I don't even know where to start, so many positive things to say. Hands down the best Thai restaurant I've ever been to. Went looking for a good Thai place on this most recent trip home to visit family, after not having been impressed with other local Thai places. The family that runs the place was super friendly and welcoming, they provided outstanding service, and they were very kind to my kids (which means a lot to me as a parent). The food was delicious, and everybody's came out at the level of spiciness they asked for. The wife and kids had meals devoid of any spice, sister and mom got the medium, and I got the hot/spicy level. All of us agreed our meals were really really good! Can't recommend this place highly enough!

*The place was darn near empty, so we were concerned at first, but just like my favorite Thai place back in Texas, it appears most people order their food to go instead of sitting down. But given the amazing service, this is a place I highly recommend sitting down and enjoying yourself!

Ended up here tonight because our usual spot was closed. Now we have a new favorite spot. Food was AMAZING. Service was incredible! We will probably be back here every week it is that good. I am so blown away by not only the food but the service! This is hands down the best restaurant I have been to in a LONG time!

Every single dish was delicious. We ordered crab Rangoon’s, spicy noodles, red curry and the garden peanut. The spice is exactly what you ask for! We each got medium spice and it was perfect. A little spice but not too much! If you have low heat tolerance then go with the normal/low spice level. Pricing is great! Got 6 items, including the vegan Thai and only spent 60 dollars. Average of 10 per item is pretty great!
Thai ice tea was so good, I’ve never had a vegan Thai ice team but it tasted super yummy. Like cereal milk! lol but with out the actual milk.
I’m so impressed with everything but what left the biggest impression was the service. The owners dad served us and he was the kindest person ever, he genuinely wanted us to have a great experience and made us feel very welcome. 100% will come back here and HIGHLY recommend to others.

They completely exceeded our expectations. We heard it was the BEST Thai in Vancouver and it was absolutely true!!!! Our server Sam was a delight to talk to and learn from. We ordered the medium and it was much spicier than we were expecting, but it cleared out our sinuses and warmed our hearts. Will be making this a staple in our restaurant rotation!

Food here was great. A small family joint that cares about their customers. They have a cool option at the table that allows you to call your server at the tap of a button and it rings back in the kitchen. You can choose service, pay bill and such. Great feature for a low staff operation. Prices were good and aside from its location in an area that has gone downhill it was a good experience.

I’ve ordered food from here a few times and ate in once. The food has been delicious each time. They have a large menu with more than just the popular/typical dishes you get at most Thai restaurants. They also have an extensive vegan menu. I’m gluten and dairy free and they’re very accommodating. The gluten free items are clearly marked and when you order online you can press the gluten free sauce option instead having to put it in the notes box. It’s very convenient.

The service is always good. From the outside, it’s not the best location, but the inside is decorated nicely and clean.

Out of the many different Thai food restaurants that you can eat at in Vancouver, Kwan Thai Cuisine is by far my favorite. I used to eat at Thai Time, they were three to four star in atmosphere when it came to their food definitely a four-star. Then I started eating at Ginger pop. I feel like the food was five star the atmosphere was five star. The only thing was that the price was five star as well. Out of a handful of other Thai restaurants in Vancouver. I found most of them comparable to the regular generic 3 to 4 Star product. If I could give Kwan Thai Cuisine six stars I would. It's a hole in the wall next to Wendy's on Fourth Plain. The owners are both Thai the cook is Thai. The atmosphere is quiet comforting and very much a welcoming peaceful ambiance. The owners and staff are well above friendly and service oriented. I have tried multiple off of their menu and I would drive out of my way just to go to Kwan Thai Cuisine because of their yellow curry and their duck. If you go with the basic Pad Thai you will be 100% satisfied with a high-quality traditional meal. But by far the most defining food item on a Thai Cuisine menu is the spring roll. Oftentimes they can be overcooked undercooked burnt soggy almost as if they've been drenched in oil, but not at this restaurant. 10 Stars Spring Rolls. They are perfect and handmade. I hope you try them, you will not regret it. And unlike the higher priced Thai restaurants, the prices are reasonable affordable and you get a good quantity of food for the price you pay.

