It seems nice enough inside. The food was mediocre at best. Pad Se Ewe seems to be the best item after a couple of visits. There's no depth to the food. The Mongolian beef tasted like brown sugar, soy sauce and no real other marinated flavors. I would go somewhere else or at least the Cambodian place next door. Almost gave them 2 stars. The crab Rangoon was the tastiest part and I liked how it was pinched rather than twisted up. The garlic chicken had some pretty chewy pieces that were tough to chew through. The flavor was there at least, but a few pieces were tossed with a lot of fish sauce. The drunken noodles (not the name it goes by on the menu) needed flavor and almost had an old sponge taste. It was one of the few times I'd send it back. My counterpart said it was ok and said it didn't bother them, so take this info on this one as you will. The wait staff was kind enough, but almost seemed to just stare at us when they were around us. It was a little strange. I'm not sure I'd find a reason to come back here with so many good options nearby unless it was for a gathering.
Thai Hunt 2 is, without a doubt, a 5-star gem that deserves every bit of praise. My recent visit to this restaurant left me thoroughly impressed, and I'm delighted to share my glowing review.
The culinary delights at Thai Hunt 2 are truly outstanding. The green curry and Pad Thai I had were incredibly delicious, bursting with authentic Thai flavors that were both aromatic and delectable. The freshness of the ingredients and the skillful preparation are evident in every bite. If you're a fan of Thai cuisine, this place is a must-visit.
One of the aspects that truly distinguishes Thai Hunt 2 is its staff. The team here is wonderfully friendly, ensuring that every guest feels welcome and appreciated. Their attentive service and willingness to assist with menu choices or special requests contribute to the overall dining experience.
What sets this restaurant apart even further is the owner's caring approach to the entire experience. They go above and beyond to ensure that diners have an exceptional meal. Their dedication to providing top-notch cuisine and service is evident, and it makes all the difference in creating a memorable visit.
In summary, I highly recommend Thai Hunt 2 to anyone seeking an exceptional Thai dining experience. The food is exceptional, the staff is friendly, and the owner's commitment to creating a fantastic dining atmosphere is remarkable. This is a 5-star restaurant that consistently delivers on all fronts, and I can't wait to return to savor more of their delectable dishes.
Took a chance on a 4.4 star place and the food was just okay. If you’ve had a great Thai food experience this won’t compare or compete, you may even be disappointed, but it was tasty enough. The Thai tea was sparkling like it was made with carbonated water? I have never had it like that before, it was strange and I was not a fan. *edit****after looking at another review I think my tea was spoiled hence the strange flavor and carbonation…*** There were also two errors with my take out order - but both were corrected quickly and with ease which was very appreciated.
Had some curry and pad Thai, I added chicken to both and it warm but cold in the middle as if the chicken had been sitting in the freezer and developed freezer burn. I also had Thai tea but it was super sweet, usually it’s a bit bitter with a hint of sweetness. The flavor of the dishes were not great compared to years ago it was just ok, I’m honestly very disappointed and won’t be coming back.
One of my all-time favorite Thailand, food restaurants. My wife and mother-in-law also love it. The family that owns it does the cooking. Everything is freshen hot. It is prepared after you order it. The restaurant itself is spacious and you don’t feel overcrowded . the food is very delicious.
This place was excellent. The prices were low but the quantity and quality of the food was high. From the chicken satay appetizer to the sweet and sour chicken, the food was fresh, had a lot of meat and veggies and was delicious.
The server was nice and the order was delivered was server perfectly as ordered.
Very reasonable prices and pretty good food. We ordered papaya salad lao style, pad see ew with chicken, and spicy basil with chicken. The owner was very friendly.

Absolutely delicious curry! The food was hot delicious & even better one of the staff gave me extra rice to go with my leftover curry!
amazing food 👌👌👌👌👌
This place is owned by the sweetest couple and ran by the family..food is fantastic!! I definitely recommend! Try it try it try it!!!
Wow! I got chicken satay to go! Came with four skewers of roasted curried chicken, peanut sauce and a sweet tasty veggie salad on the side. I have picked up so many orders for doordash from here, finally tried them and was nothing short of impressed. Genuine and friendly service as well as delicious food. Will be back. 10/10
Greate food and service.

