Classic Thai curries & noodle dishes served in a snug, saffron-colored dining room.
I read the guide book, I knew better than to except a free coke from a friendly Thia guy who offered to take me on a "free boatride" I came to in a taxi back to my hotel. You might assume that I felt as ripped off as I did tonight when some Thia guy shorted my order , but no I was greatfull to have met a master Thai con man and I fell for it. Next time I'll be better prepared.
First time here, and it was more expensive than I expected, but very delicious. I will visit again!
We ordered the Kao Soi Gai (curry noodle soup with chicken leg), which had a homely taste and lived up to its Mama's Recipe label. The Phad Kee Mao (drunken noodle) was also very tasty. Fried tofu is very crispy and I love the peanuts in the sauce. The Thai Tea and dessert (Khao Niew Dum Piek) were a bit too sweet for me, but not overly so. The tea had a strong tea flavor, and the taro in the dessert was very fragrant, balancing out the sweetness.
This place feels like eating at someone’s home - which I like. I lived in Thailand for 2 years and the food here tastes very original. Their portions are big for a fair price. We like doing family stay and sharing a few yummy dishes. Personally, it’s a local favorite now that I’m in Seattle.
I usually come here out of convenience. I've dined in and gotten take out from Yum Yum before (ordered by phone and online). If you order online, they send emails communicating when the order is ready. They're always fast and pretty quick, but I usually only order 2-3 items anyway. The restaurant isn't that great for dining in, so I prefer getting take out.
My go to items are the Chinese sausage fried rice and the yellow curry. The fried rice has a lot of my favorite fried rice ingredients, but the last time I started to get sick of the Chinese sausage taste. I like that the yellow curry comes with a tiny cucumber salad on the side (of course wish there was more). Probably because there's not much to the yellow curry - just meat, potatoes, and onions.
They allow you to customize the spiciness of every dish, and even when I picked 1-2 stars, I could taste just the right amount of spiciness in a good way.
I love this restaurant. The food is very affordable and tastes delicious. I am very happy when I find Thai restaurants that do not need to add a lot of sugar or oil to make the food taste good. Their Spicy Noodle with chicken and prawns is my absolute favorite here. I would highly recommend checking out this restaurant to anyone in the area. I have been back here 4+ times and still love their food.
My impression of this restaurant is quintessential Seattle… family owned small business, local clientele, flavors and recipes that are true to the owners’ heritage and personal narrative. They are kind and friendly, but business focused.
I ordered the beef salad. The meat was tender and vegetables fresh. The salad dressing was okay, a little grainy. I plan on trying the Rama noodles next time.
Visited this place multiple times and keep on going back whenever I order Thai food! My go to place in Seattle. I have tried multiple Thai restaurants in downtown and Shoreline area and none of them come close to authentic taste that I have found here!
Highly recommend noodles (phad see iew, spicy noodles, kao soi gai); crab fried rice. I have tried a handful of things so far but going by those I am sure others taste as good or better.
Have ordered to go so far, but the restaurant seems cozy on the inside and has outdoor dining space as well. Host is friendly, engages in good conversation!

Our weekly neighborhood "Date Meal" is always from Yum Yum Thai - my husband has an incredibly restricted diet due to health and we can always get something for him made in a way that isn't a "dealbreaker" for his health - everyone is incredibly nice and the food is always delicious and fresh - the place is very cute and cozy, too!
Very bad food. Chicken wings are microwaved and cold in the inside. Friend rice veggies are raw, shrimps are raw. Beef over cook for my phad see ew. Last but not least, the 6 chicken wings are 16 bucks
My go to restaurant. Good food, good service, good ambient, easy parking, ...
But this one time, 11/3/24, the Pad See Ew dish is not up to usual. We come here when in the area.

Best Thai restaurant ever. The service & the food is consistently delicious.
The food is perfect but the behavior of the cashier is rude.
She seems like she is always angry. And not friendly.

Amazing thai!!
I want to love this place because it is right by my apt and I go here a lot. Food is good, but it really depends… like fried rice has 4-5 pieces of bit size meat and just 90%rice. I find this true for noodle dishes as well. Which may be fine for some folks but it is not a 5star for me. Khao soi is what i like here the most. The younger counter lady is nice but dont expect kindness from the older lady.
