trying to give my business.

The food is amazing - huge portions for a good price. I had the Combination Pho, with crab rangoons, egg rolls, and taro boba tea. All of it was spectacular. Pho was full of flavor with a lot of meat and my taro drink was one of the best I've ever had.

The service and ambiance was good as well, I will definitely be back again soon!

Fantastic stir fry and peanut sauce chicken

Came to town to see my husband's former vball student play college vball at Viterbo University. Found this restaurant when I googled it. Service was great! They were quick to take our order and bring our food out. Was craving Hmong soul food before heading back home to Twin Cities, MN.

This is one of those places that I struggle to get an order in, may or may not be open, will usually take a bit longer to get your food ready when...but is worth any type of hassle it takes to get the food. The most amazing Thai food in the area hands down, worth almost any effort.

I accidentally stumbled across this little gem while out riding with my girlfriend. Great staff, food, and overall experience. Everything was very clean from the table tops to the bathroom. Highly recommended from both of us.

Limited seating. Bathrooms are bare necessity, no changing table for children. But the service was fast and courteous and the food was packed full of flavor! Very good!

Terrible food and terrible service. They will make you wait forever after the order and they serve the appetizer after they serve you the entree. Also, I used to love their pad Thai and basil fried rice, but recently I had those there, it was terrible. The pad Thai was full of soya sauce and the basil fried rice is soggy and too much of salt.

Basil stir fry with chicken was amazing! The spicy wings are also so so good! They were kind of busy, but not overly crowded and were quick with our food.

Place use to be good..its gone down hill. Now it's pretty meh. Evry time I order it's always wrong or missing something. Food has gotten really salty over the years... They are NEVER opened. Their business hours are WRONG and not up to date so calling is a guessing game. If you try to call you probably won't get a answer. If you drive there the doors will be closed and locked. What the hell is the point of having a business If your never opened? Haven't eaten there in awhile and I plan on keeping it that way. Sad..

A hidden gem of amazing Thai food! Highly recommend the pad Thai or red curry.

We’ve only done carry-out but each time the process has been straight forward and the results were delicious.

Wish I could say something useful beyond I'm not really sure how to see their menu as it's all chopped up on google. I walked up to the door to be greeted by a facemask required sign and further past the door a 'takeout only' sign. Seems a hassle to even get in to ask questions and frankly I am not intrigued, rather offput by the whole of it. I really wanted to try their food and I'm sure it's delicious but with a very outdated feel and look as far as the covid restrictions and no way to see a decent menu for calling an order in, I think we'll go elsewhere. Time to stop putting your fears onto your customers.

The Best place around - hands down - to get your Asian cuisine fix! My family and I love this restaurant for their delicious & affordable food as well as their super friendly staff. The pineapple fried rice is our absolute favorite, with the "drunken noodles" coming in at a close second. Right now they're only doing carryout orders, but that's totally fine with me seeing as they're still open at least! Thank you, Taste of Thai, for being an amazing business who (I think) genuinely cares. 💝 Keep on being awesome!

If you order Pho for pick up make sure you tell them to boil the noodles. That's what they told me when I called to tell them my noodles wear not boiled. Im paying for food to be cooked for me yet I have to boil the noodles? So frustrating. I told them if this is the case they should mention that on their menu!! This was my first time ordering Pho and now will be my last time. Should have driven to five star egg rolls.

This place is a joke! We drove from different town and got there at 12:30 pm on Sunday and they supposed to open at Noon but but they did not open without any notice to let all the customers know why they are closed or something! I tried to call before we came but no phone answer at all ! We got there and it’s another 2 family was waiting outside and have no clue what going on inside! What a bad customer service!

Best Thai food I’ve ever had. Completely understandable to not be open to sit down customers during covid. We will return! Affordable too! We had the chicken pad Thai and the shrimp Thai fried rice. Amazing egg rolls!

Used to love the pad Thai at this place but recently it’s become super oily and not as good anymore. It also smells funny sometimes when I get it (coming from an Asian person). But the papaya always hits me right. This place has by far the best papaya in La Crosse.

After almost ten years of living in the La Crosse area, I have to say that this is my favorite restaurant. Everything is always perfect, even when I have to order it to go. My usual order is two or three orders of different Pad Thai, the Massaman curry, and the special chicken wings. The Pad Thai is just as good as what I had in Thailand and the curry has the perfect blend of spices. My kids love the egg rolls and the chicken wings. I wish they were open for dining, but right now it's only to-go.

I ordered a bubble tea, with no bobas in it at all. i was very dissapointed. I also ordered curry with pork but received chicken in it instead. I did not find out until I was home already. Maybe there was a miscommunication between the staffs? so i suggest maybe to double check every order carefully before finalizing them. overall, the staff were very nice but just very dissapointed in the care towards the food.

Visiting family and was recommended to try this restaurant. It has odd hours or maybe it was due to the pandemic. Google says it was dine in or take out but when we arrived, it was take out only. We got there right at 4pm when they opened. They were already getting calls after calls when we got there. We ordered the thai basil fried rice, sticky rice, drunken noodles and papaya salad. Food was good but more on the saltier side (-1 star). Would love to come back and try other food here.

People are always raving about this place so we gave it a try! They were so busy but so accommodating. I had drunken noodles and it was sooo amazing. The fried rice was just so yum! Egg rolls some of the best I've had in awhile!

The food has been great in the past, but not impressed with the service. On a Thursday night, we walked in to be seated at 6:40 only to find out they close at 7:00 so they refused to serve us. I asked if we could order to go and they said no to that, as well. The restaurant had diners in it so there was no excuse. Poor hours for a restaurant. Disappointed.

We ordered takeout while in town visiting family. They grossly underestimated the time it would take for the order and my brother in law waited 20 minutes past the time we expected to pick up the food.

The food was good, to me, but only to me. I like my Thai food spicy, the rest of my family, not so much. My dish was the least spicy at a moderate heat, I ordered a "medium/medium hot." No one else ordered anything hotter than a medium, most of them requested mild. All of the other dishes were considered too hot to eat for the rest of my family, the person that wanted it to be not spicy at all had a 5 alarm heat. Dissapointing experince for them and I wouldn't want to order from them if I wasn't in the mode for something hot. Being in the mode for spicy that night I enjoyed the extra food, but the experience left me a little weary of future orders to this restaurant.

Had a bad experience with the server. The server had an attitude and rolled her eyes a couple of times at us. The services is stopping me from going back to eat there.

Usually I never rate a Hmong restaurant, but this restaurant has the worst service and takes longer than the expected time they give you that your order will be done in. We came for take out and other people who came in after got their orders before we did and it's really ridiculous that they told us wait time was gonna be about 25 minutes but it was past the time they said. Also, one of their workers has such a nasty attitude and coming from working customer service you should be more professional and present yourself with good attitude because people are definitely gonna get your name down and make a complaint! This is just ridiculous and their service!

I stopped here bcs it was a Hmong thai restaurant. I came to the lacrosse Hmong ny and got to there on Friday. I ordered 2 pho beef with meatball and 4 egg rolls.... I watched as she said hi to the caucasian couple sitting right next to me. They arrived after I did. After the three Hmong girls left... The waitress was very nice to that couple said they "snuck right in" and it was a busy day. She refilled their water as I was out of water sitting right next to them. Even that couple said they might as well get more water when still half full. And I was sitting right next to them. That waitress did not refill my water. I had pho and eggrolls??? That's how you know they don't care about their own nationality Hmong. Dont go there. They don't respect you if you are Hmong! When you know that restaurant is Hmong owned and you try to support them.