The food here is freshly made, authentic, and tasty!!! The staff is friendly and welcoming! A revisit is warranted.
This food is so good and friendly staff. My favorite is chicken phad thai and my dad likes Veggie fried rice. We are regular customers for a long time.
Ginger delight is delish...
Best Thai restaurant in Tacoma and it’s not even close. Favorites chicken pad se ew 2 star spicy, Thai style papaya salad 2 star spicy and the mango coconut rice.
Great place, 3 was not spicy at all, small amounts of meat, gravy on one dish was minimal; Thai tea excellent!

We took my sister to airport and feel hungry . We decided to the this restaurants because the first date us was come her but so bad when we think we will have memories when back and OMG SHE DESTROYED ALL If I had a 0 star button I would be bad review for the waiter, the waiter young is treat nice with me and my boyfriend . And another waiter she treat us rude way .Still have more time . At that moment, there was a family table to eat next to us , We were still enjoying our food when the first family table left, my boyfriend enjoyed his meal, when the elderly woman appeared and tried to ask us, I needed Togo food, I felt uncomfortable when she was stopped me when I’m eating, I agree because I'm angry when she keeps watching when I eat and talk get Togo . And she keeps asking my boyfriend .when he's about to finish his food .she still ask “does he need Togo ? “ And he replied NO I don’t need .and she laughed rudely. She still looked at us with strange eyes, when I paid she was pretending to praise me and slander my boyfriend to me, it's ridiculous she sitting reception table still look rude with us
When I told my family and colleagues they told me No tip her because we paid for the food and tip was for the unworthy service. I tip on bill but I just think that anyone is working hard, I hope she won't think that treating customers badly is still tipped. WRONG.I solved it well and what I got back from her was too bad. I hope when the owner of this restaurant read can remind her not to treat other guests in my case
While the restaurant closes at 9, the server passive-aggressivly tried clicking us out 15 minutes before. Even though we were clearly in the middle to eat, we were asked if we'll take boxes. After saying no, the server made an angry face and kept stearing out us for the rest of the time, patientless. Very bizarre.
First time ordering from this place, pork spare ribs terrible! It had only 5 small pieces mostly bone, not much meat.
There was hard items in the soup, that wasn't just one or two but I finally quit eating it. It's my favorite soup, but not there. Never will I go back, couldn't even find someone to pay for about 4 minutes, no one was out on the floor.
Ordered some fried chicken wings and calamari for pickup. Both dishes were very bland. The chicken wings were supposed to be seasoned but did not look like it. I was hoping the chili sauce would help but that was watered down and tasted like plain water. May son said the same thing about the food.
Very friendly waitress. Shes a sweet lady. Made my fiancé and I feel so welcome. We went for Valentine’s Day. Had the red curry and it was delicious. Will be coming again!

Be careful if you order a vegan dish! They're one of the few Thai places that will swap out fish sauce for a vegan sauce but they won't swap out other non-vegan items automatically. I got a pad Thai with vegan sauce but it still had eggs :( partially my fault but wanted to warn yall
Great food!!!
While the portions were a good size, the food lacked flavor. For example, the pad see iew was mainly oily with minimal sweet dark sauce. The meat, while not dry, wasn't soft and flavorful. Another example is that the ginger chicken didn't taste like ginger, it was just stir fried vegetables and meat. The staff were friendly and the prices were decent. Overall, I would explore a different thai restaurant instead of returning.
Fell in love with this place. Used to go to...well, another popular Thai restaurant. This place has us for delivery and dine in now!
Accidentally stumbled on this hidden gem In Tacoma as we were traveling. Lovely owner who served some of the freshest Thai we have had in a while. We enjoyed our food and chat with the owner. She just took over and I think has high standards for the success of her business. Recommend.
Best Thai food in Tacoma and I swear by it. The owner is the sweetest, the food is delicious, and the service is fantastic! I will definitely come back again!!!
This place used to be my favorite Thai restaurant. I have been a patron for over 15 years. However, today after church me and two other families decided we wanted to have lunch here. We walked in and were immediately told they could not serve us since we did not call 24 hours prior to let them know a party over 8 wanted to have a meal. What was odd was there was absolutely know one else in the restaurant eating. I asked would it be ok if each family sat at their own table. We were met with another no. The worker was on the phone with the owner as she delivers this decision. This place has truly gone down hill since the new owners. They just lost another loyal customer. I will never step foot in here and never refer to them as the best in Tacoma.