We ordered online. I looked in saw it said sticky rice. On the website it indicated that the sticky rice came with mango and drizzled with coconut milk. What we recieved did not have mango. When I drove back, she said she had to call. She said they would fix it but when the order came out there was only 1 sticky rice with mango. She said because of the price difference she could only do 1, I had to pay for the second and wait another 10 minutes. I had to drive back pay for another and wait 10 minutes. Not sure how she figured that was making it right. Lost all future business. In this day and age you would think for $10 you would save a customer who has spent hundreds and would probably spent hundreds more.

Smells exactly like the Thai restaurants in Thailand, food is amazing, and the staff are the best!
I had a great time coming here. I ordered the Coconut Juice to start, and I've gotta say...it's refreshing. I love the little bits of coconut in it that you can chew on.
We ordered Chicken Satay to start, and then Beef and Broccoli, Garlic Chicken, Green Curry, and Pad Thai.
I only tried the Chicken Satay, Brocoli Beef and Garlic Chicken, since I'm not that big of a Pad Thai person, and wasn't in the mood for curry. I do have to say, the food I had was amazing.
To start, the Chicken Satay was great. I always love the spices. And the size of the skewers you get was a lot more than most places. With the cucumber and peanut sauce, it was perfect.
For the Broccoli Beef, it was very fragrant, and flavorful. The beef was nice and meaty tasting, with a tender texture, and the broccoli was nice and crunchy, and not overcooked.
The Garlic Chicken was nice and garlicky, with some fried garlic on top too, I think. Same deal as the Broccoli Beef though where the broccoli is concerned, nice, hot, and crunchy, but not overcooked, with some soft florets.
My dad had the Curry and the Pad Thai, and tends to get them spicy, and he'd probably recommend both, considering his reactions to them during the meal.
The woman working there was really polite and nice, and overall was a great hostess.
The atmosphere was really cool too, a lot of neat things to look at inside, and a good but of natural sunlight coming from the windows. It wasn't too busy when we went, but that's how I like it.
Excellent food, many thanks.
Best Thai food in town! Great local spot, really good prices and always the best flavors! We go quite often for takeout and they are always so sweet. Everything is so yummy especially the Mango sticky rice and Tom Kah soup
Absolutely delicious food and great service
Fantastic food, perfect service, great ambience. 10/10
I came here with my parents for my bday. My dad and I like spicy, but my mom doesn't so we opted to have the dishes not spicy and instead ask for spices on the side. The waiter, an older asian woman made us feel guilty every time we asked for spices, and every time we asked she brought us out a tiny little plate so we had to keep asking for more. At one point she very loudly said to my dad "How much more do you want?" I even asked for napkins for the three of us and received one napkin and went to ask for more and received one more napkin. Like really? We still tipped despite the stinginess but will not be coming back. As customers, to be treated like that when there is so much competition in Seattle was insane. Food was ok, but the service made this a non peaceful birthday celebration at this location.
Got the red curry with pumpkin and chicken. Really great and the service was fantastic.
I came here to pickup a delivery order and the older woman working the counter seemed really annoyed that I was there and didn’t even say a word to me at all. Like sorry I’m delivering to your customer?
Pad Thai and fried rice here is delicious, so full of flavor!! Portions are very generous, definitely recommend!
Not my good ol' thai restaurant anymore... :(
I used to go here for most weeks when I was a college student.
The owners were really warm-hearted and nice. Both lady and man greeted me with smiles.
I came back there after like 4 years and the new lady stared at me and my girlfriend like she was irritated.
Not even saying hi or bye or even Thank you.
But I thought that was just her way of acting to other people.
But then she smiled and greeted a white man lol.
And she was nice to him and smiled and say Thank you in a low voice.
Well I don't like what I experienced that day. And I don't think she should discriminate asian people and even she is also asian.
I'm not coming back to this place. My good memories are shattered.
Our favorite neighborhood Thai restaurant. They make great curries and Pad Thai.
Delicious food and excellent service!
*I'm not someone who typically writes Google reviews, but my recent experience at this restaurant has prompted me to share my concerns.*
My boyfriend and I visited this place for takeout. I smiled and said Hi to you, a Thai woman wearing glasses, but you responded with a stern, unresponsive expression. When I mentioned that I wanted to place a to-go order, you still didn't respond but you rather stared at us as if we did something wrong, so my boyfriend had to take the lead in placing our order. Once again, you remained silent.