I would give this place a 6 out of 5 if possible. Crabb Rangoon, coconut shrimp, and 2 curry dishes. The flavors are rich and authentic. The owners are amazingly kind and helpful. They have call buttons on the table for assistance.

Food is normally good. But it was a busy night and we were warned. However, we sat down and we're ready to order and 2 groups got served before us. Just didn't help by making me hangry.

I'm particular about my Tom Kha soup and Pad See EW. Both exactly what I was looking for with just the right amount of medium spice. I'll be back!

Best Tai food east of Thailand. I had the pepper trio fried rice. 🍚 Amazing! Staff are awesome. The owner went to culinary school in Thailand and moved here. He had to adapt the recipes to local ingredients here because some Tai ingredients are not available. Good people.

Family didn’t come over for thanksgiving so I was left by myself. Ended up driving around town and this place was the only one open. Food was fantastic and staff were so friendly and welcoming, I will certainly be coming back. Not to mention they have an entire vegetarian/vegan menu!

The place is small but very clean, service is great, and the food is always good. I've had the Pad Thai, pineapple fried rice, and curry, and it's always good.

Very good thai food. I was at firestone getting tires and decided to give them a try instead of fast food (ugh). The food was very good portions to price well equalized. I had the stir fry garlic pepper trio. I was full before my meal was gone but couldnt help myself and eat the rest because of the deliciousness.(yumm!!) Definitely one of the better thai food restaurants in vancouver. I also had the Thai iced tea which was really well made. My Gratitude to Kwan Thai Cuisine. Excellent food and an excellent staff. THANK YOU I will be back for more😊

Absolutely delicious! We got the pineapple fried rice, tom kha, and stir-fried basil. All three were winners. We loved the spice levels and the flavors were on point. The owners were incredibly nice too! The restaurant was clean and bright, perfect for lunch or dinner.

I made a mess with the soy sauce the nice gentlemen came up asked if he could clean it for us very respectfully was just trying to make the expirence as best for us

I got the drunken man with duck as my meat for 20$ and asked for it spicy
The duck was great not over cooker and very tender dish was flavourful!

The tai iced tea was great was shocked came in a big glass and very well balanced

My wife got the
Masiman curry and she also got it extra spicy
And she was in love with it
The flavors we very balance and amazing super tasteful had peanut's in it witch made an amazing touch

While we where wrapping up our meal the chef a lovely little old lady came up who was are cook and made are food came and double checked to make sure it wasn't o spicy for us and that it was all okay and that made it all that much better getting to see the women who but so much love and work in are food

They have been their for years and make amazing dishes!

Their food is so delicious the first night we went that now, we’ve gone twice in the last week. We brought our daughter tonight and she was in love with the food too. We ordered the crispy wontons, drunken women noodles with chicken, peanut sauce pad Thai with chicken, and stir fry basil trio. It all tasted so fresh and authentic. They also make their own homemade ice cream, some of the best ice cream we’ve ever had! The mango flavor tastes like real mango. The coconut flavor tastes like the coconut sauce that comes on top of mango sticky rice.. so together, they taste like mango sticky rice.. it’s fabulous! They also just perfected a pina colada flavor… it’s also amazing and hasn’t been added to the menu, but ask and they’ll bring it out for ya.

Decent for sure but not 4.8 good on my order. Just standard. Curry is edible but not complex. Basil fried rice was a bit slimy and over cooked but, again, edible. I work at a hospital and this is what I’d expect in the cafeteria. I eat it but I’m not going back for seconds.

Avoid will make you sick. Ordered some pad thai and the wednesday special the pad see eiw. we asked for spicy pad thai and there was no spice whatsoever. Medium on the pad see again no spice. Flavor meh nothing to write home about. I woke up at about 3am to an upset stomach and then had diarrhea. Never Again!!