We ordered several dishes, ginger shrimp, basil pork, spicy squid, and shrimp fried rice, all were average. The portions were small. The only tasty dish was the fried rice.
Ordered Lao style papaya salad. OMG....how far of white washing a traditional dish can you go. YUK!!
Just shredded papaya tossed in with tomato, string bean with fish sauce.
Best Thai we have had in Tacoma
BEST PAD THAI HANDS DOWN!!!! Not only that, but the customer service was excellent. The chef came and talked to us and felt very welcomed!
I've visited twice already....enjoyed the mango fried rice
I get the spicy Tofu Pad Thai noodles and its always amazing, hot and a great amount. My go to spot for Good quality Thai food.
Great food!
Always fresh....so friendly!!
Sweet and sour de pollo y camaron. Y ademas hay un cargo de 20 % de propina.
Some of the best food I ever had
Definitely recommend if you’re in the area stop by and have some delicious food
Unfortunately, the staff attitude made it a bad experience. At 810pm I ordered a to-go, at 840 the lady said it it would be about 30-45 minutes. I came back at 9pm and they locked the doors. No phone call to say it was ready and they just ignored me at the door after I had came back when they told me to.
Almost restaurants make their last call at closing time, but at least communicate that you won’t complete your orders.
But that’s going to be their own issue to work out.
Been going there for a long time, from when I was in college and til now. the food never disappoints. Perfect spice combinations and wide variety of options. The servicing sizes are great, plenty for sharing or eating alone. Still great taste in leftovers as well.
Clean bathrooms, clean seating. Friendly service without pestering. Reasonable pricing, good portions. Fried food did not taste like old grease. Fresh Spring Rolls did not taste like soap; if you know, you know. The only negative, which is minor I'll admit, was minimal meat in Spring Rolls... not worth a star deduction, or a reason not to return; just worth a mention in case you expect meaty Spring Rolls. About $70 for 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, 2 drinks, & tip.
Kee Mao Jay was delicious and service was quick.
Great food great service! This is my go to spot for panang curry I love the flavor and the mix. Chicken wings were nicely fried and our tofu fried rice was flavorful. We didn’t really enjoy the mango sticky rice dessert but overall the service and quality of food was excellent. Our server not sure her name was helpful and friendly. Parking is located all over and lots of seating
Best pad kee mao I’ve ever had.
Love the tom yum seafood soup
Ordered Swimming Rama: consisted of plain strips of boiled chicken on a huge bed of raw spinach covered with peanut sauce. Do not recommend thus plain dish. Waitress was friendly. The mens restrooms could use a disfectant cleaning.
Great food. Amazing service. Very friendly.
Always amazing
Delicious food and kind staff make for a good restaurant. Who knew? 🤷♂️
Waiter was not really the most experienced, but he was trying his best. Food was good and fresh.
Honestly, their food is great and their service used to be awesome, but I can't say that now. Their hours have become unreliable and unpredictable which makes it hard to frequent their business. We have been coming here for years to get take out but the last couple of times we have tried they have been closed but their hours don'y reflect this online.
Food is good but hours are inconsistent. It's hard to get food when you don't know if they will be open or not
An unassuming location serving very good Thai food. One of the best Tom Kha's I've ever had. Will stop here anytime I'm in the area.
My high standard for Thai food in Tacoma. Walking in, the atmosphere is casual enough you never feel underdressed, but the beautiful wood artwork, variety of lighting, and flowing plants give you a classy place to go out for an evening dinner.
The food and service are the main attraction and focus for this restaurant. The chefs know how to cook a vegetable both flavorful and still lightly crunchy (highly recommend their eggplant dishes). They have your standard pad thai dishes but also have dishes outside of your standard American Thai spot, and clear descriptions to guide you.
Every dish is worth having again and again, and will hopefully be around in Tacoma for years to come. Their Tom Yum soup is second to none in Tacoma. My only downside is the inconsistency of spice level, which I believe changes with who's their chef on staff. I recommend asking for spice on the side if it's just not hot enough.
Great food. Very well done. Great tasting. The waitress was fast in greeting us. Friends. Accurate in order taking. Gave the belief that she was happy to have you there, and happy to serve you.