When our order was ready, you finally spoke, simply stating the price as "$14.20." It was the only word you spoke to us. I received the receipt, and due to your unpleasant demeanor, I decided not to leave a tip. As you took the receipt, your expression seemed to convey your displeasure.
Up until this point, I hadn't considered it as a case of racial discrimination, assuming you might have been in a bad mood for some other reason. However, my perspective shifted when the next customer, a white gentleman, entered the restaurant. You greeted him with 'How are you?' and spoke politely, saying '$XX.XX, please' and 'thank you.' But when my food was ready, you called out 'pad thai' with a harsh expression. Even when I thanked you as I received my food, you still did not respond.
Feeling extremely uncomfortable, I left the restaurant with my boyfriend. If you are not satisfied with your current role, I would earnestly suggest considering a different career path. Your attitude is unprofessional and leaves customers feeling uncomfortable. I paid for my food, but the experience was marred by discomfort. You are asian and also me too, treating people differently based on their race is extremely disrespectful. At the very least, your behavior does not seem suitable for a customer service role. I hope you understand it.
So gross! Didn’t even finish food
Cute indoor setting and delicious food!
Loved the crab rangoon and curry!
I love this place. It’s hands down one of the top two best Thai restaurants I’ve ever had. My favorite dishes are the Pad See Ew with fried tofu, crab fried rice, and fried calamari. The food is always fresh, reasonably priced and delicious. I highly suggest this place to anyone looking for yummy Thai food.
If you’re looking for homestyle plates of thai food and cheap drinks, this is absolutely the place. If you’re looking for fancy cookery with unique garnishes and flair, not so much. A family-run neighborhood business with excellent service, but if you’re looking to be “wow’ed” with flavor and atmosphere, Thai bistro is the spot in Shoreline. Pretty great food at a bargain prices for the Seattle area though.
I love the food here that’s never been an issue it’s always fresh and ready. The problem is their hours are never correct and some of the staff are rude. The hours on their website say 9pm all days of the week that they are open till. They are never consistent with these hours and close their kitchen a half an hour before their business hours are. I called and the women was very rude who picked up the phone. We have been loyal customers for a while now but since covid the customer service and hours have been a joke. I will neither be eating here ever again.
Best Thai ever, go here every week.
The food is authentic and freshly made. Service was amazing and food was delicious. Would highly recommend this place
Very yum.. Yum yum
Just when there because I couldn't find anything to eat and needed parking
A.lot of parking space
We ordered the yellow curry and rama noodles. The chicken was so good, we forgot to add the spice level but I think it brought out the flavors even more. The Thai ice tea was also super good and unique. The server and chef are very sweet people, thank you:)
Very horrible service, very rude. When i ordered over the phone, after i gave her my order she just said “okay” and hung up the phone. When i came in to pick up she was being very rude and rushing me when there was only 1 other person in the restaurant.
I believe other stuff are good, tai fried rice is not good (compared with other tai restaurant in same price range). rice stick together, chicken water boiled with bad texture. feel like rush.
Delicious Thai food. Quick service. No frills atmosphere.
Love getting take out from this place (wouldn't mind dining in either, just haven't had chance) - classic menus like pad thai are done well
They have the best beef noodle soup 🥰
The fact we have two Thai restaurants here in Lake City and order from Shoreline says a lot. Food at Yum Yum is always good but today, whoever was cooking at 1 pm gets a 6*, Phad Thai delicious, Spicy Noodle also delicious, Tom Yum again delicious. Everything sooo good!!! Highly recommend.
I can't say much as this was a to go stop on a long drive south, but...
Oh My Gosh!!!! This was by far the best Thai I've had in decades!
Don't think too hard about it, just go and experience the food. It is soooooooooo good!!!
That was really good. Had the papaya salad and pad thai. The papaya salad was pretty good... but the pad thai was great. Nice bouncy noodle texture and great flavoring. The portions are very generous too. Give it a try.
Excellent food and great service.
Just picked some food up from them, but got warm vibes from the woman at the counter 🥰
This is my favorite place to go when i’m looking to have comfort food. Such a great place and amazing food!
Great curry.