The pad Se Ew was very flavorful and well cooked. Would have liked a few more vegetables, but the flavor made up for it.

The mango juice wasn't great, had more of a fruit punch flavor.

But the mango ice cream was fantastic, definitely tasted homemade, think they used coconut instead of milk, tasted fantastic.

Will be back to eat here again.

I Recommend the tom kha soup, hand made coconut icecream with sticky rice, pineapple fried rice and Red Curry. Really enjoyed the food and service here.

Picked up some pad kee mao (drunken noodles) and fried spring rolls to-go for dinner yesterday and both were really, really good, especially the pad kee mao. The woman running the front of house was really, really nice too. Looking forward to trying their other dishes!

I have celiac and this place was so great!!! Everyone was super nice and knowledgeable about gluten free and cross contamination. The restaurant was also really clean. The items on the menu were labeled gf and there were a lot of options!! I got the cashew stir fry with chicken and it was excellent! Plus I felt great afterwards, we will definitely be back! Oh and get the roasted coconut water!! The coconut milk Thai tea was also really good!

I went to Kwan Thai as they were one.of the few non-fast food places open (until 10:30pm). My husband and I had dealt with a family emergency hence why we were seeking dinner so late. When I walked up at 10:15 ish, I was fully expecting to be turned away. Instead, the person working was friendly and didn't even restrict the menu to select items. I was able to order our Thai comfort foods. The food was great but the kindness in being so wonderful despite being so close to closing time is what struck me. I will go out of my way to go to this business because of it.

Being asian myself im pretty specific to fried noodles in terms of flavor and giving this place 5 stars! The ambiance is good, food is delicious and its pretty authentic thai dishes.

Wow- unbelievably good. I ordered the garlic pepper trio. The quality of the proteins, especially the shrimp was some of the best I’ve ever eaten. The flavor was explosive then the texture was everything you look for that you don’t get often. It was soft, pillowy, and juicy. The beef was tender, as was the chicken.

We also ordered the dumpling soup, Massaman curry, and the coconut sticky rice with ice cream.

All in all they blew us out of the water and will continue to order from here.

Discovered this hidden gem in Vancouver that nails the authentic Thai flavors of my Bangkok childhood. The owners' warmth adds a special touch.

Impressed by their large selection of vegan dishes, we enjoyed the Thai tea, drunken noodles, yellow curry, egg rolls, and coconut ice cream with sticky rice—all of which were fantastically delicious.

This was our first visit and it's already our top choice on this side of the river. Can't wait to return! A must for anyone craving genuine Thai cuisine.

Delicious, great price, and super friendly staff :) We live local and got a coupon for this place in the mail—and I’m glad we decided to come because it was really good. I usually get pad Thai at every Thai place I go to, but they had so many options that I’m so glad I got the wonton soup! The broth was delicious and the wontons were very flavorful! I’ll definitely be coming back!

There are a couple things I appreciate about this Thai restaurant. The most important thing to me is they have a lot of options for vegan friendly for my husband who has dairy and egg allergies.

Another thing I love is that they have a QR code that you can scan and are able to see pictures of all the food items.

They also have a variety of foods for kids.

The service is great! Even with the restaurant full of customers, they manage to get the food out at a very reasonable timing! The employees are very kind and always have a smile on their face!

And last but not least, this is actually a very big reason that we come here, is for the FBI ice cream, it’s coconut ice cream with coconut flakes on top with banana wrapped in rice paper and fried! It is the best dessert! It’ll bring you back again and again!

We love their duck (basil or red curry... Both are amazing!) We also love the pepper trio with beef, chicken, and shrimp. Your taste buds will thank you!

Wonderful experience eating here today - super kind sweet employees (owners?) and amazing food! I’m vegan (they have a large separate vegan section on the menu yay!) and my husband is not. We each got different dishes and they were all fresh and so good! We’ll definitely be coming back!

Chicken & beef stir fry in brown sauce was amazing!