Best Tom kha in the whole state
Delicious food, many vegan options, quick and friendly service.
I’ve eaten here for over 14 years… it has been my favorite Thai restaurant until the new owner took over. I never thought I would personally have to come and write a review about what my family just experienced. We were last fed raw chicken and thought maybe it was just a bad day, but today it was burnt and black. Like completely inedible… I ordered pad se ew which is my go to every time I go, and it did not taste right, taste like mold. It was mushy and I couldn’t stomach it. Being someone who cooks myself, I’m familiar with the texture. It’s when you use old noodles and have to cook it down so much in order to get it soft .. even the 5 star spice I ordered couldn’t mask the moldy flavor. My whole family got it today and every single dish tasted the same. I don’t want to be a Karen but someone needs to look into this. Last time I had old moldy broccoli and this time it was the noodles.. my chicken wings were over cooked seemingly in old black oil and my kids should not be eating this. I tossed all of it and wasted my $65… very very unsettling and disappointing… just look at the photo.. you tell me what to think..
Generous helpings of well flavored and prepared food
Great Thai food!!!
Food and service was good...they have lunch specials...a lot of food and low price ....recommend
The Tom Ka soup is the best around.
Order pad Thai and pad kee Mao, very bland!
This was my go-to place for the longest time. They had a phenomenal Pad Woon Sen Jay and an equally impressive Pad Kee Mao.
I branched out and starting having Chicken Larb and it was good. Not great, but good. Then, the last time I was in there, something didn't taste quite right but I thought it was just extra vinegar. Until that night. Food poisoining. Now, I can't have larb or go by the restaurant without feeling my stomach tie into knots.
This is my favorite Thai place in Tacoma. The Massaman is really good, and everything else I've tried was delicious as well. They also have a very friendly staff and a warm atmosphere.
Got lucky enough to order my food during door dash photo time and got to eat with the crew. Seriously great people and genuinely caring. My favorite Thai spot period.
Had great tasting food, and service was often and great. The staff was very kind as well.
Yummy
Best Tom Kah
Very good food for reasonable prices.
Love this place, we found it by accident a few months back and it has become a favorite!!! Pad Thai is delicious
Good prices, great service, wonderful food.
Tasty
It was delicious !!! Good service and if that's not enough the food came out quick. Need I say more? 👍👍👍
The food is great and you will not find better service anywhere. Apparently it's family owned and you can tell. You will not go wrong here.
The food will literally heal you’re soul!! Definitely recommend!!
Needs a little more spice but very good.
It was "okay" - just that - okay. Mediocre at best. The place was clean, and fairly nice/attractive, at least, but the food was marginal at best, and somewhat overpriced, to be honest. *What I took issue with... There is an older woman who works there, and her English is not so good. I could not seem to make her understand the issue of food allergies. ( Please be aware, if you have any kind of a seafood allergy - there is fish sauce in almost everything, here, including the peanut sauce - YUCK. )
Based on the reviews, we chose this restaurant. I am not sure if someone new made our pad thai but it was absolutely not pleasant. It was lacking in taste, it had flat noodles and not typical pad thai noodles. It also had pineapple, tomatoes and edamame.
My fresh rolls were ripped and the peanut sauce was not like normal peanut sauce.
We were so bummed that we almost took it back but wasn't worth the trip. We will not come back again.
Love this place I so wish I got a few pics. Got pad Thai and orange chicken. Is was awesome. And great people
Nice place even have some good beers food was fantastic I think you'll enjoy it just check it out
Good food
Family fried rice is so awesome
Perfect place for authentic Thai cuisine.
Ok be of the best for authentic Thai food. Sauces are really tasty and reasonable price.
Staff is lovely, not rushing us out. Food was good.
i ate here all the times .. Ordered foods almost $50 and ask for lemon 🍋.. they charged me $1.00 just for 1 small piece of lemon ..really disappointed this place i will never come back again .. u just lost a value customer.
This place was excellent. The prices were low but the quantity and quality of the food was high. From the chicken satay appetizer to the sweet and sour chicken, the food was fresh, had a lot of meat and veggies and was delicious.
The server was nice and the order was delivered was server perfectly as ordered.