Very friendly staff and delicious fish cakes 🤤
Food was really good and at a cheap price! And the workers were really kind. I had the mango sticky rice as well as green curry and it was delicious!!!🤩🤩🤩🤩
A small little hidden jem, it's reasonably priced and had great food, service was nice and friendly & would recommend to a friend!
Was lucky enough to meet Chef YoYo at a local Filipino market, super friendly and gave me a coupon. Otherwise, the food here was DELICIOUS with great flavor and generous portions. Very reasonable price too. I did takeout with the pad thai and green curry, but the ambience of the restaurant was so cozy and warm. Will definitely come back again.
Delicious! Came in with a group of 6. Everyone got something different and everyone was super satisfied! I will definitely be coming back. It's so rare to get a quality meal at such a good price!
The staff here are wonderful. ❤️
Pleasant surprise, just beyond the busiest area and no wait. Easy parking and food was delicious. Decent prices and good portion sizes. Will come back again.
The server was so rude when we went there last night. We joined our 2 friends who were already eating there. While greeting each other the server asked in an angry tone if we will all seat together and we replied yes. She turned around and talked to the other lady in their language while pointing at us. I couldn't take that kind of attitude so Iasked her if she's mad at us. I told her that she's being rude and that's not how you treat customers. We are decent middle aged people so none of us could understand why she acted like that toward us. Maybe 2 of our friends were wearing dirty clothes because they just got off from construction job. That's the only reason we could think of. First and last we'll step in in that place.
Soup was so testy bad, looks like water and mushrooms 😩 and no noodles in the soup 🙃 I will never back to this place again
Love this place has the best Thai food
The food was delicious. The service was really good, they were very nice and prompt.
Every time I get a chicken pad Thai it either had no flavor or taste burnt. This isn’t just a one time thing it happens almost every time I order it.
Walked in from a first autumn chill with an appetite and need of a relaxing lunch. What a wonderful space to eat in. Sat in the glow of a sunny window warmed and cozy. Then the delight of a healthy and flavorful dish served by a pleasant host. Turns out this is my daughters-in-law and granddaughter's favorite place to eat. I'll be back!
Don’t know if I came on an offday but based on the other reviews it was quite disappointing - just your run of the mill Thai restaurant with average food. Greasy and salty. (Tasted like bottled sauce.) I came on a sleepy sunday afternoon and was there was another table with 2 people there and service was still very bad, the server/cashier was rude. Won't recommend this place based on my personal experience.
the thai icea tea with curries; my absolute favorite combo!! + an affordable price range and cute decorations on the window that caught my attention the whole time we were there!
Yellow curry is outta site. I've only had uber eats from this restaurant but it's consistently good. Thai ice tea is yummy too.
Small cozy place with tasty food!
The rangoons make you want to say yum! Then they brought out the pad Thai and one bite makes you say YUM YUM! Double the fun. Double the food portions. Double the yum.
I went to Yum Yum Thai Restaurant with my mom for lunch today. I'm disabled and use a wheelchair to get around and Yum Yum Thai Restaurant does not have a wheelchair accessible entrance. My mom wheeled me up to the stairs in my wheelchair and I climbed the few stairs up and my mom, who has difficulty walking up stairs as well carried my wheelchair up the stairs. She helped me back into my wheelchair and we had a difficult time maneuvering into the restaurant. The food was pretty good but for the effort to get in was way too much. Definitely not worth the trouble to get inside. I am very disappointed with my experience at Yum Yum Thai Restaurant. I will not consider getting takeout because I can't get inside to pick it up. And the food isn't good enough to spend anything extra for delivery. I have to give Yum Yum Thai Restaurant an absolute thumbs down rating. It was not good enough for the trouble.
Denies bathroom access despite being open for dine in. Not cool.
Customer service is bad and the vegetables where undercooked better off going to Kaosomi in Fremont little pricey but the quality is much better.
Delish! My first time there and was pleasantly surprised. Will definately be going back and will eat in the restaurant.
Extremely bad customer service Asking questions that answer is no,I don’t know , I don’t wanna waste my time , etc ……
Food was good.
Very rude
Spent 4 weeks in Thailand and love the soup here - both chicken and beef are very good! Very tasty recommend 5* of you like spicy but my family likes it more mild and it still good, closest to Thailand 🇹🇭 Out of many restaurants around Seattle. Will be back when I’m in the area! People are very nice and friendly as well great place!