I'm Asian so if you want an Asian review here it is. The foods are delicious me and my husband order drunken man, and massaman curry. I tried so many currys in other different restaurants but this is far the best curry I ever had. The drunken noodles is also one of my favorite too and they totally nail it. At first me and my husband kinda hesitate a bit cus they don't have papaya salad and sticky rice but no doubt the foods are delicious. I will be coming back for more!

New favorite Thai in Vancouver. I ordered sweet n sour, orange chicken, pad Thai, pot stickers and yellow curry.

Each dish was so flavorful, modest portions that I was able to serve family style. Everyone was pleased.

The staff are super nice and attentive. I have loved every dish I’ve had. We spent 16 years living in SE Asia and love Thai Food. This is probably my favorite in Vancouver.

This is the third time we have eaten here and there has not been one disappointment with the food or the staff. Some of the best food since I was at the Riverside Restaurant in Chiang Mai Thailand! Best Thai tea in the city. I promise that you won’t be disappointed!

I live close to Kwan Thai and was hoping for a place to get "good" Thai. What I found was AWESOME. My first order was basil fried rice with chicken. It was the best I've eaten. This is my now home for Thai food.

We enjoyed the cleanliness, friendliness and freshness of this hidden gem of a Thai restaurant!! The vegan and vegetarian options were clearly itemized on the menu. The tofu dish we ordered (sweet and sour) had the perfect amount of vegetables to tofu ratio. And the crispy tempura vegetables we ordered for an appetizer were fresh, hot and delicious! We found all the vegetables to be steamed to the exact level of raw/cooked we prefer, which is a bit on the crispy instead of mushy side! We will be back to try the drunken noodle dish soon!

So it was mine and my boyfriends 2 year anniversary.. Just looking for an late lunch.. FYI.. He is a meat and potatoes type of man..
But he knows I love Thai food.. So we googled something close to where we were running errands and we went here...

I rarely review but this is worth the time. I visited this evening after a new owner took over the restaurant location 3 months ago. I was very surprised at the brisk take out business but many open tables inside.

The booths are high back which give a little privacy and they are large to accommodate for families. Smaller tables were cozy for two to four people.

Staff was immediately welcoming and attentive with clean menus and clean tables. While the color scheme looks a little cobbled together, the place was comfortable and inviting.

We tried several appetizers. Salt and pepper calamari (10/10), spring rolls (8/10), crab rangoons 9/10), and cool salad rolls (12/10) with warm, tasty peanut sauce (7/10 because I like thicker sauce).

The Pad Thai says a lot about any place. (9/10) My love had massaman curry with rice. (8.5/10) The menu has many vegetarian options. The chef even came out and asked how we liked the meal. Delicious!

I had a Thai beer and my love had a Thai iced tea (with a refill or three).
They offered soda, tea, and a small selection of beer from around the world.

Food came up fast and we had leftover take home for two more meals. Overall, good service, great food, and affordable .We will definitely return.

First I want to say that this place reminds us of our favorite Portland Thai restaurant. We had the Pad Thai and Drunken Man wide noodles plus the spring rolls.

Everything was very tasty and to our palette.

We have been to every restaurant that has been in this space and I have to say this is our favorite!!

All I can say is it was very refreshing to get wide rice noodles (drunken noodles and pad see ew) where the noodles actually stay in one piece on chop sticks and are not overly greasy. The sauce was great. The vegetables were cooked nicely, the presentation was great. This is one of the better Thai restaurants I’ve had in Vancouver and at this point, I’ve had just about all of them. Next time I will get a curry.

The only criticism I have is the medium order and the spicy order were very similar in spice level, and neither were particularly spicy. However, the chili oil was really great. The chili flakes in the oil were much finer than I’m used to, which made the oil spicier and seemed to coat the palate very well.

We've been here before, but it seems maybe there are new owners. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. We ordered fresh shrimp rolls, spring rolls, pad thai and fried rice. All the food was delicious!! I especially liked the presentation. We will definitely be back.

My friend and I were there last Saturday. I had best yellow curry chicken. The place was cleaned, service was excellent. Will go back again and again.