The food was awesome, however the customer service lacked. We were the only people int he restaurant and unfortunately the waitress was too busy watching Judge Judy to notice that we needed drink refills and to go boxes.
Best Thai food in town! We ordered takeout for my birthday and they gave me a free Thai tea. Somehow the rice lasts in the fridge better than any other rice I've ever had, too, so the food is just as good (if not better) on day 2. Amazing jungle curry and the fried rice options are all to die for
The panang curry was great!
Delicious pad see ewe
Always great
It was ok the lady was very pleasant to talk to
It was v tasty
Always super good food and not overpriced. The employees are nice and quick service. Def a go to place for my family.
Fantastic food, staff is absolutely wonderful, and awesome Cooks.
My favorite restaurant. Food is very tasty and reasonably priced.
Nice service with good food. Presentation could improve, but overall a very pleasant dining experience.
Mongolian Beef was fresh and savory. The plate portion was more than I could finish which is always a good thing. The restaurant itself is decorated nicely; although, the booth seats are far away from the table.
Pretty good lunch sized portions for a good price. Good people too
Great food!
Love the food! Love the people!😁
Good food and service. Gets busy but worth the wait.
Perhaps not their best day. Second time I have dined here. Took it home. Not bad but a tad bland. I'd still give em another shot.
Oh my goodness, this is a new restaurant for me first time here. The jungle curry with coconut milk was amazing. Also try the walnut salad that was the best🥳
I gave this place a try again after a long time and it is pretty good. I like the damily combo rice, indian noodles, and the service. the older lady treats you like your family so you get. a warm feel from the place!!
Best thai food in town
Very pleased with my experience. Food was delicious, staff was friendly, prices were fair.
Always good service, always good food.
Awesome fried rice and fast service!
Friendly staff excellent food and good beer choice. We had a great time for a reasonable price & plan to go back
Everyone was super friendly and pleasant... Fast service. Great food!!
Pad Thai, Mongolian beef and brocoli, crab wontons and Chicken larb salad were perfect! Will definitely order again!
Wonderful staff, wonderful food.
Amazing food! Absolutely love their rice.
I went on my lunch break, so time limits were in place, but Thai Hut was fast and courteous in getting me seated, menu'd, and fed. I ordered the green curry lunch combo. 4 star heat. It was tasty, had good portions, and the coconut curry was smooth. On days like today, PNW dark with depressive rain, Thai Hut definitely warmed my soul. Thanks Thai Hut!
First time having Thai food. It's delicious.
Ive virtually tried everything on the menu for the past 10 years. My favorites are thr Pad Khee Mao (Drunken noodles), tom kha soup, and the salmon curry in a young coconut. Authentic, adorable owner. Also spice levels dont end from 1-6, if you love spicy you can go higher, I typicallu get between 10-13 stars, you pay more for chilies if you get a dish over 19 stars. I love this place.
We enjoyed the jungle curry but will probably stick to the other Thai restaurants we frequent. It was more expensive since rice isn't included with curry.
I recently ordered Curry, "Fried Spring Rolls" and Tom Kai Soup via Grubhub from this restaurant. While the food came in a decent amount of time I was disappointed to find that the Curry came with no rice. Also the Spring roll was nothing but a cabbage egg roll. I called the restaurant and I was informed that their dishes don't come with rice and I would have to order it extra. I've never had a Curry without rice and a Spring roll is completely different than what was served. The quality of the food was good but they should absolutely update the menu to show they don't serve rice with their menu items. How does one eat Curry without rice? Disappointing.
Great food, great prices and excellent service!
Tried this place for the first time and will definitely come back. Food was fantastic and service was great as well.
Amazing food and very affordable. I dont like pad Thai. because is usually sweet but they made it with oUT sugar
The food here is immaculate. Accompanied by staff that are friendly and knowledgeable with romantic feeling atmosphere. I will continue to dine here as long as it’s open and highly recommended everyone try it
Amazingly nice lady took my order, great service, Their food is always great and cooked perfectly!
We always get the same thing , Chicken Pad and bbq pork . Very good taste, large portions, good value for your dollar. We have been going there for years and we will continue .
Great food and friendly staff!
Dinner was delicious! The Thom kha was perfect!!
Always awesome customer service, amazing food, and very accommodating to food allergies.