Not open when they said they would be. Using plastic to go containers instead of paper or something
Fast, good food and nice staff.
Gave me a diarrhea but worth it
Since I've moved to the area I've eaten here at least once, if not multiple times a month. Good food and fair prices. Great for take out and enough room inside to eat in if you wanted.
Great food, accurate spice levels, small dining area, kind staff. Vaccinations checked.
Good selection of Thai dishes. I had the mussaman curry, which was better than most other places but not as spicy as I was hoping (I asked for 4 star spiciness and it was nowhere near that)
Maybe that was just an oversight in the order rather than a cooking mistake.
Hot tea gets a small teapot of hot water and a basket of teabags to pick from.
Nice ambience in the small seating area. Wife loved the special prepared rose tea
I absolutely love the Mussaman curry!
Uh… That’s not in what I expected. ☹️😔😔😔
Decent food. Not as bad as this reviewer said it is:
"All Food bland and generic. The salad was basically chopped iceberg lettuce with a couple of small pieces of tomato and carrot. Priced at $8."
What did you expect from a dang salad? It's best not to order salad at a restaurant period.
We have eaten at Yum Yum Thai many times and it is our favorite Thai restaurant in Shoreline by far. We always grab take out and after accidentally getting the wrong order, the staff offered to bring the food to our house! We were so impressed by the level of service and their willingness to make it right. One of the many reasons we will continue to support this business 🤗
All Food bland and generic. The salad was basically chopped iceberg lettuce with a couple of small pieces of tomato and carrot. Priced at $8.
Good food, service etc recommend, pad Thai was especially good.
Great service! Great food!
Ordered the beef and broccoli in oyster sauce. I had one bite and could not eat anymore. The meat was the gray color of boiled beef. It was chewy and tasteless. The oyster sauce was the consistency of water and did not flavor anything. This is my first time there and I will not be going back
This place is so good! I used to live int the neighborhood and we'd go at least once a week. Huge portions and super cheap! $10 an entree is amazing! And the ladies who work there are super sweet!
Authentic Pad Thai!
Good!! Try spicy fried rice with pineapple!
Excellent panang curry chicken and pad kee mao!
Just tried YUM YUM for the first time. Got the Tom Kha w/chix. Creamy, spicey (3), tangy and absolutely delicious. Will definitely be trying other delights there in the future. Highly recommend!!! Perfect🤘
Ordered the pad Thai and didn’t like it. The noodles & tofu were white because they didn’t have enough sauce. I think the sauce used was from a packet, not homemade because it was really runny without a lot of flavor. Something just tasted (& smelled) “off.”
Food is good. But it's inconsistent. If theyre busy, the food comes out dry and missing ingredients, if you catch them when theyre not busy, the food is great.
We love this place and have been trying to order takeout from them several times a month to help ensure the come through all this. Great food and really great staff and good prices... well worth ordering
We love the food here! I really like the rama noodle, and my wife likes the massaman curry.
This is a great little spot. I always call my orders in, longest ive ever had to wait was 20 minutes. Prepandemic It was a regular stop. I still order to go, just not as often.
Best Thai restaurant in Shoreline, everything we have tried is delicious.
Food was okay. Service was a bit slow, but I had a good experience overall.
Great food
Favorite is Pad Thai with Chicken. Food is almost always ready when I get there via phone order. Take out only, for now.
Well cooked and tasty every time.
Delicious food. Friendly staff. Decent portions & prices.
A family favorite for a dozen years (well, they ARE ridiculously close to our home) we have enjoyed the speed of service, the freshness of ingredients, and on a warm day, the cool of their patio for dinner. We're stuck on our favorites, which means they're consistent, and don't forget, the early bird always gets
the best service! 😂
Best place to get Thai food! Friendly staff, speedy service, amazing taste.
Great Thai for a great price
Great spot for quick Thai food. Curry was very flavorful. 4 star wasn't too much for a regular spicy eater
Delicious food and fast/friendly service
Great service, friendly people, great food
Love this restaurant. Food really good.
``Great service quick response`
Outstanding for a Cafe style little restaurant. We go here all the time and I get takeout. The food is constantly good to excellent, service is great. Atmosphere is pleasant and not too noisy even when it's busy.
Good food, good prices, nice server