Solid Thai food, it hits the spot. The service felt more friendly because the place seemed to be recently opened. I hope they do well.

Got veggie stir-fry with chicken. Asked for spicy. Wasn't too spicy but more importantly the pepper/spice flavors didn't overpower the intended flavors of the dish. I may tell them I can handle it even hotter next time but really enjoyed it.

I ordered the Drunken Women's noodle dish. Everything was over salted and I didn't get the wide noodles in it either. I got over salted yakisoba. Never order here. It's awful.

I'm really grateful we found this place. The food was really great and service very friendly. I'm always happy to find smaller restaurants with great food for a good price.

Stopped by for dinner and shared the calamari, tom kha soup and the garlic stirfry with my spouse. The tom kha soup was good, but the calamari was the best I've had in awhile. It had tender meat and the lightest batter. Delicious! The garlic stir fry was also delcious. The broccoli wasn't overcooked and the sauce was so well balanced in flavor.

In addition, the owners are so lovely and take a lot of care and pride in their resturant. They definitely want to make you feel welcomed.

I ordered the stir fried mix and it was absolutely delicous. The price was under 20 per person, wich is awesome. The food was extremely flavorful and well portioned. Would reccomend!

My husband and I love Thai food. We tend to try all of the restaurants in the area. This place is definitely one of the better restaurants we've been to. The food is delicious and bright. The staff were very kind and quick. The restaurant felt clean and nicely decorated. Their calamari dish was one of the best I've had across the board. Definitely check this place out!

Food is made well and flavourful, providing fast and great service enthusiastically. I usually order takeout, but the restaurant is always clean. There is lots of parking always available.

I placed a to go order. The wonton soup broth is seasoned with garlic oil and brings the dish together nicely. I asked for medium heat on the fried rice and it was seasoned perfectly.

My fiancé and I went there for the first time and it was amazing! The food was great and the service was excellent. The Tom Yum Soup was delicious and they let you order it with or without noodles and let you choose your spice level. They also have the best Crab Rangoon’s I’ve had. We ordered the Fried Banana Ice Cream for dessert and would absolutely recommend anyone try it!
10/10 we definitely found out new regular spot 😊

The lady was very nice, greeted me. She was patience since I never been there before. After ordering food, she offered some water while I waited. When my food was ready, she asked if u needed utensils. Thanked me for going there. The food was good, it was mild, spicy enough. Next time I'll get pad Thai with chicken.

Ordered pad thai and massaman curry and both came out promptly and were very good. Owner Ken came ourt to check on us and everyone was very pleasurable, good ambiance and very clean. Gave me and my date plenty of time to chat and werent overbearing. Will definitely be back.

The Pad Thai was outstanding. We got both medium and hot spice. The hot was hot but could be hotter. I really recommend this restaurant.

Got the Tom Kha soup, Basil Fried Rice, and Pad Thai to go. Portions and pricing were competitive but the soup, while fine, was still the worst Tom Kha soup I’ve ever had. Pad Thai was solid. Basil Fried Rice was delicious but unfortunately had to toss it after a bite as I found a hair in it. Bummer

I ordered Pad See Eiw, Stir fried mixed vegetables! Everything was very tasty and presented in traditional Thai Style. Chopsticks were optional which I used. Everything on the menu was tempting, but my stomach is only so big. I’ll be sure to stop in for many more meals here!

The food was delicious and served quickly. The Pad Thai and Fried Rice was perfection in taste and presentation! The Thai Tea was the same as being served it in Thailand creamy, cold and sweetened to perfection. I actually thought I was back in Thailand eating.

Great Thai food and friendly staff. WE really like the wonton soup and drunken woman noodle. The fried banana and coconut ice cream was so yum. Shrimp fresh rolls is highly recommend for appetizer.

The drunken noodles were delicious, and the fresh basil added a nice fragrance. I also tried the Crab Rangoon I could easily have eaten two orders just by myself because they were so good, and Thai iced tea was a great drink to have with my food.
